Good news for everyone who likes seeing nuclear technology in the hands of a homicidal and genocidal cult.
Electricity and Energy Minister Saad Mahmoud Balbaa said that his ministry had completed the preparation of a Request For Proposals (RFP) and other specifications concerning the establishment of Egypt’s first nuclear power plant.
The pamphlet is ready to be presented to investors following President Mohamed Morsy’s approval, and the ministry anticipates implementing the nuclear project in the new year.
The minister said in a statement quoted by Turkish news agency Anadolu that Egypt’s nuclear program aims to establish four nuclear plants to generate electricity with a total capacities of 4000 MW by 2025.
Egypt has been kicking around a nuclear program for decades without ever really crossing the finish line, because nuclear power was too expensive, it isn’t jumping again into the pool because nuclear energy is cost-effective in Egypt, but because nuclear capabilities are the mark of a great power in the region, especially now that Shiite Iran is rapidly going nuclear, and the new Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt views Israel as the enemy.
