Obama: “Just Sign an Agreement and Israel and Palestine Will Be Just Like America and Canada”

Apparently Obama is unaware that Israel has signed a bunch of these agreements already and they haven’t been worth the paper that they were written on.

It’s not easy to have your kids sleeping in bed and then boom a rocket comes through the roof. But my argument is that even though both sides may have areas of strong disagreement, may be engaging in activities that the other side considers to be a breach of good trust, good faith, we have to push through those things to try to get to an agreement because if we get an agreement then it will be very clear what the nature of that agreement is, there will be a sovereign Palestinian state and a sovereign Jewish State of Israel and those two states I think will be able to deal with each other the same way that all states do.

I mean you know the United States and Canada has arguments once in a while but they’re not in the nature of arguments that can’t be solved diplomatically.

Not only does Obama appear to equate Israel constructing houses with the Palestinian Authority but he also appears to have no answer for why his magic proposal of SIGNING AN AGREEMENT has not worked any of the previous times that it was tried.

The problem here is not a failure to negotiate peace, it’s a failure of actual peace. The Palestinian Authority is not interested in peace. If they were, then they would not be teaching children to become suicide bombers. The only reason to do that is if you expect the war to go on endlessly. The Palestinian Authority will sign agreements, but not end the violence.

Obama either doesn’t know that or refuses to deal with it.

Canada has not turned its educational system into a hate machine teaching its children that their goal in life is to kill Americans. If it had then no peace would be possible regardless of how many agreements were signed.

How about the fact that "Palestine" was never a country to begin with. Newt Gingrich is right about the invented people interview. It is time that the administration starts recognizing who our real friends are and who our real enemies are.

  • Softly Bob

As ever, Obama the fantasist operates in Obamarama, a view that gives him his own version of reality.
Like most Leftists who rely on bureaucracy and renaming things to solve problems, he thinks that signing a piece of paper will solve the Israel-Palestinian issue. Comparing Israel and Palestine to the U.S. and Canada is like comparing them to Nazi Germany and Poland. How can Israel ever be expected to trust any agreements made with these bloodthirsty lunatics is beyond any stretch of the imagination especially as it didn't work before all the umpteen times it was tried.
Someone really needs to kick this evil ignoramus out of the White House. He is the equivalent of Jimmy Carter's mentally-retarded, evil twin brother.
I seriously hope that Israel completely ignores the demands of this buffoon and tells him to stick his clueless agreements exactly where the Sun doesn't shine!.

Obama speaks from a total secularist view. He doesn't read, or believe that the Bible is Divine and hence his view of the Israeli – Plestinian conflict he thinks can be solved easily. It never will be solved. Besides, the Israelis are NOT the occupiers, as this is corroburated in the Bible. As most of the world doesn't read it, or believe that it's true using Archeology, Historical or over 5000 manuscript evidences to support the Bibles claim of existence, the World and Obama will expect Israel to "play nice".

"Obama speaks from a total secularist view. He doesn't read, or believe that the Bible is Divine and hence his view of the Israeli – Plestinian conflict he thinks can be solved easily."

      He doesn't read history either.

All you really have to do is relate the true amount of people killed on each side to see the truth. Why not gig us a number Daniel?

    • Drakken

As far as I am concerned the Israelis aren't killing enough of them, screw tha palis, they deserve a lot more destruction than what they got.

"As far as I am concerned the Israelis aren't killing enough of them, screw tha palis, they deserve a lot more destruction than what they got."

It would have been merciful to everyone to have killed enough of them decades ago. That chance for peace has gone. Now we've got disasters being exasperated by lunatics with delusional ideas about who to blame, which empowers evil.

If you put both your brain cells to work you would realize that If the islamofascists in Gaza and Lebanon were to stop unilaterally firing rockets and mortar rounds into Israel, Israel would have no reason to retaliate.

    • objectivefactsmatter

"All you really have to do is relate the true amount of people killed on each side to see the truth. Why not gig us a number Daniel?"

