Veterans Break the Obama Blockade

VETMARCH0171381683911Thousands of World War Two veterans fed up with President Obama’s needlessly cruel closure of national shrines in order to put pressure on his political enemies, yesterday stormed the cordoned-off open-air Washington, D.C., memorial that was created to honor them.

In a touching moment that ought to warm every red-blooded patriots’ heart, nonviolent protesters removed barricades on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., erected by the National Park Service to keep veterans and other members of the public from enjoying the National World War Two memorial that was built with private funding.

In the middle of the day veterans carried some of the “barrycades,” or “barackcades,” as some are calling the metal hurdles used as barriers, a few blocks away to the White House to register their disgust with the petty-tyrant ways of President Obama.

Although many of the flag-carrying veterans were octogenarians who came to the demonstration in wheelchairs, they were met with a massive show of force by baton-wielding local police.

This was quite unlike the treatment afforded left-wing pro-immigration amnesty protesters whose demonstration on the National Mall last week authorities bent over backwards to accommodate. Police even let the activists erect a stage in the area that was supposed to be off-limits to the general public.

In an incident staged for the media, eight socialist pro-open borders members of the U.S. House of Representatives acted out last week in order to make police arrest them for disorderly conduct. Democratic lawmakers arrested included the usual suspects such as Islamist ally Keith Ellison (Minn.), Jan Schakowsky (Ill.), Charles Rangel (N.Y.), and John Lewis (Ga.).

After police massed Sunday to intimidate the assembled veterans, actor James Woods seemed to speak for normal Americans who are aghast at Obama’s tactics as he does

petty, irritating things like shutting down national parks, scenic lookouts on highways, and bicycle paths in order to rankle voters in the hope they’ll project blame for the ongoing government shutdown onto Republicans.

Woods tweeted sarcastically, “Thank God we have baton wielding riot police to protect us from 85 [year] old vets in wheelchairs. Thanks, Mr. Obama.”

Some prominent Republicans showed up at the protest to address the crowd.

“This is the people’s memorial,” said Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). “Simple question: Why is the federal government spending money to keep veterans out of the memorial? Why did they spend money to keep people out of Mount Vernon, Mount Rushmore? Our veterans should be above political games.”

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said veterans won’t be bullied into silence.

“Veterans have proven they are not timid. And we will not be timid in calling out anybody that uses the military as pawns,” Palin said. “We can only be America, home of the free, if we are America, home of the brave.”

Protesters chanting “U-S-A.” and “Tear down these walls” denounced Obama and Democratic congressional leaders.

“In a mean-spirited fit of selfish anger, Barack Obama has shut down our nation’s war memorials,” the organizers of the rally said in a statement.

“And he has declared open war on our honored veterans. The World War II memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, Obama has shut them all down to force his will on the House of Representatives and, frankly, to get revenge on the American people who oppose ObamaCare and his other naked power grabs.”

One speaker urged urged President Obama to “put the Koran down.” While politically incorrect, the comment isn’t entirely off the mark given how Barack Hussein Obama has gone out of his way to accommodate and help advance Islamic theocratic totalitarianism, even aiding the terrorist group al-Qaeda that killed almost 3,000 Americans on Sept. 11, 2001.

Almost on cue, CNN tried to portray the veterans as kooks and fringe-dwelling lunatics and downplayed the size of the veterans’ gathering. The cable TV network’s website reported:

“The rally, billed as the ‘Million Vet March on the Memorials,’ drew far fewer than a million people and evolved into a protest that resembled familiar tea party events from 2009, with yellow ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ flags throughout the crowd and strong anti-Obama language from the podium and the audience.”

CNN focused on misbehaving people in the crowd, noting one protester shouted that Obama was a “punk” and that several carried “Impeach Obama” signs. Another sign that seemed to be directed toward Republicans, read “You can’t be a conservative and a pussy too.”

As Ben Shapiro observed, “CNN never covered Occupy Wall Street or the ‘Million Muslim March’ on September 11 in such fashion.”

Shapiro is right.

And during the ongoing shutdown saga, there was no media outrage when Obama likened Republicans to arsonists, falsely claiming GOP lawmakers were unwilling to compromise with his side on funding the federal government.

It is unreasonable, Obama lectured, for Republicans to say, “If you don’t give me the price, I’m going to burn down your house.”

There was no media outrage when Obama mouthpiece Dan Pfeiffer called Republicans suicide bombers and compared them to arsonists and kidnappers.

