UN Honors Human Rights Abuser Che Guevara

che guevara 345At a ceremony in Havana last week UNESCO (U.N. Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) honored Che Guevara by enshrining his writings in its hallowed “Memory of the World Register.”  The ceremony included several members of Ernesto “Che” Guevara’s family

“UNESCO’s work is part of our support for freedom of expression as an inalienable human right set down in Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” declares the UN’s mission statement.

But not far from where this UNESCO/Guevara ceremony took place Cubans were being starved and beaten in pestiferous torture chambers for the crime of quoting the UN Declaration of Human Rights in public.

“UNESCO is known as the intellectual agency of the United Nations,” which stands for “Protecting freedom of expression: an essential condition for democracy, development and human dignity,” reads the UN charter.

But not far from where this UNESCO/Guevara ceremony took place, the regime being honored by UNESCO burned hundreds of books and documents in a ceremony slightly less spectacular than the one hosted by Joseph Goebbels in Berlin’s Opera Square in 1933. The bonfire was accompanied by the beating and jailing of the owners and purveyors of these works. The Castroite bonfire was fueled by such works as Orwell’s Animal Farm, the works of Martin Luther King and the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

“I plead with Fidel Castro and his government to immediately take their hands off [Cuba’s] independent librarians,” entreated none other than Ray Bradbury at the time. “And to release all those librarians in prison, and to send them back into Cuban culture to inform the people.”

Instead of heeding Bradbury, for the crime of stocking some of the world’s bestselling books (along with the UN Declaration of Human Rights), the Stalinist regime honored by UNESCO condemned the Cuban librarians to prison terms similar to the one a South African judge handed Nelson Mandela for planting bombs in public places. “As to the disposition of the books, magazines and pamphlets they are to be destroyed by means of incineration because they lack usefulness,” ruled the Castroite “judge.”

Just last week, by the way, the UN honored Nelson Mandela with an “International Nelson Mandela Day.”  The longest-suffering political prisoners in modern history (all Cubans jailed and tortured by the regime honored by the UN last week) have never received so much as a nod or wink from the United Nations.

“As the United Nations agency with a specific mandate to promote ‘the free flow of ideas by word and image’, UNESCO works to foster free, independent and pluralistic media in print, broadcast and online. This foundation is why UNESCO today promotes policies for press freedom and the safety of journalists,” reads the UNESCO charter.

But the regime honored by UNESCO last week also holds the honor, according to the Paris-based “Reporters Without Borders,” of jailing and torturing the most journalists per capita on earth. Stunningly, the total number of journalists jailed by the nation honored by UNESCO (pop. 11 million) is only slightly behind that of China (pop. 1.4 billion).

“Our purpose is to contribute to peace and security by promoting international collaboration through education, science, and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, the rule of law, and human rights along with fundamental freedom,” declares the UNESCO charter.

“We reject any peaceful approach!” declared the man they honored last week in Havana.

Violence is inevitable! To establish Socialism rivers of blood must flow! If the nuclear missiles had remained [in Cuba] we would have fired them against the heart of the U.S. including New York City. The victory of socialism is well worth millions of atomic victims!

“My nostrils dilate while savoring the acrid odor of gunpowder and blood. Crazy with fury I will stain my rifle red while slaughtering any surrendered enemy that falls in my hands! We must keep our hatred alive and fan it to paroxysm!” This passage, by the way, comes from the very works enshrined and honored by UNESCO last week.

The “acrid odor of gunpowder and blood” rarely reached Che Guevara’s nostril from actual combat. It always came from the close-range murder of bound, gagged or blindfolded men (and boys).

Rigoberto Hernandez was 17 when Che’s soldiers dragged him from his cell in La Cabana, jerked his head back to gag him, and started dragging him to the stake. Little “Rigo” pleaded his innocence to the very bloody end. But his pleas were garbled and difficult to understand. His struggles while being gagged and bound to the stake were also awkward. The boy had been a janitor in a Havana high school and was mentally retarded. His single mother had pleaded his case with hysterical sobs. She had begged, beseeched and finally proven to his “prosecutors” that it was a case of mistaken identity. Her only son, a boy in such a condition, couldn’t possibly have been “a CIA agent planting bombs.”

FUEGO!” and the firing squad volley shattered Rigo’s little bent body as he moaned and struggled awkwardly against his bounds, blindfold and gag.

“Certainly we execute!” boasted the man honored by UNESCO last week. “And we will continue executing as long as it is necessary!” Those executions (murders, actually; execution implies a judicial process) had reached about 16,000 by the time of Che Guevara’s statement, the equivalent, given the relative populations, of almost a million executions in the U.S. (This figure comes from “The Black Book of Communism,” by the way, written by French scholars and published in English by Harvard University Press, neither an outpost of “right-wing Cuban exiles.”)

Quite fittingly, Che’s bloodthirsty boast was made on Dec. 9, 1964 while addressing the hallowed halls of the United Nations.

A great reason to ignore the U.N. Why don’t they move its location to Havana. The hookers could use the business.

  • Selena Marquez

Mr. Fontova, we know, ad nauseum, your opinions of Che Guevara. You represent Cubans in exile. I find myself once again having to point out that Che Guevara fought for nothing else but the human rights of the most impoverished people of Latin America. He did kill people. It was war. You try to paint him as a terrorist but he did not commit acts of violence against common citizens. In fact he was a doctor who ensured humanitarian treatment for enemy troops and he was a soldier. No one but those who opposed the revolution could even remotely conceive of Che as anything other than someone who wanted to free the people of Latin America from the tortuous grip of imperialism. His writing do belong in the U.N.’s records. He is an important voice of change, recognized by no less than Nelson Mandela. Because most of the world loves him, that is why he remains, even in death, so dangerous to you.

    • Reco2

Mr Fontova has praised rightwing dictators such as Franco(spain), Horthy(Hungary) and Pinochet(chile)…..he is just angry that Che gave the Right a small dose of their own medicine.

Furthmore, Che only executed 50 terrorists who had supported Batista’s regime(which had murdered 20 000 BTW)…..Castro overall has executed 6000.

