A well deserved slap across the face.
    Well done sir.

  • shmo123

Well put. Now, will there be a vote to impeach? Not bloody likely.

  • SoCalMike

Couldn’t have said it better or more succinctly.

  • glennd1

I just hope every feral, drooling right wing lunatic on this thread realizes just as damning a speech could be given about every president we’ve ever had, some much worse – from Bush back to George Washington. Pardon me if I find this slob’s moral posturing worthy of upchucking – even if he’s right. This kind of upping the ante on the rhetoric day in and day out doesn’t serve our national dialog. It was destructive to this country when it went on during the Bush administration and it’s destructive now.

Okay, pile on me now. Fyi, I’m no leftist but increasingly, the right wing is just launching itself beyond the pale of any reasoned discourse. Just sayin’…

    • nomoretraitors

Why haven’t your joined your fellow communists in Moscow? I hear the weather is great there. Maybe you and Vlad could share a bottle of vodka in his dacha

      • glennd1

I know it’s hard for you to conceive of criticism of right wingers coming from people who aren’t communists or leftists, but it’s true, there are many of us who are sick of this preening ignorance passing as wisdom. I’ve voted republican my whole life, fyi.

Let me just take one of his accusations, on the “Fast and Furious” debacle. Do you realize that this is no scandal at all? Have you read the Fortune article on this? It was a great, fact based description filled with testimony by the agent in charge of the investigation showing that this was an ordinary tactic. LE observes contraband being sold and tries to track it down, and they even do sell contraband sometimes. In the F&F case, only a few weapons were sold by the Feds, the vast majority were purchases that were being observed and tracked. The truth is that the gun laws in Arizona make it very difficult to prosecute “straw purchases”. But drooling right wing nuts turn this into the govt selling guns to the Mexican cartels. One other fact. The ballistics on the bullet that killed the agent are not tracked back to any guns sold in F&F, fyi.

When right wing madmen use this as the basis of criticism so thoughtlessly, they lose credibility. There are very real criticisms of the Obama admin that should be made, but this ape of a congressmen is instead just repeating talking points to get TV time and raise money from angry right wingers.

Before any of you respond, go read the F&F article on Fortune and tell me how many of you actually know the facts on F&F presented there. I dare any of you to start dealing with the truth…

        • nomoretraitors

Truth is the Obama “administration” lost track of many of the weapons sent across the border (one of which was found at the scene of the fatal shooting of border patrol agent Brian Terry) and Holder stonewalled Congress to the point of being held in contempt. He also lied about not knowing about the operation until much later (the same way he lied about the potential prosecution of Fox News reporter James Rosen). If there’s nothing to hide, why hide behind “executive privilige?” Especially since Obama promised his would be the “most transparent administration in history.”

          • glennd1

Holder did do his usual arrogant stiff arm on this, but in this case the Republicans went way over the top. Fast and Furious is not an impeachable issue in any way, and shouldn’t be even mentioned in the same breath as the IRS scandal or say Bengazi. You lose all credibility when you bundle them together.

    • mikeman

Your excuse that everybody does it only works if you believe the noam chomsky version of events. This also qualifies you as a certifiable loon.

      And that’s putting it mildly.

    • Regina

      glennd1,
old buddy, old pal, old friend.
      Dude.
Stop for a minute. Put down your bong and stop and think.
The problem is clearly that not enough people are “Just sayin”.
Are you familiar with the old “Emperors clothes” fairy tale?
You must be. You seem knowledgeable and well read.
Isn’t that the crux of the matter culture wise?
Boil it down to the absurd nonsense people have “Just said” to date.
From the pant crease to the leg tingle.
Here you have the truth right in front of your ears and you think that it’s over stated?
      Not reasoned discourse?
You want to say in a thousand words what can be said in ten?
We need more…..many, many more men standing up to “Just say’
      what this man has said.
      Have a nice day, Regina

      • glennd1

Funny, you lecture me but don’t actually disprove the point I’] made. You engaged in what’s called hyperbole, just like this moronic congressmen. Fyi, I’m no Obama supporter, I’m just tired of this kind of idiocy being passed off as insight. It’s purpose is to keep you angry and not thinking, btw. Seems to be working just fine in your case.

        • Regina

          glennd1,
          Sir!
          You don’t have a point!
You rant louder than the those you accuse.
Rather than answer any of my questions you pile on more rants.
Why do you ask for reasoned discourse but contribute none of your own?
          Have a nice day,Regina

    • C. Gee

Another anti-rhetoric dud scud fired by recruit of the Democrat Internet Corps. To incentivize reasoned discourse, in the name of national dialog. And for the children.

    • Graeme

“This kind of upping the ante on the rhetoric day in and day out doesn’t serve our national dialog.”

