US President Barack Obama and Russia's President Vladimir Putin.Originally published by the Jerusalem Post

Just before Russian President Vladimir Putin orchestrated Russia’s takeover of Crimea, the US’s Broadcasting Board of Governors that controls Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty announced that it will be ending its broadcast to Iraq and the Balkans next year.

And this makes sense. As far as the Obama administration is concerned, Iraq ceased to exist in 2011, when the last US forces got out of the country.

As for the Baltics, well, really who cares about them? Russia, after all, wants the same things America does. Everything will be fine.

As Obama said to Governor Mitt Romney during one of the 2012 presidential debates, “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.”

During the election, Obama was famously caught on an open microphone promising President Putin’s stand-in Dmitry Medvedev that he would have “more flexibility,” on missile defense after the presidential election.

He asked Medvedev to ask Putin to give him “more space” until after November 2012.

With a five-and-half-year record of selling US allies like Poland, the Czech Republic and even the Syrian opposition out to please Putin, it should be obvious that Obama will do nothing effective to show Putin the error of his ways in Ukraine.

Obama doesn’t have a problem with Putin.

And as long as Putin remains anti-American, he will have no reason to be worried about Obama.

Consider Libya. Three years ago this week, NATO forces supported by the US began their campaign to bring down Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

As Patrick Coburn noted in The Independent over the weekend, the same Western forces who insisted that their “responsibility to protect” the Libyan people from a possible massacre by Gaddafi’s forces compelled them to bring down Gaddafi and his regime have had nothing to say today about the ongoing bloodbath in post-Gaddafi Libya.

Libya is disintegrating today. There is no central governing authority.

But Gaddafi, the neutered dictator who quit the terrorism and nuclear-proliferation rackets after the US-led invasion of Iraq, is gone. So no one cares.

Coburn mentioned the recent documentary aired on Al Jazeera – America that upended the West’s narrative that the bombing of Pan Am 103 in 1988 over Lockerbie, Scotland, was the work of the Libyan government. According to a credible Iranian defector, the attack was ordered by Iran and carried out by Palestinian terrorists from Ahmed Jibril’s PFLP-GC.

He wrote, “the documentary emphasizes the sheer number of important politicians and senior officials over the years who must have looked at intelligence reports revealing the truth about Lockerbie, but still happily lied about it.”

If the Al Jazeera documentary is correct, there is good reason for the public in the US, Europe and throughout the world to be angry about the cover-up.

But there is no reason to be surprised.

Since its inception, the Iranian regime has been at war with the US. It has carried out one act of aggression after another. These have run the gamut from the storming of the US Embassy in Tehran and holding hostage US diplomats for 444 days, to the use of Lebanese and Palestinian proxies to murder US officials, citizens and soldiers in countless attacks over the intervening 35 years, to building a military presence in Latin America, to developing nuclear weapons.

And from its earliest days, the same Iranian regime has been courted by one US administration after another seeking to accommodate Tehran.

A similar situation obtains with the Palestinians. Like the Iranians, the PLO has carried out countless acts of terrorism that have killed US officials and citizens.

From the 1970 Fatah execution of the US ambassador and deputy chief of mission in Khartoum to the 2003 bombing of the US embassy convoy in Gaza, the PLO has never abandoned terrorism against the US.

No less importantly, the PLO is the architect of modern terrorism. From airline hijackings, to the massacre of schoolchildren, from bus bombings to the destabilization of nation states, the PLO is the original author of much of the mayhem and global terrorism the US has led the fight against since the 1980s.

And of course, the PLO’s main stated goal is the destruction of Israel, the US’s only dependable ally, and the only liberal democracy in the Middle East.

Yet, as has been the case with the Iranian regime, successive US administrations have courted, protected and upheld the PLO as moderate, reformed or almost reformed militants.

In many ways, then the Obama administration is simply a loyal successor of previous administrations. But in one essential way, it is also different.

IN A 2006 op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, civil rights historian Shelby Steele argued that the reason the US has lost every war it has fought since World War II despite the fact that it has had the military might to vanquish all of its enemies is “white guilt.”

White guilt, he argued, makes its sufferers in the West believe that they lack the moral authority to act due to the stigma of white supremacy and imperialism.