      • ProgDestroyer

Reco I think the Pope should follow the UN’s lead and canonize Che, he was a true inspiration to all//SARC OFF//
Of course he was just misquoted and taken out of context, objectively and overwhelmingly NOT. The good news is that when he had the chance to put up or shut up at the site of his end, he cowered like a bitch and didn’t even fire one shot from his weapon. You know the one he said he would bathe in blood. Who knew he meant his own. Idiots like you are the virus that is killing liberty all over the planet.

        • Reco2

Che executed criminals and terrorists and you KNOW IT!

          Why do you deny it?

          • ProgDestroyer

No he didn’t he killed anybody who didn’t agree with him and killed them like dogs. In the end he died like a dog so he got the first part of his eternal punishment. By the way did he get his M.D. from the Mengele School of Medicine. I guess it doesn’t matter since he is on the rack in hell next to him anyway. Couldn’t happen to bigger dkhead.

      • Omar

Reco, quit repeating Communist propaganda. First of all, Mr. Fontova has never praised any of the leaders above. He has never even mentioned Horthy at all in any of his articles. Second, the death toll that Pinochet inflicted during his rule in Chile is small compared to the Castro brothers in Cuba. During his 17 year rule in Chile, Pinochet was responsible for the deaths of a maximum of around 3000 people. The Castro brothers are responsible for much higher than that number (and definitely much higher than the 6,000 figure that Communist apologists like you made up) According to the Cuba Archive (which documents every politically-motivated death in Cuba since 1952), the Castro dictatorship is responsible for at least around 100,000 deaths. Also, Batista did not kill 20,000 people. According to the same source (Cuba Archive), around 3000 people (that figure is identical to the number of people who died under Pinochet’s rule) died during Batista’s seven year autocratic rule in Cuba (1952-1959). The false “20,000″ figure came from Bohemia Magazine in 1957. The man who made that figure up later apologize for that lie and committed suicide because he was so ashamed over what his lie had created. If Batista was really that cruel and brutal, the Castro brothers would have been dead a long time ago (seeing as they got caught by Batista’s authorities after the failed Moncada attacks). Instead, the Castro brothers now rule the longest (and currently the only) totalitarian dictatorship in the Western Hemisphere. In addition, Che Guevara did not kill only 50 “terrorists”. He killed over 14,000 innocent Cubans (the majority who either had no connection to Batista or were against Batista) at La Cabana prison in Havana. Many of those victims were as young as 14-15 years old. This is documented in the Black Book of Communism, which was written by French scholars and translated to English by Harvard University Press. Another difference between Pinochet and the Castro brothers is that Pinochet eventually authorized an electoral referendum on whether he should continue his rule in which he was ousted by popular vote (essentially he ousted himself) in Chile, while the Castro brothers never authorized any electoral referendum on whether Cuba should continue with Communist rule. Reco, you support Communist trolls because you hate democracy and support Communist totalitarianism Why don’t you condemn Lenin, who brutally murdered the Czar’s entire family, including the Czar’s son, who had hemophilia. Why don’t you condemn Stalin, who actually murdered more people than Hitler (Stalin killed about 10 million Ukrainian farmers in the Holodomour, while Hitler exterminated 6 million Jews in the Holocaust). In fact, Stalin killed more people in peacetime than the total number of people who died on all sides in World War I, which took approximately 8 million lives (including the victims of the Ottoman-sponsored Armenian genocide). Why don’t you condemn Mao Zedong, who was responsible for over 70 million deaths in China between 1949 and 1976. In fact, why don’t you condemn all the Communist regimes in Eastern Europe between the end of World War II and the end of the Cold War. You don’t condemn any of the above because you support all of those murderous regimes. Reco, you are simply an apologist for Communist totalitarianism.

        • Reco2

Fontova repeats fascist propaganda…..The “cuba archive” is a site set up by former supporters of Batista…..even the US government believed that you’re hero Batista murdered 20 000 people in seven years.

Castro has only executed 6000….quite lenient.

Furthermore, Fontova praised all those dictators…two of which were Hitler’s allies…..Mao killed 70 million….unproven…how come the population went from 450 milllion to 900 million when he was in power?

Hitler murdered 35 million in the soviet union alone(operation Barbrossa). …. Augusto Pinochet overthrew a democratically elected government.

You are an apologist for fascist totalitarianism.

          • Omar

Once again, Mr. Fontova has never mentioned Horthy at all (where is the article where he even mentioned Horthy by name?). He has never praised any of the dictators you mentioned. Franco was Hitler’s ally only during the Spanish Civil War. During World War II, Franco’s Spain remained neutral in the conflict. Franco even refused to deport Spanish Jews to Nazi concentration camps for extermination. Mr. Fontova is not a fascist. He speaks the truth. Fascism is a far-left ideology. Its ideology is similar to Communism. The only difference between the two ideologies is the question of nationalism vs. internationalism. You should read Jonah Goldberg’s book, Liberal Fascism, to learn the actual truth about fascism.

Also, Mr. Fontova had never supported Batista at all. In fact, Batista’s regime actually jailed Mr. Fontova’s uncle back in the 1930s. Mr. Fontova’s family were anti-Batista when that stance wasn’t popular during the ’30s. Batista was not my hero. Most people despised him. By the way, did you know that in Cuba during the 1950s, there were three main political forces and not two. The two that we all know were Batista and Castro. But there was a third political force led by a man named Carlos Marquez-Sterling, a Cuban constitutionalist who wanted to solve Cuba’s political problems with ballots rather than bullets (he opposed both Batista and Castro). Marquez-Sterling’s son, Manuel, wrote about what happened in Cuba during the 1950s in his book, Cuba 1952-1959: The True Story of Castro’s Rise to Power. Most Cuban dissidents, in both Cuba and in exile, are anti-Batista and anti-Castro.

