Hamas Terrorists Now Training Free Syrian Army Terrorists

Fear not. The Syrian Sunni rebels (many of whom are not from Syria) are moderates who only want freedom. The Free Syrian Army is a moderate secular organization. And you can tell because it’s

1. Dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood

2. Works together with Al Qaeda

3. Is being trained by Hamas

Fighters from the military wing of Hamas are reportedly training and fighting alongside Syrian rebels, marking a total about-face by the Islamist group, which was once one of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s staunchest allies.

Citing anonymous diplomatic sources, The Times of London reported Friday that members of Hamas’s Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades paramilitary wing are taking part in Syria’s two-year civil war alongside opposition fighters.

“The Qassam Brigades have been training units very close to Damascus. These are specialists. They are really good,” the paper quoted a high-level Western diplomat close to the conflict as saying.

Some sources told the paper that Hamas advisers were using their tunnel-building skills honed in Gaza, where weapons and goods are brought into the Strip via underground conduits, to prepare the ground for a rebel assault on central Damascus.

Another source said Hamas fighters were actively battling alongside rebels in Palestinian refugee camps in Damascus and Aleppo.

Clearly we can see that Hamas is moderate because it is backing the desire of the Sunni part of the Syrian people for freedom and Islamist theocracy.

Hamas was getting plenty of cash and weapons from Iran and Syria so it only made the official switch last year. Hamas had to pull out of Syria in 2011 after initially supporting Assad and suppressing anti-Assad protests in Gaza.

Either way though Hamas was going to end up fighting on one side or the other in the Syrian Civil War. And religious alignments with Sunni Islamists proved stronger than Shiite weapons and money.

On the global stage, China has a vested interest in Iran, which, for better or worse, is the target of Western interests. The focus there, of course pertains to their nuclear weapon ambitions. China also has an interest in the stability of Syria, which is the backdoor for Iran. The fall of Syria would also have the consequence of destabilizing not only China, but their allies and client states in that area as well.

Also onstage is Russia, whose leader Vladimir Putin has maintained that Syria is Russia's "red line" in the sand. Syria holds military and economic importance for Russia, by not only acting as a firewall against further regional destabilization, but allowing the use of their deep, warm water seaport.

Of course Hamas is interested in training the "rebels". Moreover, they are being paid! They have a double incentive. The "rebels" are Brotherhood Mafia (as are Hamas, Egypt's Brotherhood progeny) and Al Qaeda/Al-Nusra, in the forefront of the "rebels", are its offshoots – http://adinakutnicki.com/2013/03/31/al-qaeda-bell
