Exposed: The Final Conversation Between Morsi and Egyptian Military

Picture 5On July 5, El Watan (“the nation”), one of Egypt’s most popular newspapers, published the final dialogue between General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Dr. Muhammad Morsi, which took place on Tuesday July 2, a few hours before Morsi’s final speech to the Egyptian people.  A reporter who was taken to an adjacent room was allowed to witness and transcribe their conversation from a TV screen.  I translate the entire speech as it appears on El Watan below:

Exchange Between Morsi and Sisi

Morsi: What’s the military’s position concerning what’s going on?  Is it just going to stand by watching?  Shouldn’t it protect the legitimacy?

Sisi: What legitimacy?  The entire army is with the will of the people, and the overwhelming majority of people, according to documented reports, don’t want you.

Morsi: My supporters are many and they won’t be silent.

Sisi: The army will not allow anyone to destroy the nation, no matter what happens.

Morsi: What if I don’t want to leave?

Sisi: The matter is settled and no longer up to you.  Try to leave with your dignity and tell those whom you call supporters to go back to their homes in order to prevent bloodshed, instead of threatening the people through them.

Morsi: But this way it will be a military coup, and America won’t leave you alone.

Sisi: The people concern us, not America.  And since you’ve started to talk this way, I’ll talk to you candidly.  We have evidence to condemn you and to condemn many governmental officials of compromising Egypt’s national security.  The judiciary will have its say and you will all be judged before the whole people.

Morsi: Okay, can you permit me to make a few phone calls and then afterwards I’ll decide on what to do?

Sisi: You are not permitted; but we can let you check up on your family only.

Morsi: Am I imprisoned or what?

Sisi: You are under arrest from this moment.

Morsi: Don’t think the Brotherhood is going to stand by if I leave office.  They will set the world on fire.

Sisi: Just let them try something and you’ll see the reaction of the army.  Whoever among them wants to live in peace, he’s more than welcome; otherwise, [if they try anything] we will not leave them alone.  We will not single anyone out, and the Brotherhood is from the Egyptian people, so don’t try to use them as fuel for your disgusting war.  If you truly love them, leave office and let them go to their homes.

Morsi: Anyway, I’m not going, and the people outside of Egypt are all with me, and my supporters are not going.

Sisi: Anyway, I’ve advised you.

Morsi: Okay, but take care—I’m the one who hired you as minister and can remove you.

Sisi: I became minister of defense due to the military’s will and not yours—and you know this very well.  Moreover, you can’t remove me; that’s it—you no longer have any legitimacy.

Morsi: Okay, if I agree to be removed, will you allow me to travel abroad and promise not to imprison me?

Sisi: I can’t offer you any promises.  It’s the justice [department] that will pass its verdict.

Morsi: Okay, if that’s the case, I’ll make it war, and we’ll see who will prevail in the end.

Sisi: Naturally the people will win.

  • Pulau Pinang

Morsi, still drunk with political power to the last minuite, tries to abscond, and leave Egyptians and Egypt to its own mire of turmoil and disarray.

    • D_boy

Yeah with what is left of the 4 Billion Obama gave the Brothers

    • Aizino Smith

Naw he would use a third country to fund raise, conspire and cause trouble for Egypt.

      • Pulau Pinang

Invariably…..probably from Qatar, who has been funding the MB since before the election.

  • adumbrate

Holy holy – is that for real? That is an amazing transcript.

The inference to outside support is unbelievable. I mean, Morsi takes the position he is untouchable because America / Obama has his back.

    Obama is a snake.

    • Adrian Rainbow

What, can’t read? He implied America would be against a ‘coup’ and no more.

      • Aizino Smith

America is split between Democrats and Republicans, Out and out communists, libertarians and conservatives. Morsi knows this. He did not mean everyone in America. He meant the faction that wields the most power, the Democrats, who leader titular or otherwise is Obama.

Morsi knows that his Muslims brother Obama will help or try to help him.

