He must be the bestest business man EVER!
The US has entered into a contract with a real estate firm to sell 56
buildings that currently house U.S. Post Offices. The government has
decided it no longer needs these buildings, most of which are located on
prime land in towns and cities across the country. The sale of these
properties will fetch about $19 billion.
A regular real estate commission will be paid to the company that was
given the exclusive listing for handling the sales. That company is CRI
and it belongs to a man named Richard Blum.
Richard Blum is the husband of Senator Dianne Feinstein. (Most voters and
many of the government people who approved the deal have not made the
connection between the two because they have different last names).

Do the math. The bid was 9.1% below the next bid. 10% is usually considered to be a "bad bid". 9% is a nice number for people who "get it".

Someone phoned in the number to someone. Regardless of the reason, it's fraud. If you don't want a foreign company to bid, then say so. Don't rig the bid. It costs a lot of money to put a bid together of this size and scope.

And who is going to question, let alone deny change orders from Dianne Feinstein's husbands company? Talk about a career ender.

I'd like to see the person who managed the bidding process put under oath and questioned about the legality of this bid. That's a 5th worth taking.

I don't understand how you call this "corruption". It just proves that people are looking for things to be mad about. Voters already approved the project. It WILL be built. And you are mad that they went with the lowest bidder? What do you want them to do, give the job to the highest bidder and waste more money? If you are mad at anyone be mad at the voters who approved the project in the first place, not the fact that the lowest bidder happens to be affiliated with a relative of a politician in the state where the project happens to be built.

Daniel, I really want to believe your article as I have long suspected this, and although I know Blum was at one time a 75% owner and seemingly bailed them out of near bankruptcy (favors anybody?), I have been unable to find evidence that Richard Blum is currently a shareholder in Tutor-Perini. I have long suspected that DiFi was operating in her own best interest when it came to this project despite her previous claims of having a 'firewall' between her and her husband's businesses. Given how conspicuously silent she has been regarding the issues surrounding this project, I could only reach one conclusion, and now it seems my instincts have been correct. That said, can you point me to where you find proof of Blum's direct ownership. You and I know, that even if he temporarily stepped aside, we've got nothing on these weasels. I really want to see this blow up in DiFi's face, so your help is appreciated.

...because the last law we had governing that worked so well, right?

When are you "there ought to be a law" people going to get it through your heads that laws are not the problem? They certainly aren't the solution.

Do yourself a favor and remove that phrase from your lexicon and your mind. It does nothing except lead you down blind alleys.
