Palestinian Stone Attacks and Double Standards

When it comes to Israel there’s a perpetual double-standard that exists. And indeed today there seems to be a debate about whether stone-throwing is violent and can be deadly. In Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen and the United Arab Emirates execution by stoning is a legal punishment.

Wikipedia defines stoning as “a method of execution in which an organized group throws stones or rocks at the person they wish to execute. Although it takes many different forms, stoning has been used throughout history and in many religious and cultural traditions as a kind of community justice or capital punishment.” Stones kill and are indeed dangerous and violent.

In the past, Amnesty International has called upon countries not to abuse human rights by renouncing the use of stoning as a punishment.  Even a Public Relations pro who works in spin wouldn’t possibly debate the fact that stoning is a violent, potentially deadly crime.

Indeed, there are so many examples: In March, headlines in Kashmir, India blared that police charged four people with murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code for throwing rocks at cars. There is a massive man-hunt in place to find two other stone-throwers who have not yet been captured.

In a 2010 video that circulated online widely in northwest Pakistan, a woman was stoned to death by Taliban members.  Her crime was being seen out with a man, and State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said, “We condemn in the strongest possible terms the brutal stoning of a woman in Orakzai, Pakistan. … The vicious attack … is a chilling example of the cowardly disregard violent extremists have for human life.”

“The stoning of this couple is a heinous crime. The Taliban and other insurgent groups are growing increasingly brutal in their abuses against Afghans,” said Sam Zarifi, Amnesty International’s Asia-Pacific Director.

An international women’s rights’ organization, “The Violence is Not Our Culture Campaign,” was launched in 2007 in Istanbul and they state that “Stoning is a grave and serious violation of International Human Rights Law. Stoning breeches the International Convention of Civil and Political Rights (1966).” In that same year, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour said, “Stoning is in clear violation of international law.” A young mother found guilty of adultery in Sudan was sentenced to death by stoning and there was an outcry from human rights organizations. At the time, Amnesty International said: “Stoning is a method of execution designed to increase the suffering of the victim, which means it is an extreme and cruel form of torture.”

America is clear about rocks. American border patrol police are on the record as saying they “considers rock-throwing to be deadly force which sometimes demands the same in response.”  And rest assured, anyone who disagrees should throw rocks at their local police station – will anyone be amazed when they are shot?

Day after day, stoning occurs in Israel, and the Palestinian Arabs are emblazoned with title “non-violent protestors.” Yet, these are indeed very violent attacks, and stone throwers are violent terrorists. As Israeli Cabinet member Naftali Bennett said, “Rocks kill… Some people take rock throwing lightly, and prevent action against them. Rock throwers are trying to murder and they need to be treated accordingly.”

Worldwide, stoning is dangerous and human-rights organizations denounce stone-throwing.  They should do precisely the same when stones are directed at Jews in Israel.

By the definition of stoning that you cite if a single person throws stones it's not stoning. It takes two or more persons throwing stones to be termed "stoning".

  • Foolster41

But one person throwing a stone can still be deadly. It seems you missed this crucial point.

  • pierce

You have to wear a mask when you are stoning, that way no one knows who you are, and thus one might say you are cowardly.

    • Ben Jabo

Mask wont' do any good, if the person you're throwing a stone at shhots back

They're muslims, right? What do you expect of them? They worship that made up moon good, allah, and follow that pedophilic madman, mohamat the pig-faced dog, so it's to be expected. You can't stop muslims from behaving worse than animals any more than you can expect a dog to stop licking his rear-end.

need an edit button…..that was moon god, not moon good.

I have a family members who has a friend who patrols the border. This guy was hit on the forehead with a.stone thrown by a Mexican juvenile. He went down but the stones kept coming..He fired in self defense and he was in trouble for using his weapon to shoot across the border. There was also some tripe about the kid only throwing stones. The border pattrol guy nearly bled out. Throwing rocks is deadly force.

People who trow rocks are criminal. They also use slings which make the trowing more powerful These rock throwers should be treated as CRIMINALS. Period.

And here in Washington, DC, when black kids throw rocks at white people and homosexuals, it's just kids having fun. It's not racist (because blacks can't be racist) and they don't know it can be dangerous.

    • Omar

"It's not racist (because blacks can't be racist) and they don't know it can be dangerous."

The exception to the "whites are racist" drama is that if the white person is a leftist and the black person (or other racial or ethnic minority) is a conservative. When Janeane Garofalo and other white leftists were insulting Herman Cain with racial stereotypes, the left and the MSM didn't care one bit. The double standard lives on.