Writing of the then raging insurgency in Iraq, Steele explained, “When America – the greatest embodiment of Western power – goes to war in Third World Iraq, it must also labor to dissociate that action from the great Western sin of imperialism. Thus in Iraq we are in two wars, one against an insurgency and the other against the past – two fronts, two victories to win, one military, the other a victory of dissociation.”

This neurotic view of America’s moral underpinning is what explains the instinctive American tendency to strike out at those who do not oppose the West – like Gaddafi’s regime in Libya and Hosni Mubarak’s regime in Egypt – while giving a pass to those who do – like the Palestinians and the Iranians.

But whereas white guilt has afflicted the US leadership for the past several generations, past administrations were willing to set it aside when necessary to advance US national security interests.

This cannot happen with Obama.

Obama owes his presidency to white guilt. His promise to American voters was that by voting for him, they would expiate their guilt for the sins of European imperialists and southern racists.

It was the American desire to move beyond the past that enabled a first-term senator with radical connections and the most liberal voting record in the Senate to get elected to the presidency.

But tragically for the US and the free world, Obama’s worldview is informed not by an appreciation for what Steele extolled as America’s “moral transformation,” on issue of race. Rather it is informed by his conviction that the US deserves its guilt.

Obama does not share Bill Clinton’s view that the US is “the indispensable nation,” although he invoked the term on the campaign trail in 2012.

From his behavior toward foe and friend alike, Obama gives the impression that he does not believe the US has the right to stand up for its interests.

Moreover, his actions from Israel to Eastern Europe to Egypt and Libya indicate that he believes there is something wrong with nations that support and believe in the US.

Their pro-Americanism apparently makes them guilty of white guilt by association.

So Iran, the Palestinians and Russia needn’t worry. Obama will not learn from his mistakes, because as far as he is concerned, he hasn’t made any.

  • It’s All Good

The man we call Obama represents the alliance between communism, islam and black liberation theology and he fact of his presidency has forced billions of people around the world to acquaint themselves with the teachings of these ideologies. His reign has coincided with the end-game of the enemy powers ruled by those beliefs. Let Obama put his short bus into overdrive. The good people of the world are ready for victory.

If the USA can accept Israels annexation of East-Jerusalem, the Golan and Israels ongoing breech of International Law in West Jordan, why shouldn’t the USA accept Russias annexation of Crimera?

Good relationships with superpower Russia are far more vital to US interests than good relationships with its vassal Israel.

    • Zeke

That’s where you’re wrong, lad. Blessing Israel is in America’s vital interests. Cursing Israel betrays those interests. And by the by, the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan is, in fact, Eastern Eretz Yisrael.

And, en passant, it’s “breach” and “Crimea”.

Our annexation has a basis – it is called international law.

The previous three I listed don’t play by International law, the EU is a washout anyways, so why should we play by a set of meaningless rules.

    • Texas Patriot

The US should approve Israel’s annexation of Jerusalem for three reasons. First, it is the historical birthplace of Judaism and the cornerstone Israel’s identity as a nation. Second, Jerusalem was stolen by the forces of Islamic jihad which desecrated and destroyed the Jewish Temple as they have desecrated and destroyed the holy sites of every religion everywhere. And third, the annexation of Jerusalem would enhance Israel’s ability to defend itself from the currently arrayed forces of Islamic jihad which surround it, threaten it, and deny its very right to exist.

The Jewish people are the indigenous population of Israel. Adverse possession can only occur when the property owner willingly accepts displacement from his land. There is no such thing as West Jordan. Jordan conquered parts of Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria in the 1948 war initiated by the Arabs. They then killed and expelled the Jewish population. This illegal occupation was never accepted by the International community. Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem are the heart of the Jewish nation, given by God in a covenant marked by Jewish males on their eighth day of existence by circumcision.

Thanks for that hysterical rant. Normally I’m a fan of your work, but not this time. There is no downside to America as a result of Russia’s annexation of the historically Russian Crimea, but there is a potential upside. If our acquiescence results in Putin being able to placate the Russian hard-liners in the event we have to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons complex, it’s a win-win for America, Russia, and Israel.

    • Geoffrey_Britain

Hysterical rant? Everything Ms Glick said is factually and provably true. Characterizing it as hysterical is a reflection of your views being challenged not her engaging in hyperbole. There is no ‘upside’ for America in Putin illegally seizing territory through force of arms. Acquiescence is appeasement and that is only seen by aggressors as a reward and an invitation to further aggression. Russian hard liners will not be ‘appeased’ until Russia has warm water ports in the Med, a dominant super power status and a compliant America. Obama will NOT under any circumstance, destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons complex. In fact, he’s actively working with them on the ‘diplomatic front’ to assist them in that goal. Its a win-win for Russia, China, Iran and the hard core left.

