CNN thinks the big news out of the Bloomberg poll is that Clinton is beating Christie. Considering that Christie wasn’t a viable GOP candidate since his lovefest with Obama and the media has been whacking him non-stop since he won reelection while covering for Hillary, the numbers are unsurprising and irrelevant.
By a 51%-41% margin, the poll indicates the public doesn’t believe the former secretary of state when she says she never saw requests for more security at the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi prior to the September 2012 attack that left the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans dead. Some Republicans have hammered Clinton over her handling of the incident.
That means that even some Democrats aren’t sold on Hillary’s explanation that she bears no responsibility for what took place. And that’s without even knowing much about it.
And this is a poll in which Hillary enjoys a 56 percent net favorable rating and 52 percent of likely voters would vote for her. If she can’t win over that crowd, what crowd can she win over?
Now we’re finally finding out what difference it makes.
