Two Americas

dividedReposted from Bob Lonsberry.com

The Democrats are right, there are two Americas.

The America that works, and the America that doesn’t. The America that contributes, and the America that doesn’t.

It’s not the haves and the have nots, it’s the dos and the don’ts. Some people do their duty as Americans, to obey the law and support themselves and contribute to society, and others don’t.

That’s the divide in America.

It’s not about income inequality, it’s about civic irresponsibility. It’s about a political party that preaches hatred, greed and victimization in order to win elective office. It’s about a political party that loves power more than it loves its country.

That’s not invective, that’s truth.

And it’s about time someone said it.

The politics of envy was on proud display last week as the president said he would pledge the rest of his term to fighting “income inequality.” He notes that some people make more than other people, that some people have higher incomes than others, and he says that’s not just.

It was the rationale of thievery.

The other guy has it, you want it, Obama will take it for you.

Vote Democrat.

It is the electoral philosophy that gave us Detroit. It is the electoral philosophy that is destroying America.

And it conceals a fundamental deviation from American values and common sense. It ends up not being a benefit to the people who support it, but a betrayal. The Democrats have not empowered their followers, they have enslaved them – in a culture of dependence and entitlement, of victimhood and anger instead of ability and hope.

The president’s premise – that you reduce income inequality by debasing the successful – seeks to ignore and cheat the law of choices and consequences. It seeks to deny the successful the consequences of their choices and spare the unsuccessful the consequences of their choices.

Because, by and large, the variability in society is a result of different choices leading to different consequences. Those who choose wisely and responsibly have a far greater likelihood of success, while those who choose foolishly and irresponsibly have a far greater likelihood of failure.

And success and failure can manifest themselves in personal and family income.

You choose to drop out of high school or to skip college and you are apt to have a different outcome than someone who gets a diploma and pushes on with purposeful education. You have your children out of wedlock and life is apt to take one course, you have them in wedlock and life is apt to take another course.

Most often in life our destination is determined by the course we take.

My doctor, for example, makes far more than I do. There is significant income inequality between us. Our lives have had an inequality of outcome. But, our lives also have had an inequality of effort. Whereas my doctor went to college and then gave the flower of his young adulthood to medical school and residency, I got a job in a restaurant. He made a choice, I made a choice. And our choices led us to different outcomes.

His outcome pays a lot better than mine.

Does that mean he cheated and Barack Obama needs to take away his wealth?

No, it means we are both free men.

And in a free society, free choices will lead to different outcomes.

It is not inequality Barack Obama will take away, it is freedom.

The freedom to succeed, and the freedom to fail. And there is no true option for success if there is no true option for failure.

The pursuit of happiness means a whole lot less when you face the punitive hand of government if your pursuit brings you more happiness than the other guy.

Even if the other guy sat on his arse and did nothing.

Even if the other guy made a lifetime’s worth of asinine and shortsighted decisions.

Barack Obama and the Democrats preach equality of outcome as a right, while completely ignoring inequality of effort. The simple Law of the Harvest – as ye sow, so shall ye reap – is sometimes applied as, “The harder you work, the more you get.”

The progressive movement would turn that upside down.

Those who achieve are to be punished as enemies of society and those who fail are to be rewarded as wards of society. Entitlement has replaced effort as the key to upward mobility in American society.

Or at least it has if Barack Obama gets his way.

He seeks a lowest common denominator society in which the government besieges the successful and productive and fosters equality through mediocrity.

He and his party speak of two Americas.

And their grip on power is based on using the votes of one to sap the productivity of the other.

America is not divided by the differences in our outcomes, it is divided by the differences in our efforts. And by the false philosophy that says one man’s success comes about unavoidably as the result of another man’s victimization.

What the president offered was not a solution, but a separatism. He fomented division and strife, he pitted one set of Americans against another.

For his own political benefit.

That’s what progressives offer. Marxist class warfare wrapped up with a bow.

Two Americas, coming closer each day to proving the truth to Lincoln’s maxim that a house divided against itself cannot stand.

The variability in society is a result of
different choices leading to different consequences, but these are always made within the constraints of individual talent and circumstances.

For example, you can make a choice that seems to be as wise as Gandalf when made, only to spend a lifetime regretting it afterwards.

An example: Going to college and university only to find when you hit the labour market that you’ve no work skills.

    • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

None of which justifies income redistribution by government.

  • I_Am_Me

There is a small problem with this article:

“The Democrats have not empowered their followers, they have enslaved them – in a culture of dependence and entitlement, of victimhood and anger instead of ability and hope.”

If this is true, then man does not have free will, and the rest of the article is irrelevant.

I think a more accurate statement would be that what has transpired is a mutual agreement formed of low character on both sides between the entitled and their enablers. There is certainly indoctrination being performed on both sides, but that still is not Clockwork Orange style brainwashing.

This is just a nitpick. Same as when people violate Godwin’s Law.

Outside of torture and known brainwashing techniques, no one is being enslaved by the left. It’s fine to have compassion or even pity on the downtrodden who keep voting Democrat in Detroit, but they are not slaves. They are responsible for their own flavor of ignorance.

    • BohdanUke1

Excellent comment. Integrity, principle, responsibility. What’s that?

    • James Keir Baughman

Communist lies again. Worse, trying to claim God’s words “I AM!”

      • I_Am_Me

        Who’s the communist?

My name derives from Descartes. It is not in reference to the Bible.

        • Atikva

Not to Descartes either. “Cogito, ergo sum”, or “Je pense, donc je suis”, or “Mais moi, qui suis-je?” have nothing to do with “I am me”.

          • I_Am_Me

That does sound closer, but I do not believe it through grace, but rather through exercise of my free will.

          • Atikva

It’s all right, free will comes from grace too.

    • Michael Garfinkel

The difficult choices imposed by life are exacting, and the escape into personal irresponsibility and entitlement are always there; the Left, i.e. the Democrats offer compensation for this escape – but at a price.

We are seeing one kind of Leftist compensation in Ferguson – the propagation of the myth that high levels of Black crime and incarceration are symptoms of white racism.

The mainstream media, particularly CNN, love this lie, and serve eagerly in its propagation.

Unfortunately, the consequence of this is the detriment of the entire community, but this detriment accrues especially to the Blacks, who are encouraged to continue in their self-defeating and destructive attitudes and behavior.

For which, in ever greater numbers, they have become known and despised.

    • Atikva

Yes, you are are right, one is responsible for one’s own flavor of ignorance. But it does not absolve those who take advantage of such a weakness to gain power and exploit those they claim to be helping – at least, not according to our Judeo-Christian civilization.

Blockheads and profiteers share responsibility in this instance.

    • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

All right – “enslaved” is less accurate than “seduced and corrupted,” but it is true that the welfare class which votes Democratic is enslaved to this extent: Democratic politicians give them stagnation and hopelessness while promising a better life. In the end, although the welfare class is bad in accepting and even demanding income redistribution, the Democratic politicians who offer this in pursuit of power are worse.

      • I_Am_Me

I’d agree with this. One other word I’d throw out there is betrayal. The Left has betrayed the black and poor communities, but they will never see it that way since the bulk of their entire platform is built on the so-called “noble lie.” And they’ve been telling the noble lie for so long that they know believe it in their hearts in a self-hypnotic way. It’s quite disturbing and one wonders if the cycle of deceit and betrayal can be broken.

        • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

I think the only way to break it is to (1) point out the evil of income redistribution, and (2) adopting specific Constitutional protections to prevent politicians from engaging in this activity. The welfare class will have to adopt a work ethic or perish.

