Kerry Demands Israel Release Terrorists and Transfer Territory as Preconditions for Negotiations

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

Israel has a peace partner. And the only way that the peace partner will even agree to negotiate with Israel is if a bunch of its terrorists are set free and if it receives control over a whole lot of territory just to sit down at the table and possibly begin negotiating an agreement… which it will break just like all the other ones.

And this is Phase 2, the stick, for which Obama’s visit full of empty platitudes was the carrot.

Channel 10 News reported that Kerry is planning on offering Israel and the PA an outline which would see Israel releasing terrorists from its prisons and transferring areas from Area B, which is under joint PA-Israeli control under the Oslo Accords, to Area A which is under full PA control.

Kerry’s outline would have the PA undertaking a return to the negotiating table and promising not to file lawsuits against Israel with the International Criminal Court.

Notice that the PA agreeing to end terrorism or calls for Israel’s destruction is not on the list. Israel will release terrorists and turn over territory and in exchange Abbas will agree to meet for negotiations.

Can’t we just get Carter back in the White House? It would be an improvement over what is now the most Anti-Israel Administration ever, regardless of that farce of a visit.

The New York Times, an organ of Obama Inc. says it best, “Obama Shows Talent for Arm-Twisting, and Raises Hopes on Peace Effort.”

Kerry is thinking about advancing his political career and not about Israel safety or future.

  • objectivefactsmatter

    That didn't take long.

  • DilloTank

With friends like U.S., who needs enemies?

  • HCQ

But American Jewry love these guys, so enjoy it. Sick of ALL the whining. The U.S. should stay out of this crap altogether but none of you are EVER satisfied.

Agree, totally! I think we should get former president Carter back to the White House ***laughs*** :)

"Agree, totally! I think we should get former president Carter back to the White House ***laughs*** :)"

If that's where the firing squad is operating, send Carter along too. Any chance of getting the Clintons there as well?

Memo to Israel: Give "Hanoi John Kerry" the biggest bird you've got ASAP, and don't look back!

    • defcon 4

Tell Kerry to man the US "embassy" in Benghazi and then get back to them.

      • JacksonPearson

If he did, he'd first demand a small army for protection.

Of course Kerry DEMANDS Israel commit suicide, as does his boss and surrogates. This is NOTHING new. The real question is: will Bibi capitulate? The jury is out on that one – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/07/15/israels-ship-

If past is prologue, Kerry and gang may just get their way, as terrorists are released ALL the time, violating international law – Nullum Crimen Sine Poena, No Crime Without Punishment,as well as Israel's Basic Laws – http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Articl

Kerry is still stuck on stupid, like he has been for the past 40 years or more.

Every time Israel has made a concession in good faith all that has resulted has been an increase in terrorist attacks. The only time the terrorist attacks decrease is when Israel gets hard nosed and goes into the barbarian lands after the terrorists.

  • objectivefactsmatter

This is actually the worst move yet on our part if you don't count the Oslo Accords. Then again this compounds the mistakes and throws away any chance that we've learned from the mistakes of OA. So in that sense it's worse in terms of stupidity.

    .
John Heinz Kerry is to Israel, – what Heinz 57 Sauce is to Filet Mignon.

    .
John Heinz Kerry lives in Teresa Heinz Kerry's six-floor, $7 million townhome in Boston's Beacon Hill.

    ….AND a $9 million ocean-front home on Nantucket,
……AND a $5 million ski retreat in Idaho,
……..AND a $4 million estate in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania, near the Heinz family's home base of Pittsburgh, and a $5 million home in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C.

    ………….but who's counting?

OH! and did you know that John Kerry served in Viet Nam?

    • silver gonzales

Move the murders for mohammed into those homes

    • Ar'nun

Actually they only kept that tiny house in Boston so he could be a Mass Senator. Their real home is the $22 million castle in Pa.

The fully operational Carrier, now a sitting duck in harbor, tells me Obama has no plans to help or defend Israel at all. He couldn't/wouldn't even defend his own Ambassador in Libya.

Given troop reductions in various hostile locations there may well end up being numerous Wake Islands for us.

Like Obama said-Israel has the right to defend itself. Literally. So long as the make themselves indefensible.

  • AnOrdinaryMan

Israel should respond by annexing the West bank; which won't happen under Netanyahu.

  • Ar'nun

After watching Bibi apologize for stopping the Turks from smuggling weapons to Hamas, I'm sure he will also cower on this too. Naftali Bennett would have clearly been a wiser choice for the endangered Israeli people.

  • defcon 4

ANd to think I voted for this steaming POS for POTUS. It seemed to me he served honorably in Vietnam, which is more than Dubya could ever say.

The last time Israel traded land for peace it accomplished nothing. The. Jews should tell Kerry that surrendering land is totally out of the question. In fact when it is done the Israelis should literally turn their backs on Kerry. He should be told that is giving up land will cost Jewish lives. Kerry betrayed his country during the Viet Nam conflict. Now he has turned on the only friend the USA has in the Mideast.

Obama when to Israel to talk to Hamas. He knows if he had just gone to Hamas people would have been enraged. So he did a repeat proformance of what he did when he went to Eygpt when we wanted all muslim brotherhood students for him to talk to even though the leader of the country did not want it that way Obama did it anyway.. After he saw them in Israel. They wanted Obama to talk to the Kennesa (their congress) instead he wasnted to tak to hamas. He went over there to stir up trouble like he did with Eygpt. Obama is not to be trusted . He is selling out his own country to the muslim brotherhood. Why would he do it to Israel Obama's enemy? Israel needs to turn its back on Obama while they still can.

The US has just entered dangerous territory when they demand Israel relinquish more of their land. God gave that land to Israel, and no man, no country, no one will tell them what land is their's and what land isn't. America will enter another disaster of epic proportions if they do that. When Bush got them to release Gaza to the PA, we got Katrina! Will we ever learn to leave Israel and its borders to them to negotiate.
