Saudi Students in US Increased 500% Since September 11

If there were some kind of award for completely failing to grasp the lessons of September 11, this would have to qualify. Back in January, Obama trashed most of the remaining post-9/11 restrictions on Saudi visitors to the United States. But the problem largely predates him.

The number of Saudi students in the US increased 500% since September 11. This means big business for American schools, including flight schools, and for security contractors who get to profit from prepping the next response to a terrorist attack.

The number of Saudi Arabian students in the United States has increased by more than 500 percent since Sept. 11, 2001–when Hani Hanjour, a Saudi national who came here on a student visa flew American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon, killing 189 people.

According to the Institute of International Education–whose numbers on foreign students in the United States are used in official reports published by the U.S. Department of Education–there were 5,579 Saudi nationals enrolled in U.S. institutions of higher education in the 2001-2002 school year. The Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks took place near the beginning of that school year.

In the 2011-2012 school year, the most recent year for which data are available, there were 34,139 Saudi nationals enrolled in institutions of higher education in the United States.

The 34,139 Saudi Arabian students in the United States for the 2011-2012 school year was more than the total of 30,256 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the University of Connecticut this school year.

From the 2001-2002 school year to the 2011-2012 school year, the number of Saudi nationals enrolled in U.S. institutions of higher education increased by 28,560.

That is an increase of more than 500 percent.

Those Saudi nationals don’t just buy diplomas, they also buy academic influence, leaving behind academic chairs and scholarships and institutes that are then used to brainwash the next generation and move academia closer to the Saudi position. This has been going on for a while and as American colleges gets deeper into debt, they become more dependent on Saudi students and Saudi money and our national discourse becomes more vulnerable to the influence of the Saudi lobby.

Jizya tax is just as sweet what ever we call it on this end.
And the islamic world still hates us all the more for it.

Add, that there isn't one Christian church, or one Jewish synagogue to be found in Saudi Arabis…notta one!

Just like there is no single Mosque or even a Muslim allowed in Vatican City.

            Vatican city allows muslim tourists.

Saudi Arabia doesn't allow a Jewish tourist.

And the Vatican city is a big church.

Both parties are directly responsible for Al Qaeda's infiltration via "student" visas. In fact, many of these "students" become part and parcel of MSA "clubs" all over the US. Other students have to jump through hoops to attend some of the most elite universities. Saudis (and other foreign elements) – not so much.

IF patriots are serious about stemming the tide, perhaps pressuring your local university to close down their MSA's is a good place to start. Make it contingent upon your child's entrance – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/08/15/the-muslim-st

    WAKE UP AMERICA:
All Muslims seem to be at peace with the calls for violence, and murder, found in the Qur'an!

    • Mary

"calls for violence" this kind of judgment that drives them crazy not the Quran itself! Its just not acceptable that someone makes judgment about something that he never ever read properly.

First of all, I am SAUDI, and I am a student in the US. Let me point out first that in the past 6 years almost 100,000 people have been murdered in the US. This averages 16,000 per year. That's you guys killing each others. Another stats may interest you, you are 17,600 times more likely to die from heart disease, 12,571 times from cancer, 11,000 times in an airplane accident, 1048 times from a car accident than from a terrorist attack. So why are people so afraid of the terrorists? Because your media says you should! WE DON'T HATE AMERICANS. We are just normal society, and every society has some freak stupid people who bring bad reputation. But it is just too wrong to stereotype us as if we are all like that because we hate terrorists more than you do. They're harming us more than they're harming you. We do not have good opportunities for education in my country, that's why we are here.

"Add, that there isn't one Christian church, or one Jewish synagogue to be found in Saudi Arabis…notta one!"

Let me ask you something, Do you like all the rules in the US? This is the rule in my country, and it does not reflect what the people think or want. We CAN'T VOTE for anything in Saudi so don't blame the people for something that their government chose.

"All Muslims seem to be at peace with the calls for violence, and murder, found in the Qur'an"

So did you read the Qur'an yourself and found out that? First, you CANNOT understand the Qur'an if you can't speak Arabic. So if you read the English version it would look meaningless. But let me summarize to you the one sentence in Qur'an that says fight nonbelievers. It says that if the nonbelievers are killing you, in Mecca (the holy city in Islam), and they are trying to kick you out of it, then fight them back, but if you can avoid killing, then do. So it is so specific situation, only if the nonbelievers are killing the Muslims in Mecca! which is to me is just self defense than killing.

So now some will say what about all of these people who kill in the name of god and Islam. My friends, killing has no religion. If a christian kills someone, that is because he is a killer, not because he is Christian. If a Jewish raped someone, it is because he is a rapist, not because he is a Jewish. All religions came with a message of piece. Be rational, think before you judge people.