      • Texas Patriot

Hold on a minute. Normally, I’m a big fan of your work as well, but in this case you’re off base. Glick’s characterization of Putin and Obama being anti-American is false. Putin is pro-Russia, and that is not always necessarily anti-American.

If as I suspect, a deal has been cut to allow Putin to annex the historically Russian Crimea in exchange for Russia’s acquiescence in the event we need to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons complex, it’s a win for America and Israel, and Russia wins because they would probably be the ones to rebuild the Iranian nuclear facilities, which would net them hundreds of billions of dollars of Iranian oil wealth. Don’t jump to conclusions about the significance and import of American acquiescence to the Russian annexation of Crimea. Things are not always what they seem.

Otherwise, Glick’s piece is full of factual inaccuracies:

        1. The PLO was not the “architect” of modern terrorism. That honor belongs to Sayyid Qutb who was the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.

        2. Obama doesn’t owe his presidency to “white guilt”, but the frustration of millions of independent Americans with the corruption and incompetence of both political parties. Obama won in 2008 because of his positive message of “Change We Can Believe In”, and he won in 2012 because of the incompetency of Romney’s campaign managers who failed to allow Romney to go for the throat in the third presidential debate on foreign policy.

        3. Both Republicans and Democrats were deeply deluded about the supposed benefit to America in the overthrow of Ghaddafi. The entire “Arab Spring” movement which was originally touted as a vindication of our policies in Iraq and Afghanistan turned out to be nothing more than a thinly veiled Islamist takeover by rebels affiliated with Al Qaida and the Muslim Brotherhood and the forcible removal of largely secular dictators for the ultimate purpose of the radical Islamization of the middle east and N. Africa. Our support of the rebels was a gigantic mistake, and no one in their right mind would favor American involvement in Libya today.

At the same time, there is no question that Glick is right about Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Party of Iran has been committed to the destruction of America and Israel and the advancement of fundamentalist Islamic jihad on a global basis since day one of the Iranian Revolution in 1979. At this point, the number one priority of the Free World is prevention of Iran from developing nuclear weapons, and that is an objective which should be shared by all rational nations of the world, including Russia and China.

        • Geoffrey_Britain

Let’s see if I’m off base.

Glick’s characterization of Putin and Obama being anti-American is NOT false but provably accurate. Though to be entirely accurate, it must be specified that Obama is more anti-American than Putin.

Putin is pro-Russia and he is a proponent of Eurasianism. He supports the formation of the Eurasian Union and embraces the Eurasian strategy. See this: Putin’s ‘New’ Russia http://geoffreybritain.wordpress.com/2014/03/17/putins-new-russia/

Though we do need to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons complex, that will not happen under Obama. In fact, he’s actively working to ensure that Iran’s pursuit of nukes is not derailed by Israel. SecDef Hagel, in his Senate confirmation hearings, let slip Obama’s strategy for
dealing with a nuclear Iran, which is ‘containment’.

But Obama knows that a containment strategy of Iran will not prevent the consequential results of Iran gaining nukes. That consequence will be the spread of nuclear proliferation into unstable, third world regimes and future jihadist States. The result of that, will be that sooner or later, terrorists groups will get their hands on nukes.

Both Obama and Kerry KNOW this, evidenced by their own public statements; “the region will be far less stable and far more threatened if Iran were to have a nuclear weapon. It will spur a nuclear arms race. It has risks for greater terrorism. It will be destabilizing. ” Kerry said the threat extends beyond the possibility that Iran could actually use the weapon on its enemies, specifically Israel. Iran simply having a nuclear weapon would “spur a nuclear arms race” in the region and could be used to support terrorists groups like Hezbollah, he said. Interview with SecState John Kerry – March 5, 2013

So Obama is intentionally facilitating the long term consequence of a nuclear terrorist attack upon major US cities.

Nor am I ‘jumping to conclusions’ I’ve thought long and hard about this and my premises, chain of logic and conclusions are reasoned and consistent. And I would welcome being wrong about all of this but the playing out of these dynamics is as predictable as a Japanese Kabuki play.