I repeat again, the 20,000 dead under Batista figure (Batista was responsible for around 3,000 deaths as the Cuba Archive documents. The Cuba Archive, like most human rights organizations pertaining to Cuba, is both anti-Batista and anti-Castro) was a lie fabricated by a man from Bohemia magazine in 1957. He later apologized for the lie and committed suicide because he was so ashamed over what his lie had done. Everyone bought that lie and that is why it is presented as “fact”. Remember the Joseph Goebbels quote that “if people keep telling a lie, other people will believe the lie as fact.” Your hero, Mao Zedong (who killed over 70 million people in peacetime according to the Black Book of Communism) once stated “A lie told a thousand times becomes the truth.” And Fidel Castro wrote this once in a letter from jail in 1955, “Propaganda is the heart of our struggle. We must never abandon propaganda.” All of these quotes from totalitarian figures about lies and propaganda contradict the moral of the children’s story, The boy who cried wolf”, which is to not lie or else people will not believe the person when a tragedy happens. The fact of the matter is that the Castro dictatorship in Cuba is the only totalitarian dictatorship in the Western Hemisphere and its death toll is over 100,000, not 6,000 as you falsely claim (where is your evidence for the phony 6,000 figure?).

In addition, before Operation Barbarossa, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union were almost like buddy-buddy with each other. The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact led directly to the outbreak of World War II since both countries invaded and occupied Poland from opposite sides. Moreover, there is now evidence that suggests that Stalin’s USSR assisted Hitler’s Germany in instigating the Holocaust. You should watch the Soviet Story documentary (directed by Latvian film maker and activist Edvins Snore) to learn about this secret tragedy. The link is here: http://www.sovietstory.com . Again, why don’t you condemn Stalin for murdering millions of his own people through forced starvation as well as from brutal rule?

Pinochet overthrew a government which, despite being elected, was on the verge of becoming a Communist dictatorship and a Soviet/Cuban client state, due to its increasingly authoritarian policies and a crippling economy. Hitler, too, was elected in Germany and look what he had done to the country as well as the region. Whatever his intentions may have been, Pinochet prevented Chile from going down the similar path that Germany went through back in 1933. We all know that Pinochet ruled with an iron fist and yes, there were people who were victims of the military junta’s rule. But Pinochet eventually authorized an electoral referendum in which he was voted out by the people and, subsequently, Chile returned to democracy, something the Castro brothers have never done for the Cuban people. Today, Cuba is ruled by a family aristocratic dictatorship. Again, why don’t you condemn any of the left-wing dictatorships that have caused hell to their own people as well as others? It is because you support all of those murderous regimes. Quit being an apologist for Communist totalitarianism and learn from facts.

    • Omar

There are so many things wrong with your post, Marquez. First of all, Che Guevara was not a medical doctor. He was a medical school dropout. He dropped out of medical school without graduating There were people who searched for his medical degree. No such degree exists. No university in Argentina has a copy of such a degree. In fact, on his last day alive, when he was trying to beg the Bolivian authorities not to turn him in, the Bolivian authorities had a wounded soldier and Che said, “Should I tend him?” And the head of the unit who captured him asked, “What, are you a doctor?” And Che replied, “No, but I have some knowledge of medicine.” He himself admitted that he wasn’t a doctor. The fact of the matter is that Che was no hero. He was a mass murderer. He killed over 14,000 innocent Cubans at La Cabana. It is all documented in the Black Book of Communism, which was written by French scholars and translated into English by Harvard University Press. Che Guevara was an apologist for Soviet/Chinese Communist imperialism. Along with the Castro brothers, he wanted to start a nuclear war against the United States and the rest of the free world. You should put yourself in the shoes of Cuban exiles, who lost family members and other friends to the dictatorship that Che co-founded and which is still causing hell in Cuba today. Why don’t you read Armando Valladares’ book, Against All Hope, to understand why Cubans are angry and upset with the Communist dictatorship in Cuba? Instead of praising Che Guevara, why don’t you support people like Ronald Reagan and Vaclav Havel, who were real freedom fighters who brought freedom to Eastern Europe and elsewhere. Quit repeating Castroite Communist propaganda and learn from facts. Mr. Fontova tells the truth, while the Castro regime lies about almost everything.

  • American1969

Yet another example of why it’s time to cut off all funding to the UN and tell those tools to find another piece of real estate.
Che Guevara was a Communist and a murderer. He was a butcher. The Communists slaughtered hundreds of thousands of innocent people in their “purges” all throughout history—-Cuba was no exception.
What sickens me is how he’s venerated as a hero. Hero? Ask the family members of his victims if they think he’s a hero. Let’s ask all of those Cuban exiles how life was under Castro and Che, and why they were so desperate to escape Utopia.
For those imbeciles who just don’t get it: If Communism is so fantastic, why do so many want to escape it?

    • Selena Marquez

Yes, he is a hero. And he always will be because he wanted the world to be a better place.

      • Omar

Marquez, Che Guevara was not a hero. He was a mass murderer and a terrorist who wanted to export Communist totalitarianism around the world. Ronald Reagan, on the other hand, is a real hero who brought freedom to the people living under oppressive Communist rule in Eastern Europe and elsewhere.

  • Reco2

Che had murderers and fascists executed… the majority of Cubans celebrated.

  • Reco2

A boring rant full of lies and dimwitted delusions.

You’re first lie: ” He has never praised any of the dictators you mentioned.”

“From Pilsudski’s victory over Communists in Poland to Horthy’s in Hungary to Franco’s in Spain, history also teaches that when Communists get even a small taste of their own medicine, their moaning and whining
and sniveling becomes a worldwide cause célèbre.”

-Augusto Pinochet(untold story)-full of lies like most of his garbage.

Horthy murdered 400 000 Jews whilst Franco denouced Israel as a conspiracy of Jews and free masons. Oh and Humberto Fontova is a fascist in every since of the word….anti communist and far right ideology.

You’re second lie:Mr Fontova’s father was a supporter of Batista and so was his cousin Pedro who was a Falangist who wanted to establish fascism in Cuba…he failed and got what he deserved.

It is a confirmed fact that Batista murdered 20 000 in seven years, only his apologists deny it.

Castro executed 6000 of Batista’s thugs…a confirmed fact.

“The Soviet story” was condemned by Jewish groups for re-writing history…it was funded by several rightwing anti Semitic parties. Try to find a credible source. They provide no evidence to their claims…try reading the rise and fall of the third reich or “inside the third reich” by Albert Speer.