    • Giles Blyzzard

Good point. They refuse to see that the dems destroy everything they touch. Minorities refuse to acknowledge that the democrat party owns slavery, the KKK and Jim Crow. They refuse to acknowledge that the inner cities of all our major cities have been run (into the ground) by democrats for decades. They just keep on electing the same failures over and over.

  • Gamal

Obama is really enforcing inequality. Someone who works hard will get paid less per amount of work than someone who hardly works at all. An alcoholic who does nothing will make as much as a medical student who works all the time. A person who works extra hours building a business will have his money taken away and given to black people on welfare who will then knock him out with the knockout game and take his wallet. The outcome will be flight from America from those who can immigrate elsewhere. The outcome will also be that no one will make the extra effort to start a business. Why should they if their money is taken away. The ultimate outcome will be that everyone will be poor except for Obama.

    • Docs357

      Well said . Bulls eye

      • BS77

IT is just like Animal Farm by G Orwell….only worse

    • sid..goldberg.

You have to be retarded to think that there is a difference in D vs R.

    • Sheik Yerbouti

You’re wrong on 1 count. The “Knockout Game” isn’t about robbery, it’s an expression of pure racist hatred toward their victims. They rarely take anything in these attacks.

      • Drakken

Jut wait until a pack of ghetto rats runs into the wrong victim, then watch as the blacks howl with rage and riot.

        • Sheik Yerbouti

This is overdue. Of course we don’t have any “white supremacist” groups willing to take up the issue because they know the government would not support them. But they also know that most Americans wouldn’t support hem either. Which is why the KKK is out of business.

It’s going to take some average white men who decide they have had enough of the attacks on their grandmothers and disabled relatives. Unfortunately they will likely be inexperienced, so it will be a huge mess.

These black kids have nothing to do but eat on our dime and exercise all day long. Then they stay up all night long and fight each other like HJ’s. They’re the perfect unguided weapon just itching for reaction points.

          • Drakken

You would be amazed at the number of veterans who are quiet professionals who deal with this sort of thing quietly. Ever wonder why in certain cities black feral youts disappear all the time?

          • Sheik Yerbouti

I just figured they all moved to better quality shiiteholes like Detroit, Memphis and Jacksonville. It would be interesting to see what effect a bunch of independent Paul Keresy’s might accomplish. Simple vanishings don’t really make much of a statement.

          • AnneM040359

Remember, also, Americans are ARMED to the teeth bigitime.

          • Sheik Yerbouti

So are gangs. But gangs have more relevant training in urban warfare. Weapons are fine, but they are still just tools. A tool doesn’t make expertise. Live practice does.

American colonists learned combat the hard way at the hands of battle-hardened native tribes. It prepared them for war with England. Gangs don’t have the numbers for a sustained conflict.

But math and percentages have always been a weak spot for most gang members. So they’ll continue the obvious guerilla war against Americans. The government and media will continue to say “everything’s fine”. There’s a toothpick holding back a flood.

          • AnneM040359

And that flood is coming, mark my words.

    • Drakken

The final outcome will be that no one will have anywhere else to flee to, thus the backlash will begin in earnest and to the horror of those who have pushed us too far.

Obama and the Democrats do not care about equal opportunity, they are instead demanding equal outcome. In equal outcome, you get nearly the same pay as the CEO of a company and of a bum who has never made any effort in their entire life. The reality is that equal outcome is nothing more than socialism taken to the level of communism and covered in a glitzy coat of paint. It will destroy America by destroy the motivation that cause people to excel. Those who demand equal outcome should be tried for reason because it leads to a national suicide and nothing more.

To put it more directly, the division is “black and white.”

    • MrUniteUs1

I live in a state where most people are not or black or white.
They’re buying up land and businesses and sending profits overseas.

      • Drakken

Tell your people that first, then we’ll talk.

        • MrUniteUs1

Americans are my people. What country were you and your parents born in?

          • Drakken

I was born here, my parents came from Europe.

          • MrUniteUs1

Very good. What country? I spent some time in Europe:. Spain, France, Italy, England, Germany, and Norway.

          • American Patriot

England is not a country, fool. England is part of the country known as the United Kingdom (or Britain). Calling the UK “England” is offensive to the people of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the UK’s other constituent parts.

          • Drakken

Bloody semantics, England in the ole vernacular is the same goddamn thing as Britain.

          • MrUniteUs1

Using your logic one could say America is not a country fool. America is a part of the Earth known as the Western Hemisphere, which consist of two continents, North America and South America. The United States is part of the North American continent.

          • American Patriot

That’s different, fool. The United States is the only country in the world that has the name America as part of its full official name: The United States of America. No other country in the Western Hemisphere has the name American in its full name. Not Mexico (United Mexican States). Not Ecuador (Republic of Ecuador). Not Argentina (Republic of Argentina).

          • MrUniteUs1

“Countries of the United Kingdom is a term that can be used to describe England, Northern Ireland, Scotland andWales: the four parts of the United Kingdom.[1][2] Prior to 1922, the entire island of Ireland rather than just Northern Ireland was one of the countries. The alternative term Home Nations is also used, although today this is mainly in sporting contexts and may still include all of the island of Ireland.”

Up to a point, but I saw plenty of white people at the Occupy gatherings.

  • octogator

This style of article, where one extreme faction tries to explain the thinking of their imagined foes doesn’t do much. I guess it makes people who already like to hate their political opponents cheer, so that’s nice. This article is the equivalent of a liberal-written article that basically says: all conservatives are racist, violent and uneducated. And all you guys want to hear about liberals is they hate America and white people and guns and hard work. Good job keeping yourself worked up and angry, I guess.

    • Wolfthatknowsall

Those of us who eyes have been opened, for some time, don’t need agitators. We’ve been “worked up and angry” for a long time, now.

You wouldn’t have been saddled with Ronald Reagan had he not gotten “worked up and angry” over the fact that the FEDs took 90 cents out of every dollar he made. The rest actually made history.

But this is the difference between people who actually think, and those who respond to the promptings of their masters. We’re angry, and have been for a long time …

… By the way, liberals really do hate America, white people, guns, and hard work …

    • Drakken

Those of us that produce versus those of you leftist that don’t is coming to its inevitable conclusion, you will have brought what is coming upon yourselves.

      • octogator

What is coming? What am I supposed to fear? A kind of doomsday or are you planning to eliminate liberals or what does that vague “you will have brought what is coming upon yourselves?” mean? What?

    • quousque

Just check who is on the street demonstrating while the average Joe and Jane Shmo are hard at work. While you are at it, revisit Wisconsin and Scott Walker recall and pay attention to uniforms, provided transportation and professionally printed placards of union members.

“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.”
      Alexis deTocqueville,

    • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

“And all you guys want to hear about liberals is they hate America and white people and guns and hard work.”

They do all hate America and white people and guns and hard work. Also success, if earned. Also virtue. That’s why we hate Lefty – we’ve good reason to. They’re not just political opponents – they are the enemy, and either we destroy them or they will destroy us. Now if that’s too severe for a weenie like yourself to handle, then you probably shouldn’t be here (hint, hint).

  • William

Seems that only Republicans talk of class in terms of producers and ‘takers’.. A very social darwinist way of thinking. We saw that with Mitt Romney’s silly comment about 47%ers.

    • kasandra

It wasn’t a silly comment. What he said was that he couldn’t see himself getting much support from the 47% who were receiving benefits from the government. It would be extremely difficult for a Republican to get support from such recipients especially when running against Santa Claus. It may not have been a politically wise statement but, then again, it was made in a private conversation surreptitiously recorded.

      • William

It’s class warfare pure and simple.

