Chris Dorner: A Mass Shooter Leftists Can Love

In the past several days, we’ve learned about how you too can gain a degree of public sympathy if you plan to embark on a killing spree and then go into hiding as you bide your time waiting to kill again: Write a “manifesto” dominated by anti-police rants, a “progressive” outlook towards Second Amendment freedoms and support for leftist politicians.

That’s what former Los Angeles Police Department officer Christopher Dorner, who is accused of killing Monica Quan, Keith Lawrence, and an as yet unnamed LAPD officer while wounding two others, has done. His sympathy-by-manifesto strategy has been alarmingly successful.

Dorner’s 11,000-word tome, addressed to “America,” was reportedly delivered to CNN’s Anderson Cooper on February 1. Much of its second half directs praise and scorn at a variety of politicians, celebrities and athletes while also, of all things, politicking for gun control and praising two of its proponents (spelling and grammar errors were not fixed in this and the following manifesto excerpt):

The time is now to reinstitute a ban (on assault weapons) that will save lives. Why does any sportsman need a 30 round magazine for hunting? Why does anyone need a suppressor? Why does anyone need a AR15 rifle?

… Mia Farrow said it best. “Gun control is no longer debatable, it’s not a conversation, its a moral mandate.”

Sen. Feinstein, you are doing the right thing in leading the re-institution of a national AWB.

Dorner also effusively praises President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, while showing contempt and disdain for “America,” the screed’s addressee, for not wholeheartedly supporting Dear Leader (paragraph breaks added by me):

You disrespect the office of the POTUS/Presidency and Commander in Chief. You call him Kenyan, mongroid, halfrican, muslim, and FBHO when in essence you are to address him as simply, President. The same as you did to President George W. Bush and all those in the highest ranking position of our land before him. Just as I always have.

You question his birth certificate, his educational and professional accomplishments, and his judeo-christian beliefs. You make disparaging remarks about his dead parents.

… You call his wife a Wookie. Off the record, I love your new bangs, Mrs. Obama. A woman whose professional and educational accomplishments are second to none when compared to recent First wives.

You call his supporters, whether black, brown, yellow, or white, leeches, FSA, welfare recipients, and ni$&er lovers. You say this openly without any discretion. Before you start with your argument that you believe I would vote for Obama because he has the same skin color as me, (expletive) you.

… Mr. President, I haven’t agreed with all of your decisions but of course I haven’t agreed with all of your predecessors decisions. I think you’ve done a hell of a job with what you have been dealt and how you have managed it. I shed a tear the night you were initially elected President in 2008.

Dorner also allocated space to praising the following broadcast media members, in order of appearance: Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough, Pat Harvey, Brian Williams, Soledad O’Brien, Wolf Blitzer, Meredith Viera, Tavis Smiley, Cooper, the late Walter Crokite, Tom Brokaw, the late Peter Jennings, Willie Geist, and Piers Morgan.

While Dorner’s alleged acts and plans have properly appalled the vast majority of America, a distressingly large contingent of our fellow citizens considers him a hero.

As of 10 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday, I located two newly-minted Dorner-friendly Facebook pages: “I Support Christopher Jordan Dorner” (over 7,700 “likes”), and “LAPD Cop Killer Christopher Dorner is A HERO” (over 300 “likes”). On Saturday,’s Ben Shapiro identified several others. This is clear evidence that there is a dangerous strand of thought on the left which is perfectly fine with the commission of violent, murderous acts — as long as their perpetrators hold anti-establishment, anti-authority views.

By contrast, the pro-life community always roundly denounces the very few acts of violence visited upon abortion clinics and abortion doctors — of course other than those which clinic employees themselves commit by killing pre-born babies. Criminals who have bombed clinics and harmed or murdered their employees have never garnered any meaningful level of sympathy beyond a truly tiny and obviously unrepresentative fringe.

Public figures who should know better have either gone into a sympathy routine or chosen a strange form of neutrality towards Dorner. Jesse Jackson tweeted: “I understand your feelings of hurt and pain.” Noticeably absent was any recognition of the “hurt and pain” Dorner has inflicted on the families of Quan, Lawrence, and the unnamed slain police officer’s families. Bitter Bill Maher attempted to draw an equivalence between cold-blooded killing and a “headline” at, which, from what I can tell, was really either never there or was planted by a commenter at a blog post. The aforementioned Ms. Farrow tweeted about “a murderer cop,” but “somehow” didn’t mention that Dorner views her favorably.

