Beyonce and Jay-Z Bankroll Castro’s Racist Tyranny

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Havana last week as official guests of a regime busily beating and arresting black civil rights activists known as the “Rosa Parks Civil Rights Movement.”

Indeed the Stalinist/Apartheid regime hosting the superstar couple murdered more political prisoners per capita in its first three years in power than Hitler’s murdered in its first six. It jailed political prisoners at a higher rate than Stalin’s during the Great Terror. Among these victims were (are) the longest-suffering black political prisoners in modern history of the human race.

In fact, the superstar black couple’s visit coincided with a wave of racist repression by Cuba’s lily-white rulers. Cuba’s black human-rights activists are being beaten, arrested and tortured at a rate that sets a ten-year record for racist torture and terror in the Castro family fiefdom, which is really saying something.

Heartbreakingly, as mentioned above, many of these Cuban human-rights activists admire the U.S. civil rights movement, unaware that the current standard-bearers of this movement—far from championing their cause—actually champion their torturers:

“Viva FIDEL!—VIVA CHE!” yelled Jesse Jackson while arm-in-arm with Fidel Castro at the University of Havana in 1984.

“He [Raul Castro] is one of the most amazing human beings I’ve ever met!” gushed chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus Emanuel Cleaver upon visiting the Castro family fiefdom three years ago. And on and on.

As Beyonce and Jay-Z lived it up around Havana, every penny they spent lands in the pocket of the regime currently beating and arresting Cuban blacks peacefully protesting under the banner of the civil rights leaders the U.S. superstars claim to venerate. Cuban dissident Sonia Garro has spent the past two Easters in Castro’s dungeons without even being charged. She was beaten, arrested– and beaten again– for the crime of carrying flowers in a peaceful religious demonstration honoring other peaceful Cuban blacks murdered by Castroite firing squads.

Not far from the Havana vacation haunts of Beyonce and her (Che-Guevara worshipping) husband Jay-Z, black political prisoners languish in KGB-designed dungeons for such crimes as publicly quoting the works of Martin Luther King Jr. and the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights. Among these prisoners is Dr. Elias Biscet, an Amnesty International prisoner of conscience who was awarded (obviously in absentia) the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bush in 2008.

“The negro,” sneered Jay-Z’s t-shirt idol Che Guevara, “is indolent and lazy, and spends his money on frivolities, whereas the European is forward-looking, organized and intelligent.”

Many Cuban blacks suffered longer incarceration in Castro and Che’s dungeons and torture chambers than Nelson Mandela suffered in South Africa’s. In fact, Castro’s victims qualify as the longest-suffering political prisoners in modern history. Eusebio Penalver, Ignacio Cuesta Valle, Antonio Lopez Munoz, Ricardo Valdes Cancio, and many other Cuban blacks suffered almost thirty years in Castro’s prisons. These men were bloodied in their fight against Beyonce’s hosts but remained unbowed for almost thirty years in their dungeons and torture chambers.

But have you ever heard any of their names mentioned by the U.S. media?  Eusebio Penalver became a U.S. citizen and lived in Miami for almost 20 years. He would have been a cinch for the media to track down. Ever see a CNN interview with any of them? Ever see any of them on “60 Minutes”? Ever read about them in The New York Times?  The Boston Globe? Ever hear about them on NPR during Black History Month? Ever seen anything on them on the History Channel or A&E? Ever hear the NAACP or Congressional Black Caucus mention them?

Why do I bother asking? They were (are) victims of the Left’s premier pin-up boys.

Almost exactly three years ago the Castroites murdered black human rights activist Orlando Zapata-Tamayo. This black Cuban had endured an 83-day hunger strike seeking (vainly, as usual) to alert the world to the Castro regime’s cowardly Stalinism and racism. Finally, a series of savage beatings by his Communist jailers finished him off. Naturally, the U.S. media was no more revelatory of his death than they’d been of his jailing or hunger strike.

Samizdats, smuggled out of Cuba by eye-witnesses, report that while gleefully kicking and bludgeoning Tamayo, his Castroite jailers yelled, “Worthless ni**er!” Dirty worthless ni**r!

