71% of Obama Voters Regret Voting for Obama

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

Update: YouGov apparently mislabeled its poll headers so ignore anything related to the regret question.

71% of Obama voters regret voting for him, but since we are talking about Obama voters, a group slightly less intelligent than crispy fried crustaceans, the vast majority of them would still vote for Obama again.

“Do I regret jumping off that cliff? Yes. Would I do it again, also yes.”

Over seven in 10 Obama voters, and 55 percent of Democrats, regret voting for President Obama’s reelection in 2012, according to a new Economist/YouGov.com poll.

The poll asked those who voted for Obama’s reelection a simple question: “Do you regret voting for Barack Obama?” 71 percent said yes, 26 percent no.

— 80 percent of whites said yes, 61 percent of blacks said no. 84 percent of women said yes, and just 61 percent of men agreed.

— 55 percent of Democrats said yes, as did 71 percent of independents.

Incidentally 100 percent of Republicans who voted for Obama regret their vote, but 50 percent of them would still vote for Obama again.

Regrets are highest among women who have been clobbered with ObamaCare and higher among Hispanics than even Whites. The Midwest and the West regrets voting for Obama the most. The Northeast and the South regret it the least.

Slightly fewer black Obama voters than white Obama voters would vote for him the second time around. Only 64% of Hispanic voters would, so to the extent that there is a newsworthy shift, it’s that Latinos are abandoning Obama. But that shift was reported on before.

Republicans probably attribute it to amnesty, rather than a bad economy, even though it’s the job situation that is the real issue.

Only 89 percent of white Romney voters would still vote for him, but 100 percent of black Romney voters would. So would 100 percent of Hispanic Romney voters. That’s interesting because it shows that black voters on both sides of the aisle are less likely to change their minds.

Were these people awake when they were questioned about this?

    • Daniel Greenfield

As awake as they ever are

      • gerry

As awake as they will ever be.This just confirm what I always said, never underestimate the stupid of Americans. In fact they are Stalin’s chickens they want more of the same.Suckers for whummies.Priceless!

    Hi

can i ask where these figures and research comes from? this is the second time i have had to ask this question as journalists on this site do not cite their sources when publishing figures, despite using them to back up inflammatory claims (or ‘i told you so’s).

even a 1st year student knows this is very poor journalism.

obviously this site is geared towards a certain demographic, that’s fine, but wouldn’t your stories be much more convincing if you were able to cite where these amazing figures come from?

im not calling anyone a liar or trying to start a fight but the lack of the most basic info about these statistics is incredible.

      You stupid worthless c***

      There is a link.

At the top of the page.

That links to the Washington examiner.

Which links to the poll and to the people that created the poll.

      Go kill yourself.

      Really.

Just do everyone on the planet a favor.

For once in your miserable worthless parasitic existence, just go outside and walk in front of car and remove yourself from the gene pool you evil soulless scumbag.

    • A Z

The words, “71% of Obama voters regret voting for him”, in brown were a link to Mr Greenfield’s source.

Did you not know it was a link?

      The link goes to

      http://washingtonexaminer.com/poll-71-of-obama-supporters-regret-voting-for-his-reelection/article/2544165

Their source was YouGov dot com.

      https://today.yougov.com/news/2014/02/17/mitt-romney-phantom-comeback/

The ultimate sources were the poll respondents and Obama’s incompetence.

      • anon

Yes, but the source was wrong, and has been updates/corrected. Why won’t Mr. Greenfield do the same?

  • nev il-pinto

    ok

after a bit of clicking i’ve found the research was conducted by YouGov, who have a very interesting webpage, again obviously aimed at a certain demographic

their methodology for collecting data can only really be described as suspect (tho they are certainly not the only ones to use this).

basically these statistics were collected by a company that has a database of paid/rewarded research participants that would appear to contain conservative minded people, meaning the results are very biased.

this is not a random sample of americans but a random sample of right leaning americans

you would do better to gain your statistics from more reputable sources, especially if you intend posting them on the front page of your magazine

wow so it looks like im not allowed a right of reply. i’ll assume the post was moderated because i used ‘unt’ instead of ‘***’ rather than as an act of the thought police but we’ll carry on regardless

why am i stupid, worthless, soulless, evil, parasitic? is it because i missed the link or because i questioned something you seem to have a fair bit invested in?

as for my suicide, any suggestions? i’m really worried about getting it wrong because i am so worthless. you mention a car but what if that only left me crippled? then i could still reproduce more children to make posts that get you angry, and we couldn’t have that, could we

anyway… i dont intent to argue with you because when fighting with an idiot, from a distance it is often difficult to tell who is who.

but one question, do you realise how stupid you sound getting so angry at such a minor matter?

    regards

I have had my posts pulled when I used profanity or the moderator software would not allow it because I used the word N A Z I.

You have about 8 posts on your DisQus account, when you 1st started posting FPM and your post have only been about how bad FPM is.

What are we to make of your posts?

Your last post is a doozy. Are you sure you are feeling well, because your post does not make much sense.?

      • DGCJ

I have been routinely booted off of conservative, right-wing websites, and I’m rather proud of it, although it is disturbing that they are trying to limit my 1st amendment rights. Conservatives really hate me, because I bring up scientific facts, and try to educate them. They don’t like science nor education.