Print and web reports from the nation’s establishment press are following Farrow’s example. From reading their output, you wouldn’t even know that Dorner even mentioned President Obama, Mrs. Obama, or Vice President Joe Biden, let alone spent hundreds of words praising them. An unbylined Friday report at the Associated Press containing “some samples” from the manifesto which one would have hoped would be representative managed to suppress everything relating to our sitting president, his wife, and vice president, but managed to quote relatively brief mentions of George H.W. Bush, Chris Christie, Hillary Clinton, and Colin Powell, while also ignoring Dorner’s anti-gun stance. There isn’t a chance in Hades that the self-described “essential global news network” would have been so kind to a sitting Republican or conservative president, first lady, or veep.

Also recall that ABC’s Brian Ross initially attempted to pin the blame for the Aurora, Colorado theater murders on a Tea Party activist based only on his name, while his network and other have reported nothing about Dorner’s sympathy for Obama.

Just to be clear, no one Dorner named shares any blame for his actions. He bears that responsibility alone.

That’s not what the left or their media sympathizers would be saying if Dorner had invoked the views of conservative talk radio hosts, pundits, or politicians in a vain attempt to justify themselves.

Well Charlie Sheen is offering to negotiate. Charlie even thanked him for the kind words Dorner had to say about Charlie. Darned if it didn't bring a tear to my eye.

    • Bubbah

You know the right has gone totally off their rockers when they claim this crazed military marksman and former LAPD cop is somehow supported by the 'Left'.

      • Ar'nun

Some said the same thing when Sebelius declated "right wing militias more dangerous than al Qaeda". Turns out it was imbeciles like you who were the real threat all along.

      • Ennis85

Why is that so crazy Bubbah? After all don't you people have a history of praising mass murderers e.g Stalin, Mao, The khmer Rouge, etc?

    • John Stone

Lets give Charlie Sheen credit for trying to do something positive, whether we agree with his politics or not.

charlie sheen demonstrates how egomania can destroy a once good life.

    • Dave

i am a conservative and i support dorner
If police kick a suspect- expect to get the consequences for it
      dorner tried every route.
The system failed him, he got revenge. Its as simple as that.

  • AwesomeJob

Yes…… this is obviously a partisan issue. Im so glad that you brought this to our attention. Keep up the good reporting.

    • AdinaK

The fact that leftists go postal, but only when their ideology is threatened, is of piece with their "religiously" bent world view. Nothing, not even the deaths of kiddies, will stop their march –

And when it is posited, the left is marching towards totalitarian rule, believe it –

Scary doesn't even begin to describe it. America is on the precipice. The next four yrs will seal its fate, for generations to come.

Hitler also destroyed the economy, lied to the people, and confiscated weapons before his demonic trek to genocide, the spirit of the anti-christ is with us!

  • Gunslinger

Everything this article mentions, support for politicians, gun control and shout-outs to celebrities was all fabricated. None of that was in the original manifesto and has been added through a combination of internet trolls and biased media.

    • Mary Sue

really, now? Where is your proof?

    • Charles Wenzel

I concur with the other reply: and you know this how?

    • JacksonPearson

Pushing all of the BS aside…
Do you believe a mentally ill person like Christopher Dorner, should have ever been placed into a position of responsibility, and/or authority, with a badge and gun?

umm get your facts right please. He delivered a video and a shot out medal that was given to him. His Manifesto was posted on his facebook page. I won't point out all the other complete inaccuracies that you posted. So much for unbiased journalism.

    • Mary Sue

some of his manifesto was redacted at the request of the LAPD.

thanks for bringing to our attention all the "inaccuracies" you found in this article – it must really make your blood boil…yet not a single word about the people and lives this piece of garbage hes ruined…to the left synables – to the left.

  • Plutocrat

This is laughable the guy is not even a leftist at all what so ever, he is more of a moderate. He doesn’t just defend Obama but Bush and other notable conservatives as well and states that we should pay our respects to our leaders. I would highly suggest you read his manifesto yourself preferably a version that is not redacted. I love how you intentionally chose omit aspects of his manifesto, really makes you seem legitimate.

    • jakespoon

It doesn't matter what's in his manifesto, really, what you lose sight of is ,he is a murderous, insane, animal. Never mind that he's eloquent and educated. So was Ted Bundy.

    • Ar'nun

Huntsman and Christy are about as Conservative as Obama. To claim this is "moderate" is ridiculous.

