ObamaCare to Create 100,000s of Jobs in the Field of Explaining ObamaCare

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

Democrats always said that ObamaCare would create a lot of jobs and while currently it’s hard at work destroying jobs, especially at the working class level, like most medical centralization boondoggles, ObamaCare will create a lot of jobs in the field of explaining what it is and how to survive it.

Tens of thousands of health care professionals, union workers and community activists hired as “navigators” to help Americans choose Obamacare options starting Oct. 1 could earn $20 an hour or more, according to new regulations issued Wednesday.

It is still not clear how many navigators will be required. California, however, provides a hint. It wants 21,000.

That could be an expensive proposition. The proposed rules, now open for public comment, suggest an estimated pay of $20-$48 an hour.

Who says Obama doesn’t create jobs? If California is the national standard, then we’ve got a good 180,000 jobs here at 20 to 48 bucks an hour. Sure they’re government jobs and come at the expense of working people… but think of all the private sector jobs that will also be created as new medical coders will be required and new accountants will be needed to help people escape all the new taxes for all the navigators guiding the ObamaCare Titanic into the financial iceberg.

The rules allow navigators to come from the ranks of unions, health providers and community action groups such as ACORN and Planned Parenthood. They are required to provide unbiased advice.

They’re also required to teach you how to vote three times. And if you don’t speak English, No Temas, translators are standing by.

“The proposed requirements would also include that such entities and individuals provide consumers with information and assistance in the consumer’s preferred language, at no cost to the consumer, which would include oral interpretation of non-English languages and the translation of written documents in non-English languages when necessary to ensure meaningful access,” said the regulations.

ObamaCare is bad enough in English. I can only begin to imagine its sheer incomprehensibility when it’s translated into Spanish, Arabic, Swahili and Haitian Creole.

But at least with all the navigators and translators and astrogators, we’ll have lots more jobs for Obama’s campaign supporters funded by the people who actually work for a living.

Daniel, this comment is completely off-topic, but I'd like to know what you think about the
topless protests taking place in front of mosques in European capitals.
    From Atlantic Magazine –
Earlier today, members of Ukrainian feminist group Femen staged protests across Europe as they called for a "topless jihad." The demonstrations were in support of a young Tunisian activist named Amina Tyler. Last month, Tyler posted naked images of herself online, with the words "I own my body; it's not the source of anyone's honor" written on her bare chest. The head of Tunisia's "Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice," reportedly called for Tyler to be stoned to death for her putatively obscene actions, lest they lead to an epidemic. Tyler has since gone quiet, leading some to fear for her safety. Below are images from Femen's protests today in Sweden, Italy, Ukraine, Belgium, and France. A warning, nearly every photo depicts nudity, and most contain offensive language. http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2013/04/femen-

I'm against them in general, but in this case their agenda overlaps.

I'd suggest daily dog walks making sure to obey all Western laws and city ordinances. Unless of course they've already outlawed dogs near the sensitive little freaks at the mosques.

I guess I'd link it to the topless protests because the media would bury the story if it was only about dog walking. The dog walkers would get arrested too and that aspect of the story would have more legs.

That's what we've come to. It can only get worse from here until they see who is still the boss. Our "leaders" won't do it so time for the rest of us to defend our civilization.

Some of the slogans displayed on the protesters shirtless bodies are:
    Bare Breast Against Islamism
    Topless Jihad
    Free Amina
    My Body Belongs to Me
    Arab Women Against Islamists
    Freedom for Women
    No Sharia
    No Islamism
    No Masters No Slaves

I love what Amina Tyler wrote on her bare chest –

Leftist mendacity knows no bounds, especially when it comes to destroying the economy. Make no mistake, Obamacare, aka Affordablecare, IS about deconstruction/transformation of the economy and gun control.

Contained within Obamacare are some explosions few have a clue about. And it heads straight back to the "definition" of mentally ill. Mind you, the same leftist crew who refuse to lock up the real mentally ill, on the grounds that it violates their rights, never mind those they target. Circular nonsense.

In any case, don't be fooled by the "jobs", many of which will be payoffs to Obama surrogates – http://adinakutnicki.com/2013/02/18/obamas-march-

He's organizing the community with people loyal to his goals who will be paid to explain how good everything is, as you sit there sick and struggling to see a rationed doctor. I bet these folks will register you to vote if you want too….

Just don't mention your body is yours and no one else's like these topless protesters.

roger that, Roger. Scarey, isn't it.

From everything I've read, this "health" plan is going to crash and burn.

    • DeeDee

Hopefully. The first two changes were great….children added to policies and no pre-established illness making one ineligible. From there, it's all down hill.

  • Rifleman

The dp claims our health care system is inefficient, but how efficient can obamacare be if it requires a whole new 'industry' (if the word can be perverted that much), like tax preparers, to navigate it?

The only jobs the democrat party creates are government, and government related jobs. Just think if all the people doing government compliance jobs were doing something productive.

  • Ar'nun

The interesting thing about this to me, is that I have seen and heard a bunch of commercials from private sector businesses looking to cash in on Obamacare doing the exact same thing. I think it will be interesting to see the Free Market going toe to toe with Big Government on this one and see who people end up trusting for advise more.

I wonder how many copies of that 7'3" monster are in circulation amongst politicians, doctors, and others. I also wonder why tree-hugging environmentalists have not protested the number of felled trees it took to produce the paper that monster is printed on. We haven't heard any environmentalists protesting that "criminal" act, either, not that I've heard. So, Obama and the Democrats didn't lie, this time. They really meant it when they'd guarantee "job growth." They just didn't say in what sector. In this case, it's the parasite sector.

    Buck Farack!

I was just wondering how many people are taking beneficial advantages from Obamacare; as we well aware of the issues that Obamacare fails to attract the localities or Americans to serve a better and beneficial health care system. Every day we have noticed multiple regulations passed under Obamacare but how long these regulations are going to be applicable to serve better health care services.

I suggest everyone work at staying healthy. Never thought I'd live to see the day our country would be so low down…and no-one to pick her up! Our Gov't is doing what Great Britain did in the 1770s….taxation without representation.

  • Dee Dee

Suggest we are stay HEALTHY! Never, in my lifetime, did it ever occur to me that our country would be overtaken by a socialistic Gov't. I'm glad I'm older and won't need to live 50/60 years under this type of "regime"!
