U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Accused of Breaking Sharia Law

anne-patterson-e1359958746899The U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, is being accused of some outlandish behavior and remarks. Last week, several Egyptian papers and websites, including Al Dostor, reported that Dia’ al-Din al-Garahi, a human rights lawyer and president of the Justice Center for Freedoms and Media, submitted a complaint to the Attorney General accusing Patterson “of libel and defamation of the Egyptian people and making statements that are likely to disturb society and threaten Egypt’s security.”

According to Report 935 of the Attorney General, “the American Ambassador, after drinking alcohol in contradiction to Islamic Sharia law, said that she rules Egypt and that the Egyptian people are under her authority, that she controls them like a puppet, and that the Egyptian people have no idea of what is transpiring around them.”

The report further adds, citing one Dr. Latif Shaker, a Palestinian writer living in America, that the U.S. ambassador had earlier said that “the Jews will return to Egypt in 2013 and that they are the masters of the earth”; that “Egypt will go bankrupt during this year and Egyptians will turn to the United States to save them from famine and poverty.” The report further accuses Patterson of saying that “the land of Egypt belongs to the Jews, for it was theirs originally,” and that “the Jews were kicked out of Egypt after building the pyramids and DNA analysis reveals that King Tut was a Jew.”

Apparently the Palestinian Shaker’s claims were made earlier this year, for the following press release appears on the U.S. Embassy in Cairo website:

Statement on Falsehoods in the Media

Online and media reports claiming that the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Anne W. Patterson, made statements to the website of the Israeli newspaper Maariv asserting that Israel has the right to Egyptian land are completely false. The Ambassador has never conducted an interview with Maariv and never made any of the reported statements. We encourage journalists to call our press office (which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) to check the facts about U.S. Government policies, activities and statements before publishing stories about the United States.

Regardless, the accusations—which certainly seem to fit the “war is deceit” paradigm—have now been formally filed with Egypt’s Attorney General and only time will tell what, if anything, will come of it in the new Egypt.

What if the Egyptian Ambassador to the USA was quoted as saying "I'm calling the shots at the White House. Obama does whatever I say. Soon, America will be Islamic"….?

If so, the comments would cause little or no controversy (except among Islamophobic, right-wingers),…would in fact be celebrated by the media and various Democratic Party officials as evidence of America's multicultural diversity, and the Ambassador would no doubt be subsequently feted at a WH dinner….where Obama would greet him personally at the door, and of course bow in willing submission.

      islamophobic right wingers?

all you diversity promoters have no idea that some types of diversity go against everything our country is about

Wake up – islam would be welcome if they were tolerant of other religions – they are not- read the quoran

and listen to people who have left islam because of this

take a minute and learn something

      • JacksonPearson

"take a minute and learn something"
Heinrich Heine once wrote a clever poem titled "Marie Antoinette," in which the ghost of everyone’s favorite French queen entertains her guests with "strictest etiquette." The irony of the poem is that neither Antoinette nor her guests realize that their heads are missing. They were all beheaded during the French Revolution, but without their heads, they don’t have the brains to acknowledge their headlessness.

Islam is currently in a similar situation. Muhammad’s empire of faith has managed to thrive in the modern world for one simple reason: Muslims have kept Muhammad’s dark past a secret. Indeed, they have gone beyond keeping it a secret; they have somehow convinced themselves (and many others) that Muhammad was an outstanding moral example, perhaps even the greatest moral example of all time. Perpetuating this fraud has been, in my opinion, the most stupendous deception in world history.

True, there are plenty of instances in Muhammad’s life that one could view as the deeds of a moral individual, and Muslims are quick to point out his acts of charity and his dedication to prayer. However, in assessing the overall character of a man, we must take into account all of his actions, not just the ones that support our feelings about him. For instance, suppose I become convinced that the greatest person in history was a man named John Gacy. I could point to his charity work at local hospitals, to his activities in the Boy Scouts and the Jaycees[2], to his patient endurance of numerous physical ailments, to his community activities such as neighborhood barbecues and other social gatherings, to his generosity to others, to his dedication to his family, and to his outstanding work ethic, which made him one of the pillars of his local business community. Yet, if I am to make a case for the moral superiority of Mr. Gacy, I must not leave out the fact that he raped, tortured, and murdered more than thirty boys and buried them under his house. Islam is no better!

Jackson Pearson, your ‘take’ on this is brilliant! I will be sending this article to my circle of friends, but will make a special point as to their reading your comment.

  • Parenthetical Phrase

I don't believe any of this. It sounds like the imaginations of some Egyptians and Palestinians have truly run wild. It would not be the first time.

  • rivkah f.

More nonsense and the usual scapegoating. Perhaps the powers that be in Egypt don't like the fact that the US ambassador is a woman. I do not believe a word of it.

  • Ragnar

Why would any country send three female Secretaries of State to negotiate with Arab countries, and follow up with an ignoramus like Kerry?