        • Kruton

          Its dummy warfare,dummy

          • William

The dummies are the welfare-dependent white trash who agree with Romney.

          • Sheik Yerbouti

So as your argument goes awry you use ethnic slurs? For what? To “win” the debate?

          • William

            I stand by my statement,

          • Sheik Yerbouti

Most bigots and racists do actually.

          • Drakken

You remember well communist, it is those white trash who you have to depend upon, you need us, we don’t need you and when the time comes, you will rue the day you pushed us too far.

If all white trash disappeared tomorrow I would be no worse off. It would also save the taxpayer money.

          • kasandra

            Racist!

          • William

White trash is not just a class problem, its’ a state of mind.

Rush Limbaugh is worth millions. Sarah Palin too.

          • kasandra

Racist. You qualify “trash” with the descriptor “white.” So I assume you are speaking about Caucasians and negatively, at that. So you are a racist just the same as if you wrote a post saying “It was black trash that was rioting in Ferguson, MO,” or similar.

          • William

White trash is only a very small segment of ‘white America’. Most of us whiteys are not of that mindset.

          • kasandra

Try using that excuse when you call some small segment of ‘black America’ “black trash.” I’ll look forward to watching their response on You Tube.

          • nobamunism

Ahhh class bigotry………the calling card of the collectivist.

          • ricpic

White trash, huh? You worthless racist trash.

          • William

I have nothing against non-trashy white people.

        • kasandra

Oh, so it’s class warfare now to state that it would be hard for Romney to get support from people who rely on the Santa Claus-in-Chief for their “livelihood.” Seems pretty obvious to me. It certainly was obvious to Harry Hopkins (“Tax and tax, spend and spend, elect and elect.”) Google him, William. I’m sure you have no idea who he was.

          • William

I know who he is, he worked for FDR. And yes, pitting conservatives against half the population is a form of class warfare, because the intent is to demonize minorities and the poor as ‘takers’.

          • kasandra

He wasn’t pitting anyone against anyone, brilliant. He was saying he thought it futile to try to obtain votes from groups who suck at the public teat when his opponent was acting as Santa Claus. It’s your president who is always pitting classes against one another. Or have you been asleep since 2009?

          • William

It makes sense to me that people caught in poverty or on welfare or disabled would vote to preserve their assistance programs. You would too, if you were in the same position.

          • kasandra

You really are out there, yes? Do you realize your post is exactly what Romney was saying. People on welfare would vote to preserve their assistance programs and would, therefore, vote for Obama who had been creating, expanding, and expanding the benefits for welfare his entire first term. Yet, when he says it you say it’s a “social Darwinist way of thinking.” What is it when you say virtually the exact same thing?

          • William

The point is that Romney said this as if it’s a bad thing. But that’s the attitude he was raised with. It’s like a veteran voting for a candidate who says they will expand veteran’s benefits.

          • kasandra

Nonsense. He said it as a matter of fact. And it is a fact as your own post recognizes. And you don’t know a thing about how he was raised. I’ll tell you one thing, his father – George – was one of the best governors Michigan has ever had.

          • keyesforpres

It is a bad thing when someone votes themself other peoples’ money. They vote for that and don’t give a rip about their freedoms being taken from them.
A veteran getting veteran benefits is not quite the same thing

          • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

Thanks for admitting that Romney was basically correct!

          • keyesforpres

          • William

‘in control of everything’ and ‘equally poor and miserable’ is pretty vague.

You communist keep trying to change your spots and rhetoric, but your still communists, and no matter how many times you red b*stards try communism, it always ends up with stacks of dead bodies.

          • William

In reality, I am a left-libertarian who votes Green Party and worked as one of Nader’s Raiders during the ’04 elections. I have no interest in seeing anyone die.

          • Drakken

The green party is nothing but communism draped as environmentalist, they are watermelons, green on the outside and red in the middle. You communist and your good intentions are not fit to buy anyone a goddamn cup of coffee.

          • William

            Bah, watermelons.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that….
In reality, Greens are a party of less government and more personal freedoms. If it feels good do it. Dismantle the police state. Decentralized government and power to the people.

          • Drakken

Greens are communist in thought and in process, thanks for playing dumbazz.

          • William

Greens are liberal social democrats. Think of us as libertarians with a social conscience.

          • keyesforpres

…..and liberal social democrats are COMMUNISTS.
Now that we have roll call out of the way….

I’m not a Wiccan, I’d rather save the humans. That’s the basic reason to support environmentalism. It’s a matter of human survival.

        • keyesforpres

What about the rest of the day?

    • http://www.stubbornthings.org NAHALKIDES

That’s what we have, William – a productive class that votes largely Republican and a taker class that votes Democratic so they can legally steal things that belong to us. Of course, some day we may just decide to stop allowing your side to go on stealing – and what will you have to offer voters then, if not piles of other people’s money? If you find this difficult to accept, then let’s try this experiment: disfranchise everyone on welfare, and run Obama against Romney again and see who wins.

      • William

My point is that Romney sounded like a social darwinist when he said that, and I think a lot of other people picked up on that too. Republicans like Romney are why Jews and other minorities tend to vote Democrat.

  • Cappy1437

Obama’s thinking is beyond belief. He’s already in the process of buying a 4 plus million dollar home in southern California. He has elevated himself to what he and Michelle wanted which is to have the movie star, jet setter lifestyle. He’s not going back to the hell-hole Chicago to identify and help people where his political life began. He’s beyond that now. He will be doing the golf course strutt, chewing gum and not have a care in the world except about himself. My favorite cartoon about the Obama’s greedy, hypocritical thinking is the one where Michelle has on her very expensive designer dress and says to her husband, “Barry, does this make my hypocrisy look big?” This was after he talked about income inequality and how he was going to work to make things equal. Obviously not for him. Is this guy for real? He wants to take your money so he can have more. How many faces does he have? Remember the “Three Faces of Eve” movie? He has psycho problems. The American people need to be delivered from his evil.

If this contention is true, it’s odd that the vast majority of entrepreneurial billionaires in the US are Democrats.

  • MrUniteUs1

When Bush left office we were losing over 800,000 jobs a month. Within 2 years we were adding over 200,000 jobs a month. An improvement of over 1 million jobs a month. Republicans took over the house demanded cuts that slowed down the economy. They cheered when unemployment went up and cried when uemployment went down. Reagan did just the opposite. He increased spending and hired over a million new government workers. The funniest thing is to here millionaire rightwing talk show host tell their worshippers how bad the economy is. They told you to stay out of the stock market back in 2009, while they invested. The stock market more than doubles since. Auto sales up, Real Estate sales up.

The deficit has gone up, and depending on whose numbers you look at, it is all bad, slowest GDP, highest amount of govt spending ever. This one way or another is going to end up very bad for the US, and once the economy tanks, your really going to see unrest.

          • MrUniteUs1

The budget deficit has gone down since President Obama took office. I am willing to bet on it Drakken. Are you?

The rate of climb and rate of spending is still making so called paying down the deficit null and void, it is still climbing, when you cut defense to pay for social programs the rate is still the same and let us not forget the interest. Start paying attention to the Fed and what they are worried about what their numbers are and then get back to me with your Obummer talking points.

          • keyesforpres

Well, first of all, Obama ran up the biggest deficit in history and then it gets reduced somewhat from his runup. Still making it the biggest deficit in history.
I don’t know what is wrong with you and your blind support for this tyrant.
O’s orchestrated this invasion at our borders and you still defend him.

It is called a business cycle.

You do not judge a president because of the business cycle happening. You judge them by by how they cope with the with the ups and downs of the business cycle.

