Obama Uses His Egyptian Disaster to Argue That Israel Should Trust the Terrorists

Well this worked out well

Is Obama familiar with anything that happened in Egypt since his speech? Seriously.

I ask you, instead, to think about what can be done to build trust between people.

Four years ago I stood in Cairo in front of an audience of young people. Politically, religiously, they must seem a world away. But the things they want — they’re not so different from what the young people here want. They want the ability to make their own decisions and to get an education and to get a good job, to worship God in their own way, to get married, to raise a family. The same is true of those young Palestinians that I met with this morning. The same is true for young Palestinians who yearn for a better life in Gaza.

Again, this is from Obama’s big Jerusalem speech and it proves that he either has no clue what happened in Egypt or is just determined to tell insane lies hoping that college students don’t watch the news.

The outcome of democratic elections in Egypt showed that what they wanted was theocracy, the repression of Christians and women, and a state of sectarian conflict.

They didn’t want to worship God in their own way. They wanted to compel everyone to worship Allah their way.

They didn’t want the ability to make their own decisions, they wanted a theocracy that would make those decisions for them.

Obama’s analogy is dangerously apt. Gaza is run by Hamas, which is the local arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas won the last elections in the Palestinian Authority. If actual elections were held now, Hamas would win them again.

That is why Obama calls on Israelis to trust them, but doesn’t call on his good buddy President Abbas to hold elections that would prove conclusively whether that trust is merited.

Everyone wants a better life. That’s not the question here. The Nazis wanted a better life. The Communists wanted a better life. But they only wanted a better life for themselves.

Obama demands empathy from Israelis but makes no such parallel request of the other side. Most Israelis have wanted the fighting to end for decades. The problem is on the other side. And that is what Obama fails to address.

Wanting a better life is not the same as wanting peace. Wanting a better life for yourself is not the same as a willingness to let someone else have a better life too.

Rather than address the hatred and bigotry on the terrorist side, Obama takes refuge in meaningless words and demands that Israelis show an empathy that has not been and will not be reciprocated. And he uses the meltdown in Egypt to bolster his case where Islamists and their opponents have been fighting it out in the streets.

Obama refuses to learn from history and he insists that Israelis should likewise refuse to learn from history.

I am not a big fan of Israel, but you have to not know Middle East history or culture to think they can just get along with their neighbors by wanting to. Even in a more benign circumstance it would be problematic, and perhaps suicidal in the current situation. Quite a guy we got for president.

LMBO! Obama and his double negatives!! Like Israel is gonna bite on that one!!

Let's put it this way, as appeasing as Israel's leaders are – and they are off the charts – there is no one, in top leadership, who thinks the "Arab Spring", via the toppling of Mubarak, was a step in the right direction. That's for sure.

So, "The One" can whistle Dixie, if he expects to convince Jerusalem via that comparison, but they are pliable in other directions – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/09/04/more-hell-unl

Just more Taqiyya….this is how muslims win, lie and never keep their word.

The real problem is that the President is not, stupid, misinformed or even naive. He knows exactly what he is doing and that is attempting to destroy Israel.

We have seen exactly what is happening in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and Libya with the President's help and want no part of it

i AM a huge supporter of Israel and its people. Daniel, what an excellent analogy with your points well taken. Notice that Obama demands to speak to the young people when he travels? Using the same communist manifesto that Hitler used. Truly, he has no intention whatsoever of really helping Israel and stand up for them, using nothing but words and his Iron Dome program, but then he turns right around and kisses up to Egypt with sending them OUR fighter jets and OUR tanks, and more money than he has Israel! The man is nuts! You cannot negotiate with terrorists! With his constantly calling for the pre-1967 borders, he has brought the Wrath of God down on America…just watch…it's coming!

Yes, you are right..he is pandering to the youth as most communists do, they are easy to endoctrinate.

"Four years ago I stood in Cairo in front of an audience of young people. Politically, religiously, they must seem a world away. But the things they want — they’re not so different from what the young people here want."

0'Bama is establishing himself as the premiere leftist who is approaching delusional nirvana; the ability to ignore 100% of the objective facts that don't fit one's delusions. And he's able to do this is speeches broadcast around the world.

It's stunning. No wonder people started referring to him as an anti-Christ. They only stopped because few people even know what that really means.

Now our miserable so-called commander-in- thief's comparing the people's wants and desires, in a Muslim nation, that's being governed by the Muslim Brotherhood to our United States Constitution. That's how FUBAR and muddled Barack's gray mass has become. His mind on Islamic governance, and his own, have become blurred.

Obama knows full well what the Arab Winter means. He intentionally enabled it. What he is doing in Israel is speaking to those who are susceptible to his lies. He's trying to drive a wedge, create a conflict within Israel. He's trying to weaken resolve and paralyze self-preservation instincts….like he and the Left have done here in the US. He sows doubt by offering demonstrably delusional hopes, knowing that some people are stupid enough to fall for it.

Obama is trying to redistribute power, which necessarily means to the Muslims.

      Brilliant article, and comment. Agree!

There's an old saying,"Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it." Sadly,it seems President Obama hasn't heard that old saying.