Hitler lead a rightist alliance against the Soviet Union-anti-Comintern pact.

As for Chile: Pinochet overthrew a democratically elected government. To say Allende was the next Hitler or Stalin is totally stupid- he did not close down one newspaper, ban any political parties, authorize any killings…indeed, more Allende supporters died during the years 1970-1973 because of Right wing violence.

The Chilean Right wanted to establish a fascist state….and they did. Hitler’s regime was back by the military…the Chilean military, like the German army, has a strong rightist Prussian tradition which makes it hostile to democracy.

    • Omar

Yeah right. You obviously don’t care about the fact that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact led directly to the outbreak of World War II, since both Germany and the Soviet Union invaded and occupied Poland from opposite sides.

Mr. Fontova’s uncle was jailed by Batista’s regime in the 1930s. Mr. Fontova’s father never praised Batista at all. Neither did his cousin, Pedro (where did you get that information? Don’t say it was from Granma, which is the Castro dictatorship’s official newspaper or any other Castro propaganda institution) By the way, Mr. Fontova’s cousin was murdered by police interrogators. Also, where is the evidence that the Castro regime killed only 6,000 Cubans? All evidence points to the fact that the Castro regime (the only totalitarian dictatorship in the Western Hemisphere) killed more than 100,000 people to date. Most of the victims of the Castro regime were anti-Batista as well and some fought with the July 26th movement against Batista (whose regime was responsible for a maximum of 3,000 deaths during his rule. The Cuba Archive, which is also anti-Batista, states so). You also ignore Carlos Marquez-Sterling, the Cuban statesman who wanted to solve Cuba’s political problems in the 1950s with elections, rather than armed rebellion. Mr. Marquez-sterling and his followers were both anti-Batista and anti-Castro.

Fascism is a far-left ideology, not a right-wing one. Mussolini praised Lenin during the early years of the Fascist Party in Italy in the 1920s. The red in the Nazi Party flag stands for workers, according to senior officials in Hitler’s leadership. Hitler condemned capitalism in a speech from 1927. If you watch the Soviet Story, look at the propaganda posters regarding workers in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union and you can see there are huge similarities between the Nazi posters and the Soviet posters. In fact the term “Nazi” was an acronym for “National-Socialism” and the party’s full name was the National-Socialist German Worker’s Party. I already mentioned that the Nazis embraced national-socialism, while the Soviets embraced international-socialism (i.e. Communism) The Nazis vs. the Bolsheviks was really a case of Coke vs. Pepsi.

By the way, which Jewish groups condemn the Soviet Story documentary? The only parties condemning the well-accurate documentary were the Russian government and its sympathizers. The Russian government and its cronies didn’t like the way that they were accurately portrayed in the film, so they decided to launch a smear campaign against Edvins Snore, who is a well respected democracy and human rights activist. If anything, it is you Communist totalitarians and apologists who keep re-writing history in order to not feel guilty about what your heroes have done and to portray your Communist totalitarian “role-models” as the only moral ideology and movement on the planet when all evidence points to the fact that Communists committed one of the worst human rights violations and atrocities in the world in history. Today, you Communists have no trouble aligning with Islamist fundamentalists who want to destroy democracy and impose Sharia law on the world’s population. Just like you Communists sided with the fascists (who the Islamist fundamentalists also allied with) in taking over Poland, you have no problem allying with some of the worst religious totalitarians in the world today.

By the way, did you know that Allende had praised Stalin and his bloody legacy when the latter had died in 1953? Seventeen years before becoming president of Chile, Allende stated that people ought to follow Stalin’s ideals.

I also find it interesting that you compare Pinochet to Hitler. Was Pinochet anti-Semitic? Did he oppose Israel during his rule? The answer to both is no. I already mentioned that Pinochet eventually held an electoral referendum in which he was voted out by the Chilean people, something the Castro brothers never did for the Cuban people. Why don’t you condemn Stalin’s crimes against the Ukranian farmers who starved to death during the Holodomour? By the 1930s, the Soviet Union already killed more people than the number of deaths on all sides during World War I. Why don’t you condemn that? Why are there no opposition parties or newpapers in Cuba today? Because the Castro dictatorship won’t allow any legal opposition to their one-party rule. Why don’t you condemn that. It turns out that you are okay with dictatorships as long as they are Communist dictatorships. Quit repeating Communist propaganda and learn from facts.

      • Reco2

        Again full of lies…typical.

Humberto Fontova has praised Batista, franco, Horthy and Pinochet many times….it has been confirmed that Batista murdered 20 000 in seven years….rightwing fascist sympathizers such as yourself deny his crimes.

Mussolini and his Fascist republican party were certainly rightwing….he was an anti communist who privitised the economy, supported the king and banned collective bargaining.

Adolf Hitler’s National Socialist party was even more Rightwing than Mussolini’s republican fascist party. (and its close cousin the US republican party)

Hitler praised capitalism in 1927, again in 1931, and again in 1935, he even appointed the CEO of Allianz as his Reich minister of economics. He also coined the term privatization…he privatised industry which is against socialism!

Again, you quote the soviet story, a film created by RIGHTWING parties which is full of lies, anti Semitic propaganda and historic distortions….In mein Kampf, where Hitler praises capitalism again BTW, he states that he got the colors for his Nazi banner by using the colors of the Old German imperial tri color…Black, Red, White.

Furthermore, the posters are not similar at all…for example they compare a picture of Stalin POINTING with Hitler saluting…they claim that Stalin was doing the salute….utter rubbish. Furthermore, all wartime posters are similar!

Finally, the name of the party that rulled the Soviet Union was called the Bolshevik party which later called itself the communist party…..it was never called the “international socialist party” as that documentary claims. (no one in that documentry lived in that time)

Most historians, not anti Semitic liars like Snore, beleive that Bolshevism(communism) is left wing whilst National Socialism/Fascism is Rightwing.

The Nazis vs the Bolsheviks…The Falange vs the Republicans…Pinochet supporters vs the democrats etc. totally different.