This has been the weakest recovery ever.

This is all covered in ZeroHedge.

        • MrUniteUs1

Strongest rebound ever until House Republicans took over the house in 2011 and slowed down the recovery

          See chart

          http://www.businessinsider.com/we-told-you-obama-would-be-pumping-this-chart-2012-2

          • Pete

Looking at graphs since WW2 or since WW1 recoveries are usually steepest right a recession hit bottom.

I was looking for a chart of the last 7 recessions graphed together. The time line would be the number of quarters since the start of the recession. Zero Hedge had one. It showed that Obama’s handling of the recession was the worst.

Obama has pretty much gotten all he had wanted from budget debt to ObMaMa care.

            He owns this.

Don’t worry, I’ll find the chart soon. I am going through 18,000 files. I am down to 8,000 files to sort and collate. I will find it when I finish next week. I will be using it since you will still be here trolling and the subject will come up again. Don;t worry all the other readers and poster will have th e chart too.

So keep om troll UptownSteve. You go nothing better to do. You have no job. How is your Obama phone?

One more thing, I am having luck with the troll, who is or is posing as a white racist. I’ll have luck with you too.

            Have a nice day.

    • kasandra

Untrue. We lost that for two months. The typical month lost far fewer jobs. It’s like saying that the GDP has been shrinking two percent a month under Obama because for a couple of months it shrunk by that amount. BTW, how are you liking that booming recovery in which fully half of the jobs being created are part time? Vibrant, isn’t it.

    • kevinstroup

Does the new job pay as well as the old job. Bet not. Looking at just employment numbers and not tax revenues is a lost cause. Plus, have you checked out the U-6 unemployment rate. Check out its graph for the last 25 years.

    • keyesforpres

OH and don’t forget all the folks getting their hours cut to oh…around 28 per week instead of 40 so they get below the ObamaNOcare limit?….since most small buisnesses can’t afford the unconstitutional ObamaNOcare? Please don’t forget that!!

The best thing Americans can do is by American and hire American.

  • Harry_the_Horrible

    It is really easy, actually.
You get more of what you subsidize.
We are subsidizing failure, incompetence, sloth, dependence, and bad choices in general. So, naturally, we get more it.

    • LuluB

…and our tax system actually punishes those who became affluent (not wealthy) through hard work, study or careful investment in their small business. The Fed punishes Middle Class savers and Banks reward those who deliberately got into palaces they knew thy couldn’t afford. All while punishing the “ants”, so that the “grasshoppers” at the bottom and top, can continue living lives of comfort, despite so many greedy, irresponsible choices.

Apparently, The Middle Class (the people most likely to pay their bills, work to pay expenses, invest in neighborhoods, pay tax, not be able to use bankruptcy to cover school debt, which is an investment, unlike wealthier people’s Capital investments) is supposed to pay out of pocket to cover:

      1. The Rich’s stupidly speculative and greedy failed investments, overseas market failures, failing businesses because of the short-sighted “layoffs = bonuses!” culture and

      2. The Poor’s choice to spend every extra dime they have on nails, excessive Quinceaneras, gold, car rims, sound systems, $100 worth of junk food, liquor and party food every week (it’s expensive to cover food needs when you’re 100lbs. overweight), $400,000 houses with mortgages that aren’t paid after the first month, “Dr. Dre Beats” and flat screen TVs.

THIS is what’s wrong with America. While The Middle Class toils, sacrifices and scrimps, the rest are growling at us to give them more, even as our societal obligations soar and theirs shrink. They also have the loudest voices because they have the most time and resources — and a lot of our hard-earned money. Bail-outs for the rich, a bevy of well funded “activist” groups for the poor.

Bring more poor, illegal immigrants in to work for poverty wages, so we can provide them Middle Class lifestyles with our subsidies and rich, corporate leaders can pocket the coniuous windfall of profits, despite poor business choices and lack of serious innovation. That’s where we are now.

  • MrUniteUs1

The best thing Americans can do is by American and hire American.

    • kasandra

The best thing Americans can do is throw out the Democrat Party. Their economic policies have, in the past 6 years, thrown millions of people out of the workforce. If you care about workers, build the Keystone Pipeline, lower corporate taxes, cut EPA regulations. All things the D party is against. Unless, that is, you think we can have a flowering economy with part time jobs and bottling artisan maple syrup and stuff.

      • MrUniteUs1

I like clean air, and water, more than I like talk show host.
Go to West Virgina ask them how deregulation worked out for the their water supply.
Ask the farmers in the MIdwest how they fill about the the Keystone Pipeline tar sand poses to their water supply. Google tar sand oil spills. Ask Transcanda why they won’t guarantee that any of that oill will be use in the United States. Read up on the few permanent American jobs the pipeline will generate. Find what out foreign company will supply the steel. How would you like our goverment force the loss of part or all our your property and claim eminent domain on behalf a foreign company.

        • kasandra

Read my comment again. If you want more American jobs, get the Democrats out of office and let’s get the economy going. To paraphrase the Canadian Prime Minister, we’re treating our country like a national park.

          • MrUniteUs1

So that’s a pretty weak excuse for not buying and hiring American. You may want to rethink that. If I were Chinese I would LOL. One thing we need to do is reverse that tax breaks given to American companies that ship jobs overseas.

          • kasandra

I’ll tell you what the Chinese are laughing at – our negative balance of trade with them, our shipping our manufacturing jobs there and elsewhere, our massive borrowing from them. and the fact that the interest we pay on that debt every year virtually pays their entire defense budget.

  • MrUniteUs1

The progressive tax system started long before President Obama was born.
It’s less progressive now than it has been in decades. I think Americans would be shocked at the number of wealthy people we subsidize including the Koch Brothers

    • Drakken

Talk about your good buddy Soro’s and his millions undermining America first before you ramble on about the Koch brothers. Your another one of these socialist who utterly disgust me, and when you and others of your leftist ilk bring about the final Balkanization, the butchers bill is something you and yours will pay with complete shock and awe.

      • MrUniteUs1

I wrote including the Koch brothers Not only the Koch brothers. But the fact is your tax dollars help pay $88 millions dollars to the Koch brothers. 110 billion dollars in Corporate welfare overall.

“Consider Koch Industries. Despite the Koch Brothers being the biggest
financiers of the anti-government right, and despite their billing as
libertarian “free market” activists, their company has relied on $88 million worth of government subsidies.

Similarly, behold the big tech firms. They are often portrayed as
self-made up-from-the-bootstraps success stories. Yet, as Good Jobs
First shows, they are among the biggest recipients of the subsidies.

Intel, for instance, leads the tech pack with 58 subsidies worth $3.8 billion. Next up is IBM, which has received more than $1 billion in subsidies. Most of that is from New York – a state that is right now in the middle of a full-scale advertising campaign proudly promoting its handouts.”

        http://pando.com/2014/02/26/fortune-500-companies-receive-63-billion-in-subsidies/

        • Drakken

What part of “its not your goddamn money” do you not understand? We have the highest corporate tax rate in the world. My company, and I don’t blame them one damn bit, moved overseas, and you socialist idiots keep driving companies overseas in the hopes you can extort more money out of them for your social programs, guess what? It ain’t working.

          • MrUniteUs1

You’re not too smart are you. Who do you think pays for the military and for our roads, etc. taxpayers. If Koch is paying then you the rest of have to make up the difference. Now let me know when the Koch brothers stop using taxpayer funded roads.

          • Drakken

I am way smarter than you will ever be and I am paid far more than you will ever make shortbus. You do not understand or comprehend simple economics and it shows in spades. Let me know when your good buddy Soro’s and company quit undermining the US and then get back to me.

