Man Campaigning to Ban Assault Rifles Caught Buying Assault Rifle

AR15? What AR15?

Mark Kelly may not yet be a household name, but he’s the better or worse half of Gabby Giffords, and together with her is the public face of Americans for Responsible Solutions, a PAC funded by a Texas lawyer to ban assault rifles.

On FOX, Kelly said, “In 1934, we banned automatic weapons. You know, I argue the semi-automatic assault weapon with a high capacity magazine is just too dangerous to be on the street where criminals and terrorists and the mentally ill can easily get them.”

Unfortunately Kelly was also caught buying one of weapons too dangerous to be in the hands of mere civilians.

Kelly reportedly bought the AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol at Diamondback Police Supply in Tucson, Arizona.

It’s not surprising that Kelly was turned in buying the dreaded weapon of doom. As gun ownership becomes like homosexuality in the 90s, coming out as an opponent also means that you may be outed if you combine that with a penchant for guns.

Naturally Kelly has tried to spin his purchase of the AR-15 as some sort of move to get them off the street, “As I was leaving, I noticed a used AR-15. Bought that too. Even to buy an assault weapon, the background check only takes a matter of minutes. I don’t have possession yet but I’ll be turning it over to the Tucson PD when I do.”

So apparently Kelly has a plan to buy up all the assault rifles in America and turn them over to the Tuscon PD. I think that’s a little like Ron Paul’s plan to end slavery.

It’s a little hard to believe that Kelly is running a one-man gun buyback program. It’s more likely that he got caught not practicing what he preached.

There’s nothing wrong with gun ownership, but Kelly now has a career being an anti-gun zealot. And to be an anti-gun zealot, you have to live your life gun-free.

There has been talk of Mark Kelly running for Giffords seat and that talk comes from liberal media outlets. To do that, he would have to squeeze out Ron Barber, the Democrat currently in there, but considering that Giffords’ district trended somewhat right, and that Barber, even with the cloak of being the aide of the saintly martyr Gabby Giffords who was also wounded in the shooting spree only won a narrow victory, it’s possible.

But Democrats may not be as enamored of him now after he got caught in flagrante delicto with an AR-15.

    Off Topic…
Since at least 2003, a list similar to the one below has been circulating the Internet incessantly, popping up every so often on people's Facebook feeds infused with speculation about the reasons behind the coincidences surrounding former presidents Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy Jr.:

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both were shot in the head.

Lincoln's secretary, Kennedy, warned him not to go to the theater.
Kennedy's secretary, Lincoln, warned him not to go to Dallas.

    Both were assassinated by Southerners.
    Both were succeeded by Southerners.
    Both successors were named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was borin in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are comprised of fifteen letters.

Booth ran from the theater and was caught in a warehouse.
Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were both assassinated before their trials.

      Wrong facts

      • JacksonPearson

Why don't you post the right facts?

    • Karen

Since 2003? You must be a teenager or a twenty something. This list was around in the 1960s! It would be stretching it to say Booth and Oswald themselves were "assassinated" as the victim of an assassination is someone targeted for their political or religious belief. Booth refused to surrender, for one thing, when he was surrounded. Although Ruby unlawfully killed Oswald, it wasn't because Oswald espoused communism per se, but because he had killed Kennedy. It wasn't so much these people were "known by their three names" so much as news organizations trying to distinguish a person as much as possible. I.E. Pitty the poor sods whose name was also "Lee Oswald" — pulling out your ID as "Lee Wilberforce Oswald" helps distinguish them from Lee HARVEY Oswald.

      • JacksonPearson

"Since 2003? You must be a teenager or a twenty something"
You're not the brightest Crayon in the pack…Did you fail comprehension 101, or what?

You didn't even think to check that Booth was NOT born in 1839…

      • JacksonPearson

Yep..It's an error. Booth was actually born in 1838.

big deal, i saw this as a kid 45 years ago, who cares?

I never said it was new, or asked anyone if they cared.

