“I Was All for Obamacare Until I Found Out I Was Paying for It”

free-lunch

It’s an old familiar story. You think that you’re getting a free lunch. Only to find out that you’re paying double. Because free is expensive as hell.

Middle-income consumers face an estimated 30% rate increase, on average, in California due to several factors tied to the healthcare law.

Pam Kehaly, president of Anthem Blue Cross in California, said she received a recent letter from a young woman complaining about a 50% rate hike related to the healthcare law.

“She said, ‘I was all for Obamacare until I found out I was paying for it,’” Kehaly said.

But who did the nice young lady think was going to pay for it?

I could understand her reasoning if she were living in a housing project with six of somebody’s else kids like her mother before her and her grandmother before her without having earned any money or paid her way. But if you work for a living and pay taxes, then there’s no excuse for not knowing how the game works.

This is all about wealth redistribution. And that’s all about middle class tax hikes. The hikes go from those who know how to game the system to those who don’t.

With ObamaCare, you’re either getting freebies or you’re paying for it. Like the rest of the government, you’re in two categories. Either someone else pays for you… or you pay.

All that nonsense about the 1 percent is smoke and mirrors. It’s not even the 47 percent. More like the 23 percent that gets a free ride and votes early and often.

Even Democrats are saying this health care legislation is a disaster. It will blast the middle class and working people….all the “insiders” will get waivers while the obedient sheeple taxpayers will get hosed.

These low information voters 65 million of them voted to get themselves screwed, unfortunately they have taken a lot good people that did not vote for this, I myself is one of them who did not vote for this travesty.

I guess we all now know the answer to the question posed by Cain in Genesis 4:9, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Under ObamaCare, the answer is, “Yes. Even if it impoverishes you and reduces you to penury.” Altruism is the foundation of all welfare states. It’s about time people began realizing it.

Time for Ms Kehaly to go back to trained dependency on the government instead of helping to pay the freight like the rest of us. After all… that was the goal of the ACA anyway… more trained dependency to keep the poor voting Democrat. Sad she’s just learning you’re punished for being successful… unless you’re in the donor class and donate to the right politicians.

This is what people get for sleeping through history and civics classes. By the time they wake up an realize they were important, its too late.

Maybe Obamacare will help the low information voters understand how socialism really works.

All of these fools wanted something for nothing! What they got was nothing for something!

    • BS77

perfect. Nothing for something. Call it the Orwell Health Care Plan.

2500 pages of mumbo jumbo wrapped up in a tax increase. Lovely.

  • migdalia.leonie

65 million idiots voted for this, I hope they like their Forward, and in the mean time the few working people are getting screwed by paying even more taxes, and the 20 million illegals will get this healthcare for free on the backs of the taxpayers
