"Interestingly, the political left and right have been in agreement about the injustice of at least one type of government intervention: federal bailouts of big Wall Street firms during the financial crisis a few years ago. Millions of Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street Americans have denounced those bailouts, condemning them as “crony capitalism” or “corporate capitalism.”"

But for different reasons. The left objected because they saw this is capitalism running amok and the free market breaking itself. It was actually caused by government interference in the first place. That's why the fed could not rationally hang the banks out to dry, not because of "too big to fail" (that's how they sold it to main street) but because it was socialist policies that caused the problems. How is big government going to blame the banks or let them fail when it would not be that hard for the banks to run a campaign educating the public on just what happened.

We would all have been better off if the banks had been allowed to fail because they would have ensured that we would learn a lot more as they went down.

Instead the root causes have been whitewashed because it served the interests of the banks and the leftists (along with "conservatives" that went along with it). Collusion between big banks and DC.

Not that it's a deeply hidden secret, but few seem to be motivated to find out the facts.

These OWS-leftist anti-capitalists just should have their iPhones, world-trips, tattoos, Converses, Nikons, Red Bulls and twin tip off-pist skis because "they're worth it". Spoiled, raised bourgeois, totally oblivious of the competition and the hard work behind these commodities. They live in a reality without competition and want an "equal" world, the socialist utopia. They are like drug addicts, pampered from early age they want more and more pampering, moreover feeling they're so good people with so good intentions, so compassionate.
Democracy has a tendency to slowly fall into a socialist abyss.
