100% of Non-Profits Audited by the IRS were Conservative

No abuse of power to see here. Just good government. Good liberal government. Good authoritarian liberal government. (via Doug Ross)

The IRS has been under scrutiny since an inspector general’s report last May found that the agency had targeted conservative groups for lengthy and heavy-handed review of their applications to become tax-exempt organizations under section 501(c) 4 of the tax code. The controversy led to significant management shakeups at the IRS and generated a slew of congressional investigations, some of which are still going on.

On Tuesday, House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp (R., Mich.) said his committee’s continuing investigation has found that the IRS also singled out established conservative tax-exempt groups for audits.

“We now know that the IRS targeted not only right-leaning applicants, but also right-leaning groups that were already operating as 501(c)(4)s,” Mr. Camp said in a statement. “At Washington, DC’s direction, dozens of groups operating as 501(c)(4)s were flagged for IRS surveillance, including monitoring of the groups’ activities, websites and any other publicly available information. Of these groups, 83% were right-leaning. And of the groups the IRS selected for audit, 100% were right-leaning.”

100 percent. That’s certainly comprehensive. But the Democrats are addressing this question with the seriousness you would expect from the Party of Trolls.

“Instead of this prestigious committee using its broad jurisdiction to address critical issues that confront us, it has been consumed by a tireless effort by Republicans to find political scandal, regardless of what the truth holds, as they look toward the November election,” said Rep. Sander Levin (D., Mich.).

Yes, stop wasting time discussing our abuses of power and let’s focus on critical issues that don’t involve our abuses of power so we can go on abusing power.

when government no longer abides by the law, and in fact flaunts its lawlessness (like the Obamanation is doing) it becomes a defacto dictatorship. When the head of the govt justice dept, Eric Holder, is unjust and refuses to apply the law of the land without bias, the people are doomed.

      Only if we give up.

Imagine a single Democrat, just one, standing up to oppose this totalitarian monstrosity of using the government as a weapon to batter and bludgeon ordinary Americans.
You have to imagine because there are none.
The last decent Democrat was Zell Miller.
    Now they are completely extinct.

If a Democrat were to oppose the IRS they’d be audited and their career as a Democrat politician would be over. I’m guessing NSA research might also pop up in the news about them. The Democrats don’t see this as a problem because the IRS is their club to wield.

    governmental discrimination or witch hunt?

I make no claim to this being an original joke. What’s Black and White and Red all over? Obama. If you guessed right you win an audit from the IRS.

    That’s not even a smidgen…

Maybe we should call the Left “The 100%ers.” They want 100% of the power, they have used the IRS to persecute conservatives 100% of the time, and their previous Marxist “utopias” have failed 100% of the time.
