Seriously? You think that animals can feel "trodden on" the way that humans might?

If you're serious, let me know.

Firstly, most humans that feel "trodden upon" by tyrannical politicians feel that way because of their response to reports. Not by direct observation.

That rules out every other animal right there, no matter what your theories are for the emotions of various animals.

So please. Grow up.

400 miles a month means you need to be an extraordinary specimen if you want to hang with the serious cyclists. Those had better be some high quality miles or I wouldn't advise bragging and haranguing with that as your justification.

There is a real CO2 crisis it just isn't what we've been spoon fed.

The recent leveling off of global warming is not evidence against the long term trend of warming.

A more plausible reason that in our high and rising CO2 world "warming" is leveling off has to be the result of a countervailing driver. That CO2 driven counter force is the role CO2 has on enhancing plant growth (not necessarily a good thing) and at the same time reducing plant losses of water to the air.

The warming models all assumed that CO2 would drive slight rises in temperature that would drive large rises in water vapour in the air from evaporation. Given water vapour is the much more potent greenhouse gas compared to CO2 it was/is the expected extra water vapour that would produce the sustained warming that has failed to show up.

Herein lies the blunder of the climate physicists and their models. Just as one would expect the slow pace of CO2 plant changes take decades to be revealed in the global picture. Plants are responsible for more water vapour in the air than is temperature driven evaporation. The plants have dramatically slowed their contribution of water vapour and the warming slows.

Here's a link to more on this...http://russgeorge.net/2013/06/11/why-climate-models-fail/

The good news is that the 500 million ton reduction of CO2 that the coal industry might be asked to accomplish doesn't need to cost billions. Restoring ocean plant life can do that much and far more for mere millions and in the bargain bring back the fish. Here's how it could work http://russgeorge.net/2013/04/28/greenfinger-speaks/

I served on the board of Directors of a National "Environmental" Org. for over 5 years during which time this Global warming scare was dreamed up. the reason for zeroing in on the environment was because it was believed it would be the cause under which they could organize the most people to support their agenda, which was to undermine Capitalism, our government and prove that Capitalism was worse than Communism/Socialism which had just failed in the USSR. Notice how the left is doing everything it can to insure China replaces the USA as the world's leader? I not only do I have a clue, I know for a fact what is behind all these scare tactics.

The US now has more forests than it has had in years. Our lumber industry has been practically shut down for over 30 years. that is the reason most of our building materials are imported. Most of our lumber comes from Canada. If you don't already know it, trees reforest themselves by dropping seeds. When you cut a tree another one usually replaces it. Don't they teach this fact of life in our dumbed down propaganda factories called public schools? Talking about not having a clue!
