Puppet Regime: US Spent $1.18 Mil on Puppets Under Obama

Don’t worry, that’s still only a tiny percent of the money that Obama spent in those years. It just happens to be that Obama Inc. spent more on puppets in one year than 99 percent of the country earns.

And that’s where the real 1 percent comes in. The percent is D.C. It’s the government.

Naturally no puppet spending would be complete without a research grant into puppets.

In 2010, the taxpayer-funded National Science Foundation awarded the University of Central Florida a $199,754 research grant for “Efficient Control and Transmission of Digital Puppetry.”

The purpose of this project is to improve the quality of experiences that can be provided by the puppeteering paradigm (more varied behaviors, enhanced quality of service, reduced latency), while simultaneously reducing the barrier to entry (cost and complexity of set-up, cognitive load on puppeteer, need for extensive training).

Just imagine back in the dark ages when the golden age of puppetry was upon us, puppeteers learned how to stage Punch and Judy shows without any research grants. But these days we spend more money on puppet research than we do on actual puppets.

In 2009, tax dollars also funded research involving “puppet choreography and automated marionettes” at Northwestern University to the tune of $358,410

But much as I would like to see some research on the puppeteering paradigm as applied to Obama and Soros, not to mention animated marionettes who are controlled by teleprompters, one day future historians looking back on the fall of civilization will glance over these figures and nod.

It was inevitable.