Sayyid Qutb inspired the PLO and promoted the rationale that justified the PLO’s actions. The PLO was indeed the “architect” because they created the tactics and strategies of modern terrorism.

Obama absolutely owes his presidency to “white guilt”. In 2008, the 83% white, Charleston, South Carolina congressional district, that has twice sent Republican Senator Tim Scott to Congress, voted for a black man for President. No white candidate with Obama’s pathetic resume would have ever been nominated, much less elected. He wasn’t even as qualified as Sarah Palin.

Obama won in 2012 not because of the incompetency of Romney’s campaign managers, though that was a factor but because too many Americans have swallowed the left’s kool-aid. Of those who voted for Obama in 2012, a recent Gallup poll showed that 79%! would still vote for Obama today.

Liberals were deeply deluded in the overthrow of Ghaddafi. Many conservatives said it was a mistake when Obama announced it and just about every libertarian was opposed from day one.

The entire “Arab Spring” movement was touted by Obama and the MSM. The conservative right knew, again from day one, that it was a facade constructed by Obama.

Yes, Glick is right about Iran. But the number one priority of the Free World is NOT prevention of Iran from developing nuclear weapons but futile attempts to appease and buy off Iran. While Russia has strongly facilitated Iran’s pursuit of nukes. Russia and China have repeatedly blocked and defanged all efforts to effectively confront Iran. Russia and Iran are the foremost protectors of the rogue states.

“Rogue states never turn out to be quite the pariahs they are deemed. They are only able to cause, or at least threaten to cause, mayhem because they enjoy the covert support – usually by means of technology transfers – of one or more major powers within the charmed circle of global ‘good guys’.” Margeret Thatcher

Yeah, you’re pretty much off base, but at least you’re passionate, you’re thinking, and you’re moderately well-informed, and that’s a lot more than most people. Hang in there, and we’ll see if I’m right about Obama and Putin, the significance of the Crimean annexation, and Obama’s ultimate intentions regarding the Iranian nuclear weapons complex. If I am, it will be a win-win for America, Russia, China, and Israel, and all the freedom-loving people of the world, including those representing the democracy movement in Iran, and the only losers will be the mullahs and the goons of the islamic Revolutionary Party of Iran.

          • Geoffrey_Britain

          • Texas Patriot

I don’t have a crystal ball, and I can’t predict the future. But if he can lay the necessary diplomatic groundwork with Russia and China, and if he can get them on board with us as strategic partners for the purpose of defeating the combined forces of Islamic jihad, it may well be the case that Obama, Hagel & Co. are give the green light to the Pentagon to go forward with their plans to destroy the Iranian nuclear weapons complex by surgical airstrike with whatever degree of force may be necessary to do the job. And if that scenario comes to pass, you’re going to look pretty silly.

As Daniel Greenfield suggested elsewhere, the real wager is millions of lives. But I think you’re dead wrong. America, Russia, and China are already cooperating on matters of mutual concern, and I expect that trend to continue for the purpose of advancing the mutual interests of all three nations. First, we cooperated with Russia to avoid the disaster of arming of the Al Qaida affiliated Syrian rebels. Second, we cooperated with China to rein in the mad boy-king in N. Korea, Little Kim Jong-Un. Third, we cooperated with Russia, China, and our other allies to require full inspections of the Iranian nuclear weapons complex. Wake up Drakken. The world has already changed for the better, and the great powers of the world are already moving forward out of the mutually destructive quagmire of the last fifty years. Unfortunately, your hatred of Obama won’t let you see it. Here’s a tip. However much Bourbon you drink, your addiction to the lies and hatred of the Cold War past is much worse.

        • Ellsworth Toohey

Indeed, Putin is pro Russia but not anti US, obama is anti US and anti Russia, in fact anti white !

          • Drakken

I agree with the following caveat, Putin is doing what is in Russia’s best interest, not the so called international community.

          • Texas Patriot

Drak, I think you’re beginning to get the picture. if Putin does what is in Russia’s best interest, and all the other nations of the world do what is in their best interest, Iran will find itself the odd man out, and Obama, Hagel & Co. will get the green like to test out the new bunker-busting technology they’ve been working on over in the Pentagon. Obama is a pragmatist and a survivor, and under those circumstances, I think he would probably feel compelled to pull the trigger to surgically remove the Iranian nuclear weapons complex. We shall see.

