Senator Graham: “The Only Way We Can Get Back in Good Graces with the Hispanic Community is Amnesty”

The GOP is dying. The only way to save it is to make it completely unelectable. Apparently that’s the plan that a top 8 Ganger has.

Senator Lindsey Graham is more optimistic than many of his Senate colleagues over comprehensive immigration reform.

When asked about the next presidential election, Graham said “it doesn’t matter who you run in 2016″ if House and Senate Republicans don’t pass immigration reform. “We’re in a demographic death spiral as a party, and the only way we can get back in good graces with the Hispanic community, in my view, is pass comprehensive immigration reform,” he explained.

How did that work out for Bush Sr? For that matter how is passing amnesty, whose public face will be Obama, going to help Republicans win in 2016 with the sort of low information Latino voters that Dems have gotten better at organizing?

Rick Santorum pointed out that Republicans needed to be more competitive with below 50K voters. Instead Republicans are alienating many of those voters in the hopes of scoring points with voters who aren’t going to vote for them anyway.

As for the demographic death spiral, “while the average age of self-described Democrats has risen since 2008 – from 46.9 to 47.7 – Democrats continue to be younger than Republicans on average (47.7 vs. 49.7).”

Any gap is not good, but 47.7 vs. 49.7 is not a demographic death spiral except on network television. Add on amnesty though and it might be.

  • Gee

The GOP leadership is even dumber than the Democrats.

The GOP is dying because of leaders like Graham who thinks the only way to succeed is to emulate what the other side is doing. A Strom Thurmond he ain’t! . He is a disgrace to the memory of Thurmond who stood by his convictions and didn’t give in to the radical psychological assault which is used to control our country. . Most of the student radicals from the 60s peace and civil right movements stayed in College (so they could remain student activists) and got PhDs in Psychology. They are masters at manipulating people and people’s attitudes. Just look at how they have gotten control of the American people using the battered spouse syndrome in which the victims is convinced he is responsible for everything bad that happens because if he hadn’t done this, or had done that, or tried harder, this terrible thing shouldn’t have happened to him. How many times have we been told it is our fault other peoples hate us because of our foreign policy, our greed, our superior attitude, because we didn’t’ give enough etc. etc etc. That’s how wife beaters control their wives. So Dhemi Graham, wants us to bend over and take whatever punishment that is coming because we deserve it. It’s time to replace idiot traitors like him and elect people who vote the way we would if we were there doing the voting.

How do husband beaters control their husbands? I’m just curious, seeing as how women are demonstrably and proved more abusive than men. And I hate clichés.

      • Rocky Mountain

I don’t think so but yes, there are women who are abusers.

      • MarilynA

Ziggy baby, men are bigger and stronger than women. If a man is such a wimp that he would let a woman beat him up, he isn’t much of a man.

As was pointed out by Steve Sailer, the Hispanic voting block has been shrinking for the last 3 elections – only 48% of eligible Hispanic voters made the effort to vote, whereas 64+% of the blacks did and 62+% of the whites. Need to concentrate on getting more whites out to vote and convince black Americans that the republicans are not trying to take the vote from them. I think if you surveyed American born Hispanics you would find as many do not support the current immigration bill as those that do.

Republicans are worthless and weak. Just rescind the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and get it over with, you stupid pu$$ies. Why wait for demographics to expand Mexican territory? It’s never too late to learn Spanish and enter a career in dishwashing or lawn maintenance. !Viva La Reconquista cabrones!

  • edgineer

The leadership of the Republican Party has to change. Cruz is the best hope. Boehner, McConnell, McCain, Graham and Rubio are all cretins and RINOs.

  • 8ball

Mexican-Americans vote Democrat. Amnesty and this flauting of the rule of law will cause the GOP to lose more of their base than they could possibly make up with support from Mexican-Americans. It’s hard to understand why Goober and Rubio don’t know this. It’s hard not to dismiss them as idjits.

There seems to be growing Black opposition to “immigration reform.” If Republicans stand firm against Amnesty, they have a good chance of attracting more Black votes.

Sen. Graham just as most of his colleagues he is confused by the issue. He should know that most Hispanics are socialist at heart, and it is a natural fit for the communist/progressives Democrats. Furthermore, the majority in this nation is still Caucasian and Republicans can’t seem to attract this group in meaningful numbers, so they have a problem of leadership and delivery of message. Before RINO’s such as Graham start spinning their wheels on a QUIXOTIC quest, maybe Republicans need to focus on explaining Capitalism and free markets to the low information voter of all races. Maybe they should explain what the loss of moral values has done to the American family, and the national culture.