“We are for cutting spending, we are for reforming our tax code, we are for reforming entitlements,” Pfeiffer said. “But what we are not for is negotiating with people who have a bomb strapped to their chest.”

There was no media outrage when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) smeared Tea Party movement supporters, calling them “anarchists.”

There was no media outrage when Rep. David Scott (D-Ga.) called Republicans traitors. “Your hate for this president is coming before the love of this country because if you love this country you would not be closing it down,” he said.

In the age of Obama, accusing Republicans –especially Tea Party supporters– of being violent sociopaths is a standard leftist smear. Tea Party rallies are orderly and peaceful, filled with decent, honest, hard-working Americans who pick up the trash.

By contrast, when the public defecators that constitute today’s Left get together people get mugged, murdered, and raped, as Occupy Wall Street showed the nation as it rapidly transformed protest sites into biohazardous disaster areas.

Yet the good guys on the side of limited government and fiscal responsibility get labeled “terrorists.” Why?

Because the Tea Party, the right-wing populist movement sparked by Obama’s various transgressions, is an existential threat to the Left, so leftists are throwing every chunk of mud they can find.

To emotion-driven left-wingers, successful Republican tactics are by definition unfair. If the tactics are particularly effective, the progressive mind labels them terrorism.

Rules for Radicals author Saul Alinsky recognized this human foible to which leftists are particularly susceptible in his ninth rule of “the ethics of means and ends”: “[A]ny effective means is automatically judged by the opposition as being unethical.”

Obama’s serial shutdowns of public facilities is called the “Washington Monument Strategy.” The theory is that such minor annoyances amplify the consequences of budget cuts, or in this case, of the government shutdown. The goal is to force congressional Republicans to surrender their principles and agree to fund Obamacare and raise the national debt ceiling — and in the process look wimpy and lose the support of their grassroots.

Meanwhile, Obama has tendered yet another insult to America’s veterans and fallen military heroes. Arlington National Cemetery has been removing mementos such as photos and notes placed on the gravestones of more than 800 soldiers killed serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Even our war dead can’t escape politics during Obama’s presidency.

“Although many of the flag-carrying veterans were octogenarians who came to the demonstration in wheelchairs, they were met with a massive show of force by baton-wielding local police.”

This heartless act gave me a tear :(

These men are the real definition of Heros, not sportspeople.

As for that useless Muslime POTUS, his pleasure time is more deserving…of course.

I wish this shutdown would last longer. This government’s mask has been slipping the last few days.

As someone who does not live in America, I find it sad that the Americans voted a Muslim into their White House. Has the world learnt nothing from 1400 years of Islamic Jihad and hate of non-Muslims? This B Hussein Obama seems to behave exactly like the typical bullying, amoral/immoral Muslim and seems to be a petty, intolerant, spiteful, lying and deceitful tyrant. I really hope that America will survive the next 3 years of his term and after that put in rules that will forbid Muslims taking power ever again in America. I have personally found that when I stand up to individual muslims with their temper tantrums, they back off and become obsequious… maybe that is why his handlers are currently hiding “Barry the Bully” from the people.

    • Salen Stormwing

Obama isn’t a Muslim. Stop perpetuating the lie already. It’s been declared so busted it’s sad. You want to be upset with him for other reasons, go ahead.

      • Bob

If not a practicing Muslim certainly a Muslim sympathizer. OK?

        • Salen Stormwing

See, that’s different. But propagating a lie that’s been debunked for YEARS earns you no points in my book. If you have reason to dislike someone, have REAL reasons, not FAKE ones.

      • vladdy1

If your father is a muslim, and you say the shahada — and wear a ring that says “There is no god but Allah..” — Quack, quack.

P.S. “Fact check” sites are propaganda,

        • Salen Stormwing

[CITATION NEEDED] for the second and third items.

Also, fact check sites are propaganda? Websites that actually can prove their point are PROPAGANDA? Let me guess, you’re one of the folks in the last election who “didn’t let facts dictate the election”.

If you want to hate Obama, hate him for REAL reasons, not the fake ones you tell yourself so you don’t feel bad for hating him.

      • dad1927
        • Salen Stormwing

Got any more propaganda you would like to share? He’s not a Muslim, get over it. Find one of the many, many, many, many other reasons to dislike him.

    • Taimoor Khan

Why can’t a Muslim be US President? So you mean America is not a free country when it comes to religion? Thank you. I’ll let people know that when they try to give lecture on supposed lack of religious freedom in Muslim countries!