          • T800

it’s in Russia’s (Putin’s) interest for Iran to develop nuclear weapons, which it would then use to attack the US,via EMP attack from a commercial container ship,as it’s HAS TESTED in the Caspian Sea. It’s in Russia’s interest to have the US diminished in power, same for Iran;they thus have common interest. Because the US IS the sole power blocking them both from doing as they please.
Note Russia BEGAN Iran’s nuclear program,by selling them the Busheir reactor and it’s initial fuel load. It’s likely Russian scientists are giving Iran nuclear technical assistance.

          • Texas Patriot

T800: “t’s in Russia’s (Putin’s) interest for Iran to develop nuclear weapons, which it would then use to attack the US,via EMP attack from a commercial container ship,as it’s HAS TESTED in the Caspian Sea.”

Russia is just as much at risk of Islamic terrorist attack as we are, and they would be absolutely insane to put “cargo container nukes” into the hands of the Islamic Revolutionary Party of Iran and it’s jihadist surrogates around the world.

T800: It’s in Russia’s interest to have the US diminished in power, same for Iran;they thus have common interest. Because the US IS the sole power blocking them both from doing as they please.”

Russia is not fooled about the current state of the global chessboard. China and Russia are the two main targets of global Islamic jihad along with the United States, which is the third. If America, China, and Russia go down, the path is clear for Islamic jihadists to mop up the rest of the smaller countries, and claim victory in their goal to subjugate the world in the name of Islam. Thus, China and Russia both have a lot more interest in seeing America survive and cooperate with them against the common threat than in seeing us destroyed by it. Make no mistake about it. As a hardy and long-suffering people steeped in the brutal calculus of Russian winters, the Russian people know very well the plight of the helpless and hopeless last bull elk when he is surrounded by a pack of ravenous wolves and has no protection from his own kind. And that is precisely the situation in which Russia would find itself if America and China went down first.

T800: “Note Russia BEGAN Iran’s nuclear program,by selling them the Busheir reactor and it’s initial fuel load. It’s likely Russian scientists are giving Iran nuclear technical assistance.”

Russia made billons assisting Iran in developing their nuclear facilities, and they will make billions more if those same facilities are destroyed and have to be rebuilt. The more we destroy them and the more Iran has to rebuild them, the more money Russia makes.

You are wrong. Arafat’s uncle Haj Amin el-husseini, the British appointed leader of the Palestinian Arabs (the guiding light of the PLO) directed the Passover riots of 1920 in which five Jews were killed, two women were raped and more than a hundred Jews were wounded. Later on he also founded the Muslim brotherhood. His successor as leader of the Palestinians, Yassir Arafat, was the one who then perfected terrorism in the modern world. He was the one who conceived the airplane hijackings, the Munich massacre etc.

          • Texas Patriot

Al-Husseini may have been an early leader in the PLO, and the PLO may have been very active in the early development of the tactics of modern terrorism, but I think few knowledgeable scholars would dispute the responsibility of Sayyid Qutb and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt for their role in creating the philosophical architecture of modern Islamic terrorism. It may well be true that the PLO developed and perfected the tactics of airplane hijackings, suicide bombings, bus bombings, restaurant bombings, etc. etc. etc., and no one can discount the horrific role those tactics have played in inflicting terror and misery on the Western world in general and the Israeli people in particular. But in all fairness, without the philosophical architecture developed by Sayyid Qutb and the Muslim Brotherhood which was derived directly from the teachings and life examples of Muhammad and his followers, the modern and rapidly growing worldwide phenomenon of Islamic terrorism would probably not exist as we know it today.

          • objectivefactsmatter

“…but I think few knowledgeable scholars would dispute the responsibility of Sayyid Qutb and the Muslim Brotherhood for their role in creating the philosophical architecture of modern Islamic terrorism. ”

Scholars that want to portray Islam as peaceful will overstate the role Qutb played. His voice resonated for a reason. Those reasons had already existed and Karl Marx would not be able to explain it to you correctly.

who in your opinion will destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons or their manufacture, Obama? Israel should have done it a few years ago before Iran put it in the ground, but the US did not allow them to do that. I do not see a win win for the west at all.

    • Habbgun

I am as pro-Israel as anyone but Zionism is not about selling out group one for safety as group two. Zionism is about a Jewish homeland so that the world can be a better place as a whole. A Jewish state is not established to play geopolitical games. It is established to be a Jewish state.

