Murderer of Israel Math Teacher Released Due to Pressure from Obama Regrets Nothing

Tzvi Klein

Regret requires conscience. Or real punishment. And both of those are absent here.

Samarin Asrar murdered Tzvi Klein, an Israeli village match teacher, in 1991. Klein had been born in Czechoslovakia right after the Holocaust and taught elementary school at the local village. He enjoyed watching basketball and was involved in education. While driving in the car with his daughter, he was shot in the head. His daughter called for help, but he died shortly thereafter leaving behind his wife and three children.

He was 44 years old.

Asrar, his killer, a member of Arafat’s Fatah terror movement which became the government of the Palestinian Authority, was released by Israel after pressure by Obama to meet the Palestinian Authority’s preconditions for resuming negotiations.

And Asrar makes it clear that he regrets nothing.

Released murderer Asrar Samrin: “The first question all Israeli media ask every released prisoner is, ‘Do you regret what you did or not?’ This is the question they always ask. Through the great PA TV, I say to the Israelis: There is no Palestinian who did something for the homeland and his nation who will regret it. We don’t regret what we did and we will not regret what we did.”

PA TV host: “Palestine deserves sacrifice.”

Samrin: “Palestine deserves sacrifice.”
[Official PA TV, Oct. 30, 2013]

The Great PA TV, like the rest of the Palestinian Authority, is funded by Western foreign aid.
