Muslims Claim Jabba the Hutt’s Palace is a Mosque

Muslims get upset a lot. Sometimes they are offended by cartoons. Other times they claim that the Burger King snow cones look like Allah. And they claim that a lot of places are mosques, even when they aren’t. Usually those places however are real.

The case of Jabba the Hutt’s palace may be the first time that Muslims claimed a fictional place as a mosque. Jabba is a fictional character from the Star Wars movies. His palace was constructed in 700 BY (whatever that is)  and appeared in a movie in 1983. For 30 years it was left alone, until a Lego set of it came out leading Muslims to shriek that it’s really a mosque. And not just any mosque, but the Hagia Sophia mosque which used to be a church until Muslims stole it and turned it into a mosque.

A comparison of both places shows that they don’t have much in common beyond both having lots of domes, a staple of the architecture of the region. If Muslims start claiming every large domed building as a mosque, well… they kind of already do.

Jabba’s Palace

Hagia Sophia

This is the Lego set which infuriated Muslims so badly.

Still not a mosque.

Anyway common sense never stopped Muslims from going on a tear about being offended by racism, islamophobia and children’s toys.

Lego has been accused of racism by the Turkish community over a Star Wars toy allegedly depicting  a mosque.

The critics claim that the Jabba’s Palace model, part of Lego’s Star Wars range, offends Muslims as it resembles the Hagia Sophia mosque in Istanbul – one of the world’s most renowned mosques.

Members of the Turkish Cultural Community of Austria group also accused the toy manufacturer of depicting Asians as having ‘deceitful and criminal personalities’.

The group has released a statement calling for an apology from Lego for its cultural insensitivity.

But wait, this story gets even dumber as the Turkish Community of Austria works itself up into a demented lather of fake outrage.

A statement posted on the organisation’s website refers to Jabba the Hutt as a ‘terrorist’ and says that he ‘likes to smoke hookah and have his victims killed’.

It adds: ‘It is clear that the ugly figure of Jabba and the whole scene smacks of racial prejudice and vulgar insinuations against Asians and Orientals as people with deceitful and criminal personalities.’

The statement says that the figures in the set are made to resemble ‘terrorists, criminals and murderers’.

Just like a real mosque.

Wow, they're so psychotic they can't tell reality from fantasy! No wonder they are so messed up.

"Wow, they're so psychotic they can't tell reality from fantasy! No wonder they are so messed up."

But they don't know what they reveal by identifying with them. At worst they could say he is riffing off of terrorists, but they try to conflate depictions of criminal behavior with bias against "Asians and Orientals." I guess "Oriental" includes the middle east since it's east of Europe and that's how many Europeans understand that term. But how vague can you get while calling others bigots? Talk about projection.

The only way to win with them is to make all criminals depicted in Western films Republicans with their membership clearly depicted. They will be the future villains for all Hollywood films.

EVERYTHING belongs to Islam and that is that, and this is why submission is a must (and Islam literally means submission!) – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/10/21/how-far-will-

In fact, thousands of yr old Jewish history is theirs too, or so they want the world to believe. Regardless, there is push back, but it should increase to the nth degree – before it is too late. Jewish nationalists, in Israel, ARE fighting them each and every day, and in so many ways few have a clue about.

Jaba was Muhammad, and what you're looking at Daniel, is the Dome of the Rock where MO somehow, had a futuristic wet dream. The wild looking Storm Troopers, or care takers inside the Dome, are bearded waqfs, with AK-47s, wearing turbans.

Correct. The original version of Star Wars III had to be edited to pass the censors. The original version would have been rated X when the historical behavior of Mo was suggested.

    LOL..now I know why I love Star Wars..hahahah…annoying those that hate….

    • Ben Jabo

Decare it to be a Mosque, then aim cannonfire at it

  • Arthur

BY stands for before yavin, yavin is the moon with the rebel base where they launched the attack on the Death Star in Star Wars episode IV "A New Hope". Sorry to reveal just how much of a geek I am but I do love Star Wars, well the originals at least.

It's funny because Hollywood liberals go to such extents to try not to offend those looking to be offended by launching out in space and using characters totally alien to this solar system, yet somehow it's still racist.

Does that not perfectly illustrate the problem with appeasement of these people who are raised on delusional lies? You can't appease liars. They'll just invent new fictions to be offended about. How much clearer can it get before these leftists wake up?

I know. They won't because they're racists who don't expect any better.

But it's also very funny that THEY identify these commonalities even though these characters are literally aliens of our age and physical location in "space."

What they mean by "Asians and Orientals" is not samurai or ninjas. They mean jihadis.

      • Keiko_Infidel

Yes, it's the same retarded kind of brain that has blacks screaming that calling Obama "the welfare president" is racist…because they identify welfare with blacks. It's the same mentality.

  • Keiko Infidel

George Lucas has stated that his Star Wars stories contain elements of all religions. However, the fact that Muslims are fixated on this instead of, say, contributing brilliant minds to the field of science or something…it says a lot about how backwards and out of touch they are. And useless.

