ObamaCare Girl Has No Plans to Sign Up for ObamaCare

You know that your website is really bad when the person in the stock photo on it doesn’t want her last name to be used. That’s the case for Adriana, a Colombian woman who for some reason ended up as the face of ObamaCare and is now crying on television about it.

Adriana, who asked that only her first name be used, said she was speaking out now to defend herself after weeks of enduring online lampooning.

“I’m here to stand up for myself and defend myself and let people know the truth,” she said.

And the truth is that she wants nothing to do with ObamaCare. But like most people interested in ObamaCare, she showed up for the free stuff.

Seeking free family photographs, Adriana emailed a contact at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the agency responsible for the Affordable Care Act’s rollout, about having photos of her and her family taken in exchange for allowing the photos to be used to market the new health care law. She was never paid.

She said that while she knew her photo would be used on the healthcare.gov website, she was stunned at the negative reception.

“They took the picture down. I wanted the picture down, and they wanted the picture down. I don’t think anybody wanted to focus on the picture.

Sometimes free stuff from the government can turn out to be surprisingly expensive. Whether it’s free photos or anything else.

Adriana is not a citizen, but still eligible for ObamaCare… but has no plans to sign up for it. When you can’t even get the face of ObamaCare to sign up for ObamaCare…

  • Gee

She is not a citizen, yet that is the person they picked for their website. Most telling about the US government.

    • Veracious_one

non citizens are treated better than legal citizens by the Obama administration…it’s part of his plan to destroy America…

      • KansasGirl

I’m sure she’ll qualify for a taxpayer subsidy to obtain it too. Geez

        • Notalibfool

Don’t forget her free college education!

May not actually be the U.S. government. I think maybe some other country has actually taken over and we just haven’t learned about it yet.

Hey, Gee…C’mon…They’re trying to “ease” Us into this “New World Order” thing as if there IS no United States of America or Her Constitution any more…THIS is The NWO’s way of letting US know…….a little bit at a time….carefully orchestrated “without firing a shot…”

As a fellow native South American native (and now a loyal U.S. citizen), she should be deported as a matter of principle. I mean, why didn’t she take her own pictures instead of looking for an angle to get free ones? People like that aren’t trustworthy.

Message of Daniel Greenfield: I see when you post to freerepublic.com that your article substitutes garbage characters like ’for all your apostrophes. You can avoid that if you save your Word file as a .txt file or even a rich text format file before posting it. That takes out the characters that come up as garbage characters and your article will post clean as a whistle.

    • Daniel Greenfield

I don’t post them there, but thanks nonetheless

      • GracieZG

Ah. Maybe that someone will read this….

I knew there was computer nerd lurking out there somewhere! Thanks for making our world so much better. Better get back to your IPO otherwise your wealth might drop by a hundred mil or so.

Perhaps the Obamahdi feels a kinship towards other non-citizens……

  • objectivefactsmatter

I never expected to actually hear from her…this made me laugh out loud. The need to defend her image…

I don’t want to be too overly general, but I think this is characteristic of certain cultures; i.e. the tremendous need to maintain personal pride which is all tangled up with their national identity.

Another person finds out the realities of Obamacare and how the public were deceived! She was stunned about the negative reception, well so are millions of other people!

  • Katie Smith

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that this administration couldn’t find an AMERICAN to use as the face of something that is PAID for BY AMERICANS and ostensibly meant to benefit AMERICANS?

  • BalsterFudd357

I wish her no ill will whatsoever….
She’s smart NOT to sign up.The article states she is not a citizen.
That …in no way implies she is here illegally so lighten up on the hate.
This Administration is more at fault than she!
    …And she is lovely!