      • vladdy1

The reason Americans are against it is because the ideology clashes with our Constitution. Simple. That’s why.

        • Salen Stormwing

I think folks said the same thing about Kennedy when he was trying to get elected as President. Something to the extent of “Oh, he’ll let the Vatican run the country”.

        • Taimoor Khan

Yes, your reason for justifying discrimination. Thank you.

          • Idl

The constitution is not a suicide pact.

      • Hass

What an idiotic comment. Show me one Muslime Government that guarantees what the US does when it comes to politics and religion.

As for not wanting a Muslime POTUS, isn’t it obvious? You’re conveniently leaving out, that Islam is at war with everyone inc the very countries that keep Muslims from starving.

So yeah, keep spreading your BS.

        • Taimoor Khan

          “….guarantees what the US does…”?

Yeah, discriminating a person for belonging to a certain faith and barring him for President Office is such a great freedom and standard!

To give you a cue, real freedom is about individualism. You judge an individual based on his attributes, and not through a collective brushing.

You are against the very principle of freedom and equality and then you dare boost your constitution?

All your invalid arguments can be applied to any religion. Just admit that you discriminate, and move on.

BTW, your presidents say “Islam is peace”. Does they say the same about Nazism?

Also, there are Muslims in your congress and/or senate. So all is not lost may be?

        • Salen Stormwing

He’s not a Muslim. Also, there’s no “E” at the end of Muslim. For folks who support the constitution, and all that it holds, I guess Freedom of Religion is only sacred if it applies to you.

Remember when in the 60s, politicians said Kennedy would let the Vatican run the government if he was elected, because he was a Catholic? Yeah, 50 years later, and some things never change. New religion, same old story.

          • spyeatte

I do not respect religions that cut people’s throats, and right now there is only one. Go soil some other country.

          • Salen Stormwing

You’re claiming he’s a Muslim, which he’s not. And should I list off a few of the things that carry the death penalty in the Bible? Because I’m pretty sure I know more of them than you. So let’s not go comparing who’s religious beliefs are worst than who’s.

Unlike you, I respect the position of the President of the United States, no matter who holds it. Please go soil some other country yourself.

          • spyeatte

Actually, I said “how do you know he is not?”. You are in way over your head.
What was done a very long time ago in the name of religion is one thing, what is happening right now is something else all together. The Muslims are the only ones stuck in the 5th century.

          • Salen Stormwing

And like I said, it’s been debunked. For a while now. Any claim that he still might be is just a sad attempt to continue the perpetual lie continuing.

And yet broad accusations, that’s a universal concept that continues to this day. Claiming Muslims are stuck in the 5th century is a broad brush, when you have secular Muslim nations like Turkey that prove otherwise. But hey, whatever scary boogeyman keeps you awake at night…

          • spyeatte

Only Obama and his sheikh knows what he is.

          • Salen Stormwing

Oh, see, there you go again, claiming he’s a Muslim. You’re bad at this not being a hypocrite thing.

          • Drakken

You haven’t been paying attention to what is happening in Turkey have you Sparky? It is increasingly going the Islamic route because of Erdogan. So get yourself an effing clue and see what is going on instead of wishing things away.

          • Salen Stormwing

Oh, because no country is allowed to have uncivil discourse but the United States? Yeah, Turkey’s not doing well right now, but neither are we. Small world, isn’t it?

      • dad1927

No. The office requires swearing allegiance and they have allegiance first to islam. Ask any muslim. If it helps you, islam is not a religion. but a political system with a religious component. Like Naziism.

        • Salen Stormwing

Nazis used religion to discriminate against religions they didn’t agree with by promoting nationalism. How’s that different from what you’re doing, right now?

          • spyeatte

The Germans gassed and burned people in ovens – something the Muslims supported…and still do.

          • Salen Stormwing

That wasn’t the question I asked

          • dad1927

Islam is not a religion, its a political system…

          • Salen Stormwing

You keep telling yourself that. Also, I like how you avoided answering my question on how you were any different than what you were denouncing. Good work on that.

          • dad1927

I don’t do things like this.. Its unacceptable to marry my first cousin, to have sex with animals, and the dead, and I don’t stick knives into people. Here is someone you support. I don’t find this behaviour acceptable. Are you in support of this religious freedom?