It does no good to be offended when you find out a cool theory that you believed in isn't true. I know how it feels trust me haha but its just plain not true, and i'm a conspiracy theorist! That being said, here's a pretty comprehensive list – http://www.snopes.com/history/american/lincoln-ke

    • John

You left out one VERY important detail. One week prior to his assassination, Abraham Lincoln was in Monroe, Maryland and ONE week prior to HI assassination, Kennedy was in Marilyn Monroe… Spooky huh?

      • Stevie

That's pretty good! However, Marilyn Monroe died over a year before JFK was shot, so it couldn't have happened quite the way you say. But prior to her death in August 1962, Kennedy was in Monroe pretty frequently indeed. : D

Close enough. You get a cigar after all. : P

    • SmilinStevie

You must have snoozed through a lot of years JacksonPearson. I knew of this in 1971 when I was in second grade and first became aware of John F. Kennedy. It’s interesting, but means absolutely nothing.

And, incidentally, contrary to what you said, John F. Kennedy Jr. was NEVER president. He was a playboy magazine publisher and below average aircraft pilot who killed himself, his darling wife and his sister-in-law when he crashed his plane into the Atlantic in July 1999.

His father, John F. Kennedy Senior, was President of the United States from 1961-63. That is who your post is meant to refer to. Please try to keep your facts straight. Thanks.

If the Second Amendment doesn't apply to modern firearms like the AR-15, then the First Amendment doesn't apply to modern media like TV, or the Internet. Just saying.

    • Daniel Greenfield

No more high capacity Time and Newsweek magazines

      • JacksonPearson

        Good one… :o)

      • Larry Rhoades

The Gun act of 1934 was a knee jerk reaction to Gangsters being more heavily armed than the Feds so to hinder them they criminalized those weapons and basically stripped the good American gun owner the ability to go to the local hardware store and buy a machine gun or a silencer and to me that is a direct violation on the 2nd Amendment. It shall not be infringed means what it says no matter what some douche bag government official believes it to mean.We need to grow so balls in Washington and repeal all these illegal laws that permeate the gun owner of America today.,If gays can get married and adopt and raise children I certain should be able to own as many machine guns as I wish.

    • Cassie

      …and why not?

      • Daniel Greenfield

They didn't have cable TV when Freedom of the Press was written.

        • JacksonPearson

      …and why not?

    • Karen

Agree. "OBviously" news outfits should be forced to carry a millions of dollars worth of insurance in case they libel someone.

      • JacksonPearson

What it really means, is that the courts and anti-Constitutionalists have slowly chipped away at every segment of the Bill of Rights. The media is siding with anti-gun advocates. So if the 2nd Amendment can be screwed with without a Constitutional Amendment, then so can the First etc.

The Second Amendment, protects the First Amendment.

    • helen sabin

Jackson – And your point is?????

      • JacksonPearson

“As I was leaving, I noticed a used AR-15. Bought that too. Even to buy an assault weapon, the background check only takes a matter of minutes. I don’t have possession yet but I’ll be turning it over to the Tucson PD when I do.”- This is just priceless!!

I don't own or have a special love for weapons, nevertheless i think that every free man should have the right to own one.Mr Kelly is an anti-gun zelot who wants the world to get rid of weapons buying one at a time. One of us is a moron with a huge closet at home…

    • Daniel Greenfield

I welcome all anti-gun advocates buying as many guns as they can to get them off the streets

the police can use the free guns and the manufacturers can use the business

    • Charles Nelson

and on the way to the car I saw a hooker, baught that to, not that I intended to use her, just do it so no one else could…

    • Neon

It’s really too bad that a guy like Mark Kelly, an astronaut, a guy who served his country could become such a hypocrite. I’ve suspected for a long time his foray into anti-guns is more linked to his 501-C3 and the ability to have an income stream necessary to sustaining his wife’s long term health needs than what he knows in the back of his mind is the truth. He’s a Democrat and Democrats love to create and fund 501-C3′s. He just follows their trends.

    • flyroy

The fact he stated he was buying this to give to someone else makes this a "strawman" purchase, and is a felony crime, where as he stated on the ATF 4473 form it was for personal use!

  • JacksonPearson

    Deja Vu…
"This year will go down in history.
For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration.
Our streets will be safer, and our police more efficient,
and the world will follow our lead into the future."

    –Adolph Hitler, 1935

    • History

Germany had full gun registration before Hitler. Hitler actually loosened gun restrictions by allowing Nazi Party members to buy all the guns they liked.

      • BGBDMOM

If that were the case, Hitler would not have had to give a speech about full gun restriction you schmuck.

      • JacksonPearson

"Hitler actually loosened gun restrictions by allowing Nazi Party members to buy all the guns they liked."

"allowing Nazi Party members to buy all the guns they liked." You answered the question..

Is that like Obama allowing the RATS to buy firearms, and the Pubs not?

Or, the Homeland Security, and Social Security Administration just purchasing thousands of assault rifles and billions of rounds of ammo, and the populous stripped of our 2nd Amendment rights. Dance around the flame if you like, but it looks like deja vu to me?

        • R. Wing

Just for accuracy's sake, the quote is not by Hitler. He never said that and he did loosen gun control, although he prohibited Jews from owning them. So I think Hitler can be used as an argument for the 2nd amendment. You just shouldn't use a statement that you attribute to him if he didn't actually make it. That just gives the anti-gun people ammunition. They say and will continue to say the pro gun people are lying and trying to scare people. Let's show the world that we are honest people trying to protect a right, and the anti-gun people are ignoring facts and figures or manipulating them for their purposes. Also, let us show them as being hypocrites, not us. BTW, if the background check only took a few minutes, why didn't he leave with the gun? Just wondering.

    • Helen Sabin

Jackson – you really NEED to get some education behind you. Go get the book by John Lott, More Guns, Less Crime 3rd edition who has proven that more guns do indeed lead to less violent crime. Also take note of the FBI stats that show VIOLENT crime in general has gone down this last ten years mainly due to MORE GUNS being on the streets. And please don't ignore that guns are used more than two millions times a year in SELF DEFENSE!

If YOU want to be a victim – go ahead! If you want to let armed thugs into your home or allowed to assault YOU while you wait for the police to come – go ahead. But please jackson, don't show your ignorance anymore anywhere about guns as you look simply foolish when you open your mouth and speak without knowing of what you speak. Please!!

      • Chuck

That's not what was meant by his quote. Pretty sure he was pointing out how bad that move was for Germany, they got Hitler.

        • JacksonPearson

Absolutely Most despots like Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Hitler start off by disarming the people, before they start their dirty work…"Deja Vu Barack Obama and gun registration..

      • JacksonPearson

Do you know, or have a CLUE what "Deja VU" means? I made no such comments or references to what you just wrote….none whatsoever. I'm an original, Constitutionalist, Read the posted article and then the quote AGAIN.

The quote came from a ruthless, well known insane dictator, that disarmed the German populous, and then had his Nazi thugs start the most barbaric genocides in modern history, because the people were disarmed and couldn't fight or resist.

        • R. Wing

Just for accuracy's sake, the quote is not by Hitler. He never said that and he did loosen gun control, although he prohibited Jews from owning them. • karen

He wanted to get into politics…so buster now you have to take the punches. Stupid thing to do…he knows AZ law…you buy a gun, they do an automatic background check with the FBI…and if you're clean, you take it home with you. He knows the law and he knows this Administration……

    • Helen Sabin

He is like other stupid liberals (see Jackson's remarks on this blog) who want to be a member of the ELITIST CLASS. Unfortunately he doesn't realize that astronauts (one who lives across the street from me) are one of the most respected classes of people in America today. He has lost my respect and what I see from his testimony here in CO – he contradicts himself.

His wife's shooter HAD a background check done on him just like Kelley did when he purchased the guns. But when in Colorado he testified that background checks would stop violent criminals from getting guns. see the contradiction? What will CO's background checks do that AZ's wouldn't?

He is a paid whore of someone who wants him to run for public office – Bloomberg perhaps? Obama? Makes one wonder but the general astronaut group that we know are shuddering in dislike and distaste for this man who also wants to trample on his oath of office and the Constitution!

      • helen

I, too, do not like Bloomberg so much but the other day I received a news article about how he is starting an ad campaign on the buses and subways in NYC with posters of little kids telling their parents that if they have them young they probably will not finish high school anymore than will the young girl who has them, and that the guy won't marry you and we will be poor and hungry, etc. A black news ezine is outraged. I think that is the best thing to do to stop violence, if young people with no income, education, etc. do not have kids then the numbers of young people in Chicago, L.A., etc. will go down in 10-15 years. Sometimes a broken clock is correct.

No wonder Obama and the democrats are working so hard to take it away!

I wish I would have known this before he came to Denver to testify before the committee here. I might have been inclined to be that redneck. At least a Sheriff friend I know could have brought that before the committee.

  • Charles Heller

Kelly proves that background checks are not very effective, if he couldn't clear it and take the gun with him on the spot. You'd think that a Navy Captain, test pilot, and shuttle pilot, might have a decent enough background to clear it without a delay. Guess that system isn't very good, and might do well to be abandoned in favor of freedom.

    • http://twitter.com/offroadjonny @offroadjonny

I thought all military personel were banned from buying guns..period.No exceptions. Maybe this is why his background check is delayed!

      • Frank Lovell Jr.

Yo, OffroadJohnny: Whatever made you think that all military personel were banned from buying guns…period, no exceptions ??????

      • Gee

If that is what you thought – then you didn't.

There is nothing to prevent members of the military from buying firearms. In fact in stateside units where the member lives on post the unit armorer keeps those weapons in the unit armory. It is against the UCMJ for members of the military to keep civilian weapons in their quarters and automobiles – not to own them

        • Kristen

Actually, some installations allow weapons to be kept in family housing. If Feinstein had her way, no military (or any other highly trained weapons user) would be allowed to own a firearm under the ridiculous guise of PTSD making them too crazy to do so.

  • Aria

He is a hypocrite. The criminal who uses a gun to commit a crime doesn't care if this gun is legalized or not. Who will be affected will be the citizen who obeys and respects the laws . The criminal will get the weapons on the black market. Such a policy is "DUMB".

  • Mary Sue

Pardon my insensitivity, was Giffords always an anti-gun nut, or did getting shot give her brain damage that caused it?

    • figment newton

In a June 26, 2008 message on her congressional Web site, Giffords wrote:

As a gun owner, I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. In February, I was proud to sign the Amicus Brief in District of Columbia v. Heller asking the Supreme Court to uphold the lower court ruling that overturned the long standing DC gun ban.

This is a common sense decision that reaffirms the Constitutional right — and Arizona tradition — of owning firearms. I commend the Court for ruling in favor of restoring our right to bear arms."

Even a bit more than just an owner:

"Giffords once supported gun rights.[103] In 2008 she opposed Washington D.C. prohibitions on possession of handguns in the home and having usable firearms there, signing an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court to support its overturn.[103][104]"

      • JacksonPearson

The 2nd Amendment has 27 words. Yet, federal courts and misguided judges with agendas have written thousands of pages of opinions on the 2nd Amendment. Any court worth it's salt, should be able to give a single page and four word opinion:
"shall not be infringed." case dismissed PERIOD

  • Bob

Yeah so he is planning to turn in the AR-15. It says nothing about turning in the high capacity semi auto 1911 pistol. Where did it end up? Also his wife was shot with a pistol not an Ar-15, so, I would think he would not want a pistol either

    • Wayne F

A 1911 is "high capacity?" Having an 8 round magazine, I guess it could be considered high capacity in NY, but that's about it.

      • thatguy179

its not high capacity if it comes as standard equipment,

    • TWizz

Hey Bob, the libtards are trying to ban all magazines that are able to hold TEN rounds or more, A 1911 .45 has a magazine that holds SEVEN rounds, as do all other 1911 pistols. I am pro gun all the way, but your post is an example how people with no clue about firearms are causing the majority of the problems. Paranoia and ignorance are like fire and gasoline.

    • Rick

The standard 1911 has a 7 round magazine. This does not make it a high capacity. People should have their facts correct before making any comment both pro and con.

  • Brow2505

He is just an Obama puppet.

  • Kirk Davis

I’m NOT in favor of any gun bans, and I also like the truth. Does Daniel Greenfield, author of “Man Campaigning to Ban Assault Rifles Caught Buying Assault Rifle” about Mark Kelly have any facts that confirm/verify/prove his statement and article? Please guide me to a site that will verify. Or is this story and author full of BS?