      • Texas Patriot

I don’t disagree with that as an accurate statement of the Jewish perspective, but for the rest of the world, the continued existence of Israel is seen through the lens of individual national priorities. From my standpoint, the formation of the State of Israel woke up the sleeping giant of Islam and set in motion the out of control bonfire of Islamic jihad that is now raging around the world. So be it. The world had to wake up sooner or later, and now there is no turning back. The issue will be decided one way or another, and it will be the major powers of America, Russia, and China who have the largest impact on the overall outcome of the struggle. If the result is that the continued existence of the State of Israel is assured, and as you say “the world can be a better place”, so much for the better for all concerned. But at this point in time, the sword of Islamic jihad can properly be said to be threatening every civilized nation on earth, and not just the State of israel. Thus, the the phenomenon of Islamic jihad is no longer just an Israeli problem; it is a global problem, and a global response will be required to put out the fire.

        • republicc

The sleeping giant of Islam woke up a long time before the rebirth of the state of Israel.

          • Texas Patriot

I think most historians would point to the collapse of the Islamic Caliphate after WWI as the beginning of a period in which the historic supremacy of the doctrines of Islamic jihad were replaced by a new era of Arab Nationalism in which secular states rather than Islamic states dominated the political and cultural life of the middle east and north Africa. That trend, of course, is reversing itself today.

          • objectivefactsmatter

Because they had no other choice for channeling jihad. It should have unburdened them but instead confused them about their obligations vis-a-vis jihad and the Soviets were able to manipulate them with bullshit agitation propaganda.

You are delusional. Putin is THE hardliner. It’s under his tutelage that anti-Americanism spiked to high haven. The hate for America or “Pindostan”, if you know Russian, is all over Russian language websites.

  • AnnMarie

The Difference: As Patrick Coburn noted in The Independent over the weekend, the same Western forces who insisted that their “responsibility to protect” the Libyan people from a possible massacre by Gaddafi’s forces compelled them to bring down Gaddafi and his regime have had nothing to say today about the ongoing bloodbath in post-Gaddafi Libya. By bombs falling from the sky to protect the people on the ground. Yeah right.
Russia’s non-violent help to Russians in Crimea with troops on the ground and a referendum. Make up your own mind.

    • Habbgun

Who were threatening the ethnic Russians? They were trying to join the EU which would not be all the eager to accept the Ukraine if it was having serious racial strife. You have seen much more peaceful change in Eastern Europe than the Middle East. All big differences. Besides the people backing Putin in the US are the liberals who shoved Obama and his hypocrisies down our throat.

    • T800

Russian-Ukrainians in the Crimea were NOT being threatened or harmed, they did not need any “help”. They were on the sidelines, far from the troubles. This was merely the SAME tactic Russia used in Georgia, and Hitler used in the Sudetenland.

  • DontMessWithAmerica

An excellent summary and analysis, Caroline, with a few misconceptions. Many Americans did not vote for Obama the first time around because of white guilt or anything like it – he came along after an incredibly idiotic administration and to this voter (who like most others was ignorant of Obama’s past) McCain appeared not to have the physical and mental wherewithal to last four years. But you are right, Obama will not change gears because he has got into waters deep over his head, is personally far too screwed up to function effectively and is not a swimmer.

    • Garvey … Once a tolerant bre

      ………

    • republicc

Disagree. Everything is going according to plan. Obama has been totally successful in what he wants. And yes, white guilt is why everyone overlooked what was staring them in the face. Remember Reverend Wright (a former Muslim (supposedly former)) and all the leftists and Palestinians he hung out with.

    • nomoretraitors

How could you have been ignorant of Obama’s past? It was well documented by Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and frontpagemag. To me that’s willfull ignorance

      • DontMessWithAmerica

Ignorance is easy. That’s why Democracy doesn’t work very well. In 08 I had never heard of Hannity, Beck or FPM. Like the majority of voters I investigated the candidates no more than I used to check out cars before buying them. I recall a salesman saying, “Don’t you want to look under the hood?” I said, “I’m no expert on engines and I assume it has one so why bother?” I was lucky a few times until I got a lemon and then I did research before buying. Perhaps Obama will have that effect on a lot of American voters. They’ll start to inform themselves before casting votes but the majority will remain out to lunch…always.