Just last month black activist Roberto Rivalta Junco died from maltreatment in Castro’s dungeons. Did the media inform you of any of this racist repression on our very borders? And yet Cuba hosts media bureaus from CNN to ABC and from the AP to NBC. Sure seems that these media outlets reported exhaustively on racist repression when it took place 8 thousand miles away (Apartheid South Africa).

Today, the prison population in Stalinist/Apartheid Cuba is about 80% black, while only 9% of the ruling Stalinist party is black. Many of a certain age well remember many of Beyonce’s musician predecessors mounting a campaign called “Artists United Against Apartheid,” aimed at boycotting South Africa, reviling any musicians who played there, and showcasing the human rights abuses suffered by South African blacks.

Should we hold our breath for the same bunch to organize “Artists United Against Castro-Stalinism”?

As I write Cuba’s racist/Stalinist rulers are enjoying a record windfall of almost $3 billion from tourism. This gravy-train arrives courtesy of a deluge of tourists ten times the number as visited Cuba during the 1950s when she was a “tourist playground.” Sure, you remember. After all, you probably saw it in liberals’ top educational source on Cuba: The Godfather II.

Result of this tourist windfall? A fat, rich and happy Stalinist regime; accompanied by a twenty-year high in repression against the Cuban people. Castro’s military, you see, mostly owns Cuba’s tourist industry in majority partnership with some European robber-barons. Did the media inform you that many of Cuban hotels currently crammed to suffocation with tourists were stolen at Soviet gunpoint form Cuban and American owners and stockholders in 1960? And that they’re being run by European and Castroite millionaires who laugh in the face of the fleeced and rightful owners? Didn’t think so.

Did the media inform you that this armed robbery (totaling $7 billion in current dollars) followed by fifty years of snickering and flinger-flipping by the thieves at the legal owners features in the U.S. sanctions known as the Cuba “embargo?” Didn’t think so.

Every shred of observable evidence proves that travel to Cuba enriches and entrenches the KGB-trained and heavily-armed owners of Cuba’s tourism industry, and thus the most highly motivated guardians of Cuba’s Stalinist status-quo.

Oh, I know. I know in all the libertarian, liberal and think-tank computer models regarding ending the Cuba “embargo” it plays out differently. But observable facts are truly a b*tch, especially for academic eggheads and think-tank dogmatists.

Canadians make up a big plurality of the tourist partners (some of it for child-sex tourism) in Castroite repression. So Canada’s SunNews recently prompted a Frontpage columnist to lower the boom on them.

Two out-of-touch hollywood elites praising an aging regime that has long passed its best before date.

    Why am I not surprised?

See their "arm-in-armed struggle" – Too bad it was not a one-way pass to CooBah.

Pictures showing Beyonce and Jay-Z sauntering down a street in Havana, Cuba and taking in the island's nightlife have sparked outrage among activists appalled that the powercouple could vacation in a country known for its oppressive regime.

Marxist Dialectic strikes again. See, the poor black political prisoners are practically fascist, therefore they deserve it! [/sarcasm]

Hm. Obama hangs out with Jay-Z and Beyonce all the time. Maybe this is Jay-Z's Dennis Rodman moment?

People can visit China and North Korea without running into problems with the law. What about Cuba?

    • objectivefactsmatter

"People can visit China and North Korea without running into problems with the law. What about Cuba?"

Fine, we won'at arrest them. and since they're loyal leftists we shouldn't criticize them either. Right?

    • Omar

Actually, if an American tries to enter North Korea, the Kim family dictatorship's secret police arrest the person and sentences the detained person to a long prison sentence in a slave camp. Likewise, in China, those people confined in "reeducation camps" are not allowed to leave. As for Cuba, the travel ban has already been lifted. In fact, people have actually traveled back and forth between the U.S. and Cuba since our president took office in 2009.

Thanks for the article. See the non-partisan Libertarian International Organization ( ) for more valuable info on what Libs are doing in every country and many political parties.