        • A Z

The 1st amendment is to keep GOVERNMENT from restricting a person’s rights. It says nothing about privately run forums. Seeing as how you did not know that I do not see how you could be a teacher.

I have been banned from a leftwing website (one which you frequent) and The Blaze. Yet you do not see me complaining.

          • Western Canadian

It would appear that this dolt just gave an example of just how well educated he is….. not even a little.

        • truebearing

Conservatives don’t like stupid people who delude themselves into thinking they are smart. I’d like to see some of your scientific facts, just for laughs.

          • Western Canadian

You are going to have a LONG wait….

  • nopeacenow

He was a community organizer who had no business being elected or even running for president. The people who elected him the first time around should have been ashamed of themselves. That they voted for him the second time should be enough to bar them from voting in all subsequent elections.

    • sarcasm

You shouldn’t talk about President Bush in that way…..

    • DGCJ

You upset because Obama accomplished health care. Keep whining, it’s pretty entertaining. I’m a proud Obama voter who would gladly vote for him in 2016, if they’d change the rules.

      • nopeacenow

        Now there is sarcasm.

        • Western Canadian

Or a crispy fried crustacean has learned how to use a keyboard….

      • L777

Obozo have NOT accomplished a dam thing, you phucken moron, the only he has accomplished is wasting more trillions of tax dollars while Americans are jobless.
Just because you live on welfare and get your free cheese does not mean that the rest of us want to live in poverty like you, that is your choice but we want better, that is why you would vote for him again

  • spyeatte

There are some people, who after hitting their finger with a hammer, will continue to do it because it hurts. That is your far-left low information voter.

  • Anon

Hey, Danny-boy, before you start insulting Obama voters, you may want to get your own facts right. The poll found that 71 percent of Obama voters WHO WOULD NOT VOTE FOR HIM AGAIN if the election were to be repeated today regretted their vote. Not that 71 percent of Obama voters regretted their vote.

Tha author of the original Examiner article has updated his story. Will you do the same?

    • Daniel Greenfield

      4. Regret Obama vote
Do you regret voting for Barack Obama?
Asked of those who voted for Barack Obama in 2012

      • DGCJ

Funny, but I don’t regret voting for Obama, nor does anyone I know regret voting for Obama, and I wish he could run again in 2016. He’s been the best president in recent history. Sorry Bill Clinton fans…

        • truebearing

You don’t have to admit all of your inadequacies. We can see how little you know.

        • Brysail

DGCJ Would you explain why you believe Barrack Obama has been the best President in recent times/?What do you consider recent, if you don’t mind my asking?
          Thanks

      • DGCJ

I will say that I’m a bit disappointed that Obama hasn’t fought for universal health care and the complete demise of the insurance industry. Let them go out of business. The government should handle health care, period…. So, yes, I’m disappointed that Obamacare didn’t go further and eliminate the insurance industry altogether. They are an evil presence in our society.

        • A Z

Russia, Britain and Canada have universal healthcare, you could live in one of those countries.

Just don’t get seriously sick in Britain. They might put you on a death pathway. You know the whole no food no water routine.

        • L777

Hey moron, this healthcare is a Socialist healthcare, in communist countries it what they have. We as the citizens should be able to pick and choose our own healthcare not have this POS do it for us

        • Brysail

DGCJ, who is going to pay for the Hospital, doctor prescriptions etc if the government takes over? If you mean the government where is the money coming from?
          Thanks for your help

      • DGCJ

As usual, I have no idea who these people were that were allegedly “polled”, because I have never met anyone who regretted voting for Obama. Not one… You must not be polling my friends?

        • truebearing

I’m sure you wouldn’t know any of them. They are the smartest of the Obama voters.

        • Duh32

No Obama voter is going to admit to another Obama voter they regret it, it’s not politically correct and friendship suicide.

        • L777

Hey dimwit, of course none of these morons are going to admit that they made the wrong choice. Obama is going down in history as the worst US president and considering he is the first black man to be president, he put to shame the black race. Obama is an embarrassment to the blacks and to the Country.

  • truebearing

In another study, 100% of those who voted for Obama were determined to be mentally defective or blind drunk when they voted for him.

  • Aditya Vivek Barot

Blacks neither comprehend nor care about ” the issues.” They’re tribal. As tribal as Muslims. Maybe more. That’s why they won’t change their mind because, for the most part, there is no mind to change, only animal impulse.

The black is the embodiment of the Sufi concept of the “nufz,” the untermensch, i.e., walking collection of base appetites and not much more.

  • L777

If this poll is true, then it states that blacks are really stupid people. How can anyone in their right mind vote for this lying POS who is either incompetent or evil, either way America loses

    • Brysail

“…Only 64% of Hispanic voters would (vote for him again), so to the extent that there is a newsworthy shift, it’s that Latinos are abandoning Obama.”
So 46% of Hispanic voters would not vote for him and 100% of Hispanic voters would vote for Romney again… And they are allowing Hispanics in the country by droves????

  • A Z

    Who are you upset with?
    - Are you upset with Daniel Greenfield?
    - Bryan Preston?
    - YouGuv?
    - The Poll respondents?
    - The readers of the poll?
    - Everyone?