Why should the Koch brothers, or Soros for that matter, be taxed at a higher rate than the rest of us? A rich person in a flat tax environment still pays more than a lower income person. How does punishing economic success attract more of it? What entitles you or me to money that you or I did not work for or negotiate for?

          • MrUniteUs1

The Koch Brothers, Mark Zuckerberg at facebook, Mitt Romney, Warren Buffet all pay lower tax rates than most tax payers. Many corporations pay no taxes, but receive millions in tax refunds paid by tax payers.

Why won’t the Republicans state that Democrat “fairness” is an assault on liberty? What are they afraid of? That they’ll lose the black vote? Ha ha ha. That they’ll be smeared as bigots? Now we’re getting close to the truth. But if they fear being labeled bigots more than they feel the need to defend the things they ostensibly stand for…maybe they don’t stand for the defense of liberty. No, I’m not a cynic. I’m not saying there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between the parties. But if the Republicans will not fight such an obvious assault on liberty as DemoMarxist leveling what good are they. Things are going to get a lot worse. When they do a small government liberty loving party will have to arise and replace the Republicans as the genuine opposition party. If that doesn’t happen liberty WILL die.

  • Fed Up

“It’s about a political party that loves power more than it loves its country.”

Twenty-eight years ago starting out in insurance biz as fresh-faced 25 year old “moderate” I used to lunch weekly with my manager. We’d discuss biz first and then move on to politics, culture, etc. because we were becoming friends and he was something of a father figure to me. He was also a bombardier in B-24s during WWII who flew his first 25, and then volunteered for 28 more with Wild Bill Donovans OSS “Carpetbaggers” on clandestine missions in unarmed, unmarked, all black planes. He was once shot down at night over Murmansk harbor because their’s was a lone, unmarked bomber flying level over hundreds of warships, harbor defenses and cargo ships. The pilot decided he’d open the bombay doors with the interior lights on in the hopes they’d be recognized as a friendly. It didn’t work, oddly enough, and only convinced all they were under attack and every gun in the harbor opened up on them. My friend went out through the nose gear doors but three men didn’t make it. “That’s war”, he shrugged 40 years later. He had guts and I admired him.

He grew up in a devout Catholic family in an all Dem NJ town but even during the war was a Republican and a conservative one at that. Over lunch he’d often get highly indignant and condemn libs in general and Dems in particular in the strongest terms for turning all he fought for to ashes and ruin. One day he leans over the table, lowers his voice and said with steely eyes, “Democrats care only about power. Over people, over the country, over all else.” which I suspect now had far more real meaning to a man like him than us who’ve never risked it all for country and liberty.

I chalked it up to just the inflamed convictions of a partisan old man and a little over the top and to be taken with a grain of salt. Fast forward three decades and I know his remarks were not only true but mild and more gracious than they deserve.

    • I_Am_Me

He was exactly right. It’s about power, and really more about control. Go watch the Matrix. Take note of the colors of the pills and the dialog from Morpheus.

  • TMRYAx2

    YES!!!

The Dems claim to be compassionate by shielding men from the consequences of their bad choices. But those consequences don’t just disappear – the Dems simply transfer the burdens to anothers shoulders.

Redistribution of income – is simply redistribution of consequences and responsibility.
By removing the bad consequences from people’s choices we remove the people’s responsibility for themselves.

Since people learn form their mistakes – mistakes known by their consequences – removing consequences removes the incentive to learn and make better choices.

“The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly, is to fill the world with fools.”
    - Herbert Spencer

After people are liberated from responsibility for themselves – the gov’t will step in and take it. They will take responsibility for you – provide you with food, shelter, health care, money, and so on… – so that all you have to do is whatever you want to do.

This’ better world’ – this ‘grand utopia’ the Dems are pursuing is called – childhood.

As a child our parents are responsible for us. They provide for all of our needs so that all we have to do is play.
-But there’s a funny thing about responsibility – whoever holds it makes the decisions.

When you parents told you – “As long as you live under my roof you’ll do as I say”. – they were simply expressing this truth.
-Whoever is your provider is also your decider!

If you want to make your own decisions – you must be responsible for yourself. Personal Responsibility is the mark of – Adulthood.

    • octogator

You guys are paranoid. You know we are a less socialist nation than we were when Ronald Reagan was president, when it comes to welfare and taxes. If America is in decline, it isn’t because liberals got our way.

      • American Patriot

There is nothing liberal about so-called “liberals” except for drugs and money. Conservatives are the true liberals, which is classical liberalism.

        • William

Uh, no.. modern conservatives (eg. Tea Party) are theocratic authoritarian corporatist fascists. Government and corporations in total control.

          • timothy ossman

Nope.Tea Party conservatives believe in limited government. The Progressives are the thought policing eco-fascists, and state worshipping theocrats.

          • William

Tea Party conservatives, like Sarah Palin, Sharron Angle, Rick Santorum, Louie Gohmert? THOSE Tea Party? Yeah real libertarians those Tea Partiers… LOL!

BTW, it is the responsibility of the government to protect the environment.

          • timothy ossman

Environmentalism is a pretext for Marxists to punish big business. Global Warming is a hoax, not science. Moreover, you can’t have limited government AND fascism. Fascism is what happens when governments regulate the corporations to the point of de facto ownership.
            You’re a monkey.

          • William

I’ve been involved in the Green Movement since the 70s, when it started. Trust me it is all about protecting people and the environment and nothing to do with abolishing government, race issues or the class struggle. In fact, environmentalists talk about the pollution problems in Communist nations, especially since the Soviet Union fell and the more recent environmental holocaust in China and India. Communist nations have been the worst polluters in the world.

          • timothy ossman

It’s not about abolishing government, monkey man, it’s about abolishing free enterprise. You tree huggers have been co-opted by power hungry Statists. Environmentalism makes it easy and morally commendable to condemn business owners and to pretend that by opposing capitalism, you are “saving the planet”—a religious mission if there ever was one. Grow a brain bro.

          • William

The ultimate goal of Marxism is to abolish all forms of government. Of course it’s a utopian fantasy. Environmentalism is all about studying the environment and working to protect it. Every human being on Earth is dependent on the environment. Read a book dude.

          • timothy ossman

Nope. Marxism is about the abolition of Private Property, and a dictatorship, yes, a DICTATORSHIP, of the proles. Read Marx, braw.

          • William

Not really interested in Marx. Not my thing, brah.

          • timothy ossman

Obviously, which is why you have no clue about how your tree-hugging, planet-saving work has everything to do with him. Marx was the first person to use environmentalism as a means to achieving political ends. You’re a watermelon: green on the outside, red on the inside, brah..

          • William

I’ve known a few Marxists and I have read some, but mostly Engles. American Communism was something from my grandfather’s generation and never interested me much. Politically, I am Green Party. Left-libertarian. Economic liberal (within reason) with a social conscience.

          • timothy ossman

“Politically, I am Green Party. Left-libertarian. Economic liberal (within reason) with a social conscience.”

Green Party = Fascist takeover of private industry
Left-Libertarian = Your concept of liberty is that of “positive liberty,” which is the opposite of freedom.
Economic Liberal = Income Redistribution. Marx bro.
“Social Conscience = You adhere to the Communitarian Ethic, which emphasises the collective over the individual.

You’re a left wing totalitarian. That high horse you sit astride is in fact a trojan horse which carries within it the seeds of America’s destruction. Way to go hippie.

          • William

We are part of society whether we like it or not. Economic liberalism means free markets and free enterprise. Austrian school economics.