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — At the suggestion
of her family, college freshman Shayona Dhanak broke up with her
boyfriend and told him religious differences were to blame. Less
than two months later, her father and sister were killed, her mother
assaulted and left for dead, and her family’s home burned.

On Wednesday, a prosecutor told a
California jury that the fiery attack on the Orange County family formed
part of an elaborate and ill-conceived plot hatched and executed by
Dhanak’s then-22-year-old ex-boyfriend Iftekhar Murtaza to try to win
            her back.

            Howard Gundy, senior deputy district
attorney, said during opening statements of Murtaza’s murder trial that
hours after Dhanak split with Murtaza in 2007, he began chatting online
with his best friend about ways to kill the family to eliminate the
obstacle that had come between them. Eventually, he enlisted help from
another friend to kill the family himself, Gundy said.

“Iftekar Murtaza is going to create a
catastrophe so monumental in her life that it will leave her alone,
literally, figuratively alone, isolated and vulnerable,” Gundy told
jurors. “After creating this enormous catastrophe in her life, he is
going to swoop in like the rescuer, like the white knight.”

If convicted, Murtaza could face the death
penalty. During the proceedings, his mother sobbed from a seat in the
            Santa Ana courtroom.

Defense attorney Doug Myers reserved making an opening statement until after Gundy wraps up his case.

The trial comes after the convictions of
two of Murtaza’s friends for the killings and the sentencing of one of
            them to life in prison.

The case led investigators on a hunt for
clues from the inferno at the Dhanaks’ home in May 2007 to burning
bodies found in a park the next morning to an Arizona airport where
Murtaza had planned to take a flight to his native Bangladesh until he
            was arrested.

On Wednesday, Dhanak testified that she
had started to feel trapped in her two-year relationship with Murtaza as
she became busy with college life and he grew more controlling. She
confided in her parents, who had not supported them dating, and said her mother told her to blame the break up on religion.

“Why don’t you just tell him it is
religion? It’s never going to work out; you don’t see eye to eye,”
            Dhanak recalled her mother saying.

Dhanak, the daughter of Indian immigrants,
came from a devout Hindu family. Murtaza, born in Bangladesh, was a
            non-practicing Muslim, Gundy said.

After the couple split in March 2007,
Murtaza planned to hire a hit man to kill the family but his closest
friend, Vitaliy Krasnoperov, failed to find someone, Gundy said.

In May, Murtaza called another friend, Charles Murphy Jr., and offered him $30,000 to help him kill the family, Gundy said.

That night, Murtaza and Murphy drove from the suburbs of Los Angeles to the family’s home. The pair attacked
Dhanak’s father, Jay, and 20-year-old sister, Karishma, and left her
mother, Leela, with her throat slit, unconscious, on a neighbor’s lawn,
and set the house on fire, Gundy said.

Five hours later, the charred bodies of
Dhanak’s father and sister were found in a brush fire in a park less
than 20 miles away in Irvine. His skull had been crushed and his body doused in gasoline and ignited. Her throat was slit before she was set on fire, he said.

Murtaza was interviewed by police several
days after the killings. He told them he was at work until late the
night of the murders and then went straight home to his parents’ house,
according to a video clip from the interview played for jurors.

The next day, he was arrested at the airport in Phoenix with a ticket to Bangladesh and more than $11,000 in cash.

Weeks later, when Leela Dhanak woke from a
coma, she told investigators she recognized one of the attackers as
            Murtaza, Gundy said.

There are not too many Christians out there cutting people’s throats. Muslims are the only ones doing that now days – get them out of our country.

    • Lanna

He deceived the people to get elected… Muslims believe that deception and Taqiyya are permissible to dupe their enemies…in this case Israel and America.

      • Salen Stormwing

Deceived? I’m pretty sure he won with 51.1% of the vote and 332 Electoral Votes. Not deception. Also, fielding a better candidate might be a better idea for electoral success. Also, Barack still is not a Muslim. Stop perpetuating the lie.

Obama’s father was a muslim and he is one too, all children with muslim fathers are muslims….All Muslims are named Hussein, Hussein is an Islamic namel…..He lied to get elected….people would not vote for a Muslim who wants the destruction of America and is destroying our economy do to it….Obama has multiple connections to terrorist groups!

          • Salen Stormwing

Because no one has changed their religion ever before. Especially when the father never raised the child before.

Listen, if you want to be crazy, that’s fine, I’m just asking you have real reasons to hate him. Seriously, find a real reason, not your scary story propaganda. You only make yourself look worst to the casual viewer..