    • RoguePatriot6

He didn't defend Bush. I thought he was at first but actually he wasn't. If anything he was criticizing at what he perceived to be biased treatment of Obama as in comparsion to Bush when he mentioned; "…You call him Kenyan, mongroid, halfrican, muslim, and FBHO when in essence you are to address him as simply, President. The same as you did to President George W. Bush and all those in the highest ranking position of our land before him." He was saying we should call him Mr President just as we did Bush. This to is laughable considering the numerous vile remarks made by comedians and others; calling bush "Terrorist", "retarded" (eloquently by Chris Rock), "warmonger"…….etc. Those were amongst a few.

    • guest

What people use to justify the evil they do is unimportant. It doesn't matter what this murderer says, just as it didn't matter what Hitler, Stalin say to justify their murderers of millions. Just as it doesn't matter the justification that Obama and the progressive fascists use to justify their destruction of our country.

  • UCSPanther

I think with the way the world is going, we are going to see a lot more nutters like Dorner crawling out of the woodwork.

Anyone would be a fool to give up their guns in these times especially…

    • 100%

iT'S the American love of extreme violence and guns THAT ARE the problem. England does without them … have 35 shootings in one year.

      • UCSPanther

        Then move there, cupcake.

      • Drakken

Our country was founded on rugged individualism, not collective stupidity.

  • Larry

Just remember, all the political assassinations and serious attempts at assassination in the USA have been carried out by leftists, many of them staunch Democrats.

    • Questions

The killers isn't a "Leftist'; he's a black. His race is the prime motivator. Read Nicholas Stix's pice in about this. Most of his sympathizers are also black. For them, it's always about race.

      • 100%

And for most whites it's always about their right to dominate everybody else that aren't WHITE. Humm, something about denial… It tends to "whitewash " everything.

        • Drakken

Hmmmmm ever wonderwhy us white europeans brought to you every technilogical modern marvel know to man?Yeah, your welcome.

    • 100%

Even before Obama took his first oath of office white, right-wing racists had set out to assassinate him. Why? A BLACK man dared become President? Don't give me your narrow view of politics.

      • Drakken

Oh look, more greviance theater, get bent.

  • AndrewS

And where in your article do you address the most important message this guy is sending out – he was unjustly kicked out of the LAPD by corrupt insiders.

    • Don L

He should have joined the New Black Panthers and get federal waivers and protection?

    • Ar'nun

If you go back and read the manifesto, keeping in mind the old axiom, "there is always 3 sides to every story, his, their's and the truth." You can then clearly see Dorner is/was an emotional guy, who when he heard words he didn't like, he turned violent. Weather the people he accused of making racist comments actually said those things or not become irrelevant because of his violent reactions.

sure – and Im sure Alex Jones will be commenting soon and maybe even a spot on coast2coast!…its always the poor perp isnt it…lets not forget poor trevan.

      • guest

Trevon deserved what he got. He tried to kill GZ and received appropriate treatment.

    • Rifleman

The murderous psycho claims he was unjustly kicked out of the LAPD? He proved their point.

      • trickyblain

LAPD unloaded 60-plus rounds on a truck bearing little resemblance to Dorner's, but it did contain a daughter and her 71 year old mother (mother hit twice in the back). Shortly thereafter, they rammed another truck (difference make/model) before opening fire on its occupant (missing). Seems that being a "murderous psychopath" is an essential qualification for being part of that force.

        • Rifleman

I saw that, a Toyota no less, and some other incidents like it. Either LAPD cops are awful shots, or God was really watching out for those ladies. Those cops were on security detail for an official. If I was that official, I'd make sure to pack my own heat.

If you're living in LA tricky, don't call the cops. Call the FD. They'll show up faster, with more people, and they want to help.

          • trickyblain

Exactly what I thought. LAPD must measure groupings in meters, not inches.

Thankfully, I am about 400 miles north of that mess…

          • Ziggy Zoggy

Sacramento. I know who you really are.

    • tagalog

Is anyone reporting on just exactly what Dorner is supposed to have done that got him kicked out of the LAPD?

      • JacksonPearson

One just have to read his Manifesto to realize that Chris Dorner was so penned up with hate, he should have never been allowed to have authority with a badge and gun. He's mental!

Dorner better fit standing with his arms crossed wearing a beret, behind Black Panther leader Malik Zulu Shabazz.

