War in Syria is a Go – Obama Asks Pentagon for No Fly Zone Plans

Obama-Anti-war-Rally

I distinctly remember Obama babbling something about nation building at home instead of abroad during the last debate. And declaring in his latest speech that we must let the terrorists go because perpetual war is bad. And here he is preparing for a war in Syria.

A No Fly Zone sounds like it’s not a war, which is why Obama exploited a No Fly Zone to invade and implement regime change in Libya. Based on Libya, Obama’s version of a No Fly Zone has little in common with the Bush era No Fly Zone, since it’s an open ended excuse for bombing anything and anyone, anywhere.

The No Fly Zone plans request could be read as a bluff ahead of the negotiations, but considering Obama’s record in Syria, it should be assumed that he is planning to take the United States into a Syrian war for the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda.

The White House has asked the Pentagon to draw up plans for a no-fly zone inside Syria that would be enforced by the U.S. and other countries such as France and Great Britain, two administration officials told The Daily Beast.

The Pentagon is sort of denying these reports, but the denial has plenty of loopholes in them. And Obama Inc. has said earlier that a No Fly Zone is an option and there are reports that such plans had been drawn up.

As I have said before, the trigger for intervention in Syria will be the same one as in Libya. Officially there will be handwringing over atrocities and human rights violations, but that is just propaganda, the real trigger will be the rebels facing defeat. And the Sunni militias have been falling back somewhat. It may not be enough to trigger intervention, but it may be enough to move intervention plans forward.

The problem for Barack Hussein Obama is that there is no way he’s going to run this play on the UN Security Council a second time. Everyone there knows that when a Nobel Peace Prize winner talks about a No Fly Zone, he means an invasion for regime change. Which means Obama is going to have turn pieces of NATO into a Bush style Coalition of the Willing. And he’s going to have to do it next door to Iraq.

The irony alone is almost deadlier than the bombs.

Imagine if we had destroyed the nazis, then handed the
country right back to them. This is what Iraq and Afghanistan
amount to without rights respecting governments.

MacArthur would have take washington, and dealt appropriately with
    those concerned.

If we had the right to tell the Japanese and the Germans what to do
after winning a war against them, why not now?

    Oh yeah, leftism.

If we are not fighting for human rights we are truly lost.
There must be some who understand this.

Oops, that was a THUMBS UP!!

Uh, but Guest? We obliterated the Nazis and Japan. We won those wars. We have not won the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and never had a chance to win them. We don't even know how to define "win" in those countries.

      So, terrible analogy.

Let's face facts, we have a Pyromaniac-in-Chief getting into the fray – again, leading from behind – as he set the stage for the civil war via Benghazigate, and now his Sunni Brotherhood Mafia/Al Qaeda, at war with Iranian proxies, is dragging the region into the depths of hell – http://adinakutnicki.com/2013/05/22/israels-north

Battening down the hatches….and "no fly" is part of Samantha Powers's R2P…used as a cover for Benghazigate!

What I'd like to know is what would Putin be doing with this NFZ? Is BHO actually going against him? And does a NFZ mean that Israel's hands are tied in neutralizing WMDs?

    • Indioviejo

2 good questions. I believe Israel should do what needs to be done for its survival. Remember, Obama HATES Israel and is there to facilitate the ascension of the Muslim Brotherhood. Maybe it is time for Israel to talk to Putin about these matters, because it may get a more favorable response.

And what happens when Russian manned anti-aircraft missile batteries shoot down US planes? Nothing, that's what.

The people who elected Obama have no clue about foreign policy, the Middle East, American interest, nor anything else, for that matter. But the grown-ups in the Democrat Party do, and it is all anti-American.

Josh Rogin from the Daily Beast is using an old journalistic trick to attract eyeballs. i.e. He is lying. In today’s media landscape spin, opinion, obfuscation and untruths line the shore like flotsam and jetsam. What did William Tecumseh Sherman have to say about journalists ?

Syria is a vital piece of the Middle East jigsaw puzzle. It must be stabilized. Outside military intervention or a no fly zone are not good options. The proposed international peace conference has merit. Getting as many of the players to sit in a room together will not guarantee success but it will increase the chances of a shift in the dynamic. When a situation looks hopeless it is very important to try and develop a vision of a better future. The good people of Syria deserve a decent life.

Danny, Danny, Danny! You sad, beady-eyed little hack. You're not even trying that hard any more, are you (not that you really need to, given your average reader)?

Actually, as you know, the Pentagon has contingency plans for invading Long Island, let alone setting up a No Fly Zone over Syria. They've got platoons of generals working overtime every day on war games in the Middle East. That's a big part of their job.

It was – as is always the case in these instances – a strategic decision to announce that such plans are "being drawn up," part of the diplomatic/PR gamesmanship we're involved in. That HARDLY means that war in Syria is a Go.

    Duuuh.

Of course you know all this, but you've dedicated your life to lying. Literally, you get paid to publically lie, in writing. Your rabbi and parents must be so ashamed of you.