Just trying to help. Also, economy went to hell before Obama was even elected. Just… brief history lesson there.

        • spyeatte

How do you know Obama is not a Muslim? you cannot take his word for it.

          • Salen Stormwing

Because it’s been debunked by folks like Politifact for YEARS now.

Propagating the lie that he’s a Muslim just makes you look like you avoid facts, and can’t find any number of REAL reasons to dislike him. If that’s the only reason you hate him, you really need to rethink your priorities. Hate someone for REAL reasons. Like believing in bogus conspiracy theories.

          • spyeatte

Watching Obama bow low to the Saudi King gives one pause as to where his loyalties lie.

          • Salen Stormwing

Oh NO! He bowed to someone inappropriately. I’m not sure I rank that as “subversive” as Bush Sr. deciding to share the contents of his stomach into the lap of the head of the Japanese Government.

No what is outrageous is the fact that Barry Soetoro usurped the most powerful position in the world, the Commander in Chief of the United States Military and Congress doesn’t seem to give a crap. Obama has used fraudulent documents of hide his true identity. His SS# (042-68-4425) is fraudulent, his Selective Service registration of 2008 is fraudulent and his April 27th, 2011 computer generated nine layered document is a forgery and no one is investigation including those at Frontpage.

        • smrstrauss

          (1) MILLIONS of people have errors in their SS numbers caused mainly by data entry errors b SS clerks—who ever told you that SS clerks never made error? Who ever told you that a typo in entering a zip code for an SS applicant would not result in the SS number generated being from another state than that of the applicant?

          (2) The Selective Service card was forged by the guy who put it online, who was not Obama or any representative of Obama. It was a birther.

          (3) Who told you that layers were not normal on complex documents scanned into PDF? It is normal. That is how PDF works.

          • smrstrauss

Oh, and BTW, Obama’s name is OBAMA. Since he never legally changed it to Soetoro, nor was he legally adopted, it remains the same name as on his birth certificate, which BTW has been confirmed repeatedly by the officials of BOTH political parties in Hawaii, the public Index Data file and the birth notices sent to the Hawaii newspapers by the DOH of Hawaii in 1961. And the name on his birth certificate is OBAMA.

Personally, I believe if Obloody can break us, it will be a means for him to do what he would love to do; establish Marshall law and usher in the completion of fundamental change.

Deah, destruction, manipulation and embezzlement of public trust are no problem for this malignant fraud occupying/usurping the otherwise honorable office of POTUS as long as they parallel his intents and purposes. He has a well established track record of it.

    • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

Rush and all the other Conservative talk show hosts like to bash Obama 24/7 yet they refuse to talk about the Scandal of the Century, the fraudulent activity that enabled Barack Hussein Obama (Barry Soetoro) to hide his true identity. They are all money mongers and are scared to death of Obama and his power. See details below that any one of these talk show hosts could use to expose the Fraud in Chief.

      • PatriotInk

Not buying into that one pal…

        Sorry…I don’t follow you.

Mark Levin afraid? Rush Limbaugh afraid? Michael Savage afraid? They KNOW how to assault the malignant fraud. Each has their own way of taking bites out of Obloody’s charade.

        • vladdy1

          Okay, good point.

      • vladdy1

Maybe it’s because they all know what happened to Breitbart. And if it was bad enough to make the head of the Supreme Court rewrite a law there and then before passing it — without caring that his legacy is now a joke — well, I guess a lot of people in the media are scared to death.

        • The March Hare

Although anything is possible, I am not so sure about the causes of death of Andrew Breitbart, however, I have always felt there is a good possibility that either Roberts was a left wing ringer or was somehow intimidated to do what he did. Maybe he woke up with a horse head in his bed. If he wasn’t a left wing plant, then maybe he just passed himself off as a conservative for political purposes. He might be a moderate of the same ilk as McCain. Well, his stance on ObummerCare showed that he is.

      • The March Hare

Rush, Levin, Hannity and Savage put forth huge amounts of valuable information and intelligent analysis of the entire political front that to engage in the battle about the legitimacy of the president would bog them down with so much left wing flak that they would have little time to pontificate on the current issues of the day and what they would get out would get lost in the shuffle. The din that the leftists would create would tend to drive away many people unsure of their beliefs and on the edge that would otherwise listen in the hopes of learning things. It would go a long way toward defeating the conservative message. Best leave that fight to others.

        • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

They worship mammon. I was an avid Rush baby for years but after this last Presidential election I realized that Rush was just a radio version of Karl Rove. Every now and then I tune into him just to see if he has changed his pontificating. He hasn’t and since November 2012 I haven’t been able to get past ONE hour with him, he is just one big useless cry baby. There is only ONE way to rid ourselves of this Nightmare in Chief and that is by exposing all his criminal behavior. Even libtards hate criminal behavior if it is bad enough and what Obama has been doing is certainly bad enough. Crying about how bad the guy is doesn’t accomplish a damn thing except put mammon in the pockets of these radio and TV cowards.

          • The March Hare

You are so stuck in that groove you are blind to everything else. I don’t, for one minute, believe you were an avid Rush baby for years. You obviously don’t even know what a Rush baby is. You were NOT raised in a conservative family and grew up listening to Rush and discussing conservative subjects. That’s what a Rush baby is. You are just portraying yourself as that to gain some legitimacy for your obsession. While many of us are convinced he is not a legitimate natural born citizen, or even foreign born, or some or all of the things you bring up, most of us are also convinced that making that the only thing we all discuss is when the left is pulling one fast one after another and nobody is following what they are up to while being exhausted fighting an almost seemingly losing battle. I did say seemingly. There are those dealing with those issues and carrying on that fight doing a great job, but there is more needing to be addressed than just that. It is being taken care of while many others of us are dealing with the day to day and sometimes hour to hour issues the left are constantly trying to get away with. Rush is well informed and informs us well. You, on the other hand, don’t know jack S**t.

          • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

I do no “jack shit” I have been commenting with him for a day or two now here at Frontpage. David Horowitz and his entire Frontpage organization has a boat load of information about every radical on the face of the earth – loaded with excellent factual information. My question to you is SO WHAT good has it done. Oh yea, the information will be part of history books, whooopie!! Rush and the other Conservative Talk Radio show hosts have been 24/7 exposing the same stuff David Horowitz exposes, so my question to you is SO WHAT good has it done. Oh yea, we all scream an yell and NOTHING happens. The Vets accomplished more in two or three days than anyone of these mammon worshipers. The ONLY folks that have made a difference were those who showed up at the voting polls and in Washington DC with their Tea Party credentials. If it happens again in 2014 America can than all of those true patriots, not the useless talking heads at Conservative blogs, web pages, TV shows and radio shows.

As I said the only way to rid our country of this NIGHTMARE in Chief is through the law. Prison settles all issues. We have had a few go down that road and it was the end of them. If this Fraud in Chief is sent packing off to Leavenworth the guts of radical progressive movement goes with him.

So Mr. Jack Schit, what say you to this Rush baby who is actually to the “right” of Rush and Hannity.

          • The March Hare

In fact, the more I think about you and your OCD style, I am starting to come to the conclusion you are a leftist communist working the comment sections of frontpagemag in order to divert discussion into a shrill shouting match and take away the opinion exchange on these pages. You act more like a troll than anything else. You sure aren’t much of a contributor.

          • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

Contributor to what, Horowitz has done it all, he has exposed all the radicals in this administration and beyond EXCEPT he has failed to expose the scandal that will end this Nightmare in Chief. He is like the guy who hit two grand slam home runs to get a team into the ninth inning and made the error that cost his team the game in the tenth inning. All folks will remember is that damn tenth inning. I am no troll, I just want this nightmare to end and the only way is to expose the fraud.

    • gawxxx

you know patriot I agree with you but he has a lot of willing ” lemmings” that are residents of this nation , what does that say about this nation! , we as a “whole ” have earned the government we have , it is our fault that this nation is in the state it is in , are we prepared to sacrifice to put it back on track ? , I doubt it and it’s sad to admit .

      • PatriotInk

Unfortunalely, I think you are right. Well put good and faithful Patriot.

      • Drakken

I agree with what you said, but, there are millions of veterans that will no longer be silent as what is happening to our great country, this is only the beginning!

        • Hass

I’d like to see (wishful thinking) your citizens and military to do an Egypt to that Usurper.

Francis Rice with the NBRA has evidently started the Impeachment process. She says he has gone to far.

    • PatriotInk

Francis Rice is one tough woman. She is petite but don’t let her size fool you! She is an intellectual giant and has a will of iron. I admire the woman. She had Obloody figured out before he perjured himself the first time.

  • Biff Henderson

If the One showed up at a presser with a Pentagram burned into his forehead one of his shills would place the blame on a Republican.