Chuchill also praised Stalin….Allende praised Stalin because he defeated Rightwing Hitler….i know that upsets fascist Humberto Fontova but he should get over it. He would have supported operation Barbrossa.(not mentioned in the Jew hating soviet story documentary)

Pinochet had a lot in common with Hitler…especially in the economic aspects. Both supported privatization, anti communist, pro business/capitalist, support of the rightist military. Two peas in a pod.

  • Omar

Reco, you are repeating lies yet again. It is time to set the record straight. Batista’s regime was only responsible for about 3000 deaths during the 1950s. The Castro brothers were responsible for more than 100,000 deaths since 1959 alone. Mussolini has never praised the Italian king who ruled before his fascist cult took over. In fact, Mussolini despised the king and actually tried working to depose him since he felt that the king had “betrayed” Italy during World War I and had submitted to the Allied Powers (Britain and France, who were free market societies). It is also a documented fact that Mussolini has praised Lenin for his work to depose the Russian monarchy and establish a socialist system. The only difference between fascism and communism is the question of nationalism vs. internationalism, and that was where Mussolini and Lenin differed on. Also, Joseph Goebbels had also praised Lenin as the second greatest man only to Hitler and that the difference between Bolshevism and the Nazi faith was “very slight.” Read Jonah Goldberg’s book, Liberal Fascism, for more on the truth. Hitler opposed capitalism and had stated so in his 1927 speech (“We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries….”). Hitler had attacked big business and high finance and supported a centralized health care system for the German people. The point is that Fascism and Communism are two sides of the same coin, and that coin is extreme socialist totalitarianism. Communism is not the opposite of fascism, and the similarities in those propaganda posters are almost identical. The Soviet Story documentary is not anti-Semitic at all. In fact, the Soviet Story is trying to tell the world that the Communists in the USSR were as anti-Semitic as the fascists that it supposedly “opposed” but actually were in a mutual partnership. After World War II, Stalin had blamed the Jews for many of the problems that his dictatorship was facing, including accusing them of poisoning him. Edvins Snore is not anti-Semitic at all. In fact, most of the Cold War dissidents in Central and Eastern Europe are pro-Israel and respect the right of Jews to live in their ancestral homeland in what is now the Middle East. By the way, before Operation Barbarossa, which Mr. Fontova has never mentioned at all in any of his articles, let alone “supported,” Communists in the United States and Britain opposed the Allies war effort to combat and defeat Hitler as so-called “capitalist warmongering.” They protested this war effort because of that mutual partnership between Germany and the USSR that occupied Poland and nearby countries. It was only after Operation Barbarossa that Communists supported America’s entry into the war. During the Cold War and in contemporary times, the USSR/Russia have no problem aligning themselves with Islamist fundamentalists who hate Jews and who want to wipe Israel off the map as well as commit a second Holocaust. In fact many on those Islamist fundamentalists are much more open about it than even the Nazis because while Hitler hid the so-called “Final Solution” from the German people (because he thought they were “too civilized” to accept it), Ahmadinejad and other Islamist radical extremists shout it out from the rooftops, and their fellow comrades cheer on. By the way, did you know that Hajj Amin Al-Husseini, the so-called Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (as well as the father of so-called “Palestinian” nationalism), was an Islamist fundamentalist who allied with the Nazis before and during World War II. Al-Husseini was praised by another radical extremist comrade, Yasser Arafat, who was a Soviet/KGB puppet who was friends with other Communist despots. The founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan Al-Banna, was another admirer of the Third Reich. The Brotherhood translated Mein Kampf into Arabic during the 1930s. Today, many Islamist extremists are allied with the Communists and others on the radical left in trying to destroy the West. While Winston Churchill praised Stalin for being part of the Big Three alliance in World War II, the British Prime Minister warned both FDR and Harry Truman about Stalin’s true intentions after the war. And what were those “true intentions?” Those “intentions” were to take over Central and Eastern Europe and to subordinate them into the Soviet Sphere of influence and eventually to take over the world. And FDR dismissed the warning as a “conspiracy.” Also, Allende praised Stalin for much more than the “war effort.” Allende stated that “Stalin was a banner of creativity, of humanism and an edifying picture of peace and heroism.” Those were the “democrat’s” feelings towards one of the worst monsters of the 20th century, a monster who by the 1930s had already killed more people than the number of deaths caused by World War I on all sides. In addition, between 1970 and 1973, the number of Marxist deaths squads in Chile skyrocketed. Allende’s own deputy economic minister declared that “the transition to socialism will first require a dictatorship of the proletariat.” By the time of the coup in 1973, there were over 31,000 foreign Communist agents (from the USSR, Cuba and other Communist countries) infesting Chile. Let me ask you this, what role does the military play in Cuba? Did you know that the leftist military there had murdered a high-ranking Cuban general, Arnaldo Ochoa, on false charges of narcotics (this is the same Communist dictatorship who, along with the Sandinista dictatorship in Nicaragua, financed the infamous drug-lord Pablo Escobar in Colombia, as well as the neo-Marxist, radical left-wing narcotic military dictatorship of Manuel Noriega in Panama). In reality, the Castro brothers were jealous of General Ochoa’s popularity among the Communist Party politburo, so they decided to get rid of him with by accusing him with false charges of “drug-trafficking.” Pinochet ruled with an iron fist, but his economic policies were completely different from Hitler’s and Mussolini’s. While Hitler destroyed democracy in Germany, Pinochet essentially ousted himself with an electoral referendum in which the people voted him out, something the Castro brothers have never done with the Cuban people. Right now, the Castro dictatorship have established a colonial client-state in Venezuela, where the autocrat, Nicolas Maduro, stole that country’s presidential election from the legitimate winner, Henrique Capriles (whose family escaped Europe before and during World War II). Learn from facts instead of repeating and posting Communist totalitarian propaganda.

You are lying once again….Hitler never said that….that was his enemy Gregor Strasser who wrote in a pamphlet in 1926 called the “road to resurgence”…

This is what Hitler really said….

“The capitalists,” Hitler said, “have worked their way to the top through their … which again only proves their higher race, they have a right to lead” (Bullock 1991)

You’re second lie is rather outrageous because you attempt to claim that key perpetrators of the Nazi holocaust were innocent….the Jewish virtual library defeats you’re antisemitism….