      Typical hypocritical, leftie, humbug.
Oh, sorry, you’re not a leftie. Yeah, right.

      • glennd1

Don’t tell me who I am, you vicious thug. I’ve voted Republican my whole life. I identify with small “c” conservatism – you may remember the Reaganesque type you lunatics like to wrap yourself in? You remember Reagan, he never went to church, and never called us a “Christian Nation”? He didn’t terrify liberals with a brain the way feral lunatics like Rick Perry or Santorum or that dinbat Bachman – or the queen of all dingbats, Palin, do. You see, he was a reasonable man.

You putz’s here and this blithering idiot of a congressmen are an embarrassment and a disgrace to conservative ideas and values.

    • fiddler

If not, you are one of the many “conscience stricken” who can’t bring themselves to believe that they believed in a candidate solely because of his skin color and law degree. Your guilt just couldn’t allow you to assess this person based on some very alarming problems up front: sealed medical and college records, where he was raised, his social affiliations, books he wrote, SSN number origin, on-line birth certificate, and then in his second term debacles like Solyndra. Nope you believed in a “dream” instead of assessing and individual. I’ve said it before, it’s too bad we didn’t originally have a conservative black instead of McCain running against him in ’08. Then there would have been parity in crticism that the Left couldn’t stomach.

      • glennd1

No Obama fan or voter, nice try though…

    • objectivefactsmatter

“This kind of upping the ante on the rhetoric day in and day out doesn’t serve our national dialog.”

That entirely depends on the facts behind the rhetoric.

      • glennd1

The facts and rhetoric change, the only constant is the ante going up in the form of the extremity of the claims and accusations. Perhaps you missed that in your all your frothing at the mouth and what not?

        • objectivefactsmatter

“Perhaps you missed that in your all your frothing at the mouth and what not?”

          Perhaps.

It’s also possible that your extreme hypersensitivity leads you to see things through the lens of a “class victim.” This lens is hard for you to correct because you’re unaware of it, and it distorts everything you perceive. For example, I’m not actually convinced that there’s been any froth near my mouth.

But keep trying. Maybe you’ll solve all the world’s riddles if you keep plugging away with those things you’re imagining. Or maybe not.

    • Steve

Nice try. There is no national dialogue as you put it. Every criticism or concern is meet with calls of racism and you damned well know it. I don’t buy the everyone has done it argument either or the nasty left would have attempted to impeach all republicans. There were never calls to impeach Bush for anything because they had nothing but lies and rhetoric.

      • glennd1

There were never calls to impeach Bush? You are delusional.

        • Steve

I don’t remember the press making an issue of or mentioning it. Maybe some left wing loonies pontificated on it. What crime did he commit other than the made up ones?

          • 8ball

I object to the use of the word pontification, especially to describe the mouthings of the feral left.

          • glennd1

Okay, an acid test for your self-awareness, Steve. If I accept that it was only left wing loonies calling for Bush’s impeachment, then would you be willing to get that you are their doppleganger? That you and most here are rightwing loonies? Do you have any shred of honesty and self awareness left? Or has it been consumed by your fervid hatred and rabid partisanship?

        • 8ball

You’re nuts if you think there has been another administration as incompetent as this. I see that you produce no reasoned argument to support your assertion. Obama is not just like the others. He is special.

          • $1420579

Note that I didn’t argue what you are saying. I pointed out that his characterization of this administration could be applied to every POTUS I could think of.

And I don’t think they are uniformly incompetent, but rather that their ideals are impractical. I think they attract people who like esoteric ideas and philosophies who aren’t practical. I think that they are Utopian and soft authoritarians. I also think they are bureaucrats who decided long ago that a few lemons would have to be squeezed if we were really going to sort out this society.

On the international front, you really don’t understand Obama at all. Read Power’s book on A Problem From Hell – they have given the Syrian situation a tremendous amount of thought. They are trying to prevent more atrocities – they are the good guys in their minds. They actually don’t care if Putin “gets credit” or not.

I don’t agree with them on most things. But I don’t dismiss them. In large part, leftists hold so much power because many people didn’t take them seriously. He’s transforming our world, don’t you get it? This is what transformation looks like. Did you really think his actions were going to conform to what you believe is “competent”?

          • objectivefactsmatter

            “He is special.”

Kind of. I lost count of how many POTUS were raised by card-carrying Soviet Communists…but not too many.

            http://frontpagemag.com/2012/jamie-glazov/the-communist-frank-marshall-davis-the-untold-story-of-barack-obama%E2%80%99s-mentor/

    • Michael__Durham

      F**k you, you snake-tongued “progressive” sh*tstain. Oh… just sayin’.