      • Gee

Compliants of violence and unacceptable force

        • tagalog

So that's what triggered this killing spree? He got canned for being a brutal cop?

Jeez, most cops would just eat their pistols.

Based on that, it seems likely that Dorner is severely unbalanced.

As if that couldn't be deduced from an 11-page "manifesto."

  • Donna M.

I think he is being framed. Period. The Manifesto is altered. Huge Cover up. This is much bigger than you know and I'm betting the inconvenient truth will be out soon. I even think Dormer has already been killed. They just won't tell us. Yet. Probably cloning up another double now to MAKE IT SAY WHAT THEY WANT. Wake up.

    • jespasinthru

I'm hearing the Twilight Zone music. If what you say is true, then why is the LAPD still in full panic mode? It's gotten to the point where they're raiding hardware stores with SWAT teams on groundless anonymous tips. The public is messing with them with these "tips", deliberately sending them on one wild goose chase after another.

    • tagalog

I think Dorner is already dead, too. I think he burned his truck and abandoned those AR15s because he despaired (despite his posturing) of anything other than his ignominious death at the hands of the LAPD, and committed suicide. He hid himself and his body is somewhere in the woods near Big Bear. He took the coward's way out. Well, better that than killing wives and children.

What a heroic guy; he kills not the cop who was one of the central players in his getting fired, instead he kills the guy's innocent daughter. What a man, what a real guy. Honor. Obviously a morally superior person.

By the way, what did Dorner do to get himself fired? Is anybody reporting on that?

Do you think there's any significance to be gleaned from the fact that the daughter was Asian and Dorner is black? Was that killing a racist killing in addition to being a grudge thing?

      • trickyblain

After he received a negative performance review, he filed a compliant against his partner (a superior officer) for kicking a schizophrenic suspect twice in the chest. LAPD determined the complaint was false (although it was corroborated by the alleged victim and his family), and the force fired Dorner for making false statements.

        • tagalog

So he's PO'd about being allegedly falsely fired for filing a false report, and that's why he's embarked on a murder spree?

Wow, I guess any right-thinking person would say he's perfectly justified in killing everyone in sight.

          • trickyblain

Yes, just a bit of an overreaction.

Speaking of overreaction, did you see this results of LAPD mistakenly opening fire on a mother and daughter who were delivering newspapers in a truck that looks nothing like Dorner's? The 71 year old mother was hit twice in the back and is in the ICU. The entire cul-de-sac was riddled with bullets.

          • tagalog

Well, the LAPD's action in that incident certainly makes Dorner's actions okay, all right.

          • trickyblain

That's what you got from my comment? That I'm defending Dorner? Okay…

Two things can be equally true.

A ) Dorner is a dangerous lunatic. B) The LAPD is filled with dangerous lunatics.

          • Ennis85

            Defending Dorner? No

Sh!tting on the men and women who serve in Los Angles' Law enforcement? Yes

          • trickyblain

Respect is earned, not given. Innocent people were shot by those who portend to "serve" them. The only reason those three people — two who were delivering papers and another who was just going out for some early morning surf — are alive is because those LAPD officers have terrible aim.

          • tagalog

            "Portend?" Explain, please.

          • tagalog

True that two things can be equally true. And, like the proverbial stopped clock that is on time twice a day, the LAPD may have had it right when they let Dorner go.

      • Dennis X

Then why did he kill her Black boy friend?

        • tagalog

Race traitor and if not that, collateral damage.

          • guest

You belong in the KKK or Nazis party.

          • tagalog

I was talking about Dorner's motivations, not mine. You don't know what mine are. You asked for a reason, I told you one.

Obviously you either don't remember or weren't old enough to experience the cultural views of the old Black Panther Party and black nationalists, along with the "Black Is Beautiful" racists. They used to talk about "race traitors" all the time, blacks who dated whites. They used to get all hot and bothered about the slights to our "beautiful black sisters" from black men who were attracted to white women.

    • John Stone

Lets have something in the way of evidence before we start spinning elaborate conspiracy theories. The reason Dormer would burn up his own truck is that if he had to abandon it, the fire would destroy most of the clues that the truck would contain. And given his situation it is easy to imagine that he had to abandon his truck, perhaps in a hurry.

    • JacksonPearson

Lots of BS there Donna, and no supportive evidence.

      Here's his manifesto:
So point out to us, what exactly have been fabricated? Who made it up? Give us some names?

