Obama’s Proposed State of the Union Spending is Over $1 Trillion

Obama is a genius. If you doubt that, just consider that he has managed to invent an entirely new field of mathematics where numbers work fundamentally differently than they do in our world.
During his State-of-the-Union address, Obama said, “Let me repeat–nothing I’m proposing tonight should increase our deficit by a single dime.”
And it does not increase the deficit by a single dime. It increases it by over a trillion dollars.
Total the costs of just these five wishes from Obama, and you get $1,047,900,000,000—over 1 trillion dollars. Obama has run a deficit over $1 trillion all four years of his first term in office, and he has not proposed a budget which will cut spending—only ones that reduce the rate of future spending growth.
Like Clinton, Obama didn’t lie. He did not increase the budget by a dime. Just by 10 trillion dimes. And at a manufacturing cost of 5 cents a dime, it will cost us 500 billion dollars just to make all the dimes that Obama wants to spend.
But that’s silly, of course. No one makes money anymore. We just move imaginary numbers around and sue credit ratings agencies when they point out that we’re going down the road that leads from Greece to Zimbabwe. And those imaginary numbers allow us to spend huge amounts of money without actually getting anything done.
Four years after all those shovel-ready projects, all our bridges are apparently still falling down, our kids are stupid and our energy is unclean.
But surely adding another 10 trillion dimes to the deficit will fix all that.