The fact is that partial contact has led to growing change in Cuba.

what does she have on her head…fake hair hat…how out of touch are these people that they think they are cool…maybe they found out what REAL FREEDOM is…

  • Sky Soldier

This is an observation and not intended as a racist post so don't go there: It appears that most black people congregated to major metropolitan areas in order to get their voice heard at local, State, and Washington DC, and their sheer numbers won them seats in those government bodies. Again, most blacks, vote for the candidates which give them free federal monies so they continue to vote skin color and socialist whites for entitlements… and not their individual personal values. Not all blacks have personal values based on Biblical principles but most do who attend Bible teaching churches… but most of them do compromise those personal values due to the candidate's skin color and not political policies. If the conservatives in the Republican Party, Libertarian Party, Constitution Party and other conservative and Christian leaning poltical parties would get those black voters to assess their personal and spiritual morals and values then there's bound to be inroads made into the black communities.

  • LindaRivera

Eternal shame on Beyonce and Jay-Z turning their backs on black brothers and sisters!

God help the brave, black human rights activist Cuban heroes!

    • luis segui

Linda are you brainwashed?. Cuba was the first country to help Africa fight Apartheid(Angola1977) Can You say African Solidarity. The Cuban Revolution was for the poor the blacks the have nots! The USA Embargo makes Cuba poor. USA is a bully that makes Cuba be very defensive and human rights have to take a back seat. Cuba is under SIEGE, in a WAR with the US. R U A BIGOT!?

  • Ago

"Canadians make up a big plurality of the tourist partners (some of it for child-sex tourism)". Humberto you are insulting many Canadian families and singles who enjoy Cuba for it's fabulous people, delicious cigars and predictable climate. You are an insult to journalism and above all to humanity. Go get a real job.

    • κατεργάζομαι

      Replying to Ago (rhymes with…)

Some people ransack and burn through editorials as they rummage for a reason to be insulted and offended. Never knowing that the article's salient point(s) completely allude them.

Ironically, the Cuba that you elevate and defend as a fine vacation destination for Canadians,
Actually BANS the freedom of speech you enjoy on this American Blog to ALL Cuban citizens.

Perhaps this explains your affinity towards Cuba. Your exaggerated fury elevates such a debauched and dissolute country,..

      ………It's right up your calle.

FACT: if any Cuban citizen speaks against the Cuba government, they disappear: effective.

      Dissent is outlawed.

While I am not advocating an example of your ignorance by YOUR disappearance, please think about the fact that It's almost impossible for Cubans to travel INSIDE – or – OUTSIDE their Cuba….
…..OR to cooler climes……like say; to Canada.

The government won't let them move about their OWN country! It's easy to see why people risk their lives to escape to U.S. shores.

Cuba is the world's largest prison.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are irrelevant, zeros!

    • luis segui

tell that to all the Afro Cubans and all people of color. R U A BIGOT?

  • Aimee

It is insulting the families of all the cubans that have died in the hands of Fidel and Che that Jay Z worships Che and Fidel. What a communist fool. Why doesnt he become a resident of Cuba, donate all of his money to Cuba and live the life of a Cuban under the regime of Fidel. Endure what the people of that country go through on a daily basis. And for no apparent reason, have some militant come into your home, randomly pick a family member or himself and kill you to instill fear. You have no rights and Jay Z apparently agrees with the mistreatment. Communist pig.

    • Debbie gills

They would not have the balls to do that

  • luis segui

USA/Cuba Embargo=Terrorism American Style. Time to go shopping you bigot!

  • Ghostwriter

I will cheer when the current regime in Cuba disappears. Unfortunately, people like luis segui won't be doing that. He'll mourn the passing of one of history's greatest monsters,Fidel Castro. This is a man who did a lot of horrible things. He'll be in Hades, where he will be with his fellow tyrants,Stalin,Hitler,Mussolini,Pinochet,Mao. And he'll be roasting with them for all eternity.

  • Vahe Demirjian

Bit too much propaganda from the fanatical sectors of the Cuban community in Miami.

Any claim by fanatical Afro-Cuban dissidents that the Cuban regime is racist is just plain ridiculous. Maybe there’s a teeny tiny faction within Raul Castro’s government that believes that Cuba’s black population lacks the civility of lily white-skinned Cubans and should be wiped off from the face of Cuba.

  • vivi cuba libre

Im cuban and african cubanos are treated like jews, like animals caged, beaten young girls being raped and sold like slaves, I no one day my people will be free every were, we just have to die for our freedom. Thats gods will, fight for whats right and let evil play out, good allways wins, Castro’s will be history, power is worst then money!