    • 100%

SO, my imaginative friend … you tink, maybe, Hollywood has cooked this all up as a reality show?

  • Brian

This is beyond insulting. Also, it’s rather stupid.

“By contrast, the pro-life community always roundly denounces the very few acts of violence visited upon abortion clinics and abortion doctors — of course other than those which clinic employees themselves commit by killing pre-born babies.”

Really? You *really* don’t think Chris Dorner’s supporters are at least as much of a fringe group as the abortion clinic bombings? How “roundly” do you expect the political left to denounce this tragedy before they too become entitled to benefit from one of your generalizations?

This is everything that is wrong with journalism in America. Tom Blumer, I hope you you are just a simpleton, because I hate to think anyone with half a brain could actually write something like this in good conscience.

    • Deep Space

You start out ok but then you regress back to "middle school" with the childish name calling.

    • Tom Blumer

Don't know how you could misinterpret this.

Dorner's supporters define "fringe." The pro-life community renounces violence, and practices what it preaches.

  • Tammy

Let's not use the phrase "Wake Up" in our statements unless there is some factual source of information the rest of us can go to and learn more. Simply adding it to an opinion weakens the strength of the phrase, which on its own denotes a cry of urgency and plea of unity.

    • TimN

Agreed and well stated. I hate that expression. It's so often someone pushing a loony conspiracy theory using it. It just comes across as arrogant and self righteous.

Why the surprise that the left loves and is addicted to evil. They booed God at their convention, attacked His catholic Church and all men's consciences, celebrated lust , deviancy, free lunches and sloth, racism as justice, PC as truth shields, won the election with envy and tainted gifts and have celbrated, facilitateds, and defended the slaughter of 55 million innocent living humans as a good thing. That a large part of the nation has fallen for their tainted apple bait, is no surprise. Evil has come fully out of the closet and the ledft (and much of the fiscal right) loves it.
America is in her waning hours, unless this sicko as hero, and loin addiction such as Justin Bieber's sending a sick pic to Hillary is not the new morality birthed in Hades?

  • Asher

Dorner would love to start a race war, obvious after shooting White Cops.

    • jespasinthru

Actually, one of the cops he shot was black. Probably somebody he considered an "Uncle Tom". In his mind its not about black and white. It's about the "little guy" versus the Machine.

      • cathy

I agree jespasinthru! I read the entire manifesto and concluded racism is not the issue. It is about the "little guy" versus the Machine … the "little guy" who admittedly does not have God in his life. In 2005 … a corrupt Aruban investigation h— bent on protecting a murderer … denying justice to a victim … could have driven a mother to seek revenge … to give up on life but … it didn't. She made a choice to turn "tragedy into triump."

have we not been brainwashed to believe that persons of color, minorities, CAN NOT be racist because they "have no power"?
Jackson and Evans, what is their racial affiliation.
all the rest seem to be of Hispanic lineage, persons of color, therefore they cannot possible be racist.
    do i have that right?
and is that not the primary complaint of dorner, that he is being singled out for being a black man.
not because he is by definition a morbidly obese man. nor an incompetent man. nor a man not meeting the requirements for promotion in the navy, hence his separation.
and not because he was deficient "in the areas of report writing, officer safety, suspects, prisoners, and use of common sense and good judgment"
sounds like dorner was pretty well versed in doing nothing related to his job well.
so of course it was do due the evil intentions of all those around him.
    got that, now?

    • Don L

Nothing new here. "Lord it was that woman YOU MADE for me" Lord, said Eve, It was that Serpent YOU MADE…Cain, I did it because God wasn't fair–He like Abel better. Adolph, "It's those Jews…"
And today we hear the same game. It's those God and gun clingers….those rich guys, those racists, those….Catholics..those homophobes, those….

  • ted legrande

the legion of basement dwellers on the payroll propping up this hegelian farce need to be exposed. the internet is the domain of phony websites and comments propping up complicit media shills of this very obvious contrived situation. they out themselves with their rhetoric, and the general public may be getting hip to this repetitive sideshow. the media readers do not seem to see that at this point they have jumped the shark.
their phonyness in reporting is not credible. it seems this is a hail Mary pass. The lying media now believes its own lies and are bad actors or are just weasels on the payroll.