The point is that industrial behavior under Nazism cannot be reduced to simple structural explanations. Even within the context of a dictatorship that demanded high levels of production for war, industrialists made choices as individuals. They approached the SS for cheap labor; they decided whether to buy a Jewish company at a fraction of its value; they determined how forced and slave laborers would be treated in their factories.

And you pretend that the Nazis were anti big business?

You spit on the memory of those who died in the factories of the German capitalists who supported Hitler…you are an utter disgrace.

Goebbles never said that the difference between Nazism and communism was very slight….here is an address from Hitler in 1935 where he makes it clear that they totally opposite….

      “Bolshevism destroys not only private
property but also private initiative and the readiness to shoulder responsibility. It has not been able to save millions of human beings from starvation in Russia, the greatest Agrarian State in the world. National Socialists and Bolshevists both are convinced they are a world
apart from each other and their differences can never be bridged.”

      -Adolf Hitler…may 21 1935-adress to REichstag!

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeaMRGzoYmE

Again i repeat, Humberto Fontova is a fascist in the same tradition of Hitler and Mussolini….who were of course both rightwing dictators.

Many top soviet ministers were Jews…incuding Trotsky and Lazar Kagnovich.

So spare me you’re revisionist lies.

Batista murdered 20 000 people in seven years…3000 is an outright lie created by fascist anti Castroites.

“Marxist death squads”….care to name 10 of Allende’s victims?

There were rightwing death squads during the Allende years who murdered Rene Schnider and many others.

      31 000 communist agents?

No you are just repeating lies…Hitler claimed that the communists had an army of over 500 000 to convince the rightwing of the army to support him….

If there were 31 000 armed agents….where were they when the fascists attacked democratic Allende?

      Another Rightist lie!

Pinohcet ousted a democracy like Hitler did…Castro ousted a military dictatorship and most celebrated.

Rightists often create lies to justify their overthrow of democracy…Hitler did it, Mussolini did it, Franco did it and Pinochet did it.

Pinochet also copied HItler’s economic policies.!

More of your lies and conspiracy theories. That photo of yours comes from the middle of World War II, after Operation Barbarossa. Who was Gregor Strasser? Whoever he was, the fact remains that Hitler was anti-capitalist and wanted to attack big business and high finance. He wanted a government-run health care system for Germans. Time Magazine had an article from 1938 that stated that many of Hitler’s economic policies were identical to those of Stalin’s. I already mentioned that fascism and Communism are two sides of the same coin, and that coin is socialist totalitarianism. The main difference between the two is the question of nationalism vs. internationalism. Mussolini admired Lenin for most of his policies. The Soviet Story documentary has accurate photos of propaganda posters from Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. The posters were so similar to each other that they were identical.
In addition, the Cuba Archive reported the fact that 3,000 people died under Batista’s rule in the 1950s, and that the Castro brothers are responsible for more than 100,000 deaths in Cuba since 1959. Only left-wing Castroite apologists like you say that it’s 6,000, which is totally ridiculous.

More of your lies and conspiracy theories.

I mentioned already that the “20,000 deaths under Batista” mantra was fabricated by a man from Bohemia Magazine, who later apologized for that lie and later committed suicide because he was so ashamed over what his lie had created. Everyone bought that lie because Fidel Castro, much like Goebbels before him, emphasized the importance of propaganda in a struggle for totalitarianism when he [Castro] stated in a letter from jail in the mid-1950s that “Propaganda is the heart of our struggle. We must never abandon propaganda.” If Batista was really cruel and brutal as you keep claiming he was, the Castro brothers would have been dead a long time ago. Instead, the Castro brothers now rule the longest (and currently the only) dictatorship in the Western Hemisphere. Again, where is your evidence that the Castro brothers killed only a total of around 6,000 Cubans? Where is the source that says so? What newspaper said so? Castro did not eliminate 6,000 Cubans, let alone Batista fanatics. It is well documented in both the Cuba Archive and the Black Book of Communism that the Castro dictatorship has killed more than 100,000 Cubans and that Che Guevara was responsible for at least 14,000 of those deaths (not 50 as you claim). Many of the victims were as young as 14 and 15 years old. Most of those Cubans killed by the Castro regime either had no connection to Batista, fought in the July 26th movement to depose Batista (or supported Carlos Marquez-Sterling’s efforts to resolve Cuba’s political issues in the 1950s by using elections instead of armed rebellion) or were born after Batista was toppled (a large portion of the Cuban population today were born after 1959). The fact of the matter is that the Cuba Archive (which documents every politically-motivated death in Cuba since 1952) reported that Batista was responsible for a maximum of 3,000 deaths.

Contrary to your neo-Communist propaganda, Mussolini was a lifelong socialist. Fascism is left-wing, not right-wing. conservatives believe in limited government and individual rights. Fascism believes in an omnipotent government. How are the two linked? Fascism is much more related to Communism than Western conservatism. Read Jonah Goldberg’s book, Liberal Fascism, for more on the truth. Even if Mussolini was appointed by the King of Italy, he deposed the very man who appointed him. The fact of the matter is that Mussolini had actually admired Lenin and his economic and totalitarian methods. The main difference between the two is the question of nationalism vs. internationalism with Lenin favoring internationalism and Mussolini favoring extreme nationalism. Also, the invasion of Ethiopia happened in the 1930s (a decade after Mussolini came into power), not the 1920s, when he actually came into power.