There are so many double standards in today's world. In order for the world (and the UN) to redeem itself, the people have to do a couple things. First of all, the people should stop referring to the people living in Gaza and the West Bank as "Palestinians" as though they're an ethnicity. "Palestine" is a geographical region, not a country nor ethnic group. The so-called ethnic "Palestinians" are an invented people (Newt Gingrich is right). Palestine is the name given to the Holy Land region which consists of Israel, Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan. Anyone who lives in the Holy Land region is a Palestinian, regardless of characteristics. The Israelis and Jordanians are Palestinians. Palestine is not even an Arabic name. Palestine is a Latin name meaning Philistines, who were Greek sailors who had red hair (the Philistines were not Arabs). Second, the world needs to hold oppressive regimes accountable for their crimes and respect democratic countries like Israel.

    • Ben Jabo

Forget Gingrich, Fahti Hammad of is a true expert, his video on Youtube, clearly states that the "Palestinian's are an Invented people"

Stones/boulders are lethal weapons and have been proven as such. However, when it comes to the Jews, no such recognition is given. It is no longer the case as to whether or not Jews are second class citizens, at least when it comes to international poohbahs, and even some of Israel's internal fifth column – leftists and Islamists.

When it comes to Jews there are double and triple standards because Jewish blood is considered cheap – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/07/20/non-quenchabl

If this wasn't the case, would the above be true?

The invented people (so-called "Palestinians") aren't the only ones who get away with stoning innocent people. In Communist Cuba, the only dictatorship in the Western Hemisphere, The Castro regime's police thugs have used stoning against peaceful, pro-democracy dissidents and dissident groups like the Ladies in White. The link is here: http://babalublog.com/2013/03/20/cuba-the-stoning
Stoning is only one of many methods of violence that totalitarian (and terrorist) groups and entities use against innocent people. Yet, the left, academia and the MSM dismiss unprovoked attacks as "justified" if those attacks come from leftists and/or Islamists. Another double standard that exists in the world is on terrorism. The left/MSM/academia choose who to cheer and who to boo based on the politics of the suspect. For example, the left/MSM/academia demonized Cuban dissident and former militant Luis Posada Carriles over his alleged role in the bombing of a Cubana Airlines flight in the 1970s. Even today, we do not know for sure if he was involved in the plane bombing. In fact, a Castro double-agent, Ricardo Morales Navaratte admitted to being involved in the plane attack. The link is here: http://frontpagemag.com/2011/humberto-fontova/cnn… Yet, the left and its allies constantly blame Posada for the incident on an almost everyday basis.
The left/MSM/academia hates Posada not for the things that he might or might not have committed (his alleged role in the Cubana flight incident is debatable) but because he is anti-communist, anti-totalitarianism and anti-Castro. If Posada had supported far-left regimes as opposed to being against totalitarianism and supporting democracy, the left/MSM/academia would react very differently. Contrast the way the left/MSM/academia perceive Posada with the way the same left/MSM/academia perceive the terorist group the FALN. The FALN was a violent, far-left, Communist, ultra-nationalist terrorist group which tried to force the island of Puerto Rico (which is a U.S. territory) to secede from the United States in order to install a Communist totalitarian dictatorship in the island allied with Castro's Cuba (the Castro regime has funded the FALN and other violent far-left separatist groups in PR), the Soviet Union and other despotic regimes, despite the fact that the majority of Puerto Ricans do not want secession. In fact, the majority of residents of Puerto Rico want either statehood (becoming America's 51st state, which I support, along with more than half of the island's population) or remaining a territory (Commonwealth). In 1999, then-Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder and Rep. Luis Gutierrez of Illinois pressured then-President Bill Clinton to grant clemency to those unrepentant terrorists of the FALN. the left/MSM/academia portrayed those unrepentant totalitarian terrorists as "non-violent political prisoners" and "freedom fighters". Imagine if a conservative, pro-statehood organization did what the FALN had committed. The response from the left/MSM/academia would be primarily negative and they would very likely call the statehood organization "an example of right-wing terrorism". Remember that the politics in Puerto Rico center around the island's political status with the rest of the U.S. While there are always exceptions with anything, the local political parties in PR follow their status preferences and ideologies like this: statehood (New Progressive Party, 75% Republican, 20% Democrat, 5% other, primarily moderate to conservative), current territorial status (Popular Democratic Party, 95% Democrat, 5% other, primarily center-left) and independence/secession (Puerto Rico Independence Party, 85% to 90% Communist, 10%-15% other, primarily far-left). Anyway, the biases and double standards in this world are so common that many people can't distinguish right from wrong. The biases and double standards in the world are what former Governor of Puerto Rico Carlos Romero-Barcelo termed "Measuring by different yardsticks". It is time to confront and defeat the double standards that are so common in today's world.

The Muslim stone-throwers in Israel are OBEYING commands in the Quran and mosques to wage jihad against intensely hated infidels. The murderous Muslims must be sent back to the countries of their parents/grandparents.

Article quote: "American border patrol police… “considers rock-throwing to be deadly force which sometimes demands the same in response.”…anyone who disagrees should throw rocks at their local police station – will anyone be amazed when they are shot?" End of quote. If you are in America and are Muslim you are ALLOWED to throw rocks at hated non-Muslims:
