Pushing Nationalized Health Care, Gay Marriage and Terror Appeasement Just Like Reagan, Says Meathead

Rob Reiner, aka Meathead, and the director of such recent hits as The Magic of Belle Isle and Flipped, is always eager to comment on politics. A few years ago he compared the Tea Party to Hitler, saying, “My fear is that the Tea Party gets a charismatic leader, because all they’re selling is fear and anger and that’s all Hitler sold.”
Now Meathead is back on Real Time with more sparkling gems of wisdom claiming that the Democratic Party moved to the middle and “Obama right now, where Obama is is right around where Reagan was”.
And if Obama/Reagan doesn’t move you. What about Obama/Dole?
“Obama’s right around where Bob Dole is. They’re very similar, you know? There’s not much of a difference there.”
I can’t tell the difference between Bob Dole and Barack Obama either.
We all know Bob Dole was the son of a single mother and a polygamous Muslim father, that Bob Dole was trained to be a community organizer in Chicago and that he campaigned for president on a platform of forcing people to buy health insurance, legalizing illegal aliens and destroying America as a world power.
Coincidentally that was also Reagan’s platform.
Who can forget the time Reagan’s mentor was caught screaming “God Damn America” after Pearl Harbor or how Reagan responded by giving a speech about his racist white grandma.
And who can forget the time that Reagan decided to give a bunch of Black Panthers a pass on voter intimidation charges?
But I think we can still find some common ground with Meathead.
“Obama is is right around where… Nixon was.”
