Obama Meets With Anti-Israel, Pro-Hamas Groups Before Trip to Israel

It’s Hope, Change and Jihad, but what else did you really expect for Peace Tour 2013?
Obama has made it clear all along that he is interested in the Muslim side, not the Jewish side. His allies in the Jewish community are all leftist Anti-Israel groups such as J Street. He has little to no relationship with mainstream pro-Israel leaders. But he has extensive ties to the Islamist crowd .
President Barack Obama met with several controversial anti-Israel Arab groups ahead of his visit to the Jewish state on March 20.
Obama held an “intimate” gathering Monday with Arab American leaders and others to solicit advice and ask questions in preparation for his visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories next week.
I doubt there was a similar meeting with Jewish leaders before a trip to Saudi Arabia, but hey the man did say that he would stand with the Muslims. That’s one place where he kept his word.
Included in the meeting was Haris Tarin , D.C. director of the controversial Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), a Muslim-American group that has falsely accused Israel of harvesting Palestinian organs and has asked for Hamas and Hezbollah to be removed from the list of United States-designated terror groups.
This should come as no surprise, because Barack Hussein Obama has kept MPAC and its founder pretty close, despite a history of support for terrorism .
Also in attendance was the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), a group that has called Israel an “apartheid state” and once presented an award to the author of an essay titled, “Zionism is a Form of Racism.”
ADC also has a predictable record of defending Hamas .
In 1994, then-ADC President Hamzi Moghrabi said, “I will not call [Hamas] a terrorist organization. I mean, I know many people in Hamas. They are very respectable … I don’t believe Hamas, as an organization, is a violent organization.” Two years later, his successor, Hala Maksoud, defended Hamas’ partner in Mideastern terrorism, Hezbollah. “I find it shocking,” Maksoud said, “that [one] would include Hezbollah in … [an] inventory of Middle East ‘terrorist’ groups.” In 2000, new ADC President Hussein Ibish characterized Hezbollah as “a disciplined and responsible liberation force.” James Abourezk called Hamas and Hezbollah “resistance fighters.”
But the good news here is….
The Arab groups offered Obama specific policy recommendations regarding the Israel-Palestine peace process.
What could these ideas possibly consist of?
The ADC delivered a memo to Obama with some proposals…
1- Palestinian Unity: Achieving unity among Palestinians will help reach a lasting peace in the Middle East. ADC urges you to
play a constructive role in this regard, and remove obstacles delaying the achievement of Palestinian unity
“Unity” in this case means uniting Hamas and Fatah in a single government. The ADC deceptively fails to state this openly.
The obstacles that Obama could conceivably remove would involve barriers to US aid going to Hamas and US disapproval of Hamas.
So item 1 calls for the United States to push Abbas to let Hamas in reversing Bush Administration policy.
2- US Aid to Israel: ADC is deeply concerned about allegations of torturing 30-year-old Palestinian prisoner Arafat Jaradat to death in Israeli prison last month
MPAC does not have a similar memo up, but its dishonest “Envisioning Peace” pamphlet endorses “The Right of Resistance” and endorses a Hamas government.
In 2006, the Palestinians successfully completed the most free, fair and transparent elections in the Middle East. Israel and the U.S. responded to this democratic election by immediately refusing to negotiate with the elected government and shortly thereafter began a policy of punishing the Palestinian people for having elected the people of their choice.
This collective punishment came in the form of cutting off aid and depriving people of wages and desperately needed humanitarian aid. If the United States was able to deal with the Communist regime of the former Soviet Union for over 50 years, then the U.S. should be able to deal with any democratically elected government in the world.
Like the ADC, MPAC does not use the name “Hamas”, but endorses Hamas and urges Obama to make a deal with Hamas. These are undoubtedly the suggestions that MPAC relayed to Hamas.
So before going to Israel, Obama met with two pro-Hamas and anti-Israel groups.
