Will Amnesty for Illegal Aliens Make America the World’s Fattest Country?

The United States no longer holds the title of the world’s most populous, obese nation; that designation has been passed on to Mexico.
According to a new report from the United Nations, nearly 70 percent of Mexican adults are overweight, and childhood obesity in the country has tripled within the past decade, Medical Daily reported. One-third of Mexican teenagers are also obese, and experts believe that four out of every five obese children will remain overweight for the rest of their lives.
Overall, 32.8 percent of Mexican adults are considered obese, compared to 31.8 percent of adults in the United States. Nearly 70,000 deaths in Mexico each year are caused by weight-related diabetes, and more than 400,000 new cases of diabetes are diagnosed annually.
Amnesty and more immigration from Mexico could give us a good chance of reclaiming the WORLD’S FATTEST TITLE. Who says diversity isn’t good for anything?
Speaking of “obesity”, the greatest civil rights issue of our time, it’s a heavily minority issue. Just ask Obama’s Office of Minority Health. (Yes there is one, it’s not a joke.)
Obesity skews toward the minority side of the dial. All those “Fat American” jokes are really racist jokes.
Among Mexican American women, 78 percent are overweight or obese, as compared to only 60.3 percent of the non-Hispanic White women.
In 2010, Hispanic Americans were 1.2 times as likely to be obese than Non-Hispanic Whites.
In 2009 – 2010 Mexican American children were 1.6 times more likely to be overweight as Non- Hispanic White Children.
To what extent does immigration feed America’s obesity stats? It’s an interesting question. And Texas risks not only becoming majority Latino, but really fat.
There is a public health crisis threatening the future of Texas. As Latinos become a majority in the state over the next 20 years, their weight problems are threatening their lives and the state’s budget.
A third of Texans are already obese. But the problem is acute among Latinos. State demographer Lloyd Potter at the University of Texas at San Antonio is projecting that the number of obese Latino Texans will grow from about 2 million in 2010 to 9 million by 2040. He projects diabetes will afflict 8 million Texans that year, including 5 million Hispanic Texans.
Now that Rick Perry is dropping out, maybe Bloomberg can run for Governor of Texas.