  • Ar'nun

"Just to be clear, no one Dorner named shares any blame for his actions. He bears that responsibility alone"

I disagree. The Liberal Left has pushed divisive policy after divisive policy, and convinced their followers, absent facts, to follow them. This has caused a great deal of social issues. The Left has painted it's opposition as near criminal or inhuman. From Hillary's infamous "Rightwing Conspiracy" comments, to Obama supporters constant calls of "Racism" in the face of any critique. Clearly the Left's agenda has divided the country and their fanatic followers are unable to contain all the anger and hate fed to them buy their Cult Leaders.

    • Don L

You assume they wish to contain it–they don't! Why do you think they went to all the trouble of fomenting the hatred in the first place? Evil folks do evil things.

      • Ar'nun

I don't assume that all. It is all done on purpose. I was just responding to the author and his attempt to be benign at the end claiming Progressives were not to blame for the latest Progressive rampage, when the facts show they are to blame for this one/ and probably most of the ones that have occurred in the last few years.

Why does anyone need an AR15? Ask Dorner; he had two of them in that burned-out car.

The question that is more in line with our Constitution is not "why does anyone need an AR15?" It is "Why aren't you, Mr. Dorner, supporting my law-abiding right to own one?"

  • Ar'nun

Clearly police officers and other agents of the government like Chris Dorner shows clearly why some people need an assault rifle.

    • tagalog

Amen to that. There's a commentary in the National Review Online website today ("And Your Little Dog Too" by Deroy Murdock) that lists a long series of recent armed federal interventions in peoples' lives where either the use of firearms is an overreaction or entirely uncalled-for.

    • 100%

Listen. I KNOW about white police. And I have no record of any kind. Dorner is telling the truth. Not all, but many of them seem to pick UP the badge, in order to abuse minorities.

      • Drakken

Gee, like they don't deserve it,typical blame the police and ignore the minority doing the crime.

  • John Stone

If you want to blame somebody start with Dorner himself. He nurses every grievance and seems never to forget and never to forgive. Second up comes the LAPD. They gave Dorner plenty of good quality reasons to be pissed off. After that third is a distant third and not worth mentioning.

    • Ar'nun

I think you are wrong. The Liberal Elite are aware of the power of their influence and have purposely drivin the divisive agenda that forces some simple-minded easily persuaded people like this over the edge.

      • Ziggy Zoggy

The LAPD has a part in Dorner's rampage.

Dorner is clearly a pre-programmed lefty but the LAPD has been infamous for corruption and violence since WWI, and his training officer SEEMS to be every bit as misandrist, incompetent and corrupt as he accused her of being in his manifesto. (Anybody who thinks a woman can do a man's job has been reading too many comic books and anybody who thinks lesbians like men has been watching too much of Hollywood's crap.)

Based on LAPD policies and actions since WWI, it looks like the department has had only two Chiefs who didn't actively promote or maintain corruption under the guise of public service. August Volllmer, who quit in disgust after only one year way back in 1924, and James Davis, who lasted three years from 1926 to 1929. Davis actively fought corruption and instituted procedural reforms and innovations during his tenure. He even formed a Red Squad to counter communist seditionists.

Since then LAPD corruption has been institutionalized and its main focus is an adversarial approach to the public it ostensibly serves.

A good example of the unaccountable thuggery produced by its "us Vs them" approach to the public is Daryl Gates and the LA riots. He's the career scumbag who was busy being feted as a supercop at some mastubatory award ceremony while he let the city burn in an orgy of violence and looting because he wanted to teach the public how much they "needed" him.

Since Dorner started his rampage, police in Southern California have been terrorizing the public in their search and kill mission for the "cop killer." (As though a cop's life is worth more than somebody else's.) Two innocent women have been shot by LAPD thugs on their kill mission. It isn't just the LAPD that uses adversarial policy and procedure methods. Innocent people are being harassed and shot at all over Southern Clifornia-usually with the same kind of assault weapons that the left wants to keep only in the hands of government officials.

Killing suspected cop killers is apparently an unofficial police policy, though plenty of people will deny or disbelieve it. Skeptics will wisely monitor what the police have been doing on their manhunt and what happens to Dorner if they catch up with him alive. (He could be dead of exposure or suicide for all we know.)

Dorner is responsible for his own actions but when we look at his PC indoctrination and the influence it's had on his actions, we have to look at the pernicious influence of the LAPD as well. Just try not to look too closely, because you could end up getting shot dead in the process.

        • Ar'nun

The problem is he was a brainwashed Progressive first and the LAPD is forced to still function in the really real world which runs contrary to the Progressive dogma. So hiscontroled mind couldn't handle it and he snapped.