  • Doublenickle

Funny how the very House Republicans who shutdown the government show up for a political rally to view thier handiwork- and then point to the Whitehouse as the cause. And the worst part of this is how many people believe this Broadway play acting.
Cruz, Palin and and Bachman could have removed those barricades with a stroke of a pen- but they didn’t.
People need to understand that the President does not have any control over how taxpayer dollars are spent. None. The control of the budget lies solely within Congress. Obama doesn’t have a choice about what gets shut down- when Congress shuts the bank account down, there is nothing Obama can do.

      He has veto power.

    • Guy Fromage

Obama doesn’t have a choice about what gets shut down

Completely wrong. House Republicans have passed numerous bills to release funds for a whole host of government functions. It is the Reid-Hussein cabal preventing this funding from going through.

      • Doublenickle

So House Republicans can pick and choose which government functions are allowed to operate and which ones don’t.

        • Guy Fromage

Imagine that. The House of the People deciding what gets funded. It’s tyranny I tell ya!

          Oh, wait.

    • CowboyUp

No choice huh? Then why wasn’t the illegal immigration rally blocked? Why were operations that aren’t federally funded ordered to shut down and blocked off? Why did the administration try to shut down Mt. Vernon, which isn’t even on federal land? The fact that they’re spending more time and money to shut down open air monuments than it would take to keep them open tells me you’re full of bravo sierra, or they wouldn’t have the money for that either.

      • Doublenickle

So you know how much security costs to keep the National monuments open?

        • Guy Fromage

In many cases, much less than trying to close them. Many are simple statues. It costs nothing to do nothing, but there are costs associated with dragging in barriers with which to surround them, and hiring thugs to guard the barriers.

        • CowboyUp

I don’t have to know a dollar amount to know it costs a lot more, in both man-hours and equipment hours, to put up those barriers and detail the extra people needed to keep people out, than not. Some of these sites weren’t even getting any government security until they closed them. Anything else I can clear up for you?

    • Gislef

The bank account hasn’t been shut down.

The President takes the money allocated to the Executive Branch and allocates it as he wishes, with a few exceptions. Unless there is no money allocated to the EB (which isn’t the case), President Obama can fund whatever he wishes there, with the money given to him.

      • Doublenickle

Sounds good except that is not how Federal funding works. Congress decides how much money is spent in which Department. In this case, the DOI- Department of the Interior. The President cannot re-allocate funds between government entities.

        • Guy Fromage

During a shutdown, the executive has expanded discretion. It’s a shame he uses that discretion to harass and arrest disabled veterans, and people simply trying to get a look at Mt. Rushmore.

    • Matthew Vadum

      Ignorance or lies here?

      • Guy Fromage

A little (no, make that a lot) of both, I suspect. But with lefty sycophants, it’s so hard to tell…

      • Doublenickle

        I’ll let you decide.
It is true that the Senate refused to pass the House budget- so Obama didn’t have to veto the budget.
But the Republican House knew it was DOA when they submitted the budget at the last minute with the conditions they had attached to it.
So the Republican House chose to let the government shut down.

        • Guy Fromage

Actually, no. I don’t think Republicans expected quite this level of spite and pettiness from the Reid/Hussein cabal. Even a savvy leader like Reagan, believed that the likes of Tip O’Neal had the American peoples’ interests at heart.

          What a mistake that was.

  • justquitnow

No matter what the story or facts, no matter what really happened and why, you guys can cram that round peg into that square hole. The narrative is always the same to the same eye rolling, yawning degree.

    • Guy Fromage

IOW, you can’t bring yourself to defend this most contemptibly indefensible act of Reid/Hussein, against America’s heroes, so you will simply bang the table and make some vaguely indignant noises.

      • justquitnow

It’s a construct you moron. It’s a created thing by the same people responsible for the shutdown. It’s political theatre….for people like you. Enjoy.

        • Guy Fromage

Wrong again. Neither the congressional democrats nor Hussein were not involved in the event, other than to create the conditions to warrant it.

