Global Warmists Erupt in Fury over Australian T-Shirt Negotiators

Sidebar: The entire climate change walkout was a clever tactic by China, which has no remote interest in cutting any kind of emissions, but is happy to use the mythical crisis to jab at the West by leading the Third World in demands for billions in payouts to sabotage talks.

If anyone won the climate change summit, it was China. And its key grievance. Australian t-shirts.

Australia’s reputation at the international climate change talks hit a new low on Wednesday after the G77 and China took offence at what they described as the hard-line tactics and “bad behaviour” of the Australian negotiators and walked out of a crucial meeting.

Saleemul Huq, a scientific advisor on the issue of loss and damage to the 132 nations who make up the G77 and China negotiating bloc, said G77 negotiators had walked out of talks at 4am on Wednesday.

“There was continuous blockage of anything they wanted from Australia who were putting brackets around everything,” he said. “The behaviour of Australia’s negotiators was poor, they were being extremely insensitive, wearing t-shirts

“This is a serious issue. We are talking about life and death, people are dying from Typhoon Haiyan, we’ve got people on hunger strike here. You don’t trivialise these issues, by giggling, and marking brackets around anything. It is just not done.”

Don’t you understand… you don’t put brackets around things when there’s a typhoon. Or wear t-shirts. It isn’t done!

Instead you walk out of the summit whining about t-shirts and brackets and your useful idiot Warmist allies warn that the sky is falling and Australia’s reputation is trashed.

But the t-shirt truth is a bit more ordinary.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade defended Australia’s delegates.

“As is often the case at international negotiations, an informal discussion of negotiators was held overnight, starting at 10pm and concluding at 4am. Two of our delegates attended in smart-casual clothing, as did negotiators from other countries.

“Our delegates conducted themselves professionally at all times,” she said.

Meanwhile new Australian PM Tony Abbott is being accused of sabotaging Australia’s “Carbon economy”. That’s like screaming at the guy patching a hole in your boat that he’s sabotaging the H2O economy.