It's easier to stick with the percentages that Islamic supramacists are culpable for: 100%

What a retread. "All you really have to do is…" You've broadcast to the world how simple your mind is.

I agree that Obama is a twit but you'll need other evidence. US official policy since 1947 has been to see Israel and Palestine living in peace as two separate nations. If Israel and Palestine could manage that, it would be a boon to the whole dang planet.
Golda Meir is quoted as saying, "When the Palestinians love their children more than they hate Israel, we will have peace." And she was right. Obama is describing a world that does not exist and he isn't claiming it exists, but it's a world I'd like to see.
And no, another sheet of paper won't bring it. The agreement has to be real and so far the Palestinians have rejected or reneged on every plausible deal.

    • Drakken

The only way your going to have peace with the pali savages is to eliminate every bloody one of them, other than that, its wishful thinking.

  • TheTooner

Actually, a lot of people working in our education system have been indoctrinating our children to think ill of the U.S.A., though not going so far as killing Americans. (Fortunately many of us here still know who our friends really are, and have a proper appreciation of our neighbours.)

    • Ken (Kulak)

Well said Tooner. This has been going on for decades.

    • Toni_Pereira

Not only in the US, TheTooner. That self hate is very common in Europe too, as well anti-americanism. Acording to the well-thinking classes, we are a bunch of creeps in a world full of Rosseau's noble savages.

"If there were a master standard for morons, that guy would be on display in a museum."

I have to admit that in all seriousness I'd have to try very, very hard to come up with dumber words uttered by a head of state.

No Islamic state can ever be compared to the USA or Canada, and certainly no pretender state waging the jihadi war against the West could be considered in that light in any sense. It's the polar opposite of reality when you consider any facts of history. Because you know, Canada wanted to kill us for generations and then once we had an "agreement" we started eating pancakes and bacon together on Saturdays and everything is just wonderful because of that "agreement."

  • gee59

Odumba knows what he is doing and that is he working on disarming Israel so that his pets can murder us. It is plain as that

It is as always difficult to say if our Pres is ignorant, naive or deceive scrupulously picked up for his speech brainwashed by liberal professors youth. The students from Arial University who is mostly conservatives were not allowed to be among Obama auditorium. Community organizer play his favorite role. Sure, it is scorn to compare Islamo-nazis Arabs of Palestine whose only goal to destroy Israel and Canada. I think Canada PM should sue our President for that insult.

Were those Obozo's words? Sounded more like he was reading one of those 7 year old's letters asking him to ban all guns. Seriously, if this is a statement he issued then he clearly has the intelligence of a fifth grader when there is no teleprompter.

"there will be a sovereign Palestinian state" No, and we should all vow to never let this happen. That's all we need is another terrorist state.

A fifth grader raised by leftists maybe.

Being a Messianic Armenian whose grandmother's sisters and brothers were killed by Turkish Muslims, I can tell you that the moment a so-called Palestinian state is formed, the ability of Hamas and Hezbollah to attack Israel will be ratcheted up enormously. By using the power and influence of the U.S. government to bring about a Palestinian state, Mr. Obama will naively open a Pandora's box of unprecedented consequences.

By the way, what land would Mr. Obama define as a Palestinian state?

  • Ben Cohen

    Daniel,

You must agree that a real peace agreement where the Arab world recognizes Israel would be the preferable outcome. Sadly that won't happen.

  • Doug Rodrigues

Obama can't possibly be THAT stupid?

    • Toni_Pereira

      Yes, he can!!

  • Toni_Pereira

If that means that Palestine will be a nation full of idiotic liberals, maybe they should leave things the way they are…

There's a difference between the Canadians and the Palestinians. The Canadians don't want me dead because I'm American. The Palestinians do. The Palestinians scream for the deaths of Americans every chance they get. The Canadians haven't done that. I trust the Canadians far,far more than the Palestinians.