Regarding Hitler, every quote there that you found that allegedly “proves” that he was a “free-market” ideologue was fabricated by none other than the East German STASI police (one of the most ruthless of the Communist police state authorities after World War II). The STASI were the ones responsible for building the Berlin Wall, which was built to prevent emigration from East Germany. Keep in mind that the STASI police was the successor to the Third Reich’s secret police, and that many members of the STASI were actually officers from the Third Reich. The STASI had tried to overthrow the democratic government of West Germany by trying to connect with Communists there as well as neo-Nazi groups trying to escape the country to band together and undermine the government in West Berlin. The STASI police has also connected with the Castro dictatorship in Cuba. The 1927 quote that I posted above is accurate. Hitler opposed capitalism and sought to minimize its influence in Germany. The link is here: http://constitutionalistnc.tripod.com/hitindex.html . The ridiculous notion that Hitler was pro-big business and pro-free market was fabricated by the East German STASI police which encouraged revisionist history in order to fit their propaganda. I already mentioned that Goebbels believed that Lenin was the “second greatest man only to Hitler” and that the “difference between Bolshevism and the Nazi faith was very slight.” It should also be noted that history is often written by the winners in war. Since Communism won and Nazism and fascism lost in World War II, they [the Communists] re-wrote history in a way that tried to completely distance themselves from their fascist counterparts as well as certain embarrassing events like propaganda posters regarding workers, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and the invasion of Poland as well as helping to instigate the Holocaust. The creators of the Soviet Story documentary spend months (even a few years) searching through archives and having interviews with victims’ families about those harsh experiences documented in that film. Bottom line: Edvins Snore and his fellow crew members went beyond what most historians read and wrote regarding the interwar years and World War II.

In Chile, there were over 31,000 foreign Communist agents infesting Chile by 1973. There is sufficient evidence documented by scholars who explored into what happened there. There was a gun fight between Allende’s forces and the rebels in the army that lasted for around 6 hours. Allende committed suicide by using a shotgun given to him by Fidel Castro. The fact of the matter is that Allende wanted to turn Chile into a Soviet/Cuban Communist client state after winning an election with only 36% of the vote, which was similar to the vote percentage that Hitler got in Germany in 1933. Another fact is that after a decade and a half of authoritarian rule, Pinochet authorized an electoral referendum in which he was voted out by the Chilean people, something the Castro brothers have never done for the Cuban people.

Regarding Henrique Capriles, everyone knows that he is the legitimate winner in the presidential election held in Venezuela this past April. But the Castro regime, which controls the Venezuelan autocracy, decided to commit voter fraud in order to benefit their viceroy, Nicolas Maduro. Today, Venezuela is not a sovereign country, but a protectorate and client state of Communist Cuba. In fact, Venezuela should be called the Cuban Raj because it is being dominated by the regime in Havana. The truth is that Henrique Capriles is this era’s Mohandas Gandhi because he is trying to free Venezuela, abolish the Cuban Raj and return the country to democracy, while Viceroy Nicolas Maduro is nothing more than a puppet of the Castro brothers. The fact of the matter is that voter fraud was committed in Venezuela by the Castro-backed autocrat, Maduro, and the Communist hate cult in Venezuela. Everyone knows that voter fraud was committed there. That’s a fact.

More rightwing fascist propaganda…you’re heroes Hitler and Mussolini would be proud!

Even the anti communist JFK said that Batista murdered 20 000…Castro put a stop to that and there were huge celebrations in Cuba!

John Lee Anderson, who was Che’s biogragher, claims that Che executed 50 criminals…that is all!

Mussolini was a rightwing fascist who governed Italy at the consent of King Victor Emmanuel III….hence the name of the his fascist regime was called the Kingdom of italy!
Every quote from Hitler came from the writings of Albert Speer, William Shirer(who met Hitler several times) and the official Reichstag hansard!

The quote from 1927 is a fabrication and was actually written by Hitler’s ardent enemy…Gregor Strasser…who he had shot in 1934.

“The capitalists,” Hitler said, “have worked their way to the top through their … which again only proves their higher race, they have aright to lead” (Bullock 1991)

This is what Hitler said in 1927…not “we are socailsits”….why do you think the CEO of Allianz and Hugo Boss supported him!

The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich details Hitler’s close alliance with capitalism and western conservatism.

I can’t believe that you DENY that German capitalists used slave labour in the holocaust…denying that is a criminal offense in Germany and rightly so….

Goebbels raved and ranted about bohsevism……here he is in a DOCUMENTED paper…..Great Anti-Bolshevist exhibition(1937)

Europe should see and recognize the danger of
Bolshevism. We will never tire of pointing it out. Without fear, we wantto point the finger at the Jew, the instigator, the cause, and the beneficiary of this terrible catastrophe: “See, there is the enemy of
the world, the destroyer of cultures, the parasite among the peoples, the son of chaos, the incarnation of evil, the ferment of decomposition, the plastic demon of the collapse of humanity.”

Dr. Goebbels, Reichspropagandaleiter of the NSDAP

          Sounds like Reagan.

It was the US that described the Nazis as rightwing and capitalists and the west German government contributed to that view…..they arrested Krupp, Hugo Boss, IG Farben and hanged a number of German capitalists that had supported Hitler.

The defeat of Hitler was a massive blow to the Right!….the Stasi was filled with people IMPRISONED by Hitler…

Kurt Georg Kiesinger, a member of the Nazi party, was a CONSERVATIVE chancellor of germany.

Bottom line…Edvins Snore LIED and re-wrote history to defend his country’s pro Nazi past.

AS for the 31 000 agents in Chile….no evidence…indeed, this was proven to be a rightwing lie by the coupists themselves. Please tell me where this “massive gun fight” took place?

          No where!

Allende was a democrat…he never banned a political party or shut down a newspaper…FACT!

You’re love of fascism is showing again!

Only Capriles thinks there was vote riggting…international observers have confirmed that he is lying and is actually trying to orchestrate a military coup against and elected government….like HItler during the Munich Pustch!