            Go read a book, conservative.

          • timothy ossman

You’re not serious. You can’t be in favor of Free Markets on one hand while dry humping Al Gore’s leg on the other. You’re either the most naive hippy on earth or the most disingenuous.

          • William

If you think Al Gore is an environmentalist then I have a bridge I’d like to sell you. Cheap. Very little rust and just repainted.

          • Softly Bob

The term Left-Libertarian is an oxymoron. Not possible. That’s like saying ‘Christian-Atheist’.
Still, I used to be very Left-Wing and invented contradictory terms to describe myself.
Then one day I grew up.

          • keyesforpres

            Class struggle?
Now there is a Communist phrase.

          • American Patriot

If the so-called “Green movement” was really about environmentalism and not Communism, then why are they called “watermelons”? Why was the first Earth Day in 1970 on April 22, rather than on March 20, which is the Spring Equinox?

          • keyesforpres

You are correct, they are not LIBERALtarains. Thank goodness.

          • Drakken

Christ your effing stupid, and there is no fixing it unless and until you meet reality head on.

          • William

I follow politics pretty closely. Remember the Tea Party rallies? They were pro-government, having guest speakers like Palin and Santorum and Republican media personalities.

Tea Party is right wing, not civil libertarian.

            Pro-government, not pro-freedom.

          • Drakken

You obviously are learning disabled or you fell off the shortbus after licking one too many windows, because the Tea Party is for LESS Government and LESS interference of Government into the everyday lives of Americans. So wake up from your delusions.

          • timothy ossman

            I think he’s a shill.

          • Drakken

The cognitive dissonance is so great that they actually truly believe that they aren’t communist when they are the very essence of communism.

          • timothy ossman

Conservatives are not civil libertarians, they are Conservatives. Libertarians today are Luddites, conspiracy whackos, and more fearful of capitalism than big government. They are default democrats most of the time. The Tea Party is for limited government which is right wing in America. The liberal progressives are overwhelmingly in favor of totalitarianism.

          • William

You keep believing that if it’s what makes you happy. I can only suggest you do a little research and find out the meaning of those terms.

          • timothy ossman

“Liberals” today believe in Positive Liberty, not Negative Liberty. The difference between these two spells the difference between Free Market and Fascism. You’re a fascist, buddy.

          • William

            There’s nothing fascist about liberalism.

“Do as though wilt, if it harms none”,.. yeah real fascist.

            loL!

          • timothy ossman

Well, you’re leaving out the part about using state power to coerce and tax in order to pay for the do-nothings. Another thing: that Wiccan maxim you quote there is further evidence of your Leftist politics. Wicca = Eco-Feminism, a noxious combination of feminazism and eco-fascism.

            LOLOL!

          • William

Ok ‘Tim Osman’, so you don’t like women, Wiccans or the environment. You are entitled to your feelings. To each their own.

          • keyesforpres

That’s the problem with you LIBERALtarians…..you want NO government….ANARCHY.

          • William

We’re not anarchists either. As Benjamin Franklin said, government is best which governs the least. The role of government is to protect people and our property. Not to be a domestic spy agency or a global police force.

          • timothy ossman

Okay but if you’re in the GREEN PARTY, then you’re in favor of massive governmental controls. How can you possibly be so convoluted? Crack? Weed? Bath Salts? MSNBC?

          • William

I think of it in terms of adequate protection. ‘Massive’ suggests that something is too big. When it comes to the lives of humans and protecting the environment you want adequate enforcement of regulations.

The problem today is NOT than there’s too few regulations, it’s that there’s not enough enforcement of existing regulations. There would be less pollution if the EPA did its job like in the past. Nowadays they let companies pay small fines so they can go on polluting.

          • keyesforpres

We Tea Partiers agree with that. That is what the Tea protests were about. You should have actually gone to one.

          • Lightbringer

No, child. That quote has been attributed to several people, among them Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine. It has not been attributed to Benjamin Franklin.

          • keyesforpres

That’s funny you say that because I’ve heard Ron Paul supportes claim that he got the Tea Party movement going.

          • William

That was the pre-Obama TP, when they teamed up with people like Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink to protest torture, war spending, the domestic spy program etc.
After 2008 it was co-opted by corporations and the Republican Party and turned it into a pro-government thing.
And from what I have seen lately the TP has abandoned his son Rand.

          • keyesforpres

Rand supports amnesty and is open borders….just like his dad.
Giving a muslim savage a nose douche is not torture.
            You want torture?
            Start reading BARENAKEDISLAM.

          • William

I would love to see justice for acts of torture. Go after the ones here in America first, then worry about elsewhere.

          • keyesforpres

Giving a nose douche to muslim savages is not torture.
Like a typical LIBERALtarian you don’t give a rat’s hiney about what muslim savages are doing to the Christians.

          • Drakken

Red is positive and black is negative and you make sure his nuts are wet, haji talks every time.

          • keyesforpres

            Really?
I went to all my local Tea Party rallies and both in DC. Most were little worker bees and small business owners.

          • William

I don’t know about the local rallies but the large ones that were held in various locations across the US featured right winged members of the government and conservative media personalities as guest speakers.

          • timothy ossman

You could have ended with “I don’t know” because you don’t know anything.

          • keyesforpres

I went to both the rallies in DC.
Everyone was polite and did you know there were actually a number of black speakers?
Again, the number one thing I heard from fellow protesters was “excuse me”.
Our first local one in the spring of 2009 turned out to be about 5000 people!!! Again, everyone was polite.

          • William

Polite, yes, but with a common right wing political agenda to support politicians. Some of the biggest authoritarians in congress at the time. I thought it was bizarre.

          • keyesforpres

Actually, there were no speeches supporting Republicans. It was about the government overreach and getting back to our Constitution and our Founders’ ideals.
Did you actually go to a Tea Party rally? That’s what they were …..rallies…not really protests and we stood around and listened to speeches.

          • American Patriot

Uh, actually, that would be your beloved Occupy Wall Street movement. But you are right that government would be in control of everything. That is what Communism is about, fool.

  • Armed_Infidel

No, there’s only one america, but it’s fast becoming a third world state. Once whites become a despised, “privileged” minority, the black and brown majority will demand equality of outcome no matter what. Whites will make deals with the majority hoards to stay afloat, but the inherent instability of third world nations will eventually bring america down.

    • pumped_up_kicks

look at rhodesia and south africa after the whites gave up control.

      • Drakken

        Exactly!

  • I_Am_Me

This is probably not too far away from being a realistic outcome. For current and historical reasons, Texas is the only viable place to try this. It’s going to have to get far, far worse before this is possible though. I’m guessing 2030 is the year that the Western Suicide will have reached a critical juncture.

  • MrUniteUs1

Two Americas. Those that spread hate and those that don’t.

Two Worlds: Those that spread hate and those that don’t. Hitler’s number 1 weapon was the radio microphone.

    • keyesforpres

Thank you. You are correct, Democrat spread hate. Just listen to O’s speeches…..always badmouthing Republicans. The Commander In Chief should not be badmouthing the American people like that.
O is an immature, unpresidential jack@ss.

      • MrUniteUs1

        Do you hate Democrats?

