The President, a Democrat, was elected by a democratic majority in a democratic country in a democratic process – TWICE!

The majority of American voters knew who they were voting for and what they were voting for: Obamunism.

Obama did little to hide his agenda be it free health care, cheap credit, tighter internal security, a foreign policy of appeasement, Green cult nostrums and much else. All of this had the requisite seals of approval from The New York Times, CNN, NBC, and David Letterman. It was all there in plain sight for those who cared to look.

Blame the eligible who failed to vote. Blame divisiveness among Republicans if you like, but it doesn't matter. After the "Great Amnesty" to come, there will be no more Republican presidents anyway. You can note George W. Bush as the last one. After Amnesty the Democrats can nominate Joe Biden and win.

Life in America is about to become far less free, far more expensive and tougher to live and much meaner. For the Boomers and those over 50, prepare if you can and live your lives well while you can. The Democratic dynasty will probably last until the New Caliphate arrives and the Constitution of Medina replaces the current one.

Enjoy the Decline.

When things cost money, the private sector has a way of holding down costs - because they're forced to produce a profit to survive.

Yes, I wonder about the amount of water necessary to extract those hydrocarbons - and shortages that could result due to that process. But, if we're allowed to build wealth (you know, grow the economy rather than act like a bunch of luddites), you have to figure we can capitalize on ocean water and find an economical method of desalination.

Getting oil from shale and oil sands "is" more expensive than watching it bubble out of the ground like Jed Clampett.

Yet, the global demand will support that higher cost with no difficulty at all. Yet, Obama's Energy Secretary is quoted as saying we need $10.00/gallon gas.

Really now?

"One could as easily argue that in order to keep raising standards of living globally, we need to find more and cleaner sources of energy to support those standards."

The devil is in the details here. There is nothing wrong with those objectives. Nobody seriously questions that. It's the way it's being done that pisses people off.

And it's not the sources that are "dirty," it's certain processes that need to be optimized. Work on the things that make sense based on objective realities. Don't create these absurd, politically corrupted organizations that strive harder for "social justice" based on supposed crimes of the past than they do in trying to guide us to the better future.

That's what we object to. You think I don't like cars getting cleaner and higher mileage? What are you kidding? You think I would reject a solar or potato powered car that is truly practical? Go for it. Just stop supporting corrupt liars. Then I'll be on your side all the way.
