Obama Wants to Invest in Infrastructure and Make it Impossible to Build Anything

If you heard one theme that Obama has been on about at the beginning of both of his terms, it’s infrastructure. During his last campaign, Obama even described it as “Nation Building at Home”, implicitly admitting that he beat down America to the level of Iraq or post-war Japan.

All the bridges, we were told, were seconds away from falling down. The highways were full of potholes. The schools were leaning farther than a Pisan tower and if we didn’t build light rail across California, all the illegal aliens would have no choice but to run down pedestrians without a license.

The infrastructure pitch sounds good to a lot of people. But it’s coupled with an environmentalist anti-infrastructure pitch.

Obama wants to spend money building things, but he doesn’t actually want to build them. Instead he wants to spend money not building them. That’s the absurd post-construction phase we’re in.

Barack Obama is preparing to tell all federal agencies for the first time that they should consider the impact on global warming before approving major projects, from pipelines to highways.

“It’s got us very freaked out,” said Ross Eisenberg, vice president of the National Association of Manufacturers, a Washington-based group that represents 11,000 companies such as Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) and Southern Co. (SO) The standards, which constitute guidance for agencies and not new regulations, are set to be issued in the coming weeks, according to lawyers briefed by administration officials.

While some U.S. agencies already take climate change into account when assessing projects, the new guidelines would apply across-the-board to all federal reviews. Industry lobbyists say they worry that projects could be tied up in lawsuits or administrative delays.

Since the Ecoscammer establishment claims that all human activity increases the Carbon footprint and leads to the icebergs melting and the planet exploding, this is a blank check to block any infrastructure project.

Not only is this a bullet to the head of the American middle class as gas prices will rise even higher, but it will impact the supposed infrastructure construction that Obama wants.

We’re going to have agencies and contractors dueling over approval for everything and environmental studies required to get absolutely anything done.

This will be a mecca for all those grads with useless ecoscammer degrees and ecoscammer non-profit experience who will get themselves hired by construction companies to help them “navigate” the process, but a disaster for the actual construction industry.

What better way to deconstruct America than to call for construction, knowing full well that its viability is less than zero. In other words, the Radical-in-Chief's main "governing" plan is to keep the debt unsustainable, as it explodes even further under the avalanche of ObamaCare. The point being, ObamaCare was designed to implode the system, even as he "wants to invest in infrastructure".

It is akin to multiple rapists becoming the overseers of victim assistance programs!!

US pays about a $3 trillion a year for Medicare (fat old people), Medicaid (fat young people), Welfare (crackhead prostitutes and murderers) and food stamps (criminals who hide their income).

Roads and bridges built by unions at 100x over budget and decades pass their deadlines will surely get those people to stop living off taxpayers and turn them into much needed doctors and engineers overnight. It would be too unfair to stop sending crack dealers and drug cartel assassins their monthly food stamps. We need a balanced approach, like Obama says.

It's like there's no scarcity of domestic energy and raw materials and the Federal budget's never been healthier, so what the hell?

OH no, of course, so he can point to an unfinished construction and say, "YOU DIDN'T BUILD THAT!"

I recall being in Czech after the borders were open, and went into a resort town. Scaffling was all over the fronts of facades, but nothing was going on. No workers to be scene.I asked how long this had been going on. Someone shrugged and said five years. The future of the USA under our great saboture.

Obama is deaf to reason and insensitive to mockery. But, then, when has a Marxist or a Muslim ever been open to reason or sensitive to mockery?

I was listening to the Jason Lewis show on the radio 2 nights ago. He was interviewing a man from the reason foundation. The Reason Foundation just completed a 20 year study on the roads and bridges of ALL 50 states.
The finds were that they are in BETTER shape than they have ever been. The report can be found under the title "are highways crumbling?" at the reason foundation website.

The serial liar is being true to form. Whatever obamanation says, the opposite is true, EXCEPT when he said he was going to change America.

It's a hard left academic's dream come true… lots of jobs for all those advanced-degree "experts" who see themselves as our leaders – whether we like it or not – while at the same time preventing those evil corporations from daring to build businesses, AND swelling the ranks of the public sector who will of course be needed to support all those hyper-educated bureaucrats who will guide us mere mortals to the true path.