        • guestq

So you determine all this from reading the manifesto of a man who murders the daughter of his attorney? Pretty sickening.

Same thinking that allowed the Germans to murder millions of Jews and other inferior people.

And from the other side of political spectrum.

      • ratloser

        Yep..and moraly completely different…for sure

  • cathy

After reading the entire manifesto … I believe there may be truth to Chris Dorner’s claim that his termination was orchestrated to protect the accused officer and/or prevent a lawsuit from being filed against the LAPD but … maybe not. Nevertheless … Dorner’s method of “retaliation” in an attempt to receive validation from what he believes is an injustice indicates a thinking process that is beyond warped.

Murder Suspect Chris Dorner’s Online Manifesto

    • tagalog

I've read the entire manifesto too. It reads like the ramblings of an unhinged person, and his personal history, as set out by him, hints at his being on the edge of control of violent, murderous anger, for most of his life.

But come to think of it, hell, his claimed mistreatment by the LAPD makes his murder spree perfectly understandable. Obviously. No jury in the world would convict. Assuming he lives long enough to get to a jury.

Just one question: whatever happened to the unlawful termination lawsuit? It just seems a bit less barbaric than picking up a gun and going on a shooting expedition…

I'm not an aspiring rapper, I'm not a gang member, I'm not a dope dealer, I don't have multiple babies momma's. I am an American by choice, I am a son, I am a brother, I am a military service member, I am a man who has lost complete faith in the system, when the system betrayed, slandered, and libeled me. I lived a good life and though NOT A RELIGIOUS MAN I always stuck to my own personal code of ethics, ethos and always stuck to my shoreline and true North. I didn't need the US Navy to instill Honor, Courage, and Commitment in me but I thank them for re-enforcing it. It's in my DNA….

Philippians 4:7 – And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

    • John

Dorner shot the daughter of his defense counsel.

You shoot the kid of your defense counsel? That is effed up. For that alone Dorner should be executed.
Did his defense counsel screw up at all?

I would like to see why Dorner is a former Lieutenant. Did he leave under his own steam or was he booted?

      • tagalog

I was wondering about his military career, too.

      • 100%

I don't condone shooting anyone. Loss of life is painful to love ones. That said, I can understand what made her a target. She played him … worked WITH his accusers to get him fired. He should have realized that she was not going to really defend him. You will be hard, hard pressed to find an ASian that will side with a Black person against whites … AIN'T GONNA happen! On top of it, I will beg forgiveness and call myself a moron if her boyfriend IS NOT a white guy. That is how sure I am that rarely does an Asian associate Asian or any other than a white individual. Dorner was especially doomed with her as his defender. WOW! was he doomed.

    • Ar'nun

His claims only hold merit in the perfect imagined Progressive utopia. Unfortunately that doesn't exist, and in the real world, especially in LA, the cops sometimes encounter people who dont cooperate. Dorners superiors just got sick of aguy who was more concerned about other people's safety and not that of his fellow officers. Its the same mentality that thinks you can talk Iran out of wanting Nuclear Weapons.

    • 100%

I hear that. But then I guess you'd say the colonists, picking up the gun to fight the King of England over a little tax money was "beyond warped?" Pause

      • tagalog

The American revolutionaries weren't on a revenge spree. They went to war against a monarch whose policies were aimed at exploiting the colonies for the benefit of Britain without the colonists being part of the lawmaking process. Remember, it wasn't just taxation, it was "Taxation without representation" that they balked at.

And the King sent his army to put down, not armed rebellion, but rumblings among what the English at home thought was just a disgruntled colonial rabble sending the King rebellious Declarations Of Independence. The revolution began at Concord and Lexington over attempted government confiscation of firearms. It was the British Army that began the move toward arms by the colonists with the Boston Massacre. You've probably heard of Crispus Attucks, the American Revolution's first martyr.

  • Soylent Green

How come Blacks always claim it was 'racism' that got them fired, but DON'T accept the fact that it was more than likely 'racism' that got them hired?

  • UCSPanther

This case reminds me of the 1973 New Orleans rampage. It was committed by Mark Essex, a crazed black supremicist who was affiliated with the Black Panthers. Over the course of a week, Essex murdered 9 people, mostly police officers before he was finally cornered and killed at a hotel.