While I feel for Gabby, the reality is that she her Col Astronaut husband have ZERO qualfications to speak on guns.

Being shot does not make you a weapons expert

Being an astronaut does not make you a weapons expert

Captain Kelly was in the US Navy – not the Air Farce

  • figment

I’m confused, he supposedly purchased these guns to show how easy it is to walk into a gun store and buy a weapon.

He passed the background check, why would he be denied ? Or does he have a felony conviction or something else that would exclude him from being able to purchase a firearm legally?

    what is his point?

    • Daniel Greenfield

I imagine he bought them for his own use and then got caught.

      • figment newton

why that would make him a hypocrite wouldn't it?

        • Gee

          Do you think so?

Awesome! Mark Kelly is buying AR-15 rifles to get them “off the streets” and turn them over to police departments?! Great, put my department down for about a half a dozen! When can we expect delivery?

    • Chip

      No kidding!
He needs to purchase some of the Ulra Dangerous SCAR or FN 2000 rifles and turn them over immediately! I wonder if he could sponsor a grant so that other well meaning citizens can follow suit. Go purchase all of the weapons you can and donate them to your local Sheriff and/or city police!

    • Curtis Newkirk

Imagine if He'd tried to use that excuse when caught buying weed! "I figured I could buy it then turn It over to the police…honestly!"

  • John

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero 106 BC to 43 BC http://thinkexist.com/quotation/a-nation-can-surv

  • Michael R

He didn't buy an assualt rifle, those have been illegal for over 30 years.

    • BBDMOM

ahem….poppets…there is no such thing as an "assault rifle". That is a political term, NOT a reality. I believe Michael R. You meant an AUTOmatic rifle, which has been made MORE difficult, not illegal, to purchase since 1934.

      • Michael R

You are thinking of an assualt weapon, an assualt rifle is just as a real as a battle rifle, or a submachine gun. It applies to a very specific catagory of firearms, selective fire “intermediate” round size with a detachable magazine.

The Firearm Owner’s Protection Act of 1986 made it illegal to own any machine gun manufactured after the cut off date.

The NFA just made it expensive to own.

      • Michael R

Assualt rifle is a translation of Sturmgewehr "Storm rifle" which was used to describe the Maschinenpistole 43 (Sturmgewehr 44), which is considered by many to be the first modern assualt rifle.

Assualt weapon was a term invented in the 90's to describe what could be considered cosmetic features of a firearm.

I'm well aware of what I'm talking about here… I do sell these.

        • Confused

So what does the AR in the designation stand for?

          • Allred

The AR stands for Armalite…quit being confused and learn something..

          • Diogenes

AR …. Armalite Rifle… Armalite being the company Eugene Stoner designed the rifle for in the late 1950s.

  • http://twitter.com/WIPrep @WIPrep

So basically Mark Kelly denied another person the right to defend themselves by buying that used AR, which he intends to turn over to the police at some later date. And what about that 1911? Is that getting turned in too? Hypocrite.

  • Darryl Schmitz

I see. You rattle off the usual litany of criticism and ridicule of “liberals”, then add a slap at the father of Senator Rand Paul for good measure. That tells me more about you than about them. I do not condone Kelly’s approach to addressing violence with the use of guns, but to frame this article to say that he was “caught” red-handed trying to do something he wants to deny the rest of us is the type of Newsmax, Fox News, Wall Street Journal neoconservative grandstanding that is killing the Republican Party.

    • Daniel Greenfield

He was in fact caught exercising a right that he wants to deny to others.

But if you want to side with the gun-controller because you think that opposing gun control is neo-conservative, be my guest.

    • Bryan

How exactly would you say it Darryl? Are you serious? The guy is dong everything possible to take away our gun rights and then goes out and buys them for himself!! He sounds like a great future politician doesn't he? He already thinks he lives by a different set of rules, that somehow he is better than the rest of us and can make better decisions than we can. Its like the drunk parents that always drink in front of the kids and then get angry when they catch them drinking. Its called teach what you preach!

So … will the police department arrest him for making his straw purchase?