    • Daniel Greenfield

Everyone makes their contribution. Some build things. Others protest against them.

  • objectivefactsmatter

Every Muslim knows, they invented the dome too.

The claim that Hagia Sophia is now a mosque is false. It was one of the great centers of Christianity, established by the Roman Emperor Constantine, until Constantinople was conquered by the Turks in the 15th century. The Turks turned it into a mosque, and then It was converted into a museum by Mustafa Kemal (Kemal Ataturk) after he came to power, and is now a museum. ("Hagia Sophia" means "Holy Wisdom" in Greek, and is often referred to in English as "St. Sophia.")

    • objectivefactsmatter

"It was converted into a museum by Mustafa Kemal (Kemal Ataturk) after he came to power, and is now a museum. "

True, but to most Muslims, it's a stealth mosque waiting for the right time to go operational. I'm not joking.

    • jakespoon

If it was a mosque, then it still is,in their thinking.

  • Edward Cline

And here I thought BY meant "Before Yoda." Yoda, you see, was a doppelganger of Mohammad. Luke Skywalker was an infidel Crusader before he was converted to the "Light Side." Darth Vader was a good guy before his face was messed up by surrendering to bad thoughts. Hans Solo and the Wookie were a pair of mercenary infidels. Princess Lea was a whore asking to be raped because she never covered her head and insisted on wearing sexy clothes. And the Ewoks were just humble Muslims who lived in trees. George Lucas had it all backwards. Off with his head.

    • objectivefactsmatter

"Yoda, you see, was a doppelganger of Mohammad"

Darth Vader would have been Mo if he'd also gone around raping children and domestic animals, not to mention a dead wookie here and there.

      • jakespoon

I never thought Mo had sex with domesticated animals, that may be why he hated pigs, they turned him down.

Then a couple of years ago, there was the protest over the cube outside the Apple Store on 59th Street and Fifth Avenue in NY. Supposedly too much a look alike of the Kaaba. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that that beautiful modernistic structure wears a sheet for fear of "reprisals?" …

  • DVult

I am offended that they are claiming that the Hagia Sophia is a mosque! Stop the occupation – of Constantinople!!

    • objectivefactsmatter

"Stop the occupation – of Constantinople!!"

You got that right. Roll back Islamic colonialism. They can have Mecca if they stay there exclusively.

  • tdbostick

Hey wait a minute…Didn't the Turks steal the Hagia Sophia from the Christians and convert it to a mosque? That's why it's called to this day St. Sophia (translation of its Greek name), not Imam Ali or whatever. Even if Jabba's palace was based on that building, it's based on a church, not a mosque.

    • objectivefactsmatter

"Even if Jabba's palace was based on that building, it's based on a church, not a mosque."

Um, yeah. That is how absurd these people are. But still, Islam invented the dome even before Mo was around. The Christians stole the ideas, and in fact all science and technology comes from Muslims, including everything from modern refrigeration to Quantum Physics. Come on, you need to study your "Islamic history" more diligently.

      • Hutt Overlord

It's a pretty straight forward method for logic – you destroy a city and steal a Church at some point in your history. Then, you claim a building set in a fantasy universe with large alien overlords is somehow related to the building you stole as a religious icon. :)

  • Flowerknife_us

Well- there goes the notion of having a Mosque in every home.

    • kafir4life

Before there was indoor plumbing, many homes DID have mosques, but they were outside, single serving sized. http://www.gocomics.com/bc/2003/11/10
      Love the "I" SLAM!!
muslims should learn to laugh at themsleves…..like everyone else.

Has Abe Hooper from the terrorist supporters at the terrorist supporting hamas linked cair complained that his likeness was used for the Jabba character?

  • antisharia

20 generations of inbreeding, no wonder they can't tell fact from fiction. if there's any justice in the world one day Hagia Sophia(which was the greatest church in eastern Christianity) will be a church again. The Muslims raped Constantinople and defaced what was a culutural treasure.

  • Derek

    Come on….
Is this really the burning issue of our age? Do we really care about this?

    • Daniel Greenfield

"This" isn't the issue. The idea that Muslims can use their perpetual offended status and threats of violence to get their way on every issue no matter how small or petty is the issue.

    • objectivefactsmatter

"Come on…. Is this really the burning issue of our age? Do we really care about this?"

Most readers are able to put things in perspective. If you can't, that's your shortcoming. Don't project that on to others without any evidence. I don't hear anyone planning protest marches over this depravity. It's just another silly example of a deadly problem that truly is the "burning" issue of our age; Islamic delusion, deadly totalitarian desires and the conspiracies driven by them.

But hey, why should we really care about this?

  • willmac235brn

Oh, well… their accusation/ claim is overshadowed by my accusation/ claim that they are anti- Star Wars and wish to remove any trace of the awesome series from the face of the earth. Far-fetched? I know. So is their claim. As far as I'm concerned, there a other things to focus on in the "real world."