My Relatives in Vilnius and friends in Ukraine NOW REALISE that the “Beacon of Democracy” is being led by a SOCIALIST Coward….and their LIBERTY and FREEDOM will soon return to OPPRESSION ….but Ellen DeGeneres won’t have to worry about a DECISIVE PRESIDENT…
Native Born Americans TAKE So MUCH For GRANTED ….and those who were experiencing Liberty and Freedom for the very 1st time, because of what THE UNITED STATES role in being the “Arsenal of Democracy” and ONGOING FIGHT TO DEFEAT COMMUNISM AND SOCIALISM are today holding out HOPE that AMERICANS and AMERICA doesn’t watch on as RUSSIA calculates that The GREATEST COUNTRY ever created will be hamstrung by a President who is clearly only concerned about how HE looks,as most NARCISSISTS are.
At some point the UNITED STATES WILL BE DIRECTLY TESTED BY BOTH RUSSIA,CHINA,and IRAN …and Native born Americans, and their children and grandchildren will be at risk..,because of the U.S PRESIDENT being more interested in Himself than in ALL AMERICANS and their REAL FUTURE.
I appeal to Native born Americans, who I know ALWAYS do the Right Thing,to understand the existential threat that is upon the WORLD ,and especially to the small,RECENTLY,Liberty loving countries…as the former KGB and the brutality that accompanies their actions, now is President of RUSSIA and never forgot that the SOVIET UNION was defeated by a STRONG UNITED STATES….will reestablish the”EVIL EMPIRE” as quickly as possible…knowing that AMERICA is led by a figurehead…and his second in command is just as incompetent.
That is how the Korean War started…
PLEASE HELP as best as you can…SANCTIONS WILL NOT STOP A DICTATOR.

There are several clear dividing lines today when it comes to good and evil. The clearest is the line where one side supports Israel and the other side supports Israel’s destruction. To be sure, previous American Presidents have had mixed results in this regard. But there has never been an American President who has been so clearly on the side that wishes to destroy Israel, as Obama does. The fact that he pays lip service to Israel (in order to placate many Jews who are too stupid to know any better) doesn’t change his actions.

A related dividing line is between America’s allies and America’s enemies. How Obama won his re-election of mystifying, given that in every case that has come up, he has taken the side of America’s enemies. Unfortunately, it shows that over half of Americans really don’t care about America’s friends. Those who re-elected Obama (including those who abstained from voting!) have sold out: Honduras, Poland, Israel, and many others who looked to America.

  • One man’s opinion

Obama is merely carrying out the same beliefs as his mentor would if he was prez. Obama really believes this, “No no no no, god**mn America, god**mn America!” to standing ovations from the curse-America crowd. Obama was there. Front row seat. Twenty years.

    • objectivefactsmatter

      All of his mentors.

  • T800

Consider the words of the man Comrade Obama hired as his top adviser on science and technology, John P. Holdren:

“A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to DE-DEVELOP the United States. Resources and energy must be diverted from frivolous and wasteful uses in overdeveloped countries to filling the genuine needs of underdeveloped countries.De-development means bringing our economic system (especially patterns of consumption) into line with the realities of ecology and the global resource situation. This effort must be largely political.”

“Redistribution of wealth both within and among nations,” wrote Obama’s future science adviser, along with Paul and Anne Ehrlich, “is absolutely essential, if a decent life is to be provided to every human being.”

“once is accidental, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action.”
It’s all part of his efforts to weaken the US economically, politically, and militarily.
1.He’s blocked domestic energy production,he’s hindered our economy terribly.
2.He’s insulted our allies and aided our enemies, like the Muslim Brotherhood.
3.He’s weakened our military, both through the weak economy and by shutting down needed programs such as missile defense,F-22 program, signing New START,and so on.

Comrade Obama IS the muslim Manchurian Candidate.

There’s a reason why,post-college,Comrade Hussein traveled to Pakistan,of all places. it’s not because he was a Christian. There’s a reason why Comrade Hussein was aided in getting into college by Saudi money and influence.

Iran is arming Islamist insurgencies in Lebanon, Yemen, Somalia and Bahrain.
Through Hizbollah, it has set up terrorist training camps in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico, often funded by narcotics. Iran is already in America’s backyard. Yet the US brushes all of this aside.
We can now see that when the US and the rest said they would not tolerate a nuclear Iran, what they really meant was that they would not tolerate its prevention.

  • DowntotheBone

“Obama will not learn from his mistakes, because as far as he is concerned, he hasn’t made any.”