          • Omar

Reco, quit lying. Jon Lee Anderson is a biased historian who wrote his so-called “biography” of Che Guevara while living in Cuba. Since he was living in Cuba, he needed to get permission from the Castro dictatorship before publishing his book on Che. Of course, the book is going to be biased, since the regime will not allow any criticism of itself nor of Che. Furthermore, Anderson spends about 200 of the 814 page book discussing about Che’s largely fictional guerrilla war to oust Batista, but deals with his six-year slaughter of Cuban peasants and farmers (the so-called “War Against the Bandits”) in one dismissive sentence. Bottom line: Anderson’s book on Che Guevara is fiction written with full supervision of the Castro regime, while Humberto Fontova’s book tells the real truth about who Che Guevara really was. Also, the fact remains that Batista’s regime was responsible for a grand total of around 3,000 deaths during the 1950s, while the Castro dictatorship is responsible for more than 100,000 deaths since 1959. That is fully documented in the Cuba Archive, which like most democracy organizations pertaining to Cuba, is both anti-Batista and anti-Castro. If so many Cubans support the oppressive Castro dictatorship in Cuba, why do so many Cubans emigrate from Cuba to the United States and other countries every year? The fact is that the Castro dictatorship is unpopular with the Cuban people, as most Cubans want to see their country return to democracy with a stable economy, which has been in ruins since at least the 1990s, and much worse since 1960. Most Cubans want a change in government. That’s a fact. Regarding fascism, I already mentioned that it is an extreme left-wing ideology that despises capitalism and believes in an omnipotent government controlling everything, including the economy, and that the main difference between fascism and communism is the question of nationalism vs. internationalism, with fascists favoring the former and communists favoring the latter. Gregor Strasser was a member of the Nazi Party in Germany, which further proves my point that the Nazis were socialists. His rivalry with Hitler was actually intensified by the chancellor of the Weimar Republic, Schleicher, who offered Streisser the position of Prime Minister of Prussia. The chancellor wanted to divide and disunite the Nazi Party by turning its key members against each other. This seemed to be similar to the rivalry between Trotsky and Stalin in the Soviet Union. Your lies and propaganda about Nazism being “right-wing”, as well as the Hitler-Streisser rivalry actually proves my point that Nazism and fascism were left-wing ideologies. It is ridiculous to compare Henrique Capriles to Hitler. Capriles’ family escaped from Europe during the fascist period to avoid persecution in Europe. Henrique Capriles is a democrat who wants to return Venezuela to democracy and to free it from the Castro dictatorship and its puppet in Caracas, Nicolas Maduro (who by the way is not Venezuelan, but actually Colombian. Recently, Panama’s former ambassador to the Organization of American States, Guillermo Cochez, recently found some evidence suggesting that Maduro was born in the Colombian town of Cucuta, which is near the border with Venezuela. Maduro’s entire family is Colombian). A more accurate comparison between a Latin American leader to Hitler would be Salvador Allende, who won an election for president in Chile with only 36% of the vote in 1970. I already mentioned that Allende’s regime was a Soviet/Cuban client state which waged war against Chilean society between 1970 and 1973. By 1973, there were over 31,000 foreign communist spies infesting Chile. The massive gun fight took place in Santiago between Allende’s soldiers, and soldiers who were resisting the foreign espionage infestation. This was all documented by Gonzalo Rojas Sanches, who is a History Department chairman at Chile’s Catholic University. Although Pinochet ruled with an iron fist, his economic and foreign policies were completely different from Hitler’s and Mussolini’s (Pinochet favored a free-market economy, while the fascist leaders favored acontrolled economy identical to the Soviet model). One of the key differences between regular military junta leaders like Pinochet and fascist/Communist leaders like Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and Castro was that Pinochet eventually authorized an electoral referendum in which he was ousted by the Chilean people. And true to his word, Pinochet stepped down from power in 1990. Today, Chile has a vibrant democracy and a good economy. None of the socialist dictators of the 20th century have ever authorized an electoral referendum the way Pinochet authorized his referendum. Most of the Communist and fascist dictators needed to be taken down either by popular uprising from within the country, or an outside military intervention. If you want to talk about how a dictator overthrew democracy, look at what happened in Grenada in 1979, when the Soviet/Castro-backed Maurice Bishop of the Marxist New Jewel movement overthrew the government of elected Prime Minister Eric Gairy. The New Jewel movement was the most ruthless organization to have ever governed Grenada. Your love of Communist totalitarianism is showing again, and it is that obsession that is preventing you from learning facts about history and the world.

  • Selena Marquez

What a fool you are. You think you can change the facts and history will change. The vast majority of Latins Americans (an millions more around the world) love Che, and for good reason, and they know the truth. Che was not the man you say he was. That is propaganda and lies.

    • ProgDestroyer

Selena, you are an a$$clown. Che was a Marxist punk-a$$ed thug that in the end cowered like a bitch when his end came. He didn’t even fire his gun even once when the firefight happened and he begged for his life like a dog. The fact that millions of a$$clowns like yourself love and adore him only shows how pathetic and much of a loser you and they are. The Marxist left are the best and most prolific purveyors of lies and propaganda around. You have learned well from your godfather Goebbels. Congrats you are the stupidest person I have talked to today.

    • Omar

Marquez, get your facts straight. Che Guevara was not a hero. He was a mass murderer. The majority of the people of the world do not know who he really was because of the Castro dictatorship’s endless propaganda about Che as well as on the Cuban Revolution in general. Ronald Reagan, on the other hand, was a real hero who fought against totalitarianism and for freedom and democracy in Eastern Europe and elsewhere in the world. Most Americans support and honor Reagan today as the man of the people.

More right wing revisionism…. John Lee Anderson’s book debunks the myths and lies told by the Cuban fascist exiles.

    They
murdered 20 000 in seven years but complain when they get a small dose
of their own medicine….its like their right wing comrades, the nazis,
complain about the Nuremberg trials. Their relatives were
    criminals….simple.

Furthermore, Hitler appointed the CEO of
Allianz insurance as his “Reich minister for economics” and in typical
rightist fashion murdered all communists, socialists and trade unionists
that opposed him. He also had Gregor Strasser executed because Hitler
didn’t want socialists in the party….he preferred capitalists and
    aristocrats aka Rightwingers like him.

    The funny thing is that
you quote a supporter of Hitler and his allies to back up your claims.
Gonzalo Rojas Sanches said the armies of Hitler, Mussolini and Franco
saved Spain……he even thinks the Nazis were Rightwing!

    Salvador
Allende was a Jewish Marxist and you are comparing him with Rightwing
Hitler who was both anti marxist and anti jewish….Hitler is more
comparable with Augusto Pinochet who both had the same economic
policies, same views and the same enemies.

    “31,000 foreign communist spies”

    A
lie from the Hitler supporter Gonzalo Rojas Sanches….Hitler claimed
that there were 400 000 communist agents in Germany…both Pinochet and
    Hitler were lying.

Those who Che had executed were no better than the SS!