    • catherineinpvb

What IS ‘reasoned discourse’ when it comes to evaluating; observing the ‘doings’ of Obama – a President of a Nation; and Commander-in-Chief of it’s Military; both of which, he has no empathy for. A man who literally disdains the Country he serves; and who knows NOT; an American Patriotism or Altruism’?

There cannot even be a ‘beginning’ to the Moral and Rational, to describe this fraudulent excuse for American Leadership. Least of all; his winning what should be; a position of honor and pride – and humility – rather than what he makes of it, by his hubris; which Obama is compelled to exhibit always; and ‘our’ behalf; and at America’s expense; and sacrifice.

    • Rdlake

So it’s safe to say that everything he said is false. It’s comical how the old game “I’m rubber, you’re glue” is still a popular defense for you Liberals. He didn’t even touch on hoe the EPA, DofEnergy &. Other academic morons running depts. that stretch their ever imposing arm into our everyday life. We can’t plant, drill, dig, build or expand because these tree hugging jerks want to save some lizard or guppy no ones ever seen. Progressive pansies are turning us into Europe one worse California.

      • glennd1

Some of what he said is accurate, some is not. But the hysteria, outrage and shallowness of it is quite absurd. I mean, you know this isn’t the first time the IRS was abused, yes? That this isn’t the first time say our diplomats and soldiers were killed in embassy attacks in the mideast? That “Fast and Furious” is an absurd creation of right wing morons – just read the account by the agent in charge in Fortune Magazine.

You see, what galls me about this walking talking points machine is the ignorance he and you, live under about the well known actions of our own country in my lifetime. You see, I actually don’t erase history and just make up garbage that suits the partisan hysteria of the moment. To do so is actually un-American. In fact, such rabid partisanship was the thing our founders – who most of you are utterly ignorant about because you listen to way too much Glenn Beck/David Barton crap – were most concerned about.

Fyi, I’m not liberal but have stopped calling myself conservative because people think I’m like the rest of you goons, wallowing ignorant, nasty tropes and victimhood. I’ll leave you with a thought, so you’ll have at least on in your head. Politics is not a contest of who can make the most outrageous statements about the other “side”. Politics is about the acquisition and use of political power. Radical hyperbole is only heard by rabid partisan’s as a good thing, but to normal people, this guy sounds like a vicious loon. That you and the other dingbats on this thread don’t get that is laughable. You folks are so bought into your worldview that you’ve forgotten that there are other worldviews to contend with. In this, you are just as craven as any leftist has ever been.

Listening the hard right is becoming no different than listening to the hard left now. Hysteria and wild claims are the norm. It’s actually boring, lots of sound and fury but very little light and wisdom.

        • Rdlake

Glenn, ever heard of KISS? Keep It Simple Stupid. Just trying to help.

Summing up this administration: TRAITORS AND COLLABORATORS

  • Regina

    Fit to lead?………..FIT TO LEAD???
The man isn’t fit to Follow!

  • fiddler

Wow. But you see, this comes as no surprise. There was a time when I though that no one could be worse than W.J. Clinton. But of course his brand of narcissism had mostly to do with lack of self control and the resultant gymnastics his supporters had to go through to prop him up. Here, is a man who in no uncertain terms had nothing but disdain for the nation then (prior to 2008) and is evidenced now. His fundamental transformation agenda alarmed me when he was just a candidate and saddens me now. But what is worse than an obvious radical whose every intention is rotten to the core, is an utterly duped electorate. We should have known that they would indoctrinate our youth. Now when our heritage is squandered on an educated ideolog, we all suffer. When you can hide behind criticism by mere virtue of your skin color (as if all “blacks” were in lock step), the term “regressive” has REAL meaning.

    • Gee

      There was Jimmy the Peanut

      • catherineinpvb

Yes; and ‘lest we forget’. .

    • catherineinpvb

Yes; literally cried when Clinton was ‘first go’; and could only hope America would survive his second term. . .given 9/11 shortly after; and given the ‘margins of responsibility’ that Dems – and Repubs as well; accept per ‘blaming Bush’; it is should be safe to say; that this was ‘Clinton’s fault’ and that we did NOT survive; in our entirety.

And yes; Obama was stamped with all the warning signs of ‘fraud’ and inauthentic leadership. . .all which make Bill Clinton appear a great Patriot.

The next challenge; should there be one. . .is Hillary. Will we continue on America’s disastrous slippery slope; or find a way to hijack ourselves; off the downhill slide to utter servitude.

  • bob e

impeach..?? how do ya’ impeach an illegal president..??

  • herb benty

Any one of those would have had the left marching in the streets if it was GB.

  • Rdlake

Finally! Someone said “The Emperor has no clothes” it won’t go anywhere though because most of them traded their testosterone to the devil for a term in office.