    • 100%

LOL! "Black Supremacist" Puhleeze tell us what a Black Supremacist is … what he thinks. I've never heard of such person. Supremacism has always been couched in the idea that white genes are superior to Black ones … ONLY because of biology. Thus, the term, Supremacist is germane to whites and other that imagine they are some degree of white. The Black Panthers formed to fight the LAPD racism, which routinely murdered Black citizens. It's easy to rewrite history when your history is too unGodly to face.

      • UCSPanther

Hey moron: Guess what: The Black Panthers published propaganda not too much different from the militia movements that you claim to hate. including guides for which weapons to use. Among the weapons the Panthers recommended: The Ruger .44 magnum carbine, which was Essex's weapon in the commission of his spree. And you know what? Essex was a rabid racist who was basically yelling that "Whitey had to pay" in his disjointed ramblings that police found in his apartment. It ain't hard to learn about Essex. Just look up his name and the 1973 New Orleans shooting spree.

But then again, you seem like one of those brain-dead idiots who think that your side of the political spectrum can do no wrong.

  • BLJ

Dorner deserves a dirt nap. My guess is if he were white the MSM would make this front page news. Another Obama supporter on the loose.

    • 100%

The demographic is changing. The country has a chance to reset; to erase racism, such as you present here. White supremacism is the only thing that has deferred the greatness in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. We should never of need a Civil Rights Bill… an EEOC or Affirmative Action. It all came about as a consequence of Affirmative Action BY and FOR whites, only. Now, many whites have sour grapes? WhY? THEY created the mess.

White America's problem is that evryone in the world knows they've committed sin against other racial groups without cause. The problem is deeper for them because THEY know this. too. The question is how can they escape their own addiction for racism without trying to pass their image off on Sharpton, Wright, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Trayvon Martin, and Jesus? We've been heading for this for a long time. This guy was what 12 or 13 years old when the whole Rodney King incident happened?, What could he possibly know about the incident other than what he's been told by people who had and have an ax to grind against the police, not just the LAPD, any cop or person of authority.
He's killed at least on black man adding to the black on black crime rate, the black man's Asian fiancee, making this a potential hate crime and in his manifesto threatens to kill other officers and their families.
Years of hate whitey, hate the cops, you can't get a fair deal if you're black have been planted in this young man's head leading to this.
Knowing what is known about how poverty pimps preach their gospel to their congregation expect more of this.
    Arm and protect yourselves.
This is just one black man's opinion.

    • tagalog

The cops who arrested Rodney King were the victims of selective, cherry-picked editing by the MSM of that infamous videotape and LOTS and LOTS of negaive publicity that rushed to judgment about their conduct. The jury that acquitted them got to see the entire videotape.

No one EVER talks about the violence to innocent drivers in South Central L.A. during the riots caused by low-life black people who did things like throw concrete blocks at people struck down in the street or dragged from their vehicles for being the wrong color.

Perhaps you can explain where this web site is going wrong, and lay out your particular prescription for it returning to your version of morality.

      • Ziggy Zoggy

Very funny. Just read my last comment. Conservatives have their flaws too, and claiming that American law enforcement is anything but corrupt and unaccountable is as asinine and deceitful as claiming that gas prices are rising due to increased usage in China and India.

It is interesting how many lengthy responses have been written about these news. All the cogitation, all the surmises and the analysis of the murderer's manifesto. No one asked the question: Should we even read this psychopath's, or sociopath's ramblings? Doesn't this delving into his motives only play into his hands, giving validation to his demented motives? Wouldn't all this attention encourage other egomaniacs express themselves in the same way? Shades of the Unabomber.

  • slider 96

Anyone attempting to make this event a partisan issue has got rockss in their head . This guy was a nut , his trouble go beyond his firing and permeate his social life . His ex-wife has attested to the fact , this guy wasn't right in the head . What differense does it make who he likes or what he attempted as a rationale , because it's all coming from a sick mind . McVeigh had a manifesto to , except he gave it verbally after his capture , he also had some sicko fans and approvers , and they were much more numerous than 8000 tweets or facebook comments .Nobody "loves " a mass murderer , the author is simply BLOWING THE DOGWHISTLE , a prety common practce around here .

  • slider 96

And I wouldn't be so presumptious to diss charlie Sheen , the manifesto listed him as someone this maniac liked , so Sheen did what anyone else in that position should have done ….try to talk the man down before more get killed . Even the LAPD CHIEF , claimed he would reopen the investigation , why do you think he stated that ? Same reason , an attempt to slow or stop the killing spree .
Man ! Common Sense ain't so common .
