63% of Americans Lack Confidence in Obama’s Ability to Make Decisions

obama-sad

There are the latest results from the ABC/Washington Post poll and I would call that a crisis of confidence. Men have some or no confidence in Obama’s ability to “make the right decisions for the country’s future” by 67-32. Among women, it’s 59-41.

63 percent of self-identified moderates and 36 percent of liberals have also lost confidence in Obama. Whites have lost confidence in Obama by 74 to 26, but non-whites still back him 58 to 41.

Republicans lead 44 to 37 in confidence handling the economy and 44 to 34 on the budget deficit, but Democrats are still ahead on health care, despite everything. More problematically, the Democrats win the ‘helping the middle class’ question by 46 to 35. These are numbers that the GOP really needs to focus on changing.

On the question, “Regardless of your other political views, overall which party do you think has better ideas about the right size and role of the federal government – the (Democratic Party) or the (Republican Party)?” 46 percent pick the Republican Party and 40 percent pick the Democratic Party.

Interestingly enough, 11 percent of Democrats pick the Republican view and 5 percent of Republicans pick the Democratic view. Independents prefer the Republican view by 49 to 30 percent.  Moderates pick the Republican view 45 percent to 39 percent.

27 percent of non-whites pick the Republican view as do 56 percent of whites. Women are split evenly on this question while men pick the Republican view 50 to 36.

18-39ers narrowly pick the Republican view by only 46 to 43. College grads pick the Republican view 49 to 35, but post-grads narrowly pick the Dem view.

Results from the last two presidential elections show that Americans should have a crisis of confidence in themselves. Anyone who has ever voted for Obama owes it to the nation to stay home for the next one.

Democrats have magic recipes they’re willing to share and Republicans want to pretend that the money trees those rich people are hiding don’t really exist.

The poll doesn’t make such sense with regards to Republicans being trusted with “handling the economy”, yet Democrats are trusted with “helping the middle class.”
Wouldn’t the middle class benefit from an improved economy?

“Wouldn’t the middle class benefit from an improved economy?”

Not according to the left. First the super-elite-fascist 1% thieves steal everything and economic indicators rise, then the heroes come in like Robin Hood and “restore” some of that “stolen wealth” to the middle class.

It depends on how ignorant one is about economics. Don’t they all say “trickle down is a lie?”

Of course this loss of confidence by whites is pure racism. Shame on you white America for not supporting a lying, statist, race huckster like Obama. You just don’t understand his genius and his benevolent ideas. S/O.

I say this every time a poll is released-how in the world could there be any percentage of Americans who support Obama when the evidence and the facts of all that he is done proves he is a really terrible president?

  • veeper

99.99999999 % have confidence that obama will lie every time he opens his mouth….

35% of those refuse to admit it……

  • American1969

Why isn’t that number higher? Are there that many stupid people in America that still love him?

    A ray of hope.
