I'm disabled. Truly. I have advancing multiple sclerosis. I'm 61 as well. How do you think I feel when I find that Medicare no longer covers Part D class drugs, something I have to use every day to postpone further disease damage as long as I can? That MS injectable drug has skyrocketed to $6,500.00 PER MONTH. How do I get the drug? Through an assistance program operated BY THE DRUG COMPANY ITSELF. Do you think I'm insulted and angry that I, an American citizen, am discarded when people who have no work ethic or strong values are in the merry-go-round of "DEPENDENT AND ENTITLED" while MY reality is that I'll end up homeless in about 3 years when I'm 65? If I went to Mexico, much less Canada, Britain, practically any other country in the civilized world, my meds would be covered, my healthcare would be free, and only doctors who truly care about people work in the system. Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans will embrace the FACT that we need, and deserve, a full National Healthcare system. Pharmaceutical companies can charge the outrageous $6,500.00/month nowhere but in the US because it's the only place where people are actually paying that obscene cost. Doubt the power the major drug companies weild here? Any other options? Move out of the US if you're really ill, even if you're an American citizen.

One of many reasons why it doesn't matter what the Republicans do or don't do.
Obama owns Amnesty already and will continue his Executive Orders regardless or congress.
----------------------------
Obama, through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), announced that his administration would be circumventing the Congress, and thereby the U.S. Constitution, by unilaterally implementing elements of the DREAM Act, a legislative proposal dealing with minor aliens which had repeatedly failed to become law.

Obama Jobs Program: Help Illegals Compete with Americans for Scarce Jobs

Mike Flynn 15 June 2012

Today, the Obama Administration, in an obvious attempt to boost the President's flailing reelection campaign, announced that it would bypass Congress and rewrite the nation's immigration laws.

The Obama administration will stop deporting and begin granting work permits to younger illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children

-- Long lines formed at help centers and lawyers' office across America Wednesday as thousands of young, undocumented immigrants began applying for relief from deportation.

They took advantage of one of the biggest immigration policy changes in years. An executive order by President Barack Obama allows those who entered the country illegally as children to remain and work without fear of deportation for at least two years.

A crowd formed at Chicago's Navy Pier Wednesday to get help from immigration lawyers and fill out forms.

Based on $7,000 spent per illegal alien from Medicare, 12 million illegal aliens would cost Medicare about $84 billion dollars per year. But think of how many votes the Democrats would get from the community if they promise to pay everyone's medical bills.

This is fiscal insanity. The Democrats have no respect for tax dollars - they use them to buy votes. They will continue to vote for every measure which spends more federal money for their 'voters' and increase taxes on the shrinking margin of productive workers in the country (in addition to printing more money by the Fed).

When the majority of the country is on federal benefits (and even illegals on federal benefits), how do you stop this train wreck? It will never be the Democratic party which asks for fiscal sanity, and they will demonize the Republicans for trying to contain federal spending. How do you force Democrats to become fiscally responsible?