  • Rosasolis

When our National News in Netherlands reported that the American Military
Cemetary in Margraten was to be closed to the public, I was shocked! Your
president has become a weak dictator without out any feelings, or respect
for the fallen war heros, or for their families and friends! I am a former
concert and oratorio singer, and I have given recitals for the invalids
in Veteran hospitals. Although many are suffering daily from terrrible incurable
injuries from battles fought years ago, I was impressed by their optimisim
for a better future for humanity.
The closure of the Memorial in Washington, is the worst form of disrespect
I can think of, for a nation that has fought so bravely for freedom!
I am impressed by the support from Sarah Palin for the veterans.
We keep reading of “Impeachment proceedures”, but nothing ever seems
to go forward; it just seems to drag on and on without any end-result.
Not only is this president causing havoc and distress in America,
but also all over the whole Western World! He is not interested in Europe
or working with the EU…Many old veterans have not forgotten us in Europe.
Before I close, do you still remember the lovely song:
    O Valiant Hearts?

  • LoJoFo

Let’s not call it the “Washington Monument Strategy.” Let’s call it terrorism.

    • The March Hare

Yeah, but think about it. We are hoping that the leftist’s overblown rhetoric will portray them for what they are. Using overblown rhetoric on our side will not be a true depiction of who we are and give a false image. We don’t need to be accused of smear tactics. The truth will work much better. We just need to hold more Republicans feet to the fire and get them to say the truth and say it loud, clearly and often.

  • Clare Spark

Americans, including veterans, relate very personally to the American landscape, including national parks and war memorials. That is held against us by the “anti-imperialist left”. I wrote about the Left revulsion against the sublime American landscape here: “The Hebraic American Landscape: Sublime or despotic?” Don’t miss the footnotes that name names.

  • Freedom Call
  • ozzy3_97

The march of Veterans had nothing to do with politicians. It was in support of American. The politicians that showed up have nothing to do with America. They have everything to do with the destruction of America, support of corporations and enslaving the population of America.

You who cry…”Republicans are to blame””Democrats are to blame” are feeding the cause of government. You are not feeding the cause of America.

If you can’t see the cause of Americas misery you are not looking in the right place. The government is out of control, the media is controlled and any politician who says they are in support of the people of America is not….:(

    • Matthew Vadum

      Um, what?

      • Guy Fromage

Standard leftist tactic. When their side is clearly in the wrong, they will use one-off identities to try and elicit opprobrium against a third party boogy man (and who makes a better boogy man than the evil corporation), in order to distract from their side’s foibles.

  • tagalog

As for removing the barricades, the national parks run according to a statute that dedicates the national parks “For the benefit and enjoyment of the People.” Those national lands are OURS. They are NOT the government’s. Tear down the barricades wherever they appear and enjoy and benefit from the national park land. Don’t let the government buffalo you.

“We are for cutting spending, we are for reforming our tax code, we are for reforming entitlements,” (Democrat) Pfeiffer said. That is utterly incorrect. Completely false. Cut from a whole cloth. A lie.

When the Republicans have “compromised” with Democrats on raising the debt limit if the Democrats would agree to have talks -just TALKS, not actual action- the debt limit gets raised but the talks NEVER occur. It’s all just jollying the credulous Republicans along.

In a way, it’s enlightening to see what happens when the Republicans begin to skirt around the idea that such talks actually must happen. Then Democrats begin to show their true totalitarian colors.

    • The March Hare

That’s right. The shutdown is supposed to be lack of operating funds. That doesn’t justify closing open, unattended monuments or scenic views to cause pain to the citizens.

  • Gee

I spent 9 years of my life in the service of the United States Army – this government makes me think that I must have been one very stupid sucker to have done it

    • davarino

Thanks for your service. No, you were not a stupid sucker for your service. We all became lazy in our defense of liberty, thinking all the bad guys had been defeated and allowed the enemy to take over. We have to wake up and engage the enemy again and be vigilent from now on.

Your service was and still is honorable my fellow Patriot. You swore (as I did) an oath to the Constitution, NOT to any cult of personality. The battle is still on, just needing different tactics. Your service kept us safe and protected us. It is just that it is never ending and takes many forms. Thank you. It was the United States of America and the American way of life you protected, not this administration nor the infiltrators it its service.

Barry Soetoro more than likely registered at Occidental College as an Indonesian Citizen, that would make him a DUAL CITIZEN. He had an opportunity to renounce that Indonesian Citizenship by registering with the Selective Service in 1980 but he used his Indonesian Citizenship as an excuse not to register. That came back to kick him in his ass in 2008 when he registered fraudulently to meet the standards of the law requiring a Presidential candidate to be registered with the Selective Service. This alone should give David Horowitz reason to expose this Fraud in Chief. See details below about Obama and Occidental College.
