Obama’s New Military Discriminates Against Heterosexuals

Under the wise leadership of Barack Hussein Obama, the racist, sexist and homophobic United States of America is continuing to make vital progress in the war on discrimination with more affirmative discrimination. Because the goal of every anti-discrimination movement is to discriminate by gaining special privileges.

The new Obama Army is practicing more affirmative discrimination against male and female couples in favor of homosexual couples.

Outgoing Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has unilaterally issued a directive stating that the U.S. military will now extend certain benefits to unmarried domestic partners that were formerly reserved for married couples—but will only do so if the domestic partners certify in writing to the Department of Defense that they are of the same sex.

Heterosexual unmarried partners do not qualify for the benefits—and thus are treated unequally by Panetta’s directive on the basis of their sexual orientation.

It’s almost like the ingredients for the plot of a wacky 70s sitcom. Discrimination is good when it’s progressive discrimination.

Panetta memorandum included a copy of the “declaration” by which homosexual service members will to attest that they are in what Panetta calls a “committed relationship” with another person of the same-sex. The declaration is specifically for homosexuals and does not make any allowance for people of the opposite sex who are engaged in a heterosexual so-called “committed relationship.”

DOD’s “declaration” states that the “definition” of a “domestic partner” is as follows: “Domestic partner means a person in a domestic partnership with a Service member of the same sex.”

America has gone from a military that excluded homosexuals to one that excludes heterosexuals in less than 5 years.

woooooow. Does this mean they're stopping benefits for married heterosexual couples?

  • LibertarianToo

No. It means that couples who have the legal option of marrying must do so in order to be considered married. Those who cannot legally marry must self-designate as domestic partners if they want the benefits of a married couple. I don't have a problem with it, but then I'm a libertarian.

“Those who cannot legally marry must self-designate as domestic partners if they want the benefits of a married couple.”

Is there any limit to who would be eligible under this definition? A separated, but not yet divorced same sex person, brothers(especially if raised separately), half brothers, 1st cousins etc.

It isn't a definition, it's a designation. The definition might be "sexual partners intending to remain so through life" as opposed to boyfriend / girlfriend du jour, or the relations you enumerate.. Married couples say "I do." "Domestic partners" say "I would if I could." If that seems unfair, we could obviate the whole thing by denying "benefits" to married heterosexual spouses and their offspring . After all, Why should the taxpayer pay for someone's medical care just because their wife is in the army?

Everything that Obama touches, turns to ca-ca!

Why should this surprise anyone? Heterophobic homosexuals themselves "discriminate" against other sexual minorities, like consenting-adult incestuous people and exhibitionists, who are not included in the "rainbow LGBT coalition." Using the "logic" of homosexuals, homosexuals themselves must be incest-phobes and exhibitionist-phobes as well as haters, bigots, etc., etc. Hypocrisy reigns among liberals.

Because of the youth of many in the military, there has been non-sexual same-sex intense relationships throughout history…especially in combat among non-parents.This very nature of military is rocked by the new openly homosexual laws because of the close and intense realtionships needed between same-sex military people.
