It's nice to be reminded that the dp can be as blatantly hypocritical as they want and chuck todd will still have his presidential kneepads on, along with the rest of the msm.
I see the leftists that comment on Frontpage haven't worked up the nerve comment on this. It will be hilarious fun if they do try to 'splain it.
This is also something else to remember when the paulistas try to run their bs about the democrats being no different than the Repulicans.

He is an arrogant POS!
Congress is full of worthless hacks whose only concern is getting re-elected.
By the way, does it occur to people that the chemical weapons being used are those WMDs that didn't exist in Iraq? Hm.
Interesting, don't you think, being that they never existed and all...?

No doubt there is much truth in this explanation for Obama's arrogant dismissal of Congress, but there is also an ideological aspect, where Obama supplants one of the three branches of our constitutional government with the UN. He is seeking approval from the UN, but could care less about Congress.
By giving the UN the power Congress has traditionally had, Obama is neutering Congress and making the UN a supervisory branch of our government. This is essentially forfeiting US sovereingty, yet again.

THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION'S DOUBLE STANDARD

We Still Have a Choice on Iraq
Senator John Kerry, D-Mass.
New York Times
September 6, 2002

" ....For the sake of our country, the legitimacy of our cause and our ultimate success in Iraq, the administration must seek advice and approval from Congress, laying out the evidence and making the case. Then, in concert with our allies, it must seek full enforcement of the existing cease-fire agreement from the United Nations Security Council. We should at the same time offer a clear ultimatum to Iraq before the world: Accept rigorous inspections without negotiation or compromise. ...."

THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION'S DOUBLE STANDARD

Video: Biden Threatening to Impeach President (Bush) If He Launches an Attack Without Congressional Authority
27 Aug 2013

Biden: I was chairman of the judiciary committee for 17 years or its ranking member. I teach separation of powers and constitutional law. This is something I know. So I got together and brought a group of constitutional scholars together to write a piece that I'm going to deliver to the whole United State Senate pointing out the President (Bush) has no constitutional authority...to take this nation to war against a county of 70 million people unless we're attacked or unless there is proof we are about to be attacked. And if he does, if he does, I would move to impeach him. The House obviously has to do that but I would lead an effort to impeach him."

US prepares to bypass UN on Syria response
Published August 28, 2013

In blunt terms, department spokeswoman Marie Harf said last-ditch efforts to win support for an anti-Assad resolution at the U.N. were unsuccessful, and the U.S. would proceed anyway.

“We see no avenue forward given continued Russian opposition to any meaningful council action on Syria,” she said. “Therefore, the United States will continue its consultations and will take appropriate actions to respond in the days ahead.”
