Grover Norquist Goes After Heritage Foundation Over Illegal Alien Amnesty

Grover Norquist, champion of Islamism infiltration, is working to advance the cause of tax reform by backing an illegal alien amnesty that will impose a whopping economic burden on the country… leading to higher taxes.

The contradiction is obvious. If you’re going to legalize 12 million undocumented Democrats plus all their family members then you are tremendously boosting the welfare state on the receiving end and the voting end.

The only way that the pro-amnesty side can win the amnesty debate is by not having it. And that means going after any sources of facts and taking them down.

The first target were anti-illegals groups like CIS and FAIR which were smeared as eugenicists. But the next set of targets is even bigger.

Norquist says that he’s trying to counteract the effect of “a handful of radio talk-show hosts who talk loudly.”

“The bitter-enders who are still responding to radio talk-show hosts from eight years ago haven’t noticed that the world has shifted from underneath them,” he says.

For bitter-ender, read conservative. The world has shifted is a favorite progressive argument. So it’s not too much of a shock that Norquist is using it.

It’s usually people who want to shift the world who are the ones to claim that it already happened. And whining about talk radio is a favorite liberal hobby.  Norquist is too cowardly to actually name names, but we have a pretty good who his targets are.

Meanwhile Norquist is hitting Robert Rector of Heritage for accurately calculating the real costs of illegal immigration. And Norquist’s counter-arguments mix drivel with phony pandering.

“The idea of treating people as a liability — that more people coming in might go on welfare — that’s an argument against having babies, that’s an argument for car accidents, an argument for abortion,” he tells me. “We ought to be in favor of people not getting killed in car accidents, not getting aborted, and immigrating to the United States — and reforming welfare. You don’t screw up your policies to fit a stupid government program. You reform the stupid government program.”

You can see that Norquist’s big idea was to equate pro-illegal immigration with pro-life to win over Evangelical Christians.

But Norquist’s arguments fail in every way possible.

1. The issue is not opposition to immigration, but the legalization of illegal immigration. Legalizing illegal immigration from south of the border erases immigration quotas and eliminates the border for all intents and purposes, no matter how much amnestiers talk about border security.

2. Legalizing 12 million voters who will support that stupid government program makes reforming it impossible. Norquist knows this and by putting illegal alien amnesty first and tax reform second, he is showing where his real priorities lie.

3. Having children is a human birthright. Moving to another country isn’t. Equating the two is just stupid.

4. Keeping illegal aliens from some of the most violent parts of the world out of the country helps make it possible for Americans to have children who will have a future instead of facing lifelong unemployment or being murdered.

Mark Kirkorian at the National Review’s Corner conclusively smacks down Norquist’s complete lack of credibility.

Grover Norquist has been most forthright in attempting to purge capitalist roaders immigration skeptics from the party (as Betsy Woodruff outlines in a new piece on the homepage). He sent out a memo yesterday attacking Heritage and claiming that “Robert Rector’s work does not speak for the conservative movement; in fact, it does not even speak for the Heritage Foundation.” In comments to the Daily Caller earlier today, Norquist was even more cutting, implying incompetence on the part of Ed Feulner and Jim DeMint: “When [Heritage vice president for research] Burt Pines was there, you couldn’t have gotten it out the door.” He didn’t suggest that Jim DeMint is a secret abortionist, but that’s not far off.

Heritage has not conceded anything to Norquist and its other attackers, and Jim DeMint just today on Laura Ingraham’s show reiterated that amnesty would have a “huge cost” and that the political class has to earn the trust of the public by enforcing the law before discussing amnesty.

Norquist is hurling stones from a glass house. He has insulted Phyllis Schlafly for the entertainment of The New Yorker’s readers; he’s pro-gay marriage; he was a lobbyist for Fannie Mae, playing his small part in crashing the economy; he pitched the Marianas’ indentured labor program — marked by official corruption, sex slavery, and forced abortions — as a shining example of the free market; he was practically married to Jack Abramoff; and now, as a board member of the American “Conservative” Union, he is helping direct an organization that’s soliciting industry money to lobby against spending cuts.

I think changed the guestwork program for agricultural do not legalized agriculural workers because they will leave those jobs once they are legalized. Two, meatpacking which also has become more immirgant could work out an arrangement. In meapacking it was found that Somilians were able to do the work that Mexicans and Central Americans use to do. As for service jobs it depends upon the region in most places in the US maids are still native born but in California or New York they are not. Guestworker programs use not be use for service jobs in Kentucky but maybe in California or New York. The current guestworker system has way too many overstays and doesn't consider that in Orange County Ca few whites are hotel maids while in Louisville Kentucky most are probably still white.