Why would I call Obama a Muslim? His Muslim half brothers were at his wedding and he at theirs. but the brother who lives in a hut that Sallly Struthers could help with a few dollars a month or that Obama could lif out of poverty by a gift of $20 a month he refuses. Why? that 1/2 brother has a Christian mother.

        Hut, Sweet hut!

Yup, Obama is a Muslim and Morsi knows it.

      • defcon 4

Gee, the zero doesn’t seem to have any problems w/the attempted coup happening in Syria. I guess some coups are more acceptable than others to the current regime.

        • Adrian Rainbow

What coup’? There was originally a rebellion, now there is a three way fight between the insurgent Wahabi/Salafist sects and the secular originators of the uprising, both are fighting each other, and Assad’s army, who are fighting not just for loyalty to the sovereign but in a lot of cases because of the fear of the Muslim brotherhood intentions to hijack any outcome.
Calling it a ‘coup’ doe’s not make it so, neither doe’s it bolster your ignorant and vacuous argument.

  • Dan Goucho

Solid proof that Obama and his corrupt administration is supporting a hard-line Islamist and his Muslim Brotherhood.

To see the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood for the west in general and the U.S in particular, approved by the Shura Council, go here:

    • defcon 4

Um, the Egyptian military have been persecuting and murdering Coptic Christians.

      • chhelo

Whats your proof it has been the military persecuting Coptic Christians. I thought it was the Muslim Brotherhood and hardline Islamist.

        • defcon 4

An Egyptian army APC deliberately ran down Coptic Christians who were publicly protesting. There was no investigation done and no charges brought against ANYBODY. WTFU.

      • herb benty

defCON- cut the crap, the Christians and secularists are GLAD the military stopped the MB gov’t…radical MB supporters were killing Christians as their coran orders them to! TWIT!!

    • Adrian Rainbow

What Morsi said could be interpreted in several different ways, to only truly ‘unemotional’ interpretation is that the US would be uncomfortable about a ‘coup’.
Your agenda is clear, but not your ‘solid proof’, try again .

      • gomurr

When, as president, you’re told by the head of the military that you are under arrest, it’s a coup. Our government is directed to cut off aid to any country where a military coup takes place.

        • Jassarpour

Yes, and that is why funds should never have went to Egypt in the first place. It was done illegally. They did not meet the criteria to receive anything, as they were never a stable democracy which was part of the criteria.

        • Aizino Smith

” In Coup d’État: A Practical Handbook, military historian Edward Luttwak states that “[a] coup consists of the infiltration of a small, but critical, segment of the state apparatus, which is then used to displace the government from its control of the remainder.” The armed forces, whether military or paramilitary, are not a defining factor of a coup d’état”

It is a coup when a political party games the system, when it comes to voter laws, the timing of elections, parliamentary procedures, suing the apparatus of the state to harass or imprison the political opposition. All parts of political conspiracy need not be secret.

In Egypt they rushed the elections, thus ensuring a MB majority in parliament. Then they set about cramming a “constitution” down the throats of the people. If a referendum had been held, the constitution would not have had a majority. The constitution was intended to entrench the MB and disenfranchise others. That is a coup.

It is as much as a coup as the gang of 8 or gang of 14 cramming sh_t down our mouths every day in this country. they conspire with senate procedure, reconciliation, the press corps to bring about whatever they want.

          • gomurr

I don’t disagree with you. I never said the military or paramilitary was a defining factor. Are you saying the ousting of Morsi’s regime and subsequent arrest by the military was a coup d’état and not a coup, or neither? If so, what do you call it?
I certainly agree with your last paragraph.

        • Adrian Rainbow

When as President of a democracy you ban Christians from voting, it’s no longer a democracy. And any way your statement has NOTHING to do with my point, stay on topic.

          • gomurr

What are you wearing a hair shirt, or something, Adrian? I didn’t realize as Director of The Conversation you were allowed to scold me for my take on the conversation.

          • Adrian Rainbow

As I thought shallow and pretentious, you don’t understand the mechanics of debate, formal or informal.

