Congressman Rangel Claims Millions of Kids “Being Shot Down by Assault Weapons”

Find the dumbest one

Where exactly is this happening? Africa? WW2? I doubt either one would qualify, but Rangel might have a shot there.

Is it really possible that the 10th dumbest Democratic Congressman doesn’t have the faintest idea what’s going on in this country? Need you even ask.

Under the current media rules, Democratic members of congress can say any crazy thing they like and no one cares. Senator Harry Reid can claim that he lowered the deficit by 2.5 trillion, a statement which wouldn’t even come close to being true if he said that he increased it by that amount. Congressman Hank Johnson can claim that a naval base will cause Guam to sink into the ocean. Rangel can claim that millions of kids are being shot down by assault weapons. Where are they all now? They’re voting for Democrats from the grave.

The only thing we can look forward to is the inevitable moment when Charlie Rangel and Hank Johnson will claim that too many assault rifles are causing Guam to sink into the ocean.

Guam

Imagine, 'low information voters" actually voted this slug into congress. /***Sarkmark

Worse: they'll never stop electing him until he's 6 feet under. And maybe even then they might … well, who knows.

When Rangel passes, his name will transfered over to, and be permanently enshrined in the Dems obit voting list.

The number of people shot down by gun men using firearms that meet some definition of "assault weapons" can be counted on the fingers. Most people who are shot these days are shot by people using handguns, not by people using "assault weapons."

"There's no hunter that need automatic military weapons to enjoy the culture of going hunting"

    1. State hunting laws already restrict types and capacities for hunting.
    2. These are not "automatic" (machine guns) but semi automatic rifles.
    3. They are not "military" weapons any more than wearing a green beret makes you Special Forces.
    4. Most important, the 2nd Amendment isn't even about "hunting" , it is about "rights".

Right, the 2nd Amendement is about providing the American citizenry the means of offsetting a standing federal army and an arbitrary and tyrannical federal government. But we must also keep in mind the disingenuousness of this leftist verbage, because the people who want to take away the gun rights are the same people who have been trying to take away hunting rights for these many years.

Listening to this poor excuse for a human being, I kept thinking: Senility is right around the corner for him, and then what's he going to do when he can't remember how to put words together in a semi-coherent sentence. All those "good people" he says ought to be for gun control are people who, first, would have no more to do with him than they would Al Capone, and second, they'd run away from him. Rangel's only "plus" is that he somehow stumbled upon the secret of political life: be a sleaze ball, break the law, get away with it, steal money, con the voters, and live the good life justice-free. Congress lets him get away with it. Well, look at Reid, and Pelosi, and Biden, and Obama….

    • Viet Vet

The leftwing media lets him get away with it.

What huckster, showboater, rabble rouser and general inciter Rangel forgets is that the kiddies are being shot (mostly) by criminals and gang bangers. It is this subgroup which will ALWAYS gain weapons, irrespective of gun control! In fact, the only ones who will benefit from ripping apart the Second Amendment are the criminals, and those in the gov't who want nothing more than total control!

Therefore, Rangel can spit in the wind, but the facts are not on his side – http://adinakutnicki.com/2013/03/16/gun-control-m

I think he actually said "billions of kids."

    • Softly Bob

He said trillions actually – trillions of kids and the U.S. is a few hundred dollars in debt.

Remember Major Owens claiming that millions of africans were thrown overboard the slave ships coming to America. So many millions of africans were thrown overboard he said, that the sharks still swim the route to this day.