        • keyesforpres

No. I hate what they’ve done to this country and I HATE how they’ve treated blacks. I know many folks who are Democrats who are nice people, but I hate that they’ve chosen the party of the KKK and welfare dependency.
That is why I am a FREDERICK DOUGLASS REPUBLICAN. Our party was formed in 1854 because the Democrat controlled Congress passed pro-slavery laws and blocked the civil rights of black Americans.
          Here’s what the Democrats passed:
In 1820 the Missouri Compromised was passed. This law permitted slavery in the federal territories and it reversed the Northwest Ordinance of 1789 (which forbade slavery in the federal terroritories).
In 1850 the Fugitive Slave Law was passed. This law rerquired Nothernoers to return escaped slaves back into slavery or pay a huge fine. Because of this law, approximately 20,000 blacks in the North fled to Canada.
In 1854 the Kansas-Nebraska Act was passed. This law extended slavery into parts of the Kansas-Nebraska territory, which included Colorado, Wy, MT, ID, ND and SD!!

          • keyesforpres

Coming out of the Civil War blacks made amazing strides. One was the SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE!! Did you know that? All of the Southern legislatures were dominated by blacks….all Republicans of course.
They were becoming doctors, dentists, entreprenuers, and teaching themselves to read!
Then the democrats cheated in one of the presidential elections after the Civil War and it got thrown into the House to determine a winner. The South (Democrats) said they would concede the election if the Union Troops pulled out. They did and Democrats put the screws to blacks. If they had just let blacks flourish, there would have been no need for the Civil Rights movement in the 60s because blacks would have long been equal.
Then the democrats passed the Great Society in the 60s. They actually encouraged blacks to quit their jobs and gon on the dole!! Enslaving blacks all over again. This is what has led to most blacks being born out of wedlock. Before the Great Society, most blacks were born INTO wedlock.

          • keyesforpres

You must read the book, “SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT: AMERICAN HISTORY IN BLACK AND WHITE”.
            by David Barton of http://www.wallbuilders.com
While you are on his website be sure to read about the black history section. Blacks fought side by side with us during the Revolutionary War. In fact, three of the men in the famous painting of Washington crossing the Delaware River are black.
Also, read the book, “FREDERICK DOUGLASS REPUBLICANS. THE MOVEMENT TO RE-IGNITE AMERICA’S PASSION FOR LIBERTY”

          • keyesforpres

I will leave you with a quote from Frederick Douglass (a freed slave).
“I am a Republican, a black dyed in the wool Republican, and I never intend to belong to any other party than the party of freedom and progress.”
            I believe in Frederick Douglass’s LIFE-EMPOWERING VALUES:
            * Respect for the Constitution
            * Respect for Life
            * Belief in Limited Government
            * Belief in Personal Responsibility

          • MrUniteUs1

Most Black Americans are not on welfare and most Americans are not Black. You have been brainwashed to believe there are no whites on welfare. They are not discussed. The fact is poor whites have been on welfare since the 1930′s. It was for whites only until the 1960′s. Today hundreds of billions go to corporate welfare and farms subsidies.

Black homeownerships skyrocketed during the 1960′s and
1970′s. So did the number of Black Americans graduating degrees and getting good jobs. Black teenagers found work in both the private and goverment sector. Summer job programs like CETA employed millions teens, and kept a lot of people out of trouble.

            Read up on Lee Atwaters

            http://www.thenation.com/article/170841/exclusive-lee-atwaters-infamous-1981-interview-southern-strategy

          • American Patriot

How do you expect me to believe such lies, fool? The Nation magazine is a left-wing magazine that is an apologist for all the Communist regimes of the 20th century. The so-called “Southern Strategy” was a myth. What are you going to argue next? That Northern Republicans of the civil rights era are Democrats today? That is despite the fact that most contemporary Democrats came from the New Left movement, which you ignore, just like you ignore and/or deny the existence of the short-lived segregationist American Independence Party. For the truth on who are the true culprits in why minority communities in this country are doing so poorly as a result of the culprits’ agendas, check this link:

          • keyesforpres

There was no Southern strategy. Nixon simply said he believed the future of the Republican party would be in the South as race became a non issue.
I did not say that most blacks were on welfare. However, they were encouraged to quit their jobs in the 60s and to go on the dole. THAT is the main reason for the breakdown in the black family. Deny it all you want. Your sad comebacks are precisely why we are in this mess. Too many fools like you that refuse to educate themselves on the truth.
Welfare is the number one reason many blacks vote democrat.

          • MrUniteUs1

Get back to me after you read the quote from Lee Atwater.

          • keyesforpres

            Ok, here it is….

            http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2013/06/what-did-lee-atwater-really-say.php

if you scroll down a ways they include in BOLD letters the last sentences that liberals leave out. Atwater actually said that by 1980 race played no part in Reagan’s election.. That Republicans won the South because race was no longer an issue for the majority of the voters.
Please read his entire quote about 3/4′s of the way down.

          • keyesforpres

I cannot emphasize enough how much you need to read the two books I suggested.
“FREDERICK DOUGLASS REPUBLICANS” BY K. Carl Smith explains how blacks have been lied to about this whole “Southern strategy” nonsense and how most blacks don’t know that it was the dem party that was the racist party.
By the way, K. Carl Smith is a black man who voted for Obama in 2008. I saw him speak and he explains what made him see the light. Hint: it’s a quote in the Bible.

          • keyesforpres

I never said their weren’t whites on welfare. There are too many ppl on welfare of all races. All part of Obama’s belief in the Cloward-Piven strategy….overwhelming our system so it collapses and makes the dollar worthless…..and poof…no more middle class.
However, blacks make up 13% of the population, but account for about 33 to 35% of welfare recipients. Almost 3 times their percentage of the population.
It is a fact that in the 60s democrats encouraged blacks to quit their jobs and go on the dole. I did not say all blacks, but dems tried to get as many as possible because they knew this would get their offspring to vote for them down the line.
I’m sure you know what Lyndon Johnson said after he signed the Great Society bill? He said he’d have your race voting democrat for the next 200 years…..only he used the “n” word.

          • MrUniteUs1

Yes Blacks make up 99% of the comments about welfare.
Whites make up less than 1% of the comments about welfare.
Whites on welfare is subject that is not to be discussed. For the 30 years of the the program welfare was for whites only.

          • keyesforpres

I don’t give a crap about your twisting of my and other comments.
You should be outraged that blacks were encouraged to quit their jobs and go on the dole.
If you take that to mean that only blacks, or mostly blacks are on welfare, than you have the reading comprehension of a first grader.
You have ignored all the facts I’ve given you.
You clearly aren’t interested in the truth. You simply repeat the same pathetic lines you lefty drones are told to post.
Guess you didn’t bother to read the actual truth regarding the Southern Strategy. Hint: the Southern Strategy that Atwater was talking about was THE DEMOCRATS SOUTHERN STRATEGY.
You would think at some point you would be pi$$ed that you have been lied to, but you don’t care. Why is that? Why do you defend the racist democrat party? Why??
I guess you won’t bother to read that short book either. You are a lost cause.

          • MrUniteUs1

By your own number more Blacks are not on welfare. I read the average stay on welfare is less than 3 years.
I don’t. know any, Blacks or Whites that quit their jobs to go on the dole. Most Black people I associate with work for a living. My cousins lost both parents when the oldest was 18. The relatives were willing take in the younger children. But they agree to stick together. Two became doctors, one a television executive one a musician and another a manager at the company he for. What about you Keyes, what do you do for a living.

          • keyesforpres

You really didn’t understand what was meant when I told you the dems encouraged blacks to go on the dole? The dems wanted to get as many blacks and they could on the dole so they could control them.
I work and have never taken any welfare. It’s none of your business what I do. I have been a victim of the litigation jihad by a filthy raping muslim and don’t advertise what I do.
Read the book. It’s short and a quick read. Start reading http://www.wallbuilders.com as well.
Did you read the link I posted? Do you now understand that the “Southern Stratagy” Atwater talked about was the democrats southern strategy?
Your refusing to respond tells me you get it….it was the dem’s southern strategy.