        • defcon 4

Except in the case of Syria, where the zero is supporting a rabid bunch of islamonazis in their coup attempt against the legitimate government of Syria.

  • USARetired

If he thinks the ‘Ghetto Hopper Head Illegal One’, O’Bozo has his back, guess again, America will not stand for it!

    • Adrian Rainbow

He never said that, he said America would be uncomfortable with a coup, Jesus, talk about convenient interpretation.

      • For truth seekers

you believe in Jesus, but not in God? strange.

  • UCSPanther

Ceasescu was said to have had a similar conversation with one of his generals just before his downfall.

Now if only he had listened to that man instead of having his Securitate bodyguards murder him, he would have enjoyed the rest of his natural life…

  • glpage

“Morsi: Don’t think the Brotherhood is going to stand by if I leave office. They will set the world on fire.”

And the difference between what they will do now as opposed to what they had been planning to do is what? Other than they will use Morsi’s ouster as an excuse.

  • NoNWO4me

I am a natural born patriotic American and I DO NOT support Morsi or anyone who is like him or anyone (including our illegal holder of the title of “president”).
I do support the will of the Egyptian people. They have more courage than many many Americans in that they stood up for what is “right”.
The Egyptian people show more courage than most (the larger percentage) of those who claim to be Americans.

    • defcon 4

WHy don’t we ask the Coptic Christians or Egypt’s former Jewish population what they think of the Egyptian people.

      • NoNWO4me

Why don’t we ask the American sheeple why the Egyptian people have more balls and respect for THIR CONSTITUTION than the American sheeple do. Fuck the Jews.

  • For truth seekers

Oh my God. am I dreaming? learned and educated people, repeating “hi hitler” in harmony…
is there anybody here capable of critical thinking… who is this “El Watan”, who owns it, … is this “conversation” authenticated?

I do not agree at all with the Muslim Brotherhood, let me give you just one example: Islam forbids loans on interests, but he’s going after an interest-bearing loan from the IMF (the real usurpers of humanity), while God has declared war on those who deal with interest (ie: usury)…

    Quran (chap.2, verse 278-279):
278 O you who believe! Be afraid of Allah and give up what remains (due to you) from Riba (usury) (from now onward), if you are (really) believers.

279 And if you do not do it, then take a notice of war from Allah and His Messenger but if you repent, you shall have your capital sums. Deal not unjustly (by asking more than your capital sums), and you shall not be dealt with unjustly (by receiving less than your capital sums).

Now the reality is that the guy has been voted by a striking majority, wasn’t left to work a single day without strikes, or demonstrations, or both, etc… he inherited an economy in dire straights… authenticated lies of TV news showing mass demonstrations titled “against Morsi”, while those were Morsi supporters.

    • Adrian Rainbow

There is no God and the Koran is just another work of fiction like the Torah and the Bible, except of course, most of the western World has been educated and no longer subscribe, unlike the backward followers of the Jew murdering pedophile Mohammed., and it’s ‘Heil Hitler’ by the way.

      • For truth seekers

Kindly show some respect: if I made accusations about your father or mother, you’ll just explode in my face. Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is more to us than mothers and fathers.

I respect your freedom of disbelief, as God himself gave you freedom of disbelieve in him, but don’t transgress by insulting and accusing. Now only blame yourself when you come to know the truth, and it will come fast my friend. all our life is but a few seconds compared to 1 day of the hereafter, and even by our worldly standards, it’s peanut…

But it’s just sincere compassion to human beings that drives me (and to balance the effect of brainwashing you had since childhood from the Zionist machine at work), with a framework that God has put to me so I don’t become unjust to others, as it’s not a personal battle to prove right or wrong, it’s a duty to transmit the message of God as it is. So if you want to hear more about it, I am your servant, and if not, fine. no tricks, no traps.

