Attorney General Eric Holder does not believe that parents educating their own children counts as a civil right. He does however believe that illegal immigration is a civil right. The only question is when murder and rape will also be declared civil rights. After all they are outcomes of the hallowed civil right of illegal immigration, which means that they must be civil rights too.
Attorney General Eric Holder, in a speech Wednesday before the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, said this:
Creating a pathway to earned citizenship for the 11 million unauthorized immigrants in this country is essential. The way we treat our friends and neighbors who are undocumented–by creating a mechanism for them to earn citizenship and move out of the shadows — transcends the issue of immigration status. This is a matter of civil and human rights.
So, the chief law-enforcement officer of the United States of America asserts that receiving amnesty for breaking the nation’s laws is a civil right.
Fortunately our understanding of rights is no longer bound by any antiquated notions propounded by a bunch of dead white male slaveholders.
We now know that making a movie is not a right, if it offends Muslims, but that illegally living in the United States is. We know that religious freedom has to take a backseat to the urges of a Sandra Fluke or an Andrew Sullivan, but that giving citizenship to people who broke the law and cut in line ahead of illegal immigrants.
And finally we know that we are no longer a nation of laws, but a nation of whims, where politically correct victimization trumps every sense of right and wrong and the outrage machine grinds night and day finding more victims for the establishment to turn into heroes and more villains who still believe that rights are forms of immunity from government coercion, rather than forms of government coercion, to ritually destroy.