          • MrUniteUs1

99% of the conservation about is Welfare about Blacks 3 times the percentage. Less than 1% of the conversation about welfare is about. So do all these negative said about Blacks on welfare apply to whites.

          • MrUniteUs1

Your weakness is that 99% of your comments regarding welfare are limited to Blacks on welfare. This colors your comments and distorts reality. How do you know if Johnson said that. Who heard him say it? Is their an audio?

          • keyesforpres

            You’re so pathetic.
You have no interest in informing yourself with the truth of your party.

Show us the post where you discuss Causcasians on welfare.

          • keyesforpres

See? Attacking me. Not even mentioning what I actually posted. Trying to change the subject with your lies and then trying to make me defend myself. I have nothing to defend.
Frederick Douglass would be disgusted with your Communist self.

          • keyesforpres

Your weakness is you have tried to turn it back on me and are trying to make me defend myself because you have no response to why you are a member of the racist party.
Outstanding job with your Alinsky tactics.

          • keyesforpres

I should have typed “there” not ‘their’.

          • MrUniteUs1

Appreciate the history your sharing, but to me accurate you have to include Southern. Region trumps party. Racist Southern Democrats, hijacked the Republican party during the 1960′s and most became racist Southern Republican. Jesse Helms is one example. Republican Goldwater opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The only states that voted him were Louisana, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, and his home state of Mississippi. Southern Democrats told LBJ that if he signed the Voting Rights Act and Civil Rights Act into law. Democrats would lose the South. They were right.

You could add racist Southern Democrat Woodrow Wilson. He wanted to fire all Black government workers.
            http://www.pbs.org/wnet/jimcrow/stories_events_segregation.html

          • American Patriot

Most of the Southern segregationists left the Democratic Party to form their own party, the American Independence Party (which doesn’t exist anymore) when they lost their battle against civil rights reforms during the 1960s. Also, Goldwater was from Arizona, not Mississippi. Goldwater’s reason for voting down the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was because he feared about government power and that power abusing civil rights laws (which is what the Radical-in-Chief and his Attorney General are doing today regarding issues like voter intimidation and others). It was not because of his supposed animosity towards blacks at all, for in fact, Goldwater was actually a strong champion of civil rights for black Americans. As governor of Arizona, Goldwater desegregated the state National Guard about two years before President Harry Truman desegregated the US Armed Forces. ext, you are going to argue that most Northern Republicans decided to switch to the Democratic Party by using Donald Riegel as an example. Well, you are mostly wrong. Most contemporary Democrats came from the New Left movement. The New Left essentially took over the Democratic Party in the late 1960s and early 1970s and redefined its agenda. Today, the Democrats are the left-wing party whose agenda is almost identical to that of the New Left movement. What are you going to argue next? That George McGovern was an Eisenhower Republican?

You are so blind and full of it.
Racist democrats were in the North as well. They did not switch.
It was when race became a NON ISSUE that some left the party and became Repulicans.

The Hitlers of today have MSNBC, ABC, and CBS.

      • MrUniteUs1

That’s an insult TO the holocaust survivors and the Jewish media executives at the those stations. Do you hate the people at MSNBC, ABC, and CBS?

Obama is a ‘Dumocrat’, and an Illegal Immigrant, in this Country illegally! Nothing he has done or signed is legal!

    • keyesforpres

      Exactly.

  • hopkins

I think it was Jefferson who said that Democracy is only for a certain type of people with certain values. I suppose if you get enough of the third world to immigrate they can vote policies that redistribute wealth. Leaders have betrayed those people who are able to handle Democracy. Democracy is not good without integrity. When the Muslims in Europe are numerous enough not only to destroy the world’s greatest civilization, they could vote as a block to gain power in countries that have nuclear weapons. Where is the long range thinking? There is none.

  • timothy ossman

The Dixiecrats never left us. They still enslave the blacks.

  • pumped_up_kicks

any american with a job who votes for any democrat needs to have their head examined.

unfortunately, romney’s 47% has been grown to obama’s 53%…no conservative will ever win another nat’l election until after the coming meltdown.

  • Ivan

U have the rught approach i think. You never ever hear of something like the knockout game here in South Carolina, in the most conservative county in South Carolina I might add. Because people actually would enjoy it if it happenned. There are so many concealed weapons. What makes it worse for criminals is the love of the people to use their guns. Some poor kid tried to rob a Waffle House last year. The customers shot him so fast, it was almost unsporting. Then the sherrif paraded around the guy that shot the kid. Consequently, we have no knockout game. My theory is that if Bambi walks around the jungle without defenses, Bambi shouldn’t complain if she gets eaten. It’s time to start blaming the victims of crime for failing to take proper defensive measures. This constant whining about crime is a liberal utopian idea. It’s the idea that the world should be a certain way. Well it’s not. The world is predatory. People need to adapt to it, and eventually even come to like it. It makes life a lot easier

    • keyesforpres

I agree that the more that are carrying, the lower the crime.
However, many of these thugs have attacked from behind.

      • Ivan

I think I’ve read that. It’s all of a sudden. Right u are. I want my country back. It never was like this growing up. My mom would send me out to play for 10 hours and never worry. What on earth is happening to us.

        • Frances John

We used to play outside all the time.

      • Ivan

God bless u for liking Alan keys.

        • keyesforpres

I’ve agreed with him on every issue I’ve ever heard him talk about and write about. Wish he’d beaten Bush in 2000 and that he’d been the president, instead of Bush. We wouldn’t have O now and we would have secure borders.

    • Frances John

Yes, the world is predatory, and we are being told not to fight back. We need to get a much clearer picture of the nature of reality.

    • Ivan

Plato, in his laws, said, “for what men in general term peace would be said by him to be only a name. In reality every city is in a natural state of war with every other, not only proclaimed by heralds, but everlasting.” This is the Greek view. The Jewish view is in Jeremiah where it says “the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it.” This is also the Christian world view, that man is sinful and evil unless redeemed by god. Jesus said, “I send you out as sheep among wolves, therefore be wise as a serpent, and harmless as doves.” The only people who believe different from this are the communists, the socialists. They believe that man is basically good, or neutral and a child of nature. And yet, we know from experience that these communists at heart are monsters. They would eat your children if they had to. they have a heart filled with darkness. I fear that they have created a lawless generation almost on purpose, with the specific intent of aiming it at civilization and undermining it. As less cynical person might say that their policies have merely indirectly created a class of lawless godless predators. I think that deep down, the socialists may not believe that man is good. I think they believe that man is weak and can be controlled, and they don’t care if he’s good or evil. I’m not sure if this last conjecture of mine though

And now the country is on an official common denominator in the schools, as all kids are expected to achieve at the same rate as the others: no excellence is accepted. Will high school sports be next? Every player gets a trophy just for showing up and putting on the uniform.

    • Virgil Hilts

yeah…let’s make everyone equal…cut legs so everyone is the same height…pass a law to forbid stupidity…all must have the same I.Q….equal outcome for all…

    • Atikva

Right, everyone has to achieve the proper level of incompetence determined by the State.

  • keyster

Lucky for this country our current president isn’t an engaged, focused, hard-worker.
Imagine if he truly cared about being president!

    • Demo P. Seal; PouponMarks

His decisions are made by his longtime backers, the elite TransNational Rich, mainly Jews, for whom he reads a script handed to him, approved beforehand. He’s an actor, a sock puppet, a front man.

    Two Americas: North and South.

  • disqus_smWiOrvPtd

The only way to save America is to end the ideology that divides it, i.e. Marxism.