Quran (English translation, chap.12, verse 103-104) – parenthesis are comments from the translator:
103 And most of mankind will not believe even if you desire it eagerly.
104 And no reward you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) ask of them (those who deny your Prophethood) for it; it (the Qur’an) is no less than a Reminder and an advice unto the ‘Alamin (men and jinn).

Quran (English translation, chap.3, verse 20)
So if they dispute with you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) say: “I have submitted myself to Allah (in Islam), and (so have) those who follow me.” And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans): “Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?” If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His) slaves.

Obviously, all of us are comfortable with what we are, as it is scaring to a lot of people to think they are wrong on such a huge life issue as believing or not in God. But it takes courage and high character to put oneself in question and say: “may be I’m wrong, let me look at all stories objectively”. Pride is difficult to get rid off. human nature + Zionism mind-formatting…

and apart from insulting my beloved Prophet, who doesn’t need me to defend him, as God is defending him… thanks for correcting me (I am not a native), and in English it’s “Hail Hitler” not “Heil Hitler”, it seems.

        • Adrian Rainbow

What should I respect, the homophobia, the misogyny or the pedophilia? If statement of fact is insulting, then maybe YOU should be questioning what it is you follow.
Fact, Mohammed married a 6yr old.
Fact, Mohammed stoned a women to death.
Fact, Mohammed personally murdered between 700 and 900 Jews from one single tribe.
You follow Islam and claim others are brainwashed, do you realize how silly that is?
Zionist machine? if your brainwashing, and the Christians brainwashing don’t work on me, why would Jewish brainwashing?
I cannot take seriously any one who believes in ANY God, it’s just plain stupid.
the West eats religions, and Allah knows this!

      • defcon 4

But there’s only religion that would gladly kill you for denying their faith.

  • Arrbuc

Good for Egypt, America should stand with the people it is Obvious the Muslim Brotherhood is still a terror group only wanting money and power.. Stop them their and stop them in America..

  • tracy

Yeah, let him travel abroad so he can start up some more Muslim brothers to join the hood and if Obama backs him and the hood Obama needs to go too.

    • gomurr

Obama already has 5 or 6 Muslim Brotherhood members in his administration.

  • Ellman48

“Morsi: Don’t think the Brotherhood is going to stand by if I leave office. They will set the world on fire.”

We need – STILL – to understand that Islamists don’t make idle threats. If we had understood this during Bill Clinton’s administrations maybe 911 would have never happened and the course of world history would have been very different.

Sisi tells Morsi to advise his Brotherhood supporters to go home to their families. It appears he is as naive as Americans about the will, intentions and determination of Islamists to impose Sharia Law on Egypt, to resurrect the Caliphate, and to ultimately dominate the world. If only Obama were as transparent about his intentions as the Brotherhood is about its intentions!!!

    • For truth seekers

Zionism is dominating the world my friend (monetary system and banks, oil, corporate world, pop culture, …), and it’s afraid of Islam, because it’s the only remaining threat to them. Now it’s not enough, since Israel has to become the superpower of the world (replacing USA), and the reality: it soon will be.

But Muslims are in a pity situation, and even before Zionism, they are the no.1 enemies of Islam, by being untrue to their belief. But to be fair, they don’t have a media machine, like the one Zionism have.

      • defcon 4

True believer in islamofascist propaganda? Or just a plain old delusional Jew hater? Or is there any difference?

  • Ellman48

For me this conversation reveals the following: we are all to be pitied for having such pathetic men rule over us!

    • For truth seekers

you’ve been trapped and made to believe you are in control and have freedom of choice through voting… big masquerade where big money buys everything (including subconsciousness)…. you have no choice, you have owners, owners of America, same owners of the banking/monetary system, “indirect” owners of oil fields, corporate world…
nothing to be proud of in your western civilization, until you overhaul your system. as for us, it’s even worse, we don’t have a system in the first place…

  • gomurr

    This gets more interesting everyday…

  • Mileaway

Travel abroad of course meant: Come to America where Obama would give him political asylum.

  • Frank W Brown

    verrry interesting!

  • Sisi bin Mubarak

What a laughing stock this nation is!
