The most utterly disrespectful lying POS POTUS I've ever seen and most likely to ever see again.

The only so called leader of the free world to bow down to the king of terrorists and side with the most savage of all savages. But then again, you wouldn't expect anything less from a Sunni Muslime Usurper.

And don't get me started on the domestic side. From one economic disaster to another, he's spending/wasting money the country doesn't have. One can be sure it's going to be felt for decades to come by future generations.

Again, one must parse things a little finer than "The Saudis". I know of no evidence that the Saudi REGIME does not fund these guys any more than the Quakers do. But some very wealthy folks who are probably at the second-tier of the regime's ranks (saudi princes and oil barons) evidently do, to the tune of millions. It's a bit like Pakistan. The Army there isn't "for" the militants, per se, but there are a lot of high-ranking officials in the army who are, and who haven't been purged. It is a mystery to me, in both cases. They are very good reasons to seriously distrust both regimes, but also very good reasons not to simply move into full enmity mode. But in both cases these alone are very good reasons NOT to consider either regime to be "friends", though there is some necessity to cooperate with them in international policies. Thus, allies.

It is interesting you mention Prince Bandar. You do realise that he recently threatened Russia over Syria by stating that it is Saudi Arabia who controls the Chechen Al Qaeda. Disgusting stuff. Look for fireworks at the Sochi Winter Games as a result.

Saudi Arabia is playing both sides of this War. Pretending to be the US's friend and restricting dangerous imams internally, while also sowing Wahabbism and Al Qaeda around the Globe. Part of that is the risk the Saudi family will be removed by Islamists if they do not advance the cause of Islam (as is mandated by Sharia; rulers must be removed if they oppose Islamism). However, sponsoring Al Qaeda in Russia goes way beyond that.

Otherwise, your post was very informative. Thanks for posting.

The distinction is important. One needn't be "friendly" toward a nation in order to have a working international alliance. Conversely, one needn't be hostile toward those who are strategic enemies. And one must also distinguish between the people and the regime. The Iranian regime is one of our top 3 most significant enemies. But by and large the Iranian people -- the rank and file -- regard themselves as friends of the West. When Obama supported the regime over the people during the Green Revolution that was a great betrayal. Iranians I know are now deeply suspicious of the Americans.