    • edith

actually I don't quite get what you mean but what you say about Kerry is true—–and the way he walks just like a country lad

    • peggy

They are not secretaries of state. Clinton WAS the secretary of state, Kerry, another traitor, is secretary of state now. Sad, but true.

  • Guest

This is crazy talk !! No diplomat would utter theses words and specially Ambassador Patterson. This is yet another issue to take they eyes and energy off the reality and the massive problems Egypt is dealing with.

  • Diana

This is absurd, no ambassador would say things like this. And she isn't a Muslim so she can drink alcohol if she likes, Shariah allows non-Muslims to drink alcohol!

    • edith

Diana my husband who was a Muslim told me that there are only three things forbidden in Islam 1)eating pork,2)drinking blood,3)eating dead animals. He told me you are ADVISED to AVOID alchol(which by the way, is an Arabic word).????????

      • kafir4life

Good Lord, woman!!! Are you saying that muslims eat LIVE animals??? I'd never heard that!! All the animals I eat are not only dead, but cut up into manageable pieces. Ask him if they ever fight back.

On the alcohol….yes, it's not "prohibited". But there are consequences, that's all. 100 lashes I believe is the price of a drink in islam.

        • defcon 4

I think more lieberal supporters of islam should be paying the islamic price for their imbibing of spirits — it would signify their true commitment to interfaith BS, tolerance and peaceful co-existence. And what's a little flogging between friends?

  • F.K. Juliano

Does Patterson favor paying tens of billions of dollars worth of jizya to Egypt? If so, I hope her Muslim friends make all kinds of trouble for her.

  • JerryJ26

What? No comment from AdinaK yet?

    • Lan Astaslem

      changed your name whateverdummy?

    • pierce

      You are a complete ignoramus.

  • cxt

Is this like the shark that was somehow trained by Mossad to attack islamic beachgoers?

Sad thing is that some people in that neck of the woods will actualy think its true.

Thing is we are still–in the abscence (sp) of a forceful, full throated denial by the Morrsi government we are STILL giving them a ton of military aid.

Why does not someone start acting like a grown-up and start making our help conditionial?

Is it that hard to tell somebody that if they want the multi-million dollar fighter jets they need to stop people from hurling insane accusations at our ambassador? Or at the very least answer them in an offical capacity?

  • antisharia

Muslims, like leftists, are not affected by reality. The truth doesn't matter so long as they get what they want.

    • David Samson

Antisharia has hit the nailonthe head. Reality has no place in the worlds of islamofascist and Leftist ideologies.

  • http://twitter.com/ygalg @ygalg

I won't be surprised, she'll be sacrificed. smart to get out as sooner as possible, otherwise it will end up for her like Benghazi

  • Raymond in DC

I'm far less diplomatic than the folks at the US Embassy in Cairo. A more direct response would have included the statement, "Anyone who believes the US ambassador – or any US ambassador – would make such statements is, as you say in Arabic, mejnoun – or as we might say in America, a fu**ing idiot."

  • ffortnightly

Of course it's nonsense. Even Adina's not responding to it!

  • Araf

I'm sure she did say those things. She probably neglected to wear the tinfoil hat that would block thought rays sent out by Mossad to make her embarrass herself, the US, and Israel. So, by the way, did the shark that scared people who were swimming in Egyptian waters a while back; had it worn its tinfoil hat, it would have headed somewhere else; but without it, it was just a slave to the Mossad.

If the truth doesn't fit.. invent the truth. That is the Arab way

    • Mike Thompson

Well what she is saying is true but the real Jews are the black americans who came on slaveships

  • defcon 4

I think the islamic states of the world should indict the zero for apostasy from Islam and draft a warrant for his arrest. Of course the US government should honor such a warrant in the interests of peaceful co-existence, harmony, tolerance and cultural enrichment.

  • patricia jones

The lines between reality and illusion are so blurred – people will believe anything. Egyptians are not alone in having their minds manipulated by corrupt Governments controlling sleepwalking masses – it is now at plague proportions the world over.

  • Hayahdim

Beware the ‘Beast Man’, for he is the Devil’s pawn. Alone among “Ahayah’s” creations, he kills for sport, lust and greed. Yea, he will murder his brother (Yahcob) to possess his brother’s land. He will not stop till all that is yours, is his. The theif that stalks the earth, the killers for Land & Countries. Let him [not] breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his moutian lair, for he is the harbinger of DEATH. He is the Eagle of Obadiah, Esau of Malachi, of Rome, Idumia, of the Caucas. His flag is the Eagle. Yea, he kills for sport. He is EDOM !

  • Mister

All I can say is that Anne Patterson is a snake and because of her poison several of our previous and current pres is using to destroy the middle east completely by promoting chaos through the islamists thinking that that would keep us safe. Very stupid and very risky reasoning and shows that the West still doesn’t understand the mentality of their friends=opponent enemies.
