Obama Signs Executive Order for NRA’s “Crazy” School Guards Plan

About a 1,000 of them, as a matter of a fact under Executive Order 18.

GIVE LOCAL COMMUNITIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO HIRE UP TO 1,000 SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS AND SCHOOL COUNSELORS:

School resource officers, school psychologists, social workers, and school counselors all have a role to play in keeping our students safe. We can help schools fill these roles by using this year’s COPS program to provide incentives for more police departments to hire school resource officers. And today, the President is proposing a new, comprehensive school safety initiative to help local school districts hire up to 1,000 school resource officers and school-based mental health professionals, as well as make other investments in school safety.

After the Newtown shootings, Obama said, “I am skeptical that the only answer is putting more guns in schools. And I think the vast majority of the American people are skeptical that that somehow is going to solve our problem.”

Looks like 1,000 school guards are suddenly a solution. Or at least they became a solution once Obama realized that the American people were not in step with his irrational and extremist views that denied that armed security could prevent school shootings.

Still, considering his prior opposition to the plan, it’s safe to assume that Obama will find ways to sabotage his own proposal.

And apparently, according to certain left wing bloggers, the safety of the few (Prez's kids) outweigh the needs of the many (the rest of the children of the USA)!

I don't think anyone said they're more important, but obviously they're in greater potential danger, they are kinda the children of the most powerful man on the planet… And i don't really see how that interferes with my need, seems like a pretty logical system to me

Not only that, but it is entirely the case that armed guards save lives – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/12/18/what-the-msm-

Nevertheless, patriots shouldn't be lulled to sleep, believing that the radical POTUS had a change of heart. He didn't. He is busy working to completely gut the Second Amendment. This is a sop to stop the "bitter clingers' from charging after him. He is attempting to catch them off their game. The evidence is there to support said claim.

More union employees, arming administrators would be way too economical.

But there's still no guarantee that these "resource officers" will be armed. Some school districts ban them from carrying guns. http://www.fox10tv.com/dpp/news/local_news/mobile
