Jeffrey Goldberg Claims Calling Him a Sewer Pipe is Anti-Semitic

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

Even when the people calling him a sewer pipe are Jews, they’re just like the Nazis who hate Home Depot, apparently. Or something.

In response to an article by Z Street’s Lori Lowenthal Marcus citing Dan Senor’s claim that Jeffrey Goldberg passing on an attack from Obama against Netanyahu was deliberate election interference (which it was), Jeffrey Goldberg launched a spirited defense of sewer pipes against the far right.

We here at the Goldblog glass-enclosed nerve center have been called many things by extreme leftists and rightists, but this one, from a website calld “Israeli Frontline,” which I’m guessing is part of the Jewish right wing love-Israel-to-death crowd, stands out for its unknowing echo of a familiar Nazi trope:

The “Love Israel to Death” crowd is Goldberg’s crowd. It’s the crowd that calls for forcing Israel to make concessions to terrorists in exchange for more terrorism.

There’s not a lot of love there, but there has been a lot of death over the last twenty years. Almost all of that blood is on the hands of the appeaser left.

But just because Goldberg served a purpose for Obama does not mean that he gets to pretend that any insult directed at him is racist. that’s for the exclusive use of Barack “That’s Racist” Obama.

“Sewer pipe” is not a particularly common insult. It was most often used within the Canadian left against Canadian Commies or “sewer pipe revolutionists”.

I would like to offer a defense, not of myself, but of sewer pipes. Civilization could not exist as we know it without sewer pipes. They make our cities and towns livable, aesthetically pleasant and healthful places.

For whatever reason, the far-right, Jewish and Nazi alike, despise sewer pipes.

Oh I think most people like sewer pipes. The problem is broken sewer pipes. A working sewer pipe carries waste away. A broken sewer pipe carries it to.

A civilization depends on working sewer pipes. But when the media goes into “sewer pipe revolutionist” mode and begins   carrying its own waste into civilization, instead of away from it, then civilization is endangered and needs to replace the broken sewer pipelines with sewer pipes that carry away waste, instead of manufacturing it and spreading it.

"far-right, Jewish and Nazi alike" The political terms "right" and "left" come from the French Revolution. The National Assembly sat in a semi-circle; those on the left were the Jacobins and those on the right were the monarchists and clericals.
Marx and his followers regarded themselves as following the Jacobins, hence "left." The Nazis were "left" since they were socialists – the name of the party was "National Socialism" – following Mussolini, socialist leader who founded the Fascist Party around 1917 so support Italy during World War I, having rejected the socialist view that wars are between capitalist countries. This was "Fascism," "National Socialism," as opposed to "Communism" – "International Socialism." So the Nazis and the Fascists were "left."
Why Goldberg thinks that supporters of Israel are "right" I do not know. He uses the term as an epithet to attack Israel.

Well, we can not expect any truth from a JIN (Jew In Name) only person or group. Maybe Goldberg wishes a thorough cleanup of the sewer pipe in order to function as intended?

Or maybe it's because they crawled in from the sewer like Andy Dufresne on The Shawshank Redemption…

"For whatever reason, the far-right, Jewish and Nazi alike,"

Wait. I thought the Nazis were socialist, as in their name: National Socialist German Workers Party.

Even wikipedia (which is 80% right, 50% of the time) reads:
"The radical Nazi Joseph Goebbels, hated capitalism, viewing it as having Jews at its core, and he stressed the need for the party to emphasize both a proletarian and national character. Those views were shared by Otto Strasser, who later left the Nazi Party in the belief that Hitler had betrayed the party's socialist goals by allegedly endorsing capitalism.[31] Large segments of the Nazi Party staunchly supported its official socialist, revolutionary, and anti-capitalist positions and expected both a social and economic revolution upon the party gaining power in 1933.[33] Many of the million members of the Sturmabteilung (SA) were committed to the party's official socialist program.[33] The leader of the SA, Ernst Röhm, pushed for a "second revolution" (the "first revolution" being the Nazis' seizure of power) that would entrench the party's official socialist program.

I'm really wondering why my posts take so long to come up, and why some of them done come up at all.

I'll try to repeat my last post from an hour and a half ago.

The Nazi party is a contraction of sorts of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

Even Wikipedia reads: "The radical Nazi Joseph Goebbels, hated capitalism, viewing it as having Jews at its core, and he stressed the need for the party to emphasize both a proletarian and national character. Those views were shared by Otto Strasser, who later left the Nazi Party in the belief that Hitler had betrayed the party's socialist goals by allegedly endorsing capitalism.[31] Large segments of the Nazi Party staunchly supported its official socialist, revolutionary, and anti-capitalist positions and expected both a social and economic revolution upon the party gaining power in 1933.[33] Many of the million members of the Sturmabteilung (SA) were committed to the party's official socialist program.[33] The leader of the SA, Ernst Röhm, pushed for a "second revolution" (the "first revolution" being the Nazis' seizure of power) that would entrench the party's official socialist program."

When calling Goldberg a "sewer pipe" it should come with apologies……………..to well working sewer pipes.

Calling someone a "sewer pipe" is not anti-Semitic, but it is immature. We don't let our kids engage in name-calling. Why would we respect an adult who does the same?

    • Mary Sue

He should be lucky nobody called him a white washed tombstone ;)

Oh yeah…Jeffie-boy has his leftist shorts in a knot. Poor dear, someone called him names. Oh me, oh my.

Perhaps he should man up and tangle with the MASTER of strategic policy in Israel, instead of deigning to tell Zionists (via his own hit piece as Obama's mouthpiece) what "dear leader" thinks is best for us – http://adinakutnicki.com/2013/01/27/presenting-pa

Or, is he afraid to tangle with the truth? BTW, Dr. Martin Sherman will debate him anywhere/anytime. Jeffie, do you dare??

I think just like sewer pipes, they are meant to work and not be seen, noticed or smell the vile filth it carries. In other words, the Sewer pipe should be 4' underground and never come up in the view of the people.

i think the sewer pipe metaphor is brilliant, not immature.

reality is complex, and we need simple effective idea’s to visualize it.

some people in the world choose to focus their criticism in the wrong place and in the wrong amount, while ignoring overwhelming facts.

some do it because they are misguided/shortsighted/irresponsible.

others do it because they don’t share the same values, and are comfortable using western world values against them, in a deliberate hypocrite malicious attack.

    sometimes they work together.

a crude example would be a rape victim, being accused by the perpetrator lawyer of wearing low cut blouse, as an attempt to shift blame to the victim.

a specialist (for the defense) on human behavior, testifying that the low cut blouse did in fact caused and contributed to the crime.

and the rapist who testify the victim was teasing him and asking for it.

when journalists and politicians do the same, while ignoring every good sense free humanity has, they truly are broken sewer pipes.
