Palm Beach Democratic Party Vice Chair Demands Students Step on “Jesus”

Dr. Deandre Poole, DDS, HMS, PDF, GED, MPG

You probably already read the story about Dr. Deandre Poole demanding that students step on a piece of paper with the word “Jesus” on it and a Mormon student being suspended for refusing to do it.

You may already know that Dr. Deandre Poole built his academic credentials on a doctoral dissertation entitled: The Historic Presidential Campaign of 2008: A Content Analysis of Selected News Magazines Portrayal of Senator Barack Obama as a Mythical Hero in His Bid for the Presidency of the United States and that he’s turning that into a book titled Obamamania: The Rise of a Mythical Hero.

But what you may not know is that aside from his teaching gig, Dr. Deandre Poole  is the Vice Chair of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party.

Currently, Dr. Poole serves as a precinct captain for Precinct 7021 in West Palm Beach, as a club officer for the Together We Stand Democratic Club, and a member of the West Palm Beach Democratic Club. His political activities involve community empowerment, and working with community leaders and elected officials to insure the needs of all people.

In April 2011, Dr. Poole was appointed to the position of Recording Secretary for the Palm Beach County Democratic Executive Committee.

Dr. Deandre Poole has represented the PBCDP at public events before. So the question is will the Palm Beach County Democratic Party continue to allow a bigot to serve as its public face?

And if Dr. Deandre Poole, FAU, Howard, had asked students to step on a piece of paper with the word “Mohammed” on it, how long would it take before every single educational and political institution he was ever affiliated with apologized for his existence and threw him out?

And isn’t that de facto theocracy?

Any chance we can find out if this "professor" is a believer in the religion of peace?

    • Mary Sue

if not he is clearly at least sympathetic to it.

I'd bet he was a flat out atheist however.

It seems to me whenever a President (past) that the 2 parties would come together and iron out their plans. This President has never done that. I read everything I can on Obama and not once has told the facts. He's an Habitual Liar.It will be a happy day when he's gone. Everyone should party, like it's the 4th of July.

Haha! He doesn't even have the sense to know that if you post a picture of yourself holding a child it shouldn't be the photo where the child is screaming and trying to get away from you!!

      That douchebag attends Church?

      • defcon 4

        Bizarre.

      • Mary Sue

Most likely a "Church" that is swimming in Liberation Theology, which has 3/4 of f___-all to do with Jesus and the Gospel. It's all marxist claptrap masquerading as religion.

        • Leon T.

          Yes a state approved one

    • Debbie

Thanks for these addresses, hope they get flooded.

Like some of the other comments listed, I would have liked to have seen what would happen to someone that would write “Mohammed” on a piece of paper and require the same thing from their students. Poof the magic dragon. I am glad that I finally saw a picture of this person because I thought all along it was a female with a name like Deandre. Oh well that may answer why he brought this little exercise up, he is still mad being called by a girls name.

Isn't it great having a moron as a professor? Another idiot promoted by the PC agenda.

  • Mose

I would bet my next check, now for only 28 hours instead of full time since I've been downsized due to Obamacare, that the good professor would never agree to this change in his lesson synopsis:

“Have the students write the name OBAMA in big letters on a piece of paper,” the lesson reads. “Ask the students to stand up and put the paper on the floor in front of them with the name facing up. Ask the students to think about it for a moment. After a brief period of silence instruct them to step on the paper. Most will hesitate. Ask why they can’t step on the paper. Discuss the importance of symbols in culture.”

  • Peter

Another community activist? A democrat? A hater of a religion? ( this next one is going to get me in trouble for saying this). A person of color?
Just sign him up to go after the office of the president.
    Where was he born?

  • Toni_Pereira

I thought he was one of those idiots who read "The God delusion" and found dick dawkins the most important western philosopher since Charlie Chaplin, but the analogy between Jesus and the current POTUS is just weird. I hope that he demands his students to wipe their buts with a paper with the word "O'bama" written on it…

    It's lawsuit time.

Oh yes let's involve lawyers..those delicate flowers blossoming intellectual jewel-like dews of legal precedent

"Oh yes let's involve lawyers..those delicate flowers blossoming intellectual jewel-like dews of legal precedent"

Lawyers must act in accordance with the interests of their clients. If the client is interested in justice there is nothing wrong with using the courts. This seems like a perfect case to start defending Christians and their fundamental rights. This is tyranny we're seeing.

The only question is whether he'd live long enough to make that apology.

    You know what?

    Hey Virginia?, ain't supposing he's a CHRISTian.

    I'm just guessin…

    • Mary Sue

most likely so immersed in Liberal Theology that genuine christianity is but a phantom he may have never really encountered.

  • JacksonPearson

Mocking God or Jesus have unintended consequences…Just ask Beatles star John Lenin, that's if you can get him to talk!

    • Concerned Citizen

If he keeps doing idiotic things like this, he'll get to meet Lennon sooner than he wants to. Karma Baby!

  • Ron

How many other students were in the class?

Why was it that only one student objected?

What faithgroups did those who comply with the idiot professor's directive belong?

  • WLK

How about Martin Luther King's name. The most influential man in the last 100 years. Someone both white and black people look up to as a man with a dream.

  • ladykroft

Has anyone checked into his religious affiliation?? Bet he's a muslim.

  • Yo Mama

You will burn in hell, professor Poole.