Oh, wait … when you are a democrat, you don’t have to obey the law

    • Confused

Excellent point. There is a box that you check saying you are not buying the firearm for another party. He just admitted that he committed a federal crime and should be prosecuted.

This pos spent about 10 minutes on the deckplates and then disappeared into NASA as a golden boy for the program, his career no doubt helped along by his marriage to a socialist……he had the audacity to blame patriotic Americans for the lunacy of some lefty who put a couple rounds into his wife and thinks his military “service” and his spouse’s brain injury qualifies him for political office…well, squiddly diddly…it doesn’t…..won’t be a whole lot of veterans voting for your cheesy self either.

Semi-automatic rifles of all types account for .06% of all gun fatalities in the United States annually(hammers actually account for more deaths than that). All rifles combined including hunting rifles, shotguns and single shot rifles account for 3.5% gun deaths total in the U.S. annually. Knives account for almost six times that many deaths. So for people to say the semi-automatic or ‘assault’(obviously inaccuratly labeled) rifle are more dangerous than other weapons is rediculous and just proves that the Government is after all guns one step at a time,…and why are they after our guns? Well let me offer this quote from leading gun control advocate Sarah Brady.

“Our main agenda is to have ALL guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn’t matter if you have to distort facts or even lie. Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed.”

    – HCI President Sarah Brady to Senator Howard Metzenbaum, The National Educator, January 1994, p.3

Probably just doing research for a book — you know, like the straight arrow you spot coming out of a porn shop!

    dear mr gabby,
the reason why you don’t have ‘possession yet’ is because you’re going thru a more extensive background check. just the fact you’re a liberal should mean you can’t be trusted with a firearm since most mass murders are liberal.
    you’re welcome.

You know…. if you are going to rail aainst "assault" rifles, you don't look quite as dumb if you at least take the trouble to spell it correctly.

      Aaaargh!. Typo. against.

Machine guns weren’t banned in 1934. Just taxed the crap out of them. They still aren’t banned. Only the import or sales of new ones to citizens. You can buy a transferable machine gun built before 1986. Thing is there’s only like 175,000 of them, and they cost as much as a car. Plus, there’s a three month process it takes to get one.

The right to have a gun goes beyond the second amendment. He is connected to the protection of life in the exercise of self-defense. In my view, the citizen can’t be in perpetual state of inferiority in relation to a criminal who can use any type of gun. Create restrictions to the use of certain weapons can mean the impossibility of exercising the right to self-defense in practice

IF Mr Kelly did do as was stated, which I can not say he did because I did not see the transaction, is the old “Do as I say, not as I do”. Mr Kelly may be one of those who like to stand on the fence and wait till the dust settles before he takes his jump. Actions such as these only prove that those who wish to impose laws and rules can not themselve follow such laws. We, as a people must decide which side of the fence we will make our stand. There is right/wrong, good/evil, these have many faces and many voices, we, as a moral people, which true Americans are know right from wrong, good from evil. Times are changeing every moment….we are now standing on the battleground that will decide the future of our country. Long live freedom and those who chouse to protect and defend those freedoms.

Mr Kelly needs to be arrested for lying on the federal form question #11,he said he never had planned to keep it but to give it to the sheriffs dept. #11 ask if you are purchasing this weapon for yourself and in bold letters it states lying on this question is a felony, he should be arrested and charged with lying on his federal application to purchase a firearm

Bckground check at a gunshow????? what????….These pplclaim you can get any gun you want from a gunshow with NO background checks…"gunshow loophole"

you would think that anyone with half a brain who wants to "close gunshow loopholes and ban hicaps and assault weapons" would:

    1) NOT go gun shopping at a gunshow
    2) NOT bother with a "background check"
    3) NOT buy anything "hicap"
    4) NOT buy an "assault weapon"

but then again, we have caught yet another gun banner lying thru his/her teeth while exercising his/her right to firearm protection because they consider themselves self-important

Daniel Grenfield used terrible language when referring to Gabby Giffords. That's what makes people dislike and succumb to FAH (Fear, Anger, Hatred). Gentle and respectful language communicates effectively. And, language is everything.

fake more people are by hammers and culb then by guns. 323 are killed by guns and 496 are killed by blunt instruments. so band hammers and culbs.
