They had no where else to go but the Sahara, they failed in Iraq and Afghanistan, can't take over Yemen, got a bloody nose in Somalia last year, the FATA is way hot so you have seen them move deeper into Pakistan. Yeah Libya they got weapons, but it has taken them much time to build up a force structure, domestic in Mali, regional and international fighters into the AO. They had the weapons but no the meat. If anything Qaddafi falling has limited recruitment, if you were against the regime then al-Qaida was the only opposition. I would rather fight them in the desert, than in urban areas of Iraq or in the villages of Afghanistan. They think fighting the Sahara is to their advantage, I think it is to mine. You get them out of the population centers clear and hold, target there strongholds, then it is long range desert patrols, hit and run. You see the French bringing in a lot of snipers. It is like hunting for food, morning or night the waterhole, these chaps the wells and oasis.

The ensuing chaos is a direct result of Obama's thrust on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood Mafia. There is more than enough evidence to choke a horse.
The fact that the Repubs failed to offer their own push back, to his adventures in Libya, proves they too are worthless and toothless.
In any case, the results are manifest - <a href="http://adinakutnicki.com/2013/01/12/benghazigates-indictment-of-an-islamist-in-chief-supported-by-retired-four-star-admiral-other-heavyweights-too-commentary-by-adina-kutnicki/" rel="nofollow">http://adinakutnicki.com/2013/01/12/benghazigates...</a>

It is no accident that most of the advanced weaponry, used by Al Qaeda, came from Libya's stockpile, a stockpile let loose after the POTUS "led from behind". And so much more.

"The unConstitutional and illegal Libya campaign has handed North Africa over to Al Qaeda. My only disagreement with this article is that the lunacy was bipartisan. He these people want to do the same in Syria."

But those are "vital US security interests" to spread sharia. That will be his defense and he'll probably have a sharia judge if he ever has to answer to anyone at all.

"Personally I don't consider any war "illegal" but it was certainly ill-advised."

As Americans we don't worry about sharia (well, most of us don't) or Libyan law, or so-called "International law" except as theory or when we have treaties. But the war with Libya was a case of 0'Bama violating US law, and the victims are US citizens with respect to those laws. It was another of the thousand little steps towards complete tyranny.

"Obama's War? The US was far from taking the lead on Libya, and Obama was heavily criticized for "leading from behind". As I recall, several Republicans (Sen, McCain comes to mind) were aghast that the US didn't immediately intervene with its own troops and criticized Obama for "leading from behind". To now turn aound and call this "Obama's War" just shows the author's main concern, which is to attack Obama at all times with no particular concern for the actual facts."

Leading from behind means latency, not lack of firepower. We made the difference, we just didn't lead strategically. Well, not a strategy in the interests of liberal democracy anyway.

You simply don't understand the criticism. You don't engage in discourse, you just fly off assuming it's personal against 0'Bama. It's not personal. He's a traitor and a nuisance because he was elected as president of the United States and this job is far beyond the capabilities of most people, 0'Bama included even if he didn't lie about his loyalties and ideologies that are in direct conflict with US interests and the interests of free and oppressed people worldwide. You just need to read the text of his speeches to see what kind of deadly nuisance he is.

Get over your little crush please. The security of the world is as stake and you're worried about silly fictions.