Is this an intentional attempt to sound illiterate, or are you just posting while heavily medicated?

      What?

Thumbs down to ANY amnesty programs.
We don't need to reward gate crashers.

This will, in fact, be the 8th amnesty given since Reagan's "one time only" amnesty in '86; Politicains are such suck up liars; until we vote on & pass term limits, we are only going to get the same old BS, & people buy in to all the time.

We don't need to "overhaul" the immigration laws. We need to enforce the ones that are already on the books; we need to pass a version of E-verify that will be retroactive, allowing it to id illegals already working; it also needs to be mandatory for all US employers, & not just those who are awarded Fed & State govt. contracts; We need to reverse Plyer vs. Doe, the 1982 SCOTUS decision that made provision of free education to the children of illegals mandatory; we need to do away with birthright citizenship (anchor babies); We need to stop providing free legal council & subsidized housing. In short, we need to demagnetize the magnet that brings illegals to the US of A. We DON'T need another "committee of fat, overpaid, overfed politicians & their lap dogs "overhauling" our immigration laws, other than what I've outlined above. I guarantee illegal immigrants in Mexico & other places in the world don't get treated nearly as well as we treat them. This BS in the article is, once again, all about votes. Politicians are worse than plague carrying fleas. The fleas don't get paid to infect Americans.

I say build a wall and deport ‘em all.

Grover hasn't noticed that the world has shifted from beneath him and there are a lot more than 11 or 12 million illegal aliens in this country today. Grover is basically saying right and wrong depends on what "the world" thinks. Georgia used to have representation to be proud of, McDonald, Coverdell, Linder (though he was too low profile), even Democrat Zell Miller won my support and represented me better.

Grover is an anti-American, pro-Sharia Islamist who pretends to be against taxation. But obviously this is not sincere. What kind of stupid dupes include him among conservatives? Answer: many!

Grover Norquist is, and has always been, a stealth Islamist, and he must be viewed through that anti-American prism, regardless of his so called fiscal conservatism.
Make NO mistake, Norquist is more than pleased to support anything which will allow an overflow of anti-Americans, as well as porous borders for entry of fellow Islamists…many who are brought here through MS 13 and fellow gangs. Think: Hezbollah.
The fact that he is associated with Repubs gives him good cover, but this is all due to Karl Rove's push for Muslim voters. This is one of its bitter fruits.

IF, and it is a very big IF, any surviving conservatives in the republican party have any smarts and guts, this could be used to cut grover's jihadi legs out from under him…. Very, VERY big if. Painfully big if….

  • john spielman

honestly I don't know why conservatives bother to listen to Grover QUISLING Norquist.

For the facts, see THE DARK SIDE OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Google it.

There is a shocking Economic Costs chapter. If you want to get really ticked off, read the Sex Crimes chapter.

  • Drakken

The repub party needs a very healthy purge of these traitors in our midst otherwise the Balkanization of this great country will continue untill it boils over.

  • WatcherOntheWall

Did 'ol Grover demand that Republicans defer from even questioning the Dems about voter fraud? Something about a rule was agreed too by both, and was signed approximately 30 years ago? Couple this with the last paragraph above and we must ask ourselves, who does this guy work for, and why should we care?

    • Ar'nun

He works for the Muslim Brotherhood. And we shouldn't care accept for some reason he is labeled a Conservative.

  • Ar'nun

Grover can go F*** himself. We don't need big money Muslim Brotherhood puppets soiling Conservatism.

"Grover Norquist, champion of Islamism infiltration"

Scru Grover Norquist. He's a Muslim convert with an agenda.

  • Questions

Grover always has been a mass immigration booster. He's been saying things like these for well over 20 years. He hawks the line of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the lead mouthpiece of the cheap labor lobby and also one of Norquist's clients.

  • levotb

Norquist is a quisling who is also a shill for CAIR and The Muslim Brotherhood. In fact, Paul Sperry and others have documented how he's a fifth columnist, having helped The Brotherhood infiltrate the GOP and other areas of our government. He even pressured his buddy Karl Rove into gettin terrorist bagman Alamoudi into The White House to meet President Bush.
